Opinions de Jelly Donut Yucca Valley
Picked up some Apple Fritters for mom. They are her favorite. Staff picked out fruity ones for mom. Mom was thrilled!
Fast and friendly customer service. Donuts are super soft and sweet. I tend to buy a couple extra so I have them for another breakfast or dessert. The donut holes are probably my favorites, they have the perfect amount of sweetness to go with my coffee.
This is such a cute Yucca Valley gem. The donuts taste delicious and I got great customer service! I recommend coming here if you’re craving a donut.
Chocolate twist and donut holes were solid. Maple Crueller, Old fashion, and Sprinkled cake donuts were all top notch.
I was just thinking, as Americans we love Donuts! Cops love Donuts! I even had a pet raccoon that was crazy over Strawberry Jelly Donuts. "Doe fried in be lard". Go figure. But in my 40 years as a desert dweller The Jelly Donut puts out a variety of fresh warm and consistently delishous Donuts any day I want one. So whenever you want you're 🍩 Donut Fix, go see em!
Really, one of the better Jelly Donuts I've had. Being from the city, I'm use to cheap dollar donuts at random shops, but these donuts are made caringly. The women behind the register was very kind and helpful in recommending me a good jelly donut. If you're in Twentynine Palms definitely give this place a try!
If you've read my other donut reviews, you'll know it's actually quite rare to find a good donut spot, most popular donut spots are incredibly disappointing, specialty donuts are becoming increasingly expensive and yeast donuts especially are incredibly easy to be messed up. This donut shop exceeds expectations on each level This place delivers some of the best yeast risen donuts I've ever eaten outside of Krispy Kreme. This was an exceptional find given the low-key vibe of the spot, its proximity to a lovely national park, the amazing price points and relatively broad selection. Additionally, jelly donut sticks the landing on one of the hardest donuts to do well, the cream filled, and executes it perfectly. When visiting the Joshua tree national park area, I recommend you prioritize visiting Jelly Donut as much as you would Skull Rock or the Cholla Cactus Patch
The pho and hand-made dumplings are the BEST we've ever had (and we're picky about Asian food). Our family wishes that we lived in Joshua Tree just to be able to eat at Jelly Donut regularly. The owner was very friendly. Go check it out! And relish in knowing that our out-of-state family is very jealous that you are eating there!
Absolutely amazing and friendly staff. Super sweet and helped my son pick a donut. They have a great selection of donuts and an amazing family atmosphere
I've lived in Yucca for 16 years, and Jelly Donut was a place my mom always took us too, and now I'm all grown up and get to go with my husband. Everything is always fresh and delicious!
Got there about 20 min before closing. No jelly donuts left, but the maple cake was excellent!
Yucca Valley's local donut shop. Its been here forever. The donuts are always amazing and fresh out of the oven. The chocolate bars are the best! Yucca just wouldn't be the same without it.
Awesome place! We walked in after a full day at Joshua Tree and barely made the closing time. We got a few donuts from the incredibly generous people behind the counter (if that's the owner, THANK YOU!). Great donuts and will 100% stop by again for a fresh batch next time!
Such a SoCal staple right in JT! Love the coffee and old fashion donut!
What a great way to start your day. Sunday morning Donuts and Coffee. The employee are very quick and hustling.. the Donuts were delicious.. came in for 1 Donut and a coffe. ended up getting 3 and 2 coffees because they looked and were delicious.
This beautiful woman works so hard and is so efficient with such a positive attitude everyday kudos to her. I try to make it known every time I come in how fantastic she is. This place has great donuts and the ham and cheese croissant is to die for reminds me of my youth. If you see this Keep up the good work you are amazing. I also come here for the Thai tea my little happy treat thank you very much.
One of the best apple fritters around. Old school donut shop with a nice variety of options
Hoping to pass by a donut shop, this was heaven on earth! Had a original raised with glaze and a chocalate bar. The raised doughnut was exceptionally light and fluffy. The yeast dough has a perfect, weightless consistency that melts in the mouth, with that pleasant, light "chewy" bite you expect from a top-tier doughnut. The chocolate glaze on the bar was generous, thick, and tastes like real, rich chocolate. The sweetness perfectly balanced with the subtle, fresh flavor of the dough, ensuring it's never too sweet. An absolutely delicious treat. The combination of the sublime, airy texture and the deep chocolate profile makes this an irresistible, classic doughnut. A 10/10 recommendation. Forgot to take a picture, ate them immediately.
WOW...thats what my taste buds were sayin when I bit into the poppin crisp glaze on the freshly made jelly and glaze donuts I got at the Yucca Valley's favorite donut shop-"The Jelly Donut"! (They also have one in nearby 29 Palms-home of the United States Marine Corp., desert operations group! 🇺🇸) All their donuts, croissants and pastries are made rite on the premises and along with great donuts and pastries you can get great hot and cold drinks as well! The nice lady who runs the shop is friendly and very helpful ! So if you are on your way in to Joshua Tree National Park,Yucca Valley or 29 Palms,MCAS and beyond, you need to stop in and grab a hot cup O'Joe and a fresh and delicious "Jelly Donut" donut! . . . . #thejellydonut #Ilovedonuts #joshuatreenps #joshuatree #usmc #usmarines #29palms #waynesalvatti #twentyninepalms #ilovejoshuatree #freshdonuts #coffee #croissants #californiadreamin #jellydonutyuccavalley #seetheusa#californiadreaming #visityuccavalley #yuccavalleypd #sbcsheriffs #sheriffs #marinecorp #oohrah #semperfi #greatdonuts
Thoroughly sad I do not have pictures of the donuts we ordered but it was for good reason. Those frickin donuts were OUT OF THIS WORKD GOOD. So soft and perfectly glazed. I mean when I bit into it, it melted in my mouth. Give the outside I had low expectations but now looking back at it, it had perfect charm. You have to pay cash for anything under 10 bucks. Thought the attendant wasn’t super chatty I didn’t mind it, went with the entire aesthetic. If you’re a sweets person, do not leave Joshua Tree without trying these donuts. Donuts were so good I finished mine in 15seconds in the car. I couldn’t wait for the coffee like I originally planned.
These donuts are top notch! The employee working was SO fast at getting people in and out. If you like savory things, their ham and cheese croissant is a MUST! But seriously, my husband isn’t a big donut person but he loved these.
The semi (?) famous Jelly Donut in town right off the 62HWY. They had true to name, jelly donuts. We bought a Bavarian creme and a super tasty blueberry sugar. The counter lady was very nice and let my friend use the tiny unisex restroom they had. A nice welcome to the area. It's not rocket science, they have donuts here. Did not try the coffee but was not opposed. Was impressed they had customers and a selection in the afternoon.
So great! Their cake donuts are perfect. Low key place with delicious donuts- just like it should be!
So effing good!!!!!!! Donuts melt in your mouth. Place has heavy foot traffic for its DONUTS this place is WAY better than Krispy Kreme and Dunkn Donutt. Very inexpensive for a gourmet bite 🍩

Who doesn't love donuts!? The donuts here are made daily and they're always delicious. Be sure to try their Thai iced tea.
It opens up at 5 am so you can stop by and get a quick snack donut 🍩 and ham sandwich on the way to work 😋 Coffee and hot chocolate 🫕 Also has seating inside. Decent prices. Easy access off hwy 62. With plenty of parking 🅿️ The donut shop and parking lot are handicap friendly. Handicapped parking right in front.
Cute local donut shop! The blueberry jelly donut was light, fluffy, and fresh. Loved the maple bar too—great flavor without being too sweet. Prices are very reasonable
Stopped in because we were craving donuts, ended up having the best apple fritter we’ve ever tasted. This place may look unassuming, but the quality speaks for itself. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. A hidden gem that truly stands out!
Donuts were very fresh even tho it was almost noon.
Tried a classic glazed donut which I am particular about. Even though I did not show up until noon, the donut was surprisingly good! They make their own dough. Also tried the pho and had a different spin on a burger with fries that the chef cooked and it was good! Definitely recommend stopping in, go early for the best donut selection!
They have great donuts if you can afford them 2.50 ea is just to much in my opinion .but they aren't any higher then the rest of the country ,I suppose.
The best donuts 🍩 ever!!! Good coffee too! Good vibes 😎
On our way to Laughlin, hoping to find a donut shop. Wow Google did not disappoint. JELLY donut did not disappoint. Had a chocolate twist, so soft and sweet flavor, should have gotten 2. We also had an apple fritter, warm and fluffy not overwhelming fresh and perfect. All the ingredients on point. Recommending 10/10. This will be our go to spot from now on.

Great doughnuts. Not the best selection but what they have is good stuff. The neighborhood is not the best. Friendly owners and workers.
Donuts are good and fresh. This place has been around forever, the quality has not dropped at all since the last time I was here, over 3 years ago. Variety could be increased but I could also go earlier in the morning to have a better choice, but I'm just not waking up earlier just cause I have a sweet tooth. Its worth going here if your early morning sweet tooth kicks in.
Amazing local donut chain that is opened daily. Serves fresh donuts made throughout the day, and sells a dozen day old donuts for 6 dollars. The best cinnamon sugar twist. Lastly, it is a bit more then your grocery store donuts but the quality is well worth the investment.
Who doesn’t love donuts after a taco lunch? There’s a great sign outside, and we just had to try their doughnuts and coffee, and they didn’t disappoint. Just walking in, the sweet smell promises good yummy things ahead! The young woman behind the counter was very welcoming and our coffee was great and the donuts delicious. Parking right outside. Few tables inside for eating in. Accessible.
Nice little place with a modest selection. I really wanted an apple fritter but they didn't have any. Great service and perfect for a quick break when you must cross the Mojave Desert.

It's low key. A bit pricey staff family operated. Opens very early
The Jelly Donut is ok for your morning stop for a donut & hot coffee. However, it's not like it was in the 80's & 90's.
Still the best donuts in town But far too expensive for us anymore. My husband usually stops for a box of day Olds and that is just about all we buy from them anymore and lately they haven't even put any out so it's been a while since we have been by for some donuts. If they were to lower their prices a little and put more day olds out (that's what we call the dozen donut boxes that have the 1 day old donuts that were left over sitting on their counter) then we would surely be there more often cuz even the day old donuts left over are delicious and definitely worth what they charge for them.
The donuts were good and the lady was nice. I was just more than a little disappointed in the limited selection at 10 am. They are supposed to close in the afternoon but for a shop that faces the highway they were already running out of donuts in the morning. They obviously do not carry enough product for the demand on a busy weekend.

They never have plain cake donuts! I loved those for years & they say they only make them on the weekends & I went there on a Sunday morning & still no plain cake donuts available 🤔🤔🤔🤔 so I will go to Yucca & get my donuts, even though its 20 miles farther.
I normally don’t have issues with jelly donut. I tried to order ice coffee I had to wait for everyone else to order. Then when I finally got my coffee it tasted really old and gross. I’ve been sick all morning and my stomach will not stop hurting. The cashier was very rude about everything. Disappointed
They never have Apple Fritters when I visit.
They charge .75 if your purchase is below $10 and you use a debit card plus there were hardly any donuts left on a Sunday morning at 930 am. As well. They aren’t very good!
This place used to be better but the quality has gone way down. The owner/staff are rude & argumentative. They don’t actually remember to put the donuts you pick out in your box or bag. Happened the last two times I was there. Their menu is impossible to decipher. Needless to say, I won’t be going back.
I have been going to Jelly donut for years on occasion. And last weekend I bought 3 of their ham and cheese croissants. 2 of them had no ham or cheese in them. $5.50/ea. I returned this morning and wanted another croissant plus some other donuts. I mentioned that 2 of my croissants from the week before had no ham or cheese inside. All she said was “sorry”. And continued to ring me up for my current order. I was expecting at least some type of compensation even a buck off of my current order would have shown that she cared. Instead she started shouting out loud to all in her shop, “you just want a discount” , “get out”. I thought, “wow”. Obviously, this was an owner in distress. I had never seen her in the shop before, but I know now that if she doesn’t care about keeping a customer happy, then why would she care about how the donuts or croissants are being made or what is inside them. Be very careful when eating here as I will never return. This person has just cut ties with a local patron.
I absolutely loathe leaving bad reviews unless a place 1000% deserves it! I was driving thru the area and decided to grab a box of donuts and stopped here. 1st the lady was extreemly rude but I let it slide. 2nd I opened the box and several of the donuts weren't what I asked for and again I let it slide because I don't live out there so I wasnt worried about it happening again. But, here's the kicker... Im on the road about 45 minutes away and grab a donut to snack on and I take a bite and notice I didnt close the box all the way so I went to close it and saw something in the box, I grabbed it to see what it was and it was a purple of rat poop! I was so grossed out i started gagging and had to pull over! When I was gagging I dropped the piece of rat poop and was looking for it everywhere so I could take a picture to go back and show them but I couldn't find it. I am mortally disgusted and will NEVER EAT THERE AGAIN AND I WANT TO MAKE SURE PEOPLE KNOW TO BEWARE OF THIS PLACE AND THEIR FURRY FRIENDS!!!
