Went for lunch with my daughter who is a student at St. John's University. Our order of chicken cutlets, rice, beans and plantains was really delicious, very reasonably priced and so generous that we shared it and she still had enough left for lunch the next day. Unassuming but pleasant atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Always good! This establishment has been in business going on for decades now. I been a patron for many of those years. The staff consists of veteranos, veteranas, y newbies, of course, but service is always on par, and if at all possible, the food has gotten better over time, never a complaint.

The food here is delicious, but best of all, the restaurant is extremely clean! Even thw bottles with condiments are spotless and filled to the top. I can tell they pay attention to detail. I love a restaurant that is super clean and proud to serve good food.

Great place to eat. I started to come here when the other Colombian restaurant across the street demanded that I had to buy a soda or water with my order. At my age, nobody demand nothing from me...!!! Today I had the lemon chicken. It came with a small salad as well as rice and beans with sweet plantains. The food was great too. I wanted to move my seat because the television was blaring in Spanish, but the waitress lowered the television volume to zero. They would never do that for me at the Colombian restaurant across the street.

Been a customer for about 12 years now... In my opinion, they have done nothing but improve over the years. The food, the service, the atmosphere. I generally get the arroz con pollo (it has shredded chicken in it - not whole pieces, and for me, the balance is perfect. Love the tamales, too. Very family friendly inside, although I generally take out. And that green sauce they give you to drizzle over everything is perfect. The prices are great, and you will be full. I don't understand why anyone would complain about anything at this place. They deliver exactly what they promise, and the food and service have always been great, in my opinion! I only happened upon their reviews today because I am going with my sister tonight, and wanted to check the menu online to see if I might want to deviate from my favorites for tonight's meal...

The food is wonderful I bought family from out if town to this restaurant and they love it. My kids would usually eat the nuggets and hot dogs, but at this restaurant they eat anything off the menu. Great prices, fast service and great food. They employees are always helpful and friendly.

This is a wonderful local spot with great Colombian food and strong and sweet drinks. Sandra was a wonderful server who made the experience lovely as well.

The food, atmosphere, and service were all excellent. The empanadas were crispy on the outside and packed with carne. I also tried the pechuga empanizada and it was very good as well. Definitely a spot I’d recommend for anyone craving authentic Colombian food in a lively setting. Will be back!

One of the most delicious colombian plate I love is the rice with chicken, especially here in this restaurant. It comes with a ripe plantain. Delicious beans. The rice has chicken and vegetables. You can request chimichurri which is also delicious. I forgot to mention, beer and other drinks. There's parking but a two hour max for $2.00. is meter parking. Sometimes parking is hard to find.

I’ve been trying eating here since I was a child for pretty much as long as I can remember and am still a loyal customer so I like the food and I like the people. Have also gone on birthdays and such. The only thing I miss is that it used to be very home style and seemed like a Colombian restaurant was placed in the middle of Queens. It used to have Spanish jokes on the wall and things like that. They remodeled made it modern, and more Instagram friendly while taking down the things on the wall. It’s a change that took place a while ago and I get why they did it but I still miss it as it alters the experience but not to make it worse though. Also our most recent waiter Joanna was nice

Top spot in Queens!!!!!!!! Actually in NYC!!!!!!! I love this place they have been open for decades. I started going there around 2002 and it's the same owners today. Food is phenomenal, always fresh, never reheated. The natural juices (with water) are spectacular, made to perfection. The service is exceptional and the ambiance is very nice! You have to go for a visit and you will be never be disappointed.

Love this place. It's even better now due to renovation. Waitress that served us was very joyful and friendly. Ordered a "Bandeja Típica" (Steak, Porkskin, Egg, Rice, Beans and Sweet Plantain) Delicious! You will have to come in with an empty stomach because portion sizes are huge. Highly recommend.

They have a menu online, don't go by that menu, just call and ask what they offer and serve. They don't have some things that the online menu says they have. Other than that the food is good. Sometimes you have to ask them to make sure they cook the chicken well though, sometimes it comes back a little crunchy. Besides that everything is great.

I didn’t investigate the menu extensively. I had a great soup. I definitely recommend the Chicharrón with fried plantains. The plantains were thinly sliced and no oil residue was on it. The plate in which the fried yellow plantain, which accompanied the fried fish and rice was served has so much oil on it, it shined as the hot sun of Barranquilla. I didn’t like the lady who helped bring the food. She wasn’t very pleasant. The food on the other hand deserves a second visit. J

Food was good just a bit salty for my liking.

I have frequented this establishment twice before, but upon my third visit the place had undergone a face-lift. The place looks great. With the new configuration the restaurant looks more spacious. The staff was fast and attentive. They have a bar that seems to have so many different types of liquor and beer. The food is very good too, it's your basic Colombian food. I downed it with a ice cold can of Colombiano soda. Delicious.

I ordered some pork yesterday and the lady who take the order asked me How I want the pork??? This a is joke or she is dumb? If the "chef " is cooking pork medium well or rare . This place should fired him immediately. There not such a thing the pork should be cooked that way has to be well done!!!

Very good food. Awesome vibe. I went on a Saturday night and it was packed. So packed that they ran out of rice and my girlfriend had to wait for it and her chicken ended up getting cold that she ended up taking it home. The waitress really didn't care about that either but w.e Would give it another try for sure

It was just okay, food was mediocre. The beans didnt taste like authentic pinto beans. I was disappointed because we got there at 1:50 couldn't order from the breakfast menu and they had just ran out of the hen soup which was the only reason I went there. Meat was tender, fries and rice were fluffy.

Food is okay, steak is seasoned well the burger is great and a little unique having the pineapple slice (not like pineapple pizza) the short rib is burned, the fried chicken was a little pink on the inside but overall seasoning was good.

When they're busy, expect really slow service. The food is great though.

We told the waitress about the meat and got "Well I told them medium". And when we asked about adding things to our order it was "No, we can't do that!". Normally go here and it's good, but unfortunately this time I was Majorly DISSAPOINTED with the service I received earlier today. Melisa, the waitress was horrible in attending our table, never really asked or cared for what we wanted. There were 4 of us and it wasn't too busy, but she managed to dissappear for long periods of time, never came to ask if my father wanted a drink or not. Never had such a bad waitress before ever! The food was burnt and half as good as it normally is as well as half the portion I normally get for the price I payed. Everything is overpriced, including the water/basic additions like avocado on the side or even just lemon.

Im a regular At this restaurant, ( mostly by delivery) today i ordered the roasted chicken with beans and rice with ripe plantains. The chicken was unrecognisable, it was so stale and old, that it dried up completely, the inside looked like dried sponge. I am beyond disappointed, i did call and let them know how i felt and what the chicken looked like, offered to take a picture and sent it. Yuck.. eweee .. these were the thoughts and emotions that ran through me today, for that i give them 1 star, and only because in the past the food was really good. Disgusted ex customer ..

First time they delivered half of a bandeja paisa. Second time they denied me service because it was "slow" and they are closing one hour earlier. And Third and last time I waited for one hour for one appetizer they said would take 20 minutes. Rude staff didn't even apologize for the wait or had any manners whatsoever. As a Colombian restaurant manager this is shameful.

Didn’t let my friend and I come inside to watch the Colombia vs Argentina game because they were apparently “closed”, yet it was only passed half time and the restaurant was had people inside already watching. All we wanted were 2 beers. This was literally at 10pm when they claim to be open until 11pm. First time there and definitely won’t be coming back.

So you pay way more than for what you order and don't get what you order either. (20 $ for 5 schrimps). Then when you call the restaurant to complain about it, they just say they don't work with the people who made the menu ????? And if you want what you order, you have to pay full price AGAIN! In one word: this business is a scam!

Complete Jerks! The menu online has one price and when I ordered on the phone they told me my order was going to be twice as much. Then I was told minimum to deliver is $10 but I was informed for my food to be delivered I had to order $15 worth or more because they were delivering to my job I'm only 5 blocks away from them and in the same zip code. Disgusting way to carry business.

This place is horrible.....I only went there twice and only because the second time I didn't know I picked this place through Google search so since I drove 20 minutes I just stayed. Both times I bought chicharron to go, both times they didn't want to give me any sauce, didn't want to give me any plates, no forks, no salt when I asked, they charged me $1 dollar for a small size aluminum plate, they usually cost a few cents and their chicharron wasn't good either. I wonder if they charge you for a fork they give you to eat with, perhaps they charge you separate for a plate they bring the food and for salt and pepper.

Good food. But Terrible service . Careless and what bother the most it's that once your order is taken the forget about the table. No busboys , literally you have to get up your table and look for you waitress. Dissatisfied .

I went to this restaurant because my mom recently came across it. I've lived in the area for two years and never heard of it so I figured, let's give it a try. We ordered two steak combos and specified we wanted them well done. The combo includes rice, beans, sweet plantains, and a side salad. The orders arrived to our table less than fifteen minutes after we ordered. When I tried cutting the steak the knife was getting stuck and chewing on it was an even harder task. I finally couldn't take any longer so I called the waitress over to take the plate away and show the cook the redness inside the steak and how hard it was to cut. I asked her to switch the steak to grilled chicken instead. The rice and beans were barely warm and did not have a fresh taste. Moments later a completely different waitress comes to our table to tell me I can't supplement the steak for grilled chicken. She did offer to have the steak cooked better but I declined. My mom, on the other hand accepted the offer and when they returned with the plate, I asked for the bill. There is no way I'm going to pay my hard earned money for something that tastes terrible and can potentially make me sick. I have never been and shouldn't be forced to eat something that they messed up on to begin with. This place needs an unprecedented inspection, new cook, and much needed customer service training. This happened today around 7:30pm. If you want to avoid getting sick, being disappointed, or dissatisfied, make sure to dine elsewhere.

I'm not Colombian, my country has the best gastronomy in South America and everywhere else but i love also Colombia soups. The service is really poor. It took a long time before we got our order but it wasn't the worse. When my daughter asked for extra plate, there was a ROACH walking in the plate. I informed the waiter but she didn't apologize just brought another plate. When I spoke to the owner she refised to accept it & did nothing. They gave us the bill like nothing happened but we didn't finish the meal because we were disgusted. I honestly would NOT recommend it or go back there instead file a complaint.

It used to be my "to go" place for months. Good dishes and good flavor. My family and I came for some brunch. The server was rude. It was the typical case of the customer being wrong..! She did not go far and beyond for the customer. How dare this lady to ask me " how much tip are you leaving me"??!! Are you serious?? Anyways...., i wont be going back again. FYI..please pay with cash, otherwise they will demand a tip which they do not deserve..

i placed an order through the phone, once i got there, they told me its $40 bc i ordered fish but i said no bc i didnt ordered much, only one small meal. Never even mentioned fish. When i told them i never ordered that, only one meal, the waitress rolled her eyes and had an attitude about it. Prices on the menu here is also different, higher i’d say. I have been a loyal customer of this restaurant for about 6 years, always buying their beans. However, after my last experience, I will no longer return. I purchased two containers of beans for my dinner and brought some to work for my lunch. To my disgust, I found a fly in the beans. This is absolutely unacceptable and incredibly disgusting.

Their seafood is not fresh, food combinations not pleasant, drinks pleasing to the eye not to the taste, vegetables not fresh to the naked eye you can see that they are cut from days, the customer service is not coordinated.

The food is decent but thier service is terrible. I've been to this place a handful of times and I've never had a problem but for some reason I must have looked like a scammer or some type of lowlife because when I tried to pay my bill the waitress asked me for my ID. After the waitress swiped my card their system asked me for my pin. How would I know the pin number if this wasn't in fact my card. I had food here today and let me give you guys my honest review. The empanadas had absolutely no flavor, what a shame. The lentil soup was just hot water and lentils. The people did not even put any salt in the soup, embarrassing. The porkchop was unseasoned and bland. I can see why the restaurant was empty. The worst part of this whole meal was not even the food. I have had bad food before, and not left bad reviews. I have to leave a bad review because not only was the food bad ,but they charged me 7$ for a small sugary blackberry juice. This was not a good meal or experience. Over priced and bland! I do not recommend.

Order To Go and my bill was $150 plus and their policy is 1 sauce per plate it’s ridiculous the owner and they are $1 per sauce. I guess the owner really is money hungry. Each sauce is about 2 grams of sauce.
