Baja Chimichurri Bowl with Red Argentinian Shrimp was filling and delicious. Lots of great flavor and spice. The Citrus Rice was tasty as well.

Everyone is friendly and willing to help.

Great place for catering orders for small groups. The staff here is very friendly and professional and will help you make adjustments as needed, even up to the night before your order needs to be picked up.

The man who takes our order is always personable and gives great service. I live in Missouri and look forward to getting shrimp tacos at this location when visiting family in the desert.

Very positive experience.. great food, outstanding service. Attempted to order online but had problems.. walked in and asked for help. Person appeared to be the manager quickly and pleasantly resolved problem in the app and processed my order, including the discount offered (in the app). Took food home and enjoyed it immensely. Will of course return in the future.

Thank you Rhonda for being the best employee I’ve ever encountered. My phone got stolen about an hour ago from a (hopefully former) employee. We got the police involved but Rhonda was the one that got the employee to fess up to stealing. Food was great, Rhonda deserves a raise, corporate needs to fire that kid.

Taco Tuesday's are great! $1.75 fish tacos are awesome. Great for a date night without breaking the bank. This location is nice! Can get a bit crowded so come early.

My favorite was the seafood but it all was delish! Moving here from Chicago, this is one of the couple places I have truly enjoyed. Rubios should be on everyone's restaurant rotation list. Everytime we return, we're reminded we need to visit more often. The taco trio is my choice. Grilled shrimp, grilled mahi, deep fried fish. A great combination!

It’s 5/5/2020 I walked in around 8pm there were a lot of people waiting Outside and inside, ordered online, order pick ups ubereats doordash etc. The staff was super busy yet super friendly (as much as possible). I ordered was told it’s gona be a little bit of wait, obviously I can see that so I chose to wait. God bless them, they got a little bit of challenging customers made me feel bad for these poor employees. Any way, over all they’re awesome! Especially Brenda. I love the salmon tacos. Thank you for being open during these challenging times. I appreciate it! Happy cinco de Mayo!!!

We remember Rubio’s in San Diego before they became a big chain, and this spot wowed us again while visiting the area! Big piping hot crispy portions of fish in our fish tacos, great beans with melty cheese and light crisp chips, and their fresh salsas are really something else—you’ll want to pour some on every single bite! They even have an outdoor patio to sit and eat here. Nice staff too.

I would eat here everyday if I could. They have the best gluten free menu in all of Coachella valley in my opinion. Their flavors and food are fresh.

Love love love their gourmet shrimp tacos! How they melt the cheese on the taco shell is amazing! Shrimp always tastes fresh! Love their fresh brewed tea options as well. Churros- yes please! My kids love their chicken quesadillas!

The food here is always fresh and tastes great. The only two issues I've experienced here, more than once, are (1) my online order was not ready for pickup at the time promised and (2) forgetting to put the salsas and sauces I requested in with my online order.

Ate twice via online pickup orders past week. Orders were ready on time. Steak Nachos & Steak Burrito Especial both times were delicious, thank you kitchen crew. Reasonably priced for the size. Little bit of a chaotic counter but finding enough staff is hard these days. General dining room atmosphere seemed average.

I went to eat today at Rubio’s Coastal Grill around 1pm, and I didn’t have to wait to order. I placed an order of fish tacos. The fish tacos were awesome, good size and full of flavor. I also ordered 2 plain burritos to go, and they did not disappoint. Rubio’s meal prices are very reasonable. Everyone working at Rubio’s had a positive attitude and the restaurant was very clean. I read some of the previous unfavorable Rubio’s restaurant reviews, and I didn’t experience any issues. Perhaps management made some operational improvements recently? I will visit the place again when it gets a little busier and will fully update this review. I do recommend Rubio’s Coastal Grill in La Quinta.

Super good. Better than any other tex mex of its style

The fish taco is always my go to staple, but the spice on the shrimp taco is just right. Love this place for a quick lunch. The people were great and the salsa bar let's you dial in your spice level.

Stopped in for lunch. My husband had never eaten at a Rubios.. he pleasantly surprised how good it was. My husband is not picky. But grew up with a dad that used to run a kitchen. So hubby knows food & what good food tastes like. He ordered a plate of tacos & went back for 6 more. We will be back.. no more fake Taco shops for us 🌮

But probably my favorite part of their menu is the roasted salsa. I can eat it by the capsules. They are typically pretty quick in the service and they provide high-level of customer service. Currently they have not reopened their salsa bar which is kind of a bummer, but they will give you quite a few cups of prepackage salsa.

Anything with shrimp is great, especially the Verde Shrimp Tacos. Once I ordered a Mahi burrito, fish was dry... maybe it was an off day? There's a fixings bar with salsas and lime. Kids menu is great. Quesadilla is rolled up neat, looks a little like a burrito.

Good food. Large menu selection. Easy access. Plenty of parking. Condiment table needed a little attention but that just shows how popular and busy they are. Yogurt for desert right next door.

We ordered online and then picked it up. You can't go wrong with Rubios - always tasted pretty good! They did get part of our order wrong, though - missed a special request and gave the wrong sides. But still tasted fine!

The lady behind the counter was very nice and accommodating. My son spilled his drink and I asked her for a rag so could clean it up since she was busy. Please be KIND to our service workers, they are short staffed and doing the best they can😊

I always enjoy the Chopped Chicken Salad with Chipotle dressing. The chicken is served hot and seasoned and the dressing is tasty without being too spicy

fish was really good, but preferred regular tartar sauce instead of jalapeno tarter sauce. Not sure if that was an option

Food is usually cooked well and flavorful. Sometimes fish is over cooked. Cook time is a bit long. Staff is friendly.

Really messed up my takeout order, they did fix it, but I had drive back from my hotel after I discovered the error. My recommendation is to check out your order before you leave. Food is so-so, probably won't be back.

Good food. However, the gentleman traded off with a woman to help someone else and the woman did not get my full order. They seemed busy and did not apologize nor were they personable. I understand they were busy but they really need to have better customer service and smile At the end the woman opened the bag and reviewed the order and said this is what you ordered at the end. I started to said no it was the beginning before he passed you off on me but I did not. She went on to say she is going to double check the got my Order right because she’s not about to get yelled at like she did earlier from another customer. She quoted I’m not about that life. I’m not going to get blamed again. I explain to her she can’t let that stuff affect her and her dealings with other customers. Got my food and left. Clearly she was having a bad day.

Ordered an Original Fish Burrito and Shrimp Burrito to go. The food was tasty and met our expectations. The issue was the 3 or 4 half inch long pin bones in the fish burrito. I came very close to swallowing them. Bummer!

Food is good but the employees could do a better job at recommending food. We ordered tacos for the kids and specifically asked for non spicy ones, when we received our order it was covered in chipotle sauce and a second kids plate had chili pepper as well. We ended up asking for tortillas to make tacos with fish from my salad and it worked out but would have been happier to have everyone's food just how they like it without reinventing the wheel.

I enjoy the food but the service is slow. I do a lot of online orders and pick up time is always at least 10 minutes off. I wait and see employees taking out their phones. Never an apology for being late with orders. Good food but service is lacking.

I was for Tuesday taco special 😋 I bought 14 tacos to take out to my coworkers ask everything on side... didn't happen shame.

Food was good and reasonably priced. Tortilla chips were oily and chewy. Trash on condiments area. Pulled three soup spoons from holder before I got to a clean one. Service was somewhat slow despite not being crowded. Good selection of salsas.

I would have given 5 ☆'s if it wasn't for the yellow chalk taste corn tortillas they use for the tacos. I stopped going to Rubios long ago because of that. I was just there cause of my wife, but I ordered a burrito instead. Maybe some people don't taste the difference in flavor between yellow and white tortillas. I do and hate yellow corn tortillas like I'm sure many more people do. Having both available for customers to choose would be really nice.

We ordered 3 salsas and extra dressing and had curbside pick up. The kid said the salsas were in there and it says on the receipt. You have one job and you cannot seem to do it. This is not the 1st time at the La Quinta store that this has happened. You guys need to more training or something. We won’t be back and will tell our friends not to either.

Just had their new wild-caught lobster burrito. As far as I could tell there was not a single morsel of lobster on it. Should call it the wild scam burrito.

I just ordered a burrito that turned out to be 90% rice. It had no flavor and was the worst burrito I've had in my life. In addition the extra salsa ordered was not included with the order. I used to really like Rubios but this was a total turn off.

While I love rubios and will probably continue to, this location has very bad workers. The lady that was working on the afternoon of 01/04 should be given training in customer service and if not deemed fit, should be let go. This has to be serious. I work mighty hard and when I come to pick up my food I expect the same professionalism. Either take pride in being professional or not. There is no middle groung for me. Truly, I made a mistake. instead of picking up from the app order place I waited for the staff. I have made sure to avoid talking to staff at most places. I will make sure of that at Rubio's. You do too if you dont want to be dragged down by energy theives.

Bad experience with that food my coworker ask for shrimp burrito and he only get 2 Minnie shrimp l ask for steak bowl and there was no steak we told the manager but she didn’t care worst service don’t go to this place

I am literally waiting still for my food. It’s 7:11. Receipt shows order time at 6:45. Whatever is going on at this place a 4.4 star is not warranted. Not coming here or to any of these places again.

Huge mess. No organization. Don’t expect any online pickup order to be delivered in time. Waiting almost 20 minutes past our desired pick up time (and placing it an hour early). Disappointed and will not be back.

Went in to check out this place yesterday night to see the staff arguing with a customer who was waiting for a order .they then had issues with the next three customers orders in line and then someone was picking up a delivery and the person serving was very rude even shouting at the customers and delivery guy saying you just have to wait at least 20; minutes more your not special. I could hear the order was already late as all the previous ones were as well. So with that we gave up as the staff were very rude.

The General Manager, Adriana, was the most abnoxious person I’ve heard in a dining area. She was ranting to a coworker about the schedule, co workers, and her problems in such a bad attitude and loud tone for everyone in restaurant to hear. Nobody wants to hear that. Wanted to say, “hey, shut up”, but I’d rather leave this review. Very unprofessional for a General Manager.
