Always a winning staff and menu. We had the special Thanksgiving dinner and everything was high end, perfectly seasoned. I always thought why no condiments on the table, none needed. They offered turkey, dressing, sweet potatoes, and that wonderful mashed potatoes and gravy among everyday normal meat fare. Don’t miss the pineapple and try all kinds of meats. Believe me you will find a favorite. You can ask for small tastes. If you have time for dessert, try the coffee creme brulee. This is my favorite special occasion spot.

From beginning to end a most memorable experience. Highly attentive wait staff. A wide variety of meats coming right to your table for you to savor and enjoy. A carnivores dream and pretty guarantee walking out with meat sweats if you over do it. There is a salad bar with other side items to compliment your meal. Highly recommend the coffee crème brulee. Special occasion or a quiet night out, you won’t be disappointed

Yes, this establishment is pricey, but it's a fabulous everyone must experience at least once. We have been here many times and I can't believe I have never reviewed. There are so many meats to choose from and the cold and hot bars are wonderful. Do try the cold asparagus and their famous mashed potatoes. Service here is top notch. Splurge......

Came here for my husband's birthday. Food was great, they read the notes from the reservation ahead of time and made it a special experience. Thank you Courtney!

Perhaps my last KC review before moving, and I want to make it a good one. The big thing to know is that unlimited prime cuts of meat is not cheap, with $50 a person. However, the food here is amazing and so is the service. I wouldn't recommend it for a first date, but it would be great for an anniversary of bachelor party.

We love everything about this place. Such a great experience trying lots of different meats with a decent salad bar. The flavors are amazing and cooked perfectly. Low light setting with friendly staff. All you can eat in a very elegant serving presentation. They give you small tongs to pull your meat away as they cut it in front of you. Reservations online is the way to go.

Our first time back in 3 years to the day. For the last 11 years This has always been our go to place for anniversaries, birthdays, and graduations. They are back to the original ways of Em Chamas. The food was amazing, the staff were so friendly and it was warm and inviting. The dessert was so good. She got the tres leche cake and I got the passion fruit. The grilled pineapple is a must have, like a piece of candy for every bit. The house special meat is my favorite and they always seem to have the perfect medium cooked for me. In the 3 year absence because of the pandemic, and with the changes Em Chamas was doing with the meat service, we have gone to other restaurants for our events but they always felt off. We said last night at dinner for a birthday it felt like “home”. We’ve missed Em Chamas of old and are so happy to be able to come back for many more events.

We went to Em Chamas for a date for Valentine's Day and had no idea what it was going to be like. My parents raved about eating here but even that didn't do it justice...and my review won't do it justice either! This was the most amazing experience with glorious food and excellent service that I have had in the United States. Endless meat and sides...the meat was just as rare as we asked for and the flavor was unbelievable. I loved all the sides and all the meats. No complaints...it was all delicious. The Valentine's Day dessert was also exquisite. It's pricey but I wouldn't expectal you can eat expensive cuts of meat to be affordable. We will be back for another special occasion for sure!We had the owner come by our table and we let him know how much we enjoyed it. He was friendly and gracious! Highly highly recommend this place!

The BEST service ever, we just wanted to give a huge shoutout to our server Caleb who made our kid's first "fancy dinner " at Em Chamas amazing and ESPECIALLY when my youngest accidentally knocked over 2 drinks at one time and he was so kind and quick to react but very reassuring to my son to make sure he didn't feel embarrassed or sad! We are so grateful and the boys said it was "the best dinner in the world!" ❤️

I really enjoyed the food here. I have been to Texas De Brazil and and here ranks better in my opinion. Their salad bar didn’t have many options but I didn’t mind because I didn’t go to have salad. I had a great passion fruit alcoholic beverage that wasn’t too strong and the right size. I really loved the ham and there was a type of steak or prime rib, with parmesan cheese stuffed in it that was really good. The lamb was great also. I Had chocolate cake for dessert and it was great. I will definitely go back to this restaurant.

I brought my 8year old daughter here for a special night out. We had a great time. This was our first visit and we were not disappointed. There is no lack of service and the quality of food was great. We enjoyed the variety. We were even lucky enough to have some sushi on the night we visited. I recommend this place to anyone that would like to do something special and unique.

This was me and my boyfriends first time trying a Brazilian grill and we were celebrating our 7th anniversary! We had a great time! We left full and satisfied. The staff was very kind and helpful! They repeated themselves when asked about the different meats, and kindly explained how the experience works! They had a great selection of pasta salads and sides to pair with your meat, and a great drink selection. We ordered both cheesecakes, I'd recommend the Tres leches, it was amazing. Was a bit disappointed with the mango one, the mango on top was sour, but the cheesecake underneath was rich and creamy. If you don't like eating tons of meat, this place isn't for you! But if you love meat like us, it's heavenly!!

What a memorable experience the greeters, food choices, environment, hospitality and overall experience was superb! (The authenticity to the Brazilian cultural and food is to be respected!) The attention to detail by each server was impeccable. When they give the instructions flip to yellow for meat and flip to black to stop the meat from coming; please take it literally lol! When on yellow you have so many choices coming to your table in the abundance steak, lamb, chicken and so much more. Flip to black to catch your breathe and make room for more lol!! My only recommendation would be to have a label identifying the hot dishes on the tables to prevent having to open each one to see what it inside. One it minimizes the exposure of the food to others and also helps to control the temps of the food. I look forward to eating here again. “The servers were so friendly, knowledgeable and it was a great closing to see the manager walking to each table asking the customers, “How is everything and pause to hear the feedback!” Great restaurant, great personable manager and staff!”

We've been here several times but tried the brunch service today and it was amazing! Our waiter, Spencer, was absolutely superb!!! If you haven't tried it, you need to. On weekends you will need a reservation.

Amazing place. Fast service great food The only downfall was the parking being limited due to the residential area. Ate so much we didn't have room for dessert, next time we will plan for dessert. We will be back for sure!

This was our 1st time experiencing a Brazilian style restaurant, and it didn't disappoint. There was a 45min wait to be seated(not surprising for a Saturday night with no reservation). The food and atmosphere was very good. Our server Antonio did a GREAT job. If ever back in area, I would go back AND would recommend to others.

One of our Family's favorite Rodizo Brazilian steakhouses. We have been to several, yet none quite have the flavor or atmosphere of Em Chamas. Still a family favorite

I don’t remember my servers name but she was super sweet! Me and my partner went for valentine’s day eve all the way from Minnesota. It was packed and our waitress still was very attentive and checked on us. The food was amazing. I have been to a few different Brazilian steakhouses and this one is definitely one of my top favorites. I will say the complimentary bread they give you was not the best and a 0/10 compared to other places i’ve been. But the food you actually pay for and drinks were amazing!! Definitely will be coming back.

I really enjoyed my experience here. The food was great, and the servers were absolutely phenomenal. The cold bar was well stocked with all the sides and pasta salad — I especially loved the crab salad and the bread. The unique dining experience of having servers bring different selections of meat directly to the table was really fun and made the meal feel special. I also liked that they even offer Wagyu meat for an extra charge if you want to upgrade your experience. While it was a little on the expensive side, the atmosphere and quality of the food definitely made it worth the price. We made a reservation about an hour before arriving, and even though the restaurant was packed, we were seated quickly. I definitely recommend making a reservation for a weekend evening.

We had a really great experience. Reserved a table online and got one on the Holiday weekend. Arrived to a host table that greeted us and checked us in promptly. Warm and cozy atmosphere. Tv's by the bar side and we ate on the dining side by the fireplace. Our waitress was nice asked us if we had dined with them and we hadn't. She have us the run down and we helped ourselves to the salad bar and hot sides. Everything was delicious. Best part was the never-ending meat being served. I really loved the parmeasan stuffed beef. I dont know the exact name, but it was amazing. Everything was very tasty. But that was my favorite. No pictures because it was so good, I didn't even think about my phone. Will be back for sure!

After reading the restaurant’s response, I feel even more confident sharing this review. According to management, holding a table hostage for over an hour on a busy night, seating guests late, and then emphasizing how inconvenient customers are is considered “professional hospitality.” Interesting approach. Yes, it was a busy Saturday. Yes, policies exist. But hospitality is not about repeatedly reminding guests how much of a burden they are for celebrating an important milestone. If the goal was to make a graduation dinner feel transactional, stressful, and unwelcome, that goal was absolutely met. The response reads less like an apology and more like a lecture — complete with timestamps, internal justifications, and a clear message that customer experience ranks below policy enforcement. Being seated earlier than “required” did not feel like generosity; it felt like tolerance. What’s most telling is how quickly accountability is replaced with defensiveness. Rather than acknowledging tone, communication, or guest perception, the focus is entirely on protecting policy and image. That same lack of warmth was felt in person. Unfortunately, the food didn’t help redeem the night either, which sealed the overall impression. This was supposed to be a celebration. Instead, it became an example of how policy-first service and dismissive communication can ruin an evening — no matter how busy the restaurant is or how detailed the explanation afterward may be.

Spencer did a great job never let our drinks get empty. He was very informative on the menu items . I don't like so much meat so I got the seafood trio. Fantastic. The rest of my party did get the meat parade 😂 They loved it. Everyone was very friendly. Restaurant was clean.

A great alternative to Fogo for a Brazilian steakhouse. All the meats were excellent and perfectly cooked. Many choices. The salad bar had excellent selections. My favorite being the crab salad and Brazilian stroganoff. This was our second time coming here and we will definitely be back. Our server was attentive and made sure our drinks were filled. Nice casual atmosphere. Make sure you at least try this place. You won't be disappointed!

A never ending parade of meat, in short: Perfect. Come hungry and leave happy because they will serve you as much wonderfully spiced and seasoned meat as you can possibly imagine. There is not a downside to this place, you just want the servers with the meat to stop by more often.

Went to Em Chamas Brazilian Grill With my wife and I can say with full confidence I was Templeton the rat. You know that scene in Charlotte’s Web when Templeton hits the fair, dives into the food, turkey legs, pies, sausages, popcorn, cotton candy flying everywhere, spinning in circles singing Life’s a SCHMORGASBORG! like he just unlocked the secrets of the universe? That was me. Except instead of a county fair, it was a battlefield of skewered meats.  Instead of a trash pile, it was a man holding a sword made of steak. And instead of Wilbur watching in horror, it was my wife watching me whisper, yes yes bring me the beef of destiny. And then they give you the poker chip. Like you’re in some underground meat casino. Black side No more meat. Yellow side Release the animals. I flipped that thing to yellow so fast it created a breeze. They saw that yellow chip and it was like they radioed the whole building.  Code Carnivore. Beef. Chicken. Pork. Lamb.  Things I don’t even recognize. Some creature that definitely had dreams. And then the grilled pineapple. Sweet. Hot. Juicy.  Heaven sent.  And then the ham. My God. That ham didn’t just taste good it spoke to me.  That ham had a backstory. That ham had a destiny. And somewhere in the middle of all this glory, First time trying oysters and I’m officially converted Then Em Chamas came in and absolutely ruined me with the best ribs of my life. Some meals change you as a person. This was one of them. At some point I stopped being a man and became a concept.  A roaming entity of protein and joy.  I was pointing at meats I didn’t even know the name of like,  that one and that one and the mystery one and that one again.  They’d ask, chicken, sir? I’d answer, yes, but emotionally. I left that place a happy camper My soul is full. My body is 80% beef. My heart is ham.  If Templeton had gone to a Brazilian steakhouse, the movie would’ve ended early.  He never would’ve gone back to the barn.  He’d still be there. Yellow chip up. Come one come all you won't regret it.

We went here for the first time and had a great experience. The meat was cooked perfectly and wasn’t dry. Our waitress was friendly, attentive, and made sure we always had what we needed. Overall, a delicious meal and great service. We’ll definitely be coming back when we’re in town.

We went there for a birthday and had a short wait before being seated. The location is good and it was full. The noise level isn't too bad and we could hold a conversation. The food is ok for the most part. I was expecting the different meat options to be better tasting. My favorite were the shrimp, the grilled pineapple, the mashed potatoes and the rice. Would recommend if there are no other options for you.

Went here for restaurant week. A good place to go if you’re big into meats. They had lots of different options of all you can meat, we had to tap out half way through bc we were so full. Their cold foods buffet was good, lots of pasta salad, veggies, small appetizers. Surprisingly the tomato soup was SO TASTY. The warms food buffet also good, had some pasta, roasted veg, Brazilian rice, beans, some Brazilian dishes as well.

J

Everything was wonderful minus a few missing items. We never received our bread, pallet cleansers and the Tres Leches was on the dry side. Nathan was wonderful. Ask for him you won't be disappointed.

This is definitely no Fogo de Chao but it is good. They offer a decent salad and food bar along with all the meats you could eat. I thought they were all over cooked and some were really dry. Don't get me wrong, they had really good meats as well. The service is fast to keep up with you're needs. They offer alcoholic beverages here, there is a bar area and a dining area too. I would eat here again hands down, next time I might speak up and ask for much more rare prepared for myself. Go their, check it out and enjoy the fiest. I had the privilege going there for a work event and had a blast. Please like my review, pictures, leave comments and share my reviews with others. Enjoy!

The restaurant was amazing. The only thing that was wrong was our waitress who pushed the upgraded menu too hard. Then had issues getting us drinks. The rest of the service was great.

B
Bill W

The service was pretty good, the salad and hot food bar was good. The sausages didn't have much flavor, and a couple of the meats were pretty salty this time. And there was a couple of times the waitress had to ask a second time to get the meat brought to our table. Two of the three desserts were good. The coconut flan had a weird texture and wasn't very flavorful.

What happened? I haven’t been here in years, and returned last night. What was once an upscale dining experience has become dated & more about speed than experience. No tablecloths, dated atmosphere, and operating more like a level up Golden Corral. Time to invest back in the atmosphere and experience.

M

I've eaten here many times, the choices of meat are always amazing. I am only giving this review 3 stars because of ( 1 ) very specific reason... I ate here day before yesterday , one of the main reasons I come is because of the candied plantains. Apparently they took those off of the menu and git rid of them. :(

Was really looking forward to this place. My boyfriend and I prefer fogo to this place that's for sure... We felt like it was wayyy to pricey and the people didn't come around that often with meat selections. The margarita flavor I had was delicious (peach raspberry) but not very strong at all.

My family and I have been to this restaurant many, many times for all sorts of occasions, large parties, small parties, and never had a bad experience, this time we brought my niece, her husband and daughter, and we were seated in a totally closed off area, around the corner on the other side of a wall to the main part of the restaurant. There was no ambience, View and was very bland. All the tables in the main restaurant areas have a white tablecloth, our area did not. We couldn’t see the waiter until he came around the wall to our area, there was quite a walk to the buffet , when we arrived for our reservation, the main seating area was not very full at all and was w/ many empty tables, yet we were led around the corner in a dismal area in comparison . Our party had five adults and two children, we ordered alcoholic beverages and a couple of sodas. Also there were three desserts ordered. With our combined tickets after tip we paid about $500. It was such a downer and I will definitely request to be sat in one of the main areas from now on. I don’t know that my niece and her husband will even give it another chance after last night. How embarrassing. No longer serve plantains. Our reservation was 5:45pm, Saturday , Sept 27th, 2025.

I went on Thursday (1/15) for my son’s 11th birthday. We usually go to fogo de chao for every family celebration and decided to go to em chamas, to see how it is. We both were a little disappointed. I was disappointed in the salad bar, it was literally just a salad bar. No carmelized bananas was heartbreaking as well. The service was just ok, but man it took us damn near an hour to pay and leave. My server kept ignoring our need to pay and doing other things. Overall, we will stick with fogo.

I decided while visiting from Atlanta to try this place after my family suggested they have great chimichurri. So I decided to order it to go after ordering me and my kids waited at the bar where we were told to wait. The MANAGER rudely ask me did I order something obviously 🙄 I did and then said your kids can't sit at the bar. After thinking about it and how rude she was I suggested to her maybe in the future you don't have customers come to the bar when they have children. I felt she was insensitive and dismissive. To top it off the chimichurri was MEDIOCRE. Do better lady your staff had better customer service than you. You also never know what the power of the mouth can do.

t
tamina fuimaono

The food was great. The initial service was fine. Unfortunately, the end of our dining experience left a bitter taste in my mouth. The waitress took over an hour and a half to give us CORRECT checks for our party coming back and forth just to get it wrong every time . They tried to blame it on our family saying the kids moving around to different seats was the problem. Which is insane. We were more than accommodating ,with a bunch of young kids mind you, and patient. Even after settling everything, the owner called my husband when we got home to say everything was not settled and we needed to pay up or he might have to file a complaint. After finally going through (for the hundredth time in detail) each check over the phone, he proceeded to say giving us gift certificates should make up for all of this + taking off some of our desserts or drinks . And yet the already added outrageous gratuities$ didn’t make a DENT in our overall bill…making that “generous favor” pointless. So…why would we ever go back after this experience???

D
Deborah Tapusoa

My whole family went here for dinner 21 people in total, bill not only took an hour to get correct but restaurant also tried to blame our party for moving around so they couldn’t get an accurate count when we tried multiple to tell them who was on each bill. When my cousin who had made the reservation had gotten home the restaurant called him and said EIGHT ADULTS didn’t pay or were unpaid for, when he(my cousin) went over everything it was FIVE ADULTS and THREE KIDS. So not only did they get everyone’s bill wrong multiple times but they also tried to call and have us pay more. Very disappointing and will not be coming back extremely unprofessional.

A
Arthur and Jessica Tapusoa

Very disappointed. Food was great but it took LITERALLY over an hour to get our bill right at our table. Even with management’s help. After at least four attempts to make our bill correct we still ended up paying full price + gratuity.

We won’t be coming back. My husband and I drove 35 minutes to go to this steakhouse, and we regretted making the trip. First, one of the simplest things, the rice, was all clumpy and sticky. Second, the meats were served practically raw, so if you don’t like rare meat, it won’t be worth it because you won’t have much to eat, since they don’t bring well done meat. Lastly, the cheese bread they brought was doughy and undercooked inside!! I honestly don’t know what happened there. The only good part was the service. The waiters are a 10/10!

P
Patience Nunez

We were there at 4:15pm. The bread tasted like it was baked from a frozen bag. We only got to try three or four different cuts. They charged us for a nine month old that slept most of the time. The service was poor. We were sat in a back corner and didn’t get hardly any meat. We left and ate elsewhere because we got so frustrated with the poor service. We will never got back. We used to love this place. The quality has gone down hill.

L
Lia Tapusoa

This place is a joke. We had a big group of 21 people. Everything was ok up to the point when we had to pay and it took them an hour and a half to sort our bill. It's not rocket science. The waitress came back and get everyone's information and age 4 times and keep bringing the wrong bill. After everything got sorted out and we left. They called to asked for more money. My nephew spend 45 minutes on the phone with the owner to sort things out some more. After all that was done. They got some nerve to offer discount for next time we come. We will never go back to this place. We spend more time waiting and sorting our bill than we did at dinner.

We attempted to try this restaurant for my husband’s birthday (Saturday). We made a reservation, arrived 20 minutes early only to be told that we didn’t have a reservation. My husband didn’t have the confirmation email, so we thought it was our mistake. On Monday afternoon, we reviewed a $120 charge on our credit card for missing our reservation. We called the restaurant and were told “we will get back to you.” We called the restaurant again 2 hours later since we never received our call back. When we talked to the manager, he confirmed that we did have a reservation and he “doesn’t know how they didn’t see it.” No apology for the mistake. No accountability from them. We will likely never return to this restaurant simply based on the poor experience with their staff and management.

I recently visited Em Chamas, a Brazilian steakhouse, with a party of 21 guests. The food was absolutely amazing, and the overall experience started off great. However, things took a turn during the billing process. The waitress, who seemed to be new, struggled with handling a large party and the billing process became quite complicated. What should have taken about 5-10 minutes ended up taking an hour. There were issues with the checks, and the staff had to go back and forth to the cash register multiple times. It was a frustrating experience for everyone involved. To make matters worse, after we had left, the restaurant called me to inform us about an outstanding bill for eight people. This was surprising since we had confirmed with the staff that everything was settled before leaving. After a lengthy conversation with the owner to resolve the issue, it was clear that there was a significant miscommunication on their part. Additionally, I found it odd that we were charged for refills on drinks in an all-you-can-eat setting, which should typically be included in the fixed price. While the food and initial service were fantastic, the lack of professionalism and organization at the end left a bad taste in our mouths. It’s unfortunate because this could have been a great experience, but the billing issues and follow-up made it hard to overlook. I’m hesitant to return due to this experience.
