This is a review on there fine dinning restaurant. This farm to table small restaurant is worth the price. With amazing food that is sourced with care and the service. Every course is unique and is described to you the intricacies details that went thru in making it. Defiantly an experience. Perfect for a special occasion as it is on the pricier side. Defiantly keep in it in mind anytime I’m in witchita and deciding where to go. Plus you must check out the creamery barn! I’m be visiting that everytime in near.

Went here for our 10 year anniversary and was not disappointed at all. Such a beautiful atmosphere, great service, amazing food, and delicious wines. And only a short drive out of Wichita. I'll be back for sure! Just wouldn't recommend bringing kids for dinner.

We dined there last weekend and had an amazing experience. Our waiter was excellent and all the food was amazingly crafted. We truly enjoyed this farm to table experience at Elderslie Farms and we hope to go back and try a different menu soon, what an awesome experience and loved the mushroom dish!

Went to Elderslie Farm this week for dinner. Wonderful menu and wine pairing this week. Farm fresh cheeses, produce and all lovingly prepared and each course paced perfectly. If you want fast this is not your place. Quaint and calm atmosphere. Highly recommend for a nice get away and relaxing dining experience.

A lovely little haven in Kansas. I'm not from Sedgwick, and just happened on this place by chance (I messed up some reservations on my trip and stumbled into Kansas). In any case, the grounds are beautiful and well kept, their self-made goat cheese was delicious, the charcuterie board was an eye to behold, and the ambiance was serene. This place was a gem, and I hope to be back someday! Not to mention, if you plan on proposing to your partner, this is the spot (it worked out for me and mine)!

Great ambience at a farm in the hinterlands surrounded by the goats and blackberries. Service was very attentive and friendly. Food was nicely organized with six courses spread out over three hours. Food was good but didn't amaze us. Will return Tried it again last night and it went up several notches in my opinion. Food was great with the braised beef shoulder amazing.

Breathtaking! A true escape and oasis in south central Kansas, located just north of Kechi, basicly right outside of Wichita. The farm to table dinner is exquisite and the details and service and on point making the entire experience feel like a high end resort. The food is AMAZING and if you read my other reviews I don't say that lightly. From the fresh goat cheese to sweet black berries the dinner was fabulous and although it added up to a very pricey night worth every penny. The farm itself is awesome and fantastic for families and kids to spend a morning. This is a must do for anyone in the area!

WOW!!! We were there a couple of months ago and while we loved the atmosphere, farm to table idea, and the menu format, the quality of food and wine missed the mark a bit. We just went there again and they have really delivered. The atmosphere and friendly service was still there, but the food was definitely taken to the next level. Apparently one of the owners is the chef, along with being an opera singer - want to hate her but she's just too nice. This is still a relatively new adventure for them and they are still tweaking things. Based on the improvement to date I can't wait to see where they take this. If things just stay at this level, we will still be happy regular customers! Tonight's yoder beef shoulder braised in blackberry, backwoods armory tea and red wine over herbed chèvre rice was absolutely amazing! Rich. Decadent. Tender. Memorable. Highly recommend and hope they get the support they deserve so they will always be around.

Nice family run business. Beautifully maintained blackberry plants for you to pick berries from. Outdoor dining available on the covered patio. Very comfortable even on a warm summer day.

We came briefly, to buy cheese, and will definitely be back in warmer weather, or whenever there bottle babies to "ooh" and "ahh" over! The cheese and jam we bought were just amazing!

We got a goat for a weekend! It was a lot of work, we learned a bunch, and the little guy matured so much over two days. It really was a fun experience. Good way to socialize the goats and provide education for the community.

Really unique dining experience. Each course had it's own unique flavor and they all were great!

We visited Elderslie Farm to celebrate a job promotion, and since it was my first time dining there, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I have to say, I was not disappointed. The plates run on the smaller side, so keep that in mind if you’re expecting large portions, but the flavors more than make up for it. The food is fantastic, beautifully prepared, and I really enjoy the concept of ordering a la carte. We started with the focaccia, which was out of this world. The pairing of pear and goat cheese was absolutely perfect. We also tried the market salads, which were phenomenal, and ordered the tacos to share at the table. For our main meal, we chose the chicken confit, and it was delicious. The service was superb from start to finish. The restaurant itself is beautiful, warm, and inviting, and I would absolutely return. The food feels upscale, yet the prices are surprisingly reasonable. Compared to similar restaurants in larger cities, this was an affordable and truly memorable meal. Highly recommend!

Our favorite in Wichita! We try to stop whenever we’re in town. Whether it’s a brunch/lunch on the Bramble Cafe patio or a fine dining experience, Elderslie never disappoints. Blackberry picking in the summer is super fun too. So happy we stumbled upon this years ago!

WOW! This place has been on my list for a long time now, and this year I chose to come here to celebrate my 28th birthday. I’m SO GLAD! I’ve never been anywhere like Elderslie, it’s gorgeous. The farm itself is on beautiful land that’s filled with trees and meadows. The restaurant is an old farm house with the restaurant on the first floor, it’s beautifully decorated and modernized, with romantic lighting and beautiful furniture, plenty of windows, and it’s super cozy! It provided the perfect atmosphere. The food was AMAZING! I’m a huge foodie and when I say this place is 5 stars, I mean it. For appetizers we ordered the sourdough, cherry focaccia, and bone marrow. Yummy! Our meals were the pot pie, the short rib, pork tacos, and shrimp pasta. We had the sweet cream gelato and coffee gelato for dessert. Everything was so fresh and you could tell it was made by people who are passionate about their craft. From the moment we entered everyone was so friendly! It had been raining and the hostesses offered us towels so we could dry ourselves off! On our way to the table every staff member we passed welcomed us and said hello. Our server was named Regan (I hope I spelled that right) and she was so sweet, friendly, and well informed on the menu and the history of the farm. She made our experience so special and did an amazing job!!! The cherry on top is they have a little shop that’s OPEN 24/7 365 where they sell cheeses, honey, olive oil, pastries, gelato, and much more!!! How cool is that?! I was tempted to drive back out in the middle of the night for a new flavor of gelato! I would recommend Elderslie Farm to anyone who wants an intimate but exciting dining experience. I can’t wait to tell everyone I know about it!

Chef Katharine and her team's commitment to local sourcing, creating exquisite farm-to-table cuisine, and showcasing the best of the best from Kansas farmers, growers, and makers made for a one-of-a-kind dining experience that my friends and I cannot stop raving about! We enjoyed the Winter Chef's Tasting Menu including dishes like melt-in-your-mouth French onion raviolini, succulent barramundi (my fave!), warm saffron bread with whipped almond flavored butter (is there anything better than freshly baked bread?!), and more. Every dish delighted my friends and I, and we were blown away the entire time. The cozy and inviting atmosphere and our server, Emma's, impeccable service was the icing on the cake. We cannot wait to visit again in the spring or summer to see the blackberry farm, linger on the patio with fruity cocktail, and enjoy the latest tasting menu! No matter the season, an experience at Elderslie Farm is sure to surprise and delight!

If you are looking for something that is unlike anything else in Wichita or surrounding, this is it! I was blown away! Everything from the atmosphere, presentation, quality, understanding of genuine hospitality, the drinks, location! If it wasn’t made on Elderslie Farms it was sourced from another local farm, Haysville, Clearwater etc.. If you haven’t been to Elderslie, make a reservation and GO! Truly is next level Dining. I was smiling from ear to ear. Can’t wait to go back and wish I’d been sooner! 10/10

Top notch dining! If you're looking to experience something better than anything else around, go here. An amazing culinary experience has the best 5-course dinner in the midwest. The chef here is truly a master. The flavor, texture, and appearance of everything were on point.

Bramble Cafe...delicious Reverie Coffee and a blackberry lemon scone. Delightful service. The outdoor seating area is so inviting, beautifully landscaped and comfy. The dining room for dinner is quite chic and cozy. I can't wait to wine and dine myself in this special place.

Great tasting food! It is a unique setting with a lot of local food. Make sure to reserve a table before you go. It may or may not be expensive ($70 a person at the time of this review {May 2019}) depending on what you are used to. The menu is already planned out so you eat the courses they prepare rather than ordering specific dishes. They do give you quite a bit of time to eat between courses so make sure to go with someone you enjoy being with and want to talk to! :)

My wife and I brought my dad here for Father’s Day dinner - the experience was fantastic across the board and we will 200% be back. The food- Without exaggeration probably one of the best meals I’ve had in the entire region. The menu is seasonal and is curated by an extremely talented chef. Her team knows what they’re doing and it really, really shows in everything they make. The atmosphere- Think mountain cabin in the woods - 150 years ago. Vibes are impeccable, honestly couldn’t believe I was a few minutes from the chaos of Wichita. Definitely upscale and unique; really, really cool. Service- I will say it wasn’t terribly busy, but even so, our server was awesome. Attentive, helpful, didn’t rush us, made us feel welcome; and communicated clearly about every aspect of our experience. The value- Impossibly reasonable. I don’t know how they even turn a profit charging what they do - For upscale, top tier dishes, crafted by an actual chef who clearly cares about what they’re doing, I don’t know of another place that even comes close. Yes, there’s a 20% gratuity built in - just as there should be for a hard working staff that shows dedication to their work. If that’s what’s holding you back, I don’t know what to tell you. Support a local business and dine at Elderslie. You won’t regret it.

This is an absolutely beautiful dining experience, perhaps the finest in the Wichita area. The tasting menu was artistically curated- fresh, local, truly inspirational. It wasn't just tasty, it was soulful and artistic. How often can you go to a restaurant with such balance, precision, harmony, and creativity? The quality of the foot is top notch, in a comfortable, un-imposing atmosphere. For those who love food, this is an absolute must!!

L

We dined here and had the chef’s tasting menu. There was 6 of us and we had a great experience. The food was fantastic and each course was described nicely and the presentation was great. Our servers were attentive but also not too much. Drinks were good. They timed the meal nicely. We love long dinners together and this was an almost 4 hour dinner and the servers never seemed annoyed by us taking our time. We made sure to add extra gratuity to show appreciation. This is a high-end dining experience and we will definitely come back.

10/10 experience for me!! Very cozy restaurant, food was delicious and you could actually taste the freshness of the ingredients. The appetizer focaccia was AMAZING! If you’re looking for a nice date night spot, I recommend this restaurant 👍

The Bramble Cafe is the perfect addition to Elderslie Farms! We stopped in for brunch at the cafe on a Sunday after church and sat in the shade of the trees. The avocado on sour dough toast is delish…and the blackberry cheesecake-to die for!

We had a wonderful dinner here. The flavors of each course are carefully crafted and the service is always very good. Our highlights this time were the mushroom skewer, the ravioli and the sweet potato ice cream with homemade marshmallows. Of course the loin was cooked perfect and full of flavor. Don’t expect huge servings but do expect to feel satisfied when you leave. Easily the best restaurant experience in the area.

A

Yes, it's expensive and the portions are not huge like what you get at a chain restaurant. However, this was by far the best food I have ever had. The menu was carefully thought out and the flavors were amazing. It was worth every penny and we will definitely be going back!

My wife and I had dinner at Elderslie for the first time for our anniversary, and were impressed with the overall experience. The service was prompt and thoughtful. The staff was knowledgeable, and courteous. The food was fantastic and creative. We were especially impressed by the Elderslie Farms cheeses. Overall it was a great experience and we do plan on returning in the future.

We came here for gathering for work. They truly made it an experience! It was relaxing and everything was wonderful. They explained what each course was down to the last detail and why each wine is designed for each dish and others like it you can have at home. We were gifted some goat cheese and wine. You can feed the goats as well!! Thank you to the chef and staff for making our event special . It felt intimate and not "your job" , you enjoyed being there .😁

By far the best restaurant in Wichita, from start to finish. It reminds me of a meal we would have at one of our favorite restaurants and Napa Valley.

Hidden gem in the Heartland! This high-end dining experience was a gift for my husband and I from our daughter on Mother's Day weekend. The location off the beaten path is ideal and will soon be a highly-sought-after wedding venue and romantic dinner stop for couples or friends to meet. The wine pairing was amazing and the farm-to-table berries, greens, meats and cheeses wonderful. We had a beautiful evening for alfresco wine sipping and appetizers on the patio before dinner. We were seated beside a lovely young couple at dinner and enjoyed visiting with them. You will not leave hungry! When offered complimentary champagne on the patio after dinner, we had to decline, as we were so full! The warm hospitality and ambiance was quaintly unique. Seeing the goats grazing nearby as you eat the fresh goat cheese is refreshing as well as the rows of fresh blackberries that are served for dessert. I will return soon once the breakfast cafe opens! I would recommend this fabulous find to anyone who enjoys the finer things in life! 😘

We did the summer outdoor dining last time we were there. The menu isn’t very kid friendly but the outdoor space is. The menu was full of delicious items and our kids had fun running and playing.

We thoroughly enjoyed our evening at Elderslie! Each course was delicious and a treat to the palate! Every course was a beautiful and artistic presentation with just the right amount of food. We also appreciated the leisurely time we were given to relax and enjoy the entire evening. The staff was very attentive, professional, and accommodating. The pricing is very reasonable for such a gourmet meal. Truly, Elderslie is a gift to Wichita!

Took a short, beautiful drive under the moon to the countryside last evening and enjoyed what may have been one of the top five meals of my life?! Our server encouraged us to start with the focaccia, and we’re so glad we did — it was fantastic. We also loved the pappardelle and short rib dishes, both memorable. Everything was perfectly complemented by a blackberry spritz and a delicious bottle of Northern Italian red wine. The setting at Elderslie is intimate and cozy, and the entire experience felt like a treat. You can genuinely feel the love and care that goes into every detail of what’s offered there. It was just excellent, all around. We will be back!

My wife and I had the pleasure of experiencing the chef’s tasting last Saturday, and it was nothing short of a masterpiece. Elderslie Farm, it’s like experiencing the unfolding of a story, receiving a sense of place that is deeply rooted. The hospitality provided by Katharine and George is unmatched—they have a way of making you feel like royalty from the moment you walk in. Richard’s expertise as a sommelier was top notch; his wine pairings brought every dish to life. If you are looking for the best feast in the state, this is it. An absolute gem. Thank you Elderslie for giving my wife and I such a, dare I say, holy meal.

Go for appetizers and drinks on the patio. It's lovely and fun! Good food. Beautiful relaxing atmosphere! Friendly team. Skip the prefix menu - the price is no longer worth it. I've been to Elderslie Farm several times for the pre-fixed dinner. With the cost, it's saved for rare big special occasions (wedding celebrations, anniversary/birthday combos, etc) and always been my favorite place in or around Wichita! The food is always incredible and the wine pairings are spot on - they always elevate the food. The atmosphere is intimate and gorgeous. The staff are friendly and accommodating. I adore it. I've recommended it to about everyone I know for years. But recently they raised the prices on the prefix menu+pairings by about 25% and I don't think I can recommend the prefixed menu any more because of the price. And I was not impressed by my most recent visit. I respect the price hike given the times, but my most recent visit made me feel it really wasn't worth it any longer. Several signs showed the kitchen was understaffed last night. I'm a patient person, and I totally get that was probably frustrating for the team, and it was out of the norm. The team did apologize once early on. But we ended up being there for about 3 hours while our prefixed meal slowly came out. We were really hungry until finally about 2 hours in. We had to get the team's attention to ask for our water glasses to be refilled several times. It was not the experience I was used to, and was disappointing specifically because A) it was to celebrate several things including a thank you to a visiting family member and B) the price. At the end I was hoping they would have comped something for the experience - most other resturaunts would have. (I get an extra plate wasnt a possibility because of the kitchen issue) But nope, full price. My guest left saying it was "a one in a lifetime experience". But that's the thing - it shouldn't be only a one time experience, and if it is, then there can't be days like this out of the norm. There's other good restaurants in Wichita for a fraction of the price. There's other good restaurants with a prefix menu and pairings in places like Kansas City for a fraction of the price, where even with drinks its under $100 a person. I still adore Elderslie farms, and we will certainly be back for appetizers and drinks on the patio! But I will no longer be recommending or enjoying the prefix menu. It's a shame.

I've been to Elderslie many times in the last few years and the past two time have really soured my experience. The food is ALWAYS imoecable. However, the level of service we have received the last 2 visits has been abysmal. From little to no water refills, missing wine pairings, lack of silverware, and lack of explaining each course and wine pairing as I've come to expect, it has been rough. This past visit we waited 1 hour before receiving our first course of food. It will be a long while before we return.

My husband suggested a date night here, and I was thrilled because I had heard such wonderful things. We are early birds so we chose a 5pm reservation time. We arrived early so we could see the property, and I thoroughly enjoyed seeing the goats and walking around a very pretty setting. We were treated very warmly by the staff, and were seated in a lovely room while being told the history of the home. Unfortunately, the food was not up to par. While I found it to be decent, it wasn't the amazing experience I was told about by professional reviewers. For my husband, it was an awful experience. I have eaten at many small plate establishments, so while I expected small portions, these were genuinely tiny. Unfortunately, they also weren't cooked well. The purpose of small bites is to have high quality ingredients cooked superbly. This particular menu was not cooked well or with great flavor. While many of the items were presented beautifully, there was no flavor, no heart, and the presentation often made them overly difficult to eat. It was so overthought, it was almost ridiculous. The charcuterie board was delicious, though I question why we were given a block of very hard cheese that had not been crumbled or shaved. The non-alcoholic drink menu was very limited which was harder for my husband to stomach than I. I chose to have a glass of sparkling wine, and it was quite nice. The set menu was heavy on things that are generally divisive, like olives, radishes, and beets, which are things I quite like, but my husband loathes. So immediately, he was not enthusiastic. This could be blamed on him not looking closer at the available menu online, but honestly the menu lacks detail, it doesn't even properly describe the food we were served. The biggest disappointment for my husband was the pork belly. I had a bite of it, and I concur with his assessment that it was bad. It was very small and thin, and it had zero flavor. It tasted like it had been overcooked in a skillet. My husband has made better pork belly numerous times. My scallops were good, but again, not great. I have had better meals for half the price, so why am I being charged so much for subpar food? At the end of the night, we paid $237 for a very disappointing meal for two. The one thing we both had no problem with is the mandatory gratuity. We believe in tipping well, and in a thriving wage, so that is something we thoroughly applaud the owners for. You may ask why we didn't bring this to anyone's attention at the time, and I would ask you, what good would it do? We aren't looking to get our money back, we made the choice to go, we ate the food. Were they going to whip us up something better or different? I don't believe the kitchen staff could. I think the chef lacks the ability to cook the chosen items well. Maybe a different menu would be better for us, but I thoroughly believe that isn't the case. After reading many reviews, I find that most people have had similar experiences to us when they have dined at the restaurant. Most of the positive word of mouth was about their Cafe, or their cheeses, which their cheeses are magnificent! The real kicker was that my husband and I found ourselves with very upset stomachs that night. $237 gone, and multiple trips to the bathroom.

This place has presentation and atmosphere down. So well in fact that I think those two things are what affect their food prices the most, not necessarily the food itself. **If you don't read this whole thing, here's the key takeaway: prices are way too high, and this place charges an 18% service charge and then asks you to tip. I only had breakfast so I can't speak for dinner. ** This place doesn't quite earn their prices. The food isn't terrible by any means, but for a small breakfast dish (and I mean small) every dollar above $10 gives me more and more of a right to be extra critical of it. I got biscuits and gravy with a side of eggs ($15 for the biscuits and gravy, an additional $4 for the side of eggs). Total of $19. This was not worth that price. My wife got lemon pancakes for $14. She said the taste was good but size vs. taste puts this dish far from being worth $14, these things were tiny. As for the service charge, it feels weird to be asked to tip after an 18% service charge is added, ESPECIALLY when you order your food up front and drinks are self-serve. Doesn't seem like money you've earned from your customers, maybe some don't even realize they are paying it. The service was good. The coffee had a lot of grounds in it, we inquired politely about it and the staff was quick to refund us for the coffee ($4 per cup) since they were also out of coffee at around 10:30 a.m. on a Sunday. I did not get dinner here, only breakfast. Maybe the dinner is more worth its price, but I can't see myself ever finding that out for myself.

A
Alberto Colunga

Food was great went there this past weekend. They can upgrade on the dinning. Looked like we went back in the 50’s. Service was no worth $33.69 gratuity. My bill was $248.45 for just me and my wife. The bill is what me and my wife usually spend on when we go out. I don’t mind tipping. I have tipped $100 on great service many times. But don’t force me to tip on a service that was not worth $33.69.

K
Kristel Tiwari

Was looking forward to eating here and trying the pancakes but when we got there, already ran out. I'm not sure how a café doesn't have such a popular breakfast item not stocked up during the weekend. Whilst the ambience was nice , we couldn't enjoy our food in peace since there were lots of flies and wasps circling us. We had to basically rush our meal and leave. We didn't want our baby getting stung by wasps.

A
Anna Lemon

Food 10/10. Atmosphere for dinner & brunch 10/10. Service 0/10. Maybe negative. They truly have the worst people/ girls working here. All not friendly. All not helpful. All very snotty for no reason whatsoever or truly just don't have kind personalities. This was not only to different customers, but even to some of the newer people working there, I can tell they were making them feel uncomfortable. It's mainly the girls that work the brunch area on different Sundays. And you are automatically charged 18% gratuity no matter what. Well, other than it being a serve yourself for brunch, their personalities or kindness wouldn't be making a dime. The dinner staff was a little friendlier but the service very very slow. Not sure who they are choosing as their hires. But they have absolutely beautiful grounds and properties and 10/10 amazing farm to table food. Please fix your staff here.
