Opinions de Country Kitchen Joshua Tree
We were staying the night and looking for breakfast. Grok pointed us to JT Country Kitchen and good thing, the place is awesome. We arrived before opening and patiently waited while the very friendly staff completed the opening process. Food was excellent as well as the service! We sat outside in the enclosed patio which was very nice. Portions are huge, upgraded to a chocolate chip pancake and took it to go. Highly recommended!
We loved the food and service at Country Kitchen. We ate outside in the courtyard. It was perfect weather and a very nice place to eat. I had an egg, bacon, tomato sandwich on sourdough bread. It was wonderful and came with country potatoes. My husband had an omelette and toast. Everything was great. Our server was very good and we both took food back to our condo for later. I highly recommend it as a meal before you visit Joshua Tree National Park
First of all, shout out to our server Leeroy for being an absolute vibe. -The LA girls This place was DELICIOUS. We did have to wait about an hour to get seated, but it was 100% worth it. Our group of 7 all loved our food. The portions are huge — definitely big enough to share between two people if you’re not super hungry. Do yourself a favor and GET THE PANCAKES. They were buttery, soft, and so incredibly good. I can’t wait to come back next time I’m in Joshua Tree!
this place is absolutely awesome! we came here twice in two days lol and both times the food and service were wonderful! the eggs are perfect, the pancake absolutely deserves to be famous, hashbrowns are crispy and fab, and the vibe was so cute dessert wonderful coziness! reccomend to anybody visiting! also hunter and leroy were awesome shoutout goats
Generous portions! Pancakes were okay but the breakfast burrito was hands down the best item our table had! Service was excellent. Refilld came often.. we never had ask for more coffee or water. Mom and Pop vibe that has tourists and locals coming back for more!
We had a bad experience La Copine nearby and left to eat here instead. It was a breath of fresh air! The hostess was very friendly and explained that it'd be about a 30-45 minute wait, that there was a waiting area and a bar in the back. She recommended we stick around so we didn't get skipped on the waitlist and said the wait might be faster if others didn't show. She had a very welcoming approach with not only us but others waiting in line. We went to the back to grab a drink at the bar. We got the mango mimosa and a michelada. The bartender was kind and quick! I appreciated the generous ratio of champagne to mango. We sat with our drinks and waited. The hostess stopped by a few times to check in on other parties and us waiting, letting us know who would be next and about how much longer it'd be. When we were sat at a table our waitress Marla checked in and got our drinks started while we looked at the menu. Marla checked in on js again when we were ready to order, very warm with us the whole time. We both opted to get the Deuces Wild. My partner got the chocolate chip pancakes with eggs, sausage, and hash browns. I got the cinnamon swirl french toast with eggs, bacon, and hash browns. The portions were pretty generous! We wound up taking to-go most of the leftover pancakes and french toast. We had a lovely brunch here. Everyone we interacted with was so kind and hospitable, 10/10 would recommend!
Very reliable spot for all-day breakfast and lunch. Great place to fuel up before heading to the park. Reasonable prices relative to the high cost of everything these days. Everything on the menu is a winner. Friendly service.
The food was delicious and the prices are very reasonable! The biscuits and gravy, pancakes, tomato bisque, and chili were scrumptious. If we are ever near here again, we definitely stop and eat.
Went here while we were staying in joshua Tree for our football draft. This is a fantastic place for breakfast, and it seems as if many people are aware. We had a few different items and it was all good. I personally had the biscuits & gravy, and it hit home! I would def get it again. The breakfast tacos looked great and a little less food for those who don’t want a ton of food. It’s worthy for locals or travelers.
We had a big family gathering and this was my first time trying them. I had the country fried chicken and it was delicious. Everyone was friendly and happy, despite them being very busy. They're a very popular location so a wait is pretty common. I'll definitely visit again, hopefully on a less busy day.
First time visiting. I really wanted some steak and eggs & boyyy this restaurant delivered. No wonder why the chef Anthony Bodain visited back in 2011!! I ordered some medium rare steak, crispy, hashbrowns, egg whites, side of corn tortillas, and pear mimosas. The meal really hit the spot and I wished I’d came sooner to visit. It’s a gem in the desert and I highly highly recommend!
Enjoyed a delicious brunch here on a Saturday morning. They have a shaded waiting area with water and you can order drinks while you wait for a table. So pleased to have a couple of vegan options, which can be quite rare in a diner. The Vegan special with soyrizo was delicious, and so were the mimosas with fresh OJ. The staff were friendly and offered great suggestions for our meal. My partner got the pancakes and said they were fluffy and delicious. A great spot!
The food at this diner was solid—classic comfort dishes done right. I really enjoyed the breakfast burrito and the chicken/potatoes, both were flavorful and satisfying. However, the wait time for the food was extra long, which was a bit frustrating. Great spot if you’re not in a rush!!
Nice little place on 29 Palms Hwy for breakfast. Patio is covered and shaded. Very friendly and comfortable. Country fried steak and eggs were excellent with the hashbrowns being crispy the way I like them. The sausage gravy may be the tastiest I’ve had. The orange juice is fresh squeezed!
This is HANDS DOWN, one of the BEST breakfast diners I’ve ever experienced - the food was AMAZING. The French toast with cinnamon swirl is to DIE for with black coffee, and their steak and eggs are cooked to perfection alongside their freshly squeezed orange juice. Their service is very warm, welcoming and consistent. Kudos to the entire staff and our compliments to the chef(s)! We will ALWAYS make sure to stop by when in the area. Restrooms are clean, food is delicious and the ambiance is great - they even have outdoor seating too.
Small diner with excellent food! We went 9 am Friday, busy and had to wait a few for a table, but it was worth it! Service was friendly and efficient - greeting customers, communicating well and seating people quickly. Food was delicious! Special scrambler, burrito and French toast all good!
Decent food at reasonable prices. Very friendly service. I really enjoyed my sausage gravy and biscuits. The biscuit was decently moist by itself, combined with the gravy, it was delicious. Blueberry pancake had plenty of fresh fruit in it and the banana pancake was very good as well. My overeasy eggs were perfectly done. Sandwiches are okay, but not special.
Had a great experience at JT Country Kitchen! The place was packed when we arrived, so we had to wait about 20 minutes for a table, but it was well worth it. Once seated, service was efficient—our order arrived in about 15 minutes, which was impressive given how busy they were. The steak was perfect, cooked just right and full of flavor. Everything we ordered was well-prepared, and the portions were satisfying. Definitely a great spot for a hearty meal. If you're planning to visit, be prepared for a bit of a wait, but rest assured, the food and service make up for it!
It’s definitely a long wait with limited communication. It appeared they were understaffed but the lack of communication made it frustrating. We had to ask possible manager/hostess for refills on our drinks. Our waitress brought our drinks and took our order. We did not speak to her again until she informed us the kitchen was backed up and our food s next. We were party of four. They brought my wife’s food out and the three of us waited nearly 5 minutes until the rest of our food came out. The food was good and the outdoor/indoor ambiance was nice. The waitress could have easily communicated that they were backed up and we would not have to wonder, guess or assume. If in town stop by but understand you will wait to get in and if they’re kitchen is short staff you will wait for your food. Look at the BLT sandwich, I’ve seen more bacon on a BLT. Photos below
Had a great time with a big group at breakfast. We loved the country diner atmosphere and service. And I was delightfully surprised that the food was solid! Also, great value for cost, which is tough to find in touristy areas. I got the prime steak and eggs, and added a $5 1/2 order of biscuits and gravy. Everything was great and steak was cooked well-seasoned and to the medium rare I’d requested. Only nitpicks were that they do not have high chairs for young kids and the food wait took around 25 minutes. I’d still visit again in a heartbeat for a great breakfast.
