Stopped in with my daughter on our way back from HEB foundation camp. She told me she was craving some real TX barbecue. We stopped in here and were no disappointed. On top of being extremely courteous and kind, the brisket and ribs were great! Juicy, tender and just the right amount of smoke infused into the meat. We had a great lunch and if we go back through Kerrville in the future and want some barbecue, we will be returning!
The truest Texas Barbecue experience one could ever hope or ask for. Top notch service, brisket that will leave you star struck, and an atmosphere that feels like home. Worth the detour every single time.
Bill’s catered for a memorial reception. Joe provided great communication, he was well organized and compassionate towards our needs. It was obvious that Joe has been in this business for a long time. Our family and friends raved about the food and the servers were extremely polite to our guests, making sure everyone had plenty to eat. I highly recommend Bill’s BBQ!
Ohhhhh this place is soooo good. I work nearby and just walk over every so often and it never fails to be delicious!!! I always get the chopped brisket sandwich with beans and it is always phenomenal. Highly highly recommend going in!!!!
I had a chopped brisket sandwich and potato salad. All were good. They had all the side dishes as well, coleslaw, baked beans, pickles, onions and of course bbq sauce.
Stopped by happy accident. Entered into Google for Bill Miller's BBQ and got something better!! The food was flavourful and the service friendly.
This place knows how to make the MEATS! The brisket is melt in your mouth brisket. The smoked turkey is flavorful and juicy. There are 3 choices of sides to choose from; potato salad, which was perfect in every way, cole slaw, and pinto beans without meat. The prices are reasonable and the food is scrumptious! If you come hungry, you will leave full. Find a spot to park. You won't regret it! The staff was friendly and helpful. They even give out samples! Bonus!!!
I've had BBQ from all over the States. I have a rule if the building looks old and worn down the the food is good. (This has never failed me at any place I eat). I had the 3 meat plate and got ribs, pulled pork, and brisket. The brisket was done perfectly moist and savory. Ribs were literally falling off the bone as you picked them up from the plate. The pulled pork was unbelievably savory. None of which had an overpowering bark, but we're perfect balance between meat and seasoning added. The home made BBQ sause was not to sweet not to spicy but a perfect balance to go between pork and beef. Their buttermilk pie was exceptional. Service was perfect. Love that when you walk in, it is cafeteria style serving. If you stop in Kerrville, know that you will get some damn good BBQ from this family owned establishment.
Hands down the best brisket we had in all of Texas. The baby back ribs were falling off the bone good. Everything was tasty. And the staff was extremely friendly and helpful.
We finally got the chance to experience Bill's Bar-B-Que. Since 1982...the longevity alone let us know it had to be good. And we really enjoyed what we ordered. I had a 1-meat plate (brisket, potato salad, beans) and my husband ordered the brisket sandwich with chips. Service was excellent with people who really made us feel welcome. We met Joe, too (nice talking with you.) We'll have to come back and try the rest of the menu...but not all at one time! Thank you!
Loved the food and the atmosphere! The staff (and other diners) were wonderful. Everyone felt so welcoming. Great value and delicious food!! Best bbq chicken I’ve ever had!
Counter serve with in-store dining. Portion size is very generous for the price! I travel a lot and would say this is the 2nd best tasting bbq I've ever had, but factor in portion size for the price and it's #1. I had brisket, bbq ribs, sausage, chicken, potato salad and coleslaw.
Came here to eat with my family The service was beyond. Everyone was so friendly, helpful, patient with me! Order your meat then you go down the line getting condiments and sides if you want. Serve yourself. Drink etc then pay. Indoor seating available and restrooms out back!! Delicious food. I ordered the big ol brisket sandwhich
Saw this place on the way to a birthday party, and on the way back we knew we had to stop. Food is delicious and they give you plenty on your plate. Since it was our first time in here and they gave us some small offerings to taste, very friendly staff Will be back
Great BBQ joint. Nothing fancy. Doesn't need to be. People were super friendly and the food was good. The meats were done right and the sides were simple (potato salad, Cole slaw and beans). Everything was fresh, delicious and portions were a good size. Onions, pickles, jalapenos and bread were available also. Good sauce too. Just add a cold beer from the cooler and lunch is served!
You don’t get any more Texas BBQ than this place! If your in the area passing they definitely worth the stop. We do every trip. The smell hits ya as soon as ya get out the car. If you were not hungry, you are now! These are my friends pics from his recent visit. Very reasonable prices! Friendly staff.
What a great place! This is Texas BBQ as it should be. Small quaint roadside BBQ joint with piles of wood and smokers right upfront and in plain sight with outdoor seating. Meat meat and more meat smoked to perfection and sliced right in front of you as you order. Add in homemade pie and Styrofoam cups ... Bills IS Texas BBQ! Update: Back in TX and had to stop by Bills... did not disappoint! Love this place. The people here are always super nice, warm, welcoming and the food is off... the... charts... good! Will be back in March/April.
Smoke ring fine and tenderness good. Sausage could have more seasoning. Overall great bbq
Brisket and jalapeño cheese sausage are the best, this place really knows how to make the proteins, however the sides could be better, they only have 3 options. Would definitely go again tho!
Did a dinner take-out from Bill’s BBQ…this place has been around for over 40 years and is a local favorite. I went with the 3-meat sampler dish with chicken, pulled pork, and brisket with beans and potato salad as the sides. Overall…the meal was OK. The chicken was good, the pulled pork had nice flavor, and the brisket was just OK, not much bark or flavor. I enjoyed the potato salad but wasn’t a big fan of the beans.
Ordered family pack.. haven’t even tried it yet so can’t speak on the food just yet, but- The prices are way off on the google menu. Google says $34 and picked up and it’s was $54. I wasn’t complaining or asking for anything, but as someone who is also in restaurant industry… suggested they update prices. The lady was super short and kind of rude to me. The whole atmosphere was super uncomfortable. She acted like I should just know that she hasn’t updated google since google came out. Like I was dumb for not knowing better. Of course I tipped because I make my living off tips and will never not tip- but- I promise I will never be back here
