One of the best breakfasts that I have ever had. I had a chicken fried steak with biscuits and gravy. Everything was cooked to perfection. Excellent portions for the price. Throw in the planes coming and going and this is an excellent place to eat
Service is great and the food is amazing, greasy spoon vibe plus you can watch planes takeoff and land while you eat. I strongly recommend you order the pancakes, never in my life have I had a better pancake than I have had here. I can’t stop talking about them and I will go back just for the pancakes!
Great place to dine with friends after a long early morning walk around the park. Food was good and server was good, however there was another server there he seemed unhappy. Will be back!
We had a wonderful time! Our son has autism & this was a great place to keep him engaged and interested! 💙 And did I mention the food was delicious and the eggs perfectly poached! 💙💙💙💙💙
This is a surprising experience you can have in Pomona. Sitting at the restaurant the expanse of the runway, with planes taking off and landing, and the mountains in the distance, provides a sense of being out of the city. We and our grandchildren enjoyed the experience and the food and service was also good.
This is a cute find inside the Brackett Field Airport. We had a California Eggs Bene and a 2 egg breakfast with bacon. There is an additional 50 cent charge per egg but I’m sure that’s in most places right now. Overall, the breakfast was really good. Our server was super sweet and got our breakfast out quickly on a Sunday morning. If you happen to stay at Bonelli RV park, it’s a quick walk on the trail to get there. Open to anyone. I will visit this place again if I’m in the area. Thank you for a great breakfast! They also have an out door patio you can dine in and watch all the air craft come and go.
Nothing like grabbing a bite to eat and watching helicopters and planes take off just outside. This place is a blast from the past. I think it will be a go to for a while. Service staff are so sweet and nice. Food is great and the atmosphere, who doesn't like watching planes and helicopters take off and land.
This restaurant located next to a small airport really is awesome. First off the Best place to sit is on the patio even though there's sitting indoors available. By sitting outside especially this time of the year November it's cool with a Beautiful scenic view of the mountains in a distance plus seeing small prop planes land and take off every few minutes. I had the French Toast with 2 eggs and ham. Food is served Hot n delicious. It's really Great tasting Home cooking. The only small problem with Norm's this day was the outside server who when asked for cream by my friend for her coffee never got it so she got some from another table herself. I know it is not a big thing but, it was a low point in the meal. Overall everything was top notch and I will be back.
This is was one place I’ll be coming back to more than most places nearby… it’s very hidden so you have to follow the signs. Try to put your name down as soon as you get there cuz they are first come first serve and they seem to get really busy. I went on a Friday afternoon and it was still packed for being a weekday. We waited a little longer because we wanted the full experience that this place provides and requested to sit outside. As you sit and wait for your meal as well as enjoy your meal. You have airplanes constantly landing and flying out of Brackett airport. This place is great for the kids. Our server was also very sweet..
While having our breakfast on the outside patio, We saw quite a bit of single engine planes taxing by at the hold short area right in front of the breakfast joint. Our Waffle combo, Strawberry Supreme, Breakfast Sandwich, and Chicken Fried Steak came out so quick (less than 10 minutes). Four of us were enjoying typical American style breakfast and unlimited coffee while watching planes take off and land on Rwy 26L. The given 5-star is for the level of service (very attentive and friendly staffs) and the nostalgic feeling. We did not expect the Michelin’s stars kind of food, we were here because of the view and a dream of one day one of us might become a pilot. :)
Excellent first impressions! Will definitely be coming back. Came here during brunch with my significant other. Wait time was not bad at all, approximately 5 minute wait to be seated. Great view of the mountains, along with air craft viewing. The breakfast was hearty, and tasty! I ordered the pancake combo. The pancakes were great! Large, and heart. Got scrambled eggs and bacon. The bacon was over cooked, but tasty nonetheless. My love ordered the waffles. Flavors were great. The texture was thick, which made it filling.. The friendly staff was the cherry on top! Overall had a fantastic experience, and brunch to start the day.
Good airport food. Hard to find a good biscuit and gravy and they do an adequate job. Fun to watch airport traffic while having a bite, with almost every seat having a runway view. Patio dining is preferred for nice days and runway view
I work across the street and been wanting to visit for some time now. Wish I would have sooner. Nice place to grab a bite and watch the planes take off and land. The servers were very friendly but seemed a bit unorganized. It was busy so I’ll give them that. The amount of food for the price is worth the visit.
Open since 1983 this little diner attached to Brackett Field Airport has some of the best views of any diner that I’ve ever been to. I will say that the food is not very memorable, but the location and experience was. Inside is like stepping into a time capsule. You walk by telephone booths and newspaper stands to get into the restaurant which also looks like it is preserved in the early 1990s. It is attached to a giant free parking lot so parking is very easy and plentiful. Our server was also very nice and everything that we ordered came out pretty fast. We were lucky enough to get a table outside right by the air field and watched many planes take off and land, which was the highlight of our meal. The food itself was so so, but definitely not bad. We started off with a Cinnamon Roll, which was pretty small and not very fluffy but still had some nice flavors. For our breakfast, we chose the Kitchen Sink Omelette, which was good although it wasn’t blended. The omelette was just folded over the meat so every time you would cut into it everything would spill out. Also, there wasn’t much seasoning or flavors. We also ordered the French Toast, which was a bit better and tasted as expected. I really wanted to like the food more because I really like the scenery, but I feel that this place is worth visiting more for the views than the food.
Stopped in on Thursday morning after my doctors appointment. Wanted to get breakfast and this was a short easy drive from my doctors office. Located at the airport the restaurant provides a great opportunity to see general aviation and enjoy yourself while you’re having breakfast or lunch. The restaurant offers seating outside or inside ( prefer outdoor) to watch the flights and outdoors. I had there (2) eggs with bacon and hash browns with white toast. The food arrived quickly and the service was excellent. 🤓👍✈️ definitely would come back again.
Norms was great, and obvious hit among the local population. I'm a pilot so we flew into this busy restaurant and had to wait. The staff work courteous with that regard and apologetic. The food was basic Cafe style menu. We had no complaints in thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the hustle and vessel at Norm's.
I mean it’s not bad. But definitely not good. I got here around 12:30 on a Friday with the intent to be here earlier for breakfast, but that didn’t happen. It was not busy at all. There were maybe 4 to 5 tables occupied outside. And one inside We were greeted we had to sign in on a piece of paper (kinda outdated but ok) We were able to sit outside where we wanted that was nice. We only had to wait about five minutes to be seated. The tables were wiped down, but they were not cleaned. I use wipes that I had on hand. I did order half a French toast (it came with two slices of diagonal cut toast, a scoop of butter and syrup. Hot nice fine. Not amazing or anything, but it’s food. I also ordered a club sandwich with french fries a Coke and ranch. The Coke came out tasting like the syrup was being stingy. I almost was gonna ask for a different drink, but it could’ve just been the ice diluting it if it did come from a can. The club looked to be a good portion, but the fries were immediately cold. I asked for fresh fries and apologize for even having to ask she said that’s fine but that they needed to take my entire plate? She came out less than a minute with “fresh” fries and the missing ranch The fries were warmer than the fries. I just had but they were not fresh…. We were able to see airplanes going in and out. Nothing crazy but good enough to eat and look out. I will make a note that the older women servers here seem… idk. Lack of pep. Not that they did anything bad, but the overall vibe just gives a sad diner vibe and that contributes to it as well. Thankfully, there are benches at least seven that you can come and not feel pressured to have to eat at the diner to see the airplanes. I wouldnt mind returning again, but probably with my own picnic or something. I wouldn’t go to the diner
I’d been wanting to take my daughter here for some time after going to Maniac Mike’s in Upland earlier this year, which was such a cool experience. This place is similar, just not as good. We asked to be seated outside so we would see the airplanes, and admittedly we were a total group of nine, but the wait took so long. It was over an hour before we were seated, but all good. We asked to sit outside so that’s on us. The issue is there were barely any airplanes to watch which is kind of the point of the restaurant. The inside of the restaurant looked much cleaner than the outside. The napkins at our table were wet, the server brought out the wrong juice for the kids initially and then dropped sausage on the way to our table. These aren’t huge issues and they were quickly resolved but it doesn’t leave a great first impression. I ordered the Sink Burrito which was good and everyone else enjoyed their food so for that, I’ll say 3 stars, but I don’t think there’s any reason to come back.
Location: Good, Parking:Good, Service:Okay-, Food for Price:Balanced, Overall: This was a first time try and Norms has been around a long time. A favorite for many who enjoy watching the planes come in and take off with out too much noise. There is both inside and outside seating. Outside was chosen to see the planes. The place did seem pretty busy which was a good sign and someone was getting a birthday song which was also fun. Now getting a dirty coffee cup to drink out of is not fun and was identified and changed. The food did take a bit longer than I thought it should but due to it being busy I was kinda okay and again the planes were cool to watch. The food was well made and I did enjoy the biscuits and gravy. So yes I would like to try other items on the menu and bring others to give it a second go aeound.
Worst experience I’ve eved had at a restaurant. We took the kids here thinking it would be fun to see the planes take off. We got seated right away. Four tables after us were seated, every single one of those tables got their drinks ordered and food before our drink order was ever taken. At this point kids are getting restless. And it was clear they’re not fans of children. Our kids got up and ran down the stairs to the grass area that gives you a better view of planes taking off. The owner screamed at them for running, to the point that I had to jump in to protect them from her. I told her she needs to address concerns to the parents and not talk or curse at children the way she did. Food finally came, it was ok. Not terrible but not anything special. When it was time to leave my friend wanted to talk to the owner and the owner said she had nothing to say to her and walked away. When I tried to point out that they had us waiting for over an hour and naturally any child would get restless she acknowledged the bad service but then proceeded to get the entire restaurant involved by yelling to EVERY costumer ‘who here saw these children run?’ We told her it wasn’t necessary to include other guests and that was inappropriate. I told her this was my first time visiting as well as my last. She said she didn’t care and she can’t please everybody. The environment was fun, the costumer service was awful.. and the owner was as blatantly rude.. very clearly does not like children. Unless you want your child verbally abused, I highly recommend finding another restaurant.
