An incredible Italian twist on baked potatoes (jacket potatoes) in old town Lagos so much so my husband had to get 2 potatoes! Cant believe there aren’t more restaurants like this in London or Paris, absolutely delicious and great value for money. Call and make a reservation bc this place gets packed quick!
Didn’t expect to find the best baked potato of my life in Lagos, but here we are. Perfectly crispy skin, fluffy inside, and the toppings? Outrageously good. Super friendly staff and chill vibe. Came for dinner, stayed for dessert… which was another potato. No regrets.

This place is amazing! Any potato you choose will be so yummy! But let’s talk about the cheesecake OMG the best cheesecake I ever had. We had Carbonara, Almondega & Chili potato’s. So delicious.
Wirklich ein tolles Konzept. Kleine Auswahl, aber die ist wirklich überragend. Sowohl die Süßkartoffel mit Hähnchen, als auch die mit Fleischbällchen waren sehr lecker. Wenn wir wieder in Lagos sind, kommen wir auf jeden Fall wieder.
It was a very pleasant stay at Potato’s. We discovered that it had multiple seating areas, including a beautiful garden patio in the back. The food was hot, fresh and delicious. Our personal favourites were the Mediterranean and the Almondega with the Sweet Potatoes but the Classic Yellow Potatoe has a nice crisp to it, if you prefer that. We went there twice :) The waiter was attentive and so open/friendly! And if you’re a sweet thooth you should give the cheesecake or any other dessert of the day a go :) We will come back!
Abbiamo cenato in questo locale in occasione di una serata a Lagos. Il menu prevede una selezione di Jacket potatoes, quelle che abbiamo preso noi erano buonissime, e la cortesia e simpatia di Giovanni, nostro connazionale, ci hanno fatto venire voglia di tornarci!
Volevo scrivere una recensione a questo fantastico ristorante e leggendo le altre recensioni, per non scrivere sempre la stessa cosa, mi sono imbattuto in una recensione fatta ieri sera da una stella,dove in maniera molto maleducata questo ragazzo accusava il cameriere di essere stato maleducato! Io ero presente ero nel tavolo affianco e questo cliente è entrato con altro cibo comprato in un altro posto e lo mangiava tranquillamente seduto al tavolo, tra l’altro masticando con la bocca aperta e spargendo pop corn ovunque. Il cameriere si è avvicinato e molto gentilmente gli ha chiesto se poteva mettere da parte il cibo e mangiarlo dopo una volta finito la cena! Da quel momento questo ragazzo ha iniziato a trattare male il cameriere ad ogni occasione e poi gli ha fatto pure una recensione da una stella solo per il gusto di dare fastidio! La gente non sta bene di cervello! Consiglio altamente questo posto perché hanno portato una grande novità mia vista prima (almeno da me) il servizio molto cordiale e professionale ed il cibo, o mio dio, che buono! Se siete a Lagos venite qua!
In 2 abbiamo preso la Fresca e l'Almondega. Entrambe buonissime, prodotti davvero freschi e di altissima qualità. Le porzioni erano abbondanti, e in generale c'è un'ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. Giovanni ci ha accolto con gentilezza e simpatia. Consigliatissimo!
Je reste sans voix! C’était exceptionnel! Je n’avais pas prévu de manger là mais en passant devant le restaurant, deux clientes comblées m’ont dit qu’il fallait que je mange là! Le serveur Giovanni d’une extrême amabilité nous a servies avec soin! Les plats sont savoureux, copieux et la présentation mémorable. La viande était bien assaisonnée. Chapeau! Une vraie expérience portugaise.
We visited Potato’s and tried the Potato Frango and Doce Vida – both were absolutely excellent! The food was fresh, flavorful, and prepared with care. The service was friendly and attentive. We’ll definitely come back again – highly recommended!

Locale gestito da un ragazzo italiano molto simpatico. Il cibo è davvero delizioso e ad un prezzo ragionevole. Le patate vengono proposte in varie ricette. Tornerei sicuramente !! Consiglio
We had a great experience at Potato’S! It was our first stop while in Portugal. The potatoes and drinks were delicious, and server was friendly and attentive. Definitely a spot worth visiting if you’re in Lagos

Comida espectacular!!! Te transporta al corazón de Italia de una forma diferente, la comida está buenísima!!!!!! La atención de Giovanni inmejorable, nos explicó todo detalladamente y nos recomendó de fábula!!! Pedimos the rebel con patata normal y salsicha con boniato, volveremos segurísimo!!! Y muy buen precio!!
Increíble el trato y fue un gran descubrimiento. No os podéis ir sin probar la patata the Rebel, que nos la aconsejó el propietario y desde luego 10/10
Had a lovely evening meal here. Great size portions and really delicious. Very friendly waiter too. We had a baked potato and some batatas and they were both great. The hummus and sweet potato bread was also amazing, i’m still thinking about it!
Das Essen war super lecker. Wir hatten eine Kartoffel mit Ziegenkäse und eine mit Hähnchen und Feta. Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr nett und uns hat es sehr gut gefallen. Im Nachhinein wurden wir noch in die benachbarte Bar auf einen Shot eingeladen. Was man im ersten Moment nicht sieht, ist der hintere Teil mit mehr Sitzgelegenheiten und einem Innenliegenden Garten.
Wirklich ein sehr schöner Laden mit einem pfiffigen Konzept. Wurden herzlichst empfangen und auch gut und schnell bedient. Wir hatten die Kartoffeln Fresca und Mediternea und können diese nur empfehlen! Am Abend nur rechtzeitig da sein, es gibt nicht so viele Plätze im Allgemeine.

You HAVE to eat here if you are in Lagos. The food was sooooo incredible, my husband even ordered a second portion because we needed to try more. The host/owner was extremely friendly and made the atmosphere that much better. Highly recommend. This restaurant had only been open for 4 days when we ate there but I can bet they have many more 5 stars reviews in the future. 💕 from two very happy Canadians
Another great addition to the restaurant options in Lagos. A must try. Definitely unique food offering, but all the better for that. Variety of options. taste, service and ambience all first class. A few seating options ( outside, front , middle and garden at the back). Beautiful clean tasty food , presented just as it appears in the menu. We have been visiting Lagos for over 15 years, Potato'S will be a regular on our future trips. Give it a try. You won't regret it.
Es war sehr lecker. Eine wirklich tolle Art Kartoffeln zuzubereiten. Wir hatten „The Rebel“ and „Frango“ und waren super zufrieden. Muss man echt mal ausprobieren! Der Service ist erstklassig und super! Auch das Ambiente ist so gut. ☺️ Danke für das super leckere Essen! 🫶

The atmosphere is super cute and the service is incredibly friendly! If you feel like a drink, stop by next door :) I highly recommend the frozen mango margarita!
La formule est vraiment attrayante, offrant le choix entre une base de pomme de terre 🥔ou de patate douce🥜. Les ingrédients sont excellents( même les plus difficiles ont trouvé leurs bonheur). Le résultat est délicieux, satisfaisant toutes les papilles. De plus, le service est impeccable, avec un personnel vraiment au sommet👌qui parle Italien et Anglais( tres peux Français). C'est une expérience culinaire que je recommande vivement si vous êtes de passage à Lagos.

Vanavond heerlijk gegeten. Aardappelen in een feestelijk jasje . Super lekker. Het toetje was super van smaak. En de bediening was hoffelijk. Een aanrader. En we keken vreemd op toen de wijn in een beker werk geschonken. Het bleek een Portugeese traditie te zijn. Dank jullie wel.
Concept très malins. Les plats sont copieux, bons et variés même s'il y a toujours de la pomme de terre. On retrouve les saveurs italiennes ainsi que des plats gourmands selon notre choix. Le service est parfait avec un serveur très sympathique. Le seul point à améliorer serait les desserts, le cheesecake est bon mais un peu lourd. Une glace ou un sorbet pour clôturer ce dîner serait parfait. Il reste tout de même le meilleur restaurant que j'ai fait à Lagos !
O restaurante está bem localizado e apresenta uma ementa fora do comum, o que chama logo à atenção. O ambiente é tranquilo e os empregados de mesa de uma simpatia extrema, muito atenciosos. A comida é muito saborosa! Recomendo muito!!

Die überbackenen Kartoffeln sind ein absoluter Traum – cremig, perfekt gewürzt und mit so viel Liebe zubereitet, dass man es bei jedem Bissen schmeckt. ❤️ Die Atmosphäre ist warm und gemütlich, und das Team super freundlich und aufmerksam. Man fühlt sich sofort willkommen. Ebenfalls zu empfehlen ist der Wein Verde (grün).
Totaal onverwacht mega lekker! We hadden te weinig honger, energie en zin om naar een volledig restaurant te gaan dus kwamen we hier terecht. Eerst een beetje sceptisch want hoe kan een aardappeltent nou zó goed zijn, maar we waren al snel overtuigd. Glutenvrij was er veel mogelijk (zo goed als alles) dus dat was heel fijn! Mijn vriend had de carbonara versie en ik de kip in tomatensaus variant. Ondanks dat beiden fantastisch waren, gaf mijn vriend aan de volgende keer ook de kip te nemen. Echt enorm genoten en de ober was ook erg gezellig en vriendelijk!Daarnaast ook goed betaalbaar, dus wat wil je nog meer?

Also the waiter was really friendly and nice. Great ambience as well, its cozy and well arranged. Don't hesitate to eat here, you surely won't regret it.

Fantastische Idee, sowas leckeres aus Kartoffeln zu machen. Ein einzigartiges Konzept. Es sind quasi "loaded Ofenkartoffeln" mit ausgefallenen Kombinationen. Man kann zwischen normaler Kartoffel und Süßkartoffel wählen. Der aus Italien stammende Kellner hat uns hervorragend beraten und man hat gemerkt, dass er für diese Idee brennt. Wir haben uns für "Rebel" (quasi Carbonara) und "Almondega" (Meatballs in Tomatensoße mit Mozzarella und Pesto) entschieden und beide waren hervorragend. Tolle Abwechslung zur Meeresfrüchte-Küche, wenn man mehrere Tage in Lagos ist!

Loved it! The Service was super friendly and the Place had such a cool and cozy vibe. The portions are so generous and it was very very delicious!

In general I really like staffed baked potatoes, so I was happy to find the stylish restaurant with this concept. But I tried 2 different dishes here and the taste was quite average. The potatoes were hardly warm, not hot like from oven.
