First time ever. The food & service was fantastic!!
Great food! Great service! Delicious! Only complaint , Is the hot sauce needs more spice! More flavor! More peppers, and needs cilantro! I had a Pina colada ! It was amazing ! And our waiter , was a young man with glasses, and he was an awesome waiter, it was me, hubby and my two girls , and we really loved the food!
The food was great and our waiter he was friendly and full of joy. We will definitely be going back to this restaurant when we visit Kilgore tx.
The food was amazing and the drinks were too!! No wait, friendly staff and our order was out within 10 minutes. The only drawback was that our waitress didn't come back to check on us so we had to keep asking a different waitress for more chips and sauce. Other than that I recommend this place to anyone that likes good food!!
Went last night. Our waitress was fantastic. Wish I would have gotten her name so I could give her the credit she deserves. Food was awesome. No complaints.
Jalapeno Tree is great family restaurant. Servers are friendly and quick. Our drink cups were never empty. And the food has always been fresh and hot when it gets to our table, and ALWAYS soooooo delicious. Even the picky eaters enjoy their meals. Will continue to return time and time again.
I’m not an expert on Mexican food. I enjoyed and walked out full as a tick! Great taste, good service.
Our waitress ms. Mary made this the best experience I’ve had in this restaurant! She was kind and attentive. If y’all go ask for Mary!
This was my best experience here in the 11 years that we been here. I attribute this to our waitresses (Tracey and Christina), they were very attentive to our requests and friendly. My chicken fajitas were perfectly cooked and seasoned. The burrito that my wife ordered was "yummy!" The only recommendation that I would suggest is to invest in better seating.
I wanted to post a review because I was so impressed with my to go order. Everything was fresh and packaged perfectly. I ordered 2 beef fajita meals and a cheese enchilada dinner. Each order had an individual box of chips with red and green sauce and fajita butter. The food was delicious. Thank you so much to those who take pride in their job. Will definitely be back!!
The tamales were amazing!!!! We don’t live around here but just happened to pass by on way home from a competition. After eating an awesome dinner, we are now wishing there was a location near us. Food and service was top notch!
Food was great. Sweet tea, for me, was too sweet, even after i watered it down half way with ice and water. That's just me though. I had the Clint Eastwood. Now that's good eating!
Jalapeño Tree is always enjoyable. Food quality, presentation, and price points are good. On a lower note, this last visit we ate on the porch. Everything was great as our several other visits, but...the chairs for the outdoor seating are not user-friendly, way too low. Hard to eat from, just saying.
Nayely was great at her job. She is very polite and professional. Didn’t have to ask for refills she was on her game . Definitely be back and she will get my business.
Had a really nice dinner with my family. Food was delicious as always and our waitress was great! She was one of the best waitresses I've ever had! I highly recommend this jalapeno tree
This was the second time that our fajitas weren't hot...warm, but not hot! Also, while my husband was in the restroom, he saw an employee use the urinal and then go back into the kitchen without washing his hands. We reported these issues to the mgr when she came by our table, and she said she'd get right back to us. We never saw her again. 5/8/22 Update Service and food were outstanding today. 9/17/23 Again, service and food were fantastic! Seems like prices are increasing, but that's to be expected. They're short handed but trying to hire.
They were excellent with the staff shortage they were experiencing. They did not overload the customers so the staff was stretched too thin. Our waitress was Madison and she was amazing!! We never had to ask for a refill of anything, it just appeared as if by magic. They had multi person tables, yet made you feel you were their first priority. Good Job, Madison and the whole crew.
Overall my experience at the Jalepeno Tree in Kilgore was good. Great service (server was Tanner) and the food was good. The complementary salsa and queso are tasty, and the frozen margaritas standard. I was impressed by the Chili Relleno as it was one of the better versions I've had anywhere, however it could use some more spice beyond the poblano - Tanner hooked me up with some house hot sauce and it did the trick. I would recommend this location for Tex-Mex in Kilgore.
Waiter did an excellent job serving us. My food was prepared just the way I asked. Cooks chopped my chicken fajita meat up perfectly as I requested. Food came out quickly. Jalapeno tree is always my go to place. I love it! Seating could use some better clean up but still good 👍
This is our weekly place! Of course we love Mary and Tamika is on the floor helping her team every time I am in here. The food is always good & the service is always great. Everyone is so friendly, restaurant is clean, Tamika the manager is great with us and helps her team. Our son is in a wheelchair and the team is always so accommodating. Highly recommended.
We arrived during sunday lunch rush and felt a little neglected by our original waitress. Miss Barbara took over from our waitress and was very hospitabile and made us feel well taken care of. The Food was Hot and delicious also. Thank you! Miss Barbara you did a great job!
Came in tonight food was great, and fast, and our server Christina sealed the deal, very delightful, and very
Had lunch yesterday here & it was amazing. Friendly, clean, & delicious!!! Highly recommend.
The wait staff was great. Mary and James were our servers. They were very attentive and courteous! Love the food here too.
We had a new waitress and you could tell. The food was great as usual. The bar area only had 3 customers but she was moving slow and took awhile for her to wait on us. She might need additional training.
The food was amazing, the whole place was clean, the staff was wonderful to me and my giant group, the man that served us deserves a raise if he isn’t getting one right now, the man’s name is Narada and he gave me and my group a wonderful experience. 10/10 would reccomend.
Very clean inside and outside. Everyone has a smile on there face, everyone helps everyone. It seems to be a close family of employees, the manager is on the floor helping everyone, and talking to guest. The food was one of the best Mexican food spots I have been too. The only thing I did not like was the charro beans. 100 out of 10..
A really cool place for dinner. Not really fancy but cool and fun. Both the server and food were terrific. I ordered the veggie fajitas and the portion was large. They came with what looks like melted garlic butter but whatever it was it was super spicy. It was not expensive and it was very family friendly.
I have now been to 2 jalapeño tree restaurants and I have found them both to be very good. Had a couple of different plates the food and everything on all the different plates we have had has been great. They have a huge selection of food and options and the quantity size for each plate is humongous of what I have seen so far. The wait staff has been good but could be much better. I understand like many other restaurants they are suffering from a wait staff shortage and thus creating Mini issues that could otherwise be avoided. Did not remember seeing any covid-19 precautions in place and don't worry called they're wearing any face masks either. Wait staff was very friendly and helpful when they were there and able to serve you. I will definitely plan on returning to the jalapeño tree 4 very good Mexican food. The wait time sometimes to be seated seems to also be an issue as they don't over seed for the wait staff. Understandable.
This place has excellent Tex-Mex, the atmosphere is fun and the service is great. My wife and I will go 30 miles out of our way to make it here when traveling.

Salsa very plain no flavor like tomato paste, food was okay. Service was good.
I have been going here for years, and I have to be honest on this one. It is a hit or miss, but the majority of the time, it is a hit. The food is great, I am a huge fan of their smothered burrito. Their chips and salsa, enchiladas, and fajitas are delicious. Their nachos are normally good. The last time I went was not great, but it still filled me up.
Jayden was our waitress and she had a great personality. She was very knowledgeable about the menu and answered all the questions I had. Food was nice and hot I got the create your combo 4 chicken enchiladas with queso on top. Only thing I would have liked better is the chips weren't hot but I chalked that up to going in there at 9pm. Overall great food and even better customer service.
Stopped in with a large group for lunch, and wasn't disappointed. I had the beef fajita burrito plate, with white Chile con queso. The cheese topping was very thick (like Velveeta thick), and the rice and refried beans were both good. Due to the thickness of the cheese, I couldn't finish the plate, but I was content at that point. Will likely be back next time in town.
New bartender was a little shy but overall great experience
I personally am not a big Mexican food lover but I must admit the price to portion value is terrific. The waitress was new at her job and forgot a few things but all in all good service. I just wish I could have gotten my Beers a little faster. The atmosphere leaves to be desired. In my personal opinion they need more Booth options. Also I think they need a few more displays. If you are the type to sit down and have a meal without distractions and focus on family it's a great place.
While placing our order, we were asked several questions in minute detail regarding the type of cheese, texture of taco shells, and fillings. that seemed never-ending. However, when we received our meals, several mistakes had been made. For example, we ordered hard shell tacos, one chicken, and one beef only to be served soft shells with only beef. Both were excellent, but they were not correct.
Food was good. Had a Fajita bowl, yum! Aaron was our waiter, he did and excellent job. Had to wait about 30 minutes for a table. It is Sunday, all restaurants are busy. Seemed to be a little short staffed. I appreciate their sign that says be patient with them. We have a party of 6, we have learned to be patient. Great job, Jalapeno tree!
Look, let's be honest. It is decent food for a decent price. They have pretty good fajitas and the white queso is better than the yellow. A reliable fall back when the family can't decide where to eat.
I ordered nachos for pickup. They were good and they were plenty, but the display when they are placed in a pizza box is dismal. It did not look like $16 worth of food! The chips and salsa were good, too, and stayed crisp longer than the nachos. My only complaint — if you want to call it a complaint — was the appearance of the meal.
Had to take a star away today and was gonna take 2 but the ice cream machine is back. Several open tables with people waiting. I do understand if you're short staffed but when you post a sign that you are but have girls standing around behind the sign doing what?... Food was like they say, Crazy good but crazy high as well. Split fajitas for 1 with a bill of $22. Waitress was ok. No water refill and dirty plate we had to exchange. Still good food in the long run of things.
The only negative is salad. The leave is too much for the container and large pieces. When trying to cut it up it spills out everywhere and the meat is sparse in comparison. The green sauce is great. Everything else is great, just avoid the salad or ask for two plates.
They don't place you directly beside another occupied table... Which is nice. The dinners were good. Service was pretty good. Waiter didn't come back and ran out of chips and drinks and forgot the water at the beginning. I got a chicken taco salad which was slightly overcooked. The beef enchiladas were really good. Definitely will come back.

Long wait, plenty of tables open , keep hearing from Host that they where short handed so this explains the long wait. Very unorganized, several standing around with the host who could be helping Clear tables and seating people. Food was good, took 15 minutes to get order of drinks in and again where short handed. Then once order was put in it can fairly quickly and was good but still had issues getting refilles and the waitress seamed upset that we want drinks. So food good serves bad and management needs to improve conditions and help work the floor them selves if it's that short handed.
The Tortillas were ok (not what grandma makes). The drinks were not good, maybe stick to beer. The food was OK. The Tex-mex we're used to in Florida blows this away. But our waitress was super nice!
The Longview location is way better. I ordered a Bo Diddley which is grilled fish and shrimp on a bed of rice topped with a tequila cream sauce yet when they brought my plate there was no rice just fish shrimp and sauce 😒 the waitress had no idea that the order was incorrect neither did the cook. The fish tasted very fishy. The place was clean the waitress was good other than that
The food was pretty good, service needed some work. Server was friendly but forgot drinks and such. Ordered the table a pitcher of Margaritas and they were really disappointing. Couldn’t taste any tequila at all, super weak. One of the waitresses mentioned that the drinks had been a common complaint lately not having hardly any alcohol. I thought maybe mentioning it they would make it right but they didn’t.
The food was good. The service left a little to be desired. We elected to sit out on the patio, and it was like we were forgotten about. To be fair, I also realize that the seemingly mad way restaurants give tables to servers can make their jobs more difficult. Perhaps that was the case. Our waitress was very kind and polite.
Need more cooks, waitresses, and managers who actually acknowledge you. These managers are so unfriendly and act like we, customers, are a bother to them. The waitresses are good but have to take care of so many tables to where they can't give great service. Not their fault. Management, night mgrs anyway, are terrible.
The food is just too expensive. We just got veggie nachos and waters and the bill was $35. I asked to speak with the manager to further understand why when the menu says $12 but after waiting for the manager for 10 minutes we ended up just paying and leaving. The food is good though just way overpriced when there are sooo many other options. Like be realistic.
It was a decent experience. Nothing superb or excellent. Not bad but not great. I actually told my wife that I'm going to start paying her to make our dinners so we don't have to eat out at restaurants.
Honestly the star of your show tonight was Ms. Christina. Definitely a great bartender despite saying she doesn’t work bar often. The food was very disappointing and took forever, but the drinks were great. Also loved the oldies music. We still left happy tho thanks to the amazing service. We will for sure be back. Hopefully the kitchen steps up their game.
First time being here and had a crazy experience with our table we was sitting by. our waitress christina was very helpful and very attentive to us but the people was very rude.
Food portions were generous, presentation showed care, and taste was solid. Service from the bartender was friendly and attentive. However, she was very new (only 2+ weeks experience) and clearly untrained—drinks were consistently made incorrectly across multiple visits and orders. Skimpy pours and wrong recipes suggest the restaurant's "bartender's Bible" is inaccurate. This isn't on the bartender; it's management/training issue. Food good, but bar drinks consistently disappointing.
No good, not bad. Food was just okay. Definitely doesn’t taste authentic. I didn’t see any Mexican people working here honestly.
Bad manager, staff playing games with who wait witch tables, so we just wait 20 minutes to get cokes and chips. Another 20 minutes to get food to table wrong. Staff apologies but bad manager on Thursday evening. Will not be first choice next time. God bless
The food was good but overpriced for what we received. The service was slow and nonexistent when we really needed a refill of our drinks. We love the salsas served and the atmosphere was relaxing.

Second time here. Last trip wasn’t so pleasant. This time had a short wait to sit, which was perfectly fine. Once seated it took quite a while to be seated and asked for a drink order. Chips and salsa arrived far before. Once the server happened to stop by we were ready to order. The waiter explained that he would hold our entree order until our queso order came out b/c it would all come out together otherwise. So strange they can’t organize enough to handle two courses. The queso came out and it was OK. Then the really interesting thing happened. The server came back and explained our entree order was lost and asked us again what we wanted. Don’t get me wrong, I have done this myself when I served and I get it. He was VERY apologetic and I had to tell him to stop apologizing b/c I’ve been there too. However, in this case, and considering I didn’t have a good experience last time, I’m truly confounded at the kitchen organization and overall management here. We split mixed fajitas and they were also OK. Fixings were really nice and the charro beans very flavorful. This is a quaint town and eateries are limited. I think, however, that this rather unique spot can step up their game.
There seemed to be some confusion as to which server was ours so we had 2 people coming up to the table. It sounds nice until they're coming up every 2-3 minutes ago you can't carry on a conversation. They kept putting everything down within the baby's reach (chips, hot sauce, hot plates, drinks). Every time we asked for anything there was a long wait. The food does not even compare to their competitors. Overall, they're not up to par in the service or food area. They have a nice atmosphere, though.
We came in with a party of 7. It was busy so we expected a little wait but service was very slow, took quite a while just to get drinks, and our appetizer(just queso) didn't come out until we asked about it several times. Queso was terrible and almost like water. The plate my food came out on was hot unfortunately the food was not. Probably my first and last visit.
Popped in for a lil bit mid week not busy but the food was meh. The service wasn't great but the moment I put money into the check thing the server was directly there to take the bill.
We are giving JT 2 stars because we paid $16 for 2 margaritas that tasted terrible. We asked staff why, they said management had changed the mix they had been using. The food was good, the wait staff was sweet but we have always enjoyed their margaritas. It tastes like a much cheaper mix. So sad.
Manager contacted me and made it right. I will go back and update my review at that time. For TexMex food it was very bland. I got the chicken fajita quesadilla and it was chicken and cheese only. No flavor at all. Second time this has happened. I don't see myself going back.
Stopped here for some lunchtime Mexican food. Was specifically looking to enjoy a plate of fajitas. Ordered a plate of nachos and the mixed fajitas to share between my wife and myself. To be frank, the worst fajitas ive ever ordered. I couldnt believe how small the meat portion was (the attached photo was taken before we touched it). For $21, thats outrageous. The chicken was dry and underseasoned, and the onion and bell pepper were barely charred. Super disappointing, substandard tex-mex. On the other hand, the nachos were great, the server was as sweet and as friendly as can be, and our order arrived at the table promptly.

Placed a pick up order over phone. Nathan was nice! I couldn’t say the same for the bartender who ignored myself and another lady who was waiting for service for 7-10 minutes. Doesn’t introduce herself and came across as if she did not want to help. Bar was empty. She lack customer service qualities!
I give these guys chance after chance and they always mess up my togo order. Went in on new years eve night. Its on even busty at all, had to have them remake my order twice. Didnt offer any incentive or any type of a refund just made wait. So sad.
The Kilgore Jalapeño Tree is horrible! I spent over $100 on take out, wasn’t greeted let alone told where to pick up my order. When I went to the bar area to pick up my order, a waiter and waitress were standing there looking at FB and discussing a date together. Didn’t even acknowledge my presence and I was literally two feet away from them. It was the same at the Hostess desk on entry, four employees standing there looking at their phones. Surprised this location is even open. Will be lodging a complaint at the corporate level because the manager didn’t seem to care when speaking with her. Needless to say, the food was cold when I got home because the entire process took so long. I only live 15 minutes down the road.
Worst experience ever! Went there for lunch today with husband and 3 small kids. Waited 10 minutes for a booth. Waitress spilled part of our drinks and had to remake them. Never offered any refills. Ordered tortillas 3 times and finally had to get them to go since we didn’t get them with our chips/salsa. Waited for ever on the waitress to take order and on the food. My sons taco was wrong, manager came over to make sure he wanted a cheese taco and explained what it was. Yes we knew what it was, we ordered it off the kids menu! Just a horrible lunch experience and they were not even busy! Will not be back to this location. Too chaotic, too slow, unfriendly, and food was just mediocre. Don’t waste your time or money.
We never had our own waitress/waiter. When our food arrived there was a long hair in the rice. They took it back to kitchen. Manager came to table to check on our food. We let her know about the hair. She stated she would comp that one meal. When the new order came back the beef was raw. The meal was not eaten and not re ordered. No one came to refill our drinks. When host sat us we were not given any utensils. Won't go back. Very unorganized.
Overall service was terrible, food was extremely greasy and way over priced for the quality. To start our waiter completely mixed up our tables order with the one behind us BUT it was no big deal. My boyfriend and I ordered 1 STEAK quesadilla to share with a CUP of queso and 2 teas. When our food arrived the quesadilla was taco meat and was sitting in a literal puddle of grease. For 10 minutes we are looking for our waiter for discuss the meat issue in the quesadillas he tries to tell us it IS steak. Finally he comes to an agreement it is obviously taco meat we tell him do not worry about it because at this point we had been there for an hour. This quesadilla came with no beans or rice and simply 4 small slices of a half of a quesadilla this was $16. We waited another 15 minutes for our waiter to come pick up our ticket, mind you it’s 8:30 p.m and there’s maybe a total of 3 other people in the place. Just super disappointed.
Ordered takeout lunch fajitas, extra chips and salsa ect, ordered online drove up there on lunch picked everything up looked in the bag there was alot of stuff in there in containers figured everything was good especially since I paid a 20 percent tip on takeout. Get back to work and no tortillas for a fajita order spent my lunch break going up there to get everything don't have time to go back up there. Learned my lesson and will never be back and be sure to let everyone know to go somewhere else. Tortillas make fajitas.
Doesn’t accept AMEX. Food was bland. Definitely not going back.
This might literally be the worst restaurant I’ve ever been to. Tried to order a margarita when I got there and apparently that was a problem… then ordered my main, and when it came out I had no silverware and half the stuff I ordered wasn’t on the plate. Our waitress was horrible. My drink came and it was literally undrinkable. The worst part is they never brought the food that was missing. I told the manager and she really did NOTHING to make it right. The place seemed dirty also, the menus were even filthy. Do not eat here if you don’t want to be bummed. I would give it zero stars if I could.
A friend invited me to lunch, and we decided on the Jalapeno Tree in Kilgore. Since I had just eaten a few hours beforehand I was going to eat a lite lunch. I decided on 2 cheese enchiladas a la carte. When the bill came, I noticed I was billed $18.37. When my buddy got the full enchilada meal and his ticket was only $16.76. I asked the waiter why mine was more, and he said all a la carte meals were more than the full meal. First, how is a single cheese enchilada $7? That's just crazy. I understand inflation, but that's just ripping people off. The manager came over and said the waiter should have told us all a la carte is higher. I let her know that if I am getting charged more, I will take the beans and rice to go. She was fine with that and charged me the full meal price. It was quite embarrassing arguing about this in front of my friend and other tables listening. I have eaten at Jalapeno Tree for many years, but I will definitely not be going back. Do better, Jalapeno Tree!!!
Had a call in order. Went inside manager sent me to the bar where the bartender was busy but the manager and 2 workers at front were not. Told bartender my order she called for Logan the guy up front and he looked like it was just too much trouble to get off his phone and get my order he went to the screen looked then walked away to talk another worker the manager had disappeared. It was not very welcoming at all. Logan could use some more training on customer service.
This will be our last visit to jalapeño tree. My son’s fajitas were undercooked and no seasoning, they were the color of boiled beef! he refused to eat it, and he’s almost 17 so it’s not bc he’s a child. The salsa is tomato sauce now, no flavors at all, and my chicken enchiladas were, well, weird. The sauce on top had corn in it… I guess the refried beans and rice was okay though.
I made a to go order and asked for quesadillas with HAMBURGER MEAT, GROUND BEEF. I go inside pick up my order and leave. I make it to my residence and it’s not what I asked for. They gave me fajita meat! Not to mention the other items left out. On the bag there was a slip taped that said Fajita and someone had gotten a pen and marked through it and wrote Beef( so maybe whoever took the order the first time didn’t know how to put it in the computer properly) I call speak to a manager and let her know what happened and informed her that it’s 30 degrees outside and that someone will have to come to my car once I come back up there. I get there and one of the girls brings me out the remade food corrected. The quesadillas are so small so I just asked if I I could order of the exact same thing again. Long story short the new order I placed had fajita meat in it again. I call speak to a manager and nothing is being done about it except they can re make my food again. Why would I trust y’all will get it right the third time ? I asked for the owners number and corporate and the manager says well I just can’t give you his personal number… I didn’t even make a comment, because I’m not asking for a Personal number. I had in mind a business number during business hours. Anyways the ground beef on the first order that was re made was not done, it is very much so pink. I have taken photos. I will be contacting the BBB at this point. Thanks for ruining my dinner with fajita meat that was decided to be given to me a 2nd time that I did not ask for that I paid for unknowingly because why would a 2nd mistake happen in the same night with the same individual and then uncooked hamburger meat on top of that.
Went to eat on 11-05-24, our waitress was extremely rude, she had an attitude the entire time, and she made an extremely rude comment about my husband and we did not appreciate it. It was unprofessional and disrespectful. She wore a purple shirt, tall with glasses and brown hair. We came to Eat and have a good time but were instead very displeased with our experience.
Had been going there for 9 months; every Monday night with a group of 30 to 40 people playing dominoes. Some eating, drinking, both. We show up tonight and are informed that we are no longer welcome to play. No notice, no phone call, nothing. I am very disappointed in the new management.
A to-go bowl of queso used to come with chips, but apparently that's extra now. Am I supposed to guzzle the queso? They only include chips if you order a meal as well, and only a small pittance at that. Quit nickel and diming your customers.
I come to this restaurant often, which makes this experience even more insulting. I ordered a vegetarian dish and it came out with a big piece of beef in it. When I pointed it out, the lady manager admitted it was beef, so I asked for it to be remade. Instead of remaking my dish, 2-3 minutes later the manager sent another waiter back with the exact same plate minus the beef, claiming the beef was “mushroom.” As if I wouldn’t know the difference. It felt dishonest and disrespectful. For a place I’ve supported regularly, this was beyond disappointing. The service was unacceptable, and the way the manager handled it was absolute garbage.
Disappointed the manager wouldn't allow the staff to package beef fajitas nachos disassembled, (meaning) with the beans contained separately so that hubby could make a 45 minute drive home to me. They have to package it for a to go order but, they cant put refried beans on the side instead of on the tortilla chips? I know it was a strange request but we would've compensated your waitress for the extra steps or you for the extra containers/time. Just a nope, we can't (won't) do that. I was craving those beef fajita bits and you guys didn't try and accommodate or suggest any other options. Just let him leave empty handed and I'm left hungry and feeling like I asked for too much.. Really insulting and leaves a bad taste in your mouth.
Sadly we won’t be coming back to this location after our last horrible visit on Thursday. We’ve eaten here multiple times over the years without issues before they implemented the new policy of no outside food/drink. We came to have lunch (grandma, me, my 7 year old, my 1 year old) and was told that my 7 year old couldn’t have her sippy cup (they never mentioned anything about my 1 year olds sippy cup). After I explained to multiple staff members that’s she’s autistic and won’t drink out of a different cup they went and notified the store manager. Store manager said it was fine this time but never again. Also the menu still stated they had fried catfish (one of my daughter’s favorite safe foods with double rice of course) but apparently they no longer serve this. I understand the need for the policy they have and I also had no problem ordering an extra glass of tea to refill my kids cups (which I did) but I feel like it should’ve been common sense that the cups were for the kids. Apparently they’re no longer inclusive or will be accommodating for special needs/disabled when it comes to the cup policy. We have no issues going to the jalapeño tree in Carthage but will definitely not be doing our lunches in Kilgore anymore after this experience. We prefer taking our daughter to jalepeno tree since it’s not as loud as others places (she gets overwhelmed with loud noises) and we are able to block her into the booth to keep her from eloping (it’s a safe option because of the booths). Very disappointed that we will have to drive further now to have our “lunches with grandma” but my daughter deserves to be treated better and understood that she has certain things that she just can’t let go of. We try to include her in as much as possible when she can handle it and this place used to be a safe place for her to enjoy some time eating yummy food. Still confused on her cup was any different than her 1 year olds sippy cup too.
We have came to this location many many times! But tonight tops the cake of the worst service i have ever had! Waited over 10 mins to get greeted, let me mention that they also was not busy. Finally we get a sever and the excuse was sorry this section is closed, but we didn’t seat ourself. We order everything all at once. My mom got the combo Fajitas and it comes out like this. She asked the server where all the bell peppers are at and she goes oh it’s the red one right on top. Fast forward to ending the meal our server never came back ended up having to go ask someone for my ticket. And it still never came, the manager comes by and says are yall waiting on something i said yes our ticket. So she takes our payment and everything. My mom proceeds to ask when they changed it up to only one bell pepper on the fajitas and the manager said we didn’t so i show her the picture and she asks if i can send it to her. I grew up in a restaurant so i never complain nor do i ever right a bad review but i can honestly say i will never step foot back into the KILGORE JALAPENO TREE AGAIN! And if the owner is reading this please respond.
