I am so thankful for Octavio’s. We hosted an Italian themed deployment party for our daughter on a Sunday. We LOVE Octavio’s cannolis. I called them to request an order knowing the party started before they opened. The manager wanted the quality to be perfect and came in EARLY on Sunday so our friends and family would have the freshest cannolis possible. Then upon hearing our daughter was being deployed, she wrote the sweetest note on the order. I cannot express what these acts of kindness meant to me and my family. We are forever grateful and will recommend Octavio’s ever chance we get.

Daughter and s-i-l have been raving about Ottavio's BBQ chicken pizza for more than a year. I was prepared for a let down. The pizza did not disappoint. We also had the Ottavio's favorite with fennel sausage. Both tasty with an extra slice of each left over for breakfast tomorrow. Taylor was our prompt, courteous, and attentive server. Great job!

Came in for dinner with the family this evening, Taylor helped us out .....we were seated fairly quickly. This is maybe the third time we've been here, the food and service is always great. Tonight was no different. My daughter has named this her favorite restaurant , I do have to say though while she does love the food she equally enjoys the fact that she's given a small piece of dough to play with. Food was great tonight and Taylor was awesome, super friendly, patient and made us feel very comfortable. Thank you Taylor

First time trying Ottavio's and we're definitely going to make it a regular spot, the wife had the short ribbon ravioli which of course I had to taste, it's as good as it sounds, I had the fennel sausage calzone which was bigger than expected but it tasted fantastic even though I could only put down a quarter of it. Would recommend to anyone looking for an Italian spot in East County.

Seafood marinara was delicious and fresh. Calzone was huge. Tomato basil soup was also good. Love the brussel sprouts. Friendly and efficient staff.

Wandering in Paradise

We had a magical dinner at Ottavio’s! We went on a Friday night and had to wait 40 minutes due to how busy it is, the weather was good so wasn’t too bad a wait. We sat on the dog friendly patio which was really nice. We started with the garlic bread and Brussel sprouts, and for entrees the rigatoni Ottavio’s (the cheese is amazing) and penne alla vodka. The service is quick and very friendly. Definitely recommend, great family friendly Italian restaurant.

A small, intimate restaurant with good service and delicious food. We heard rave reviews for years, and are so happy we finally tried it! The gluten-free options are the best I have found in East County. The meat sauce is flavorful with just the right amount of meat. The Alfredo is scrumptious! The chicken marsala was unique, with a flavor a bit on the sweet side. There was a hearty portion of chicken and mushrooms in the dish. The spumoni is a must-have dessert. Highly recommend this restaurant if you want a fantastic Italian meal.

We opted to dine on the patio and it was perfect. It was a misty cool evening but with the awning and heaters, it was perfect. The service was excellent as well. I drank my Blood Orange beer before I got a photo of the full glass, but it was cold and the orange flavor refreshing. The menu has plenty of options including vegan dishes. I chose the Sicilian Feast which includes Lasagna, Spaghetti and Fettuccine Alfredo. December 2023 the serving was large enough for 2 to share and priced at $24 and I felt it was a reasonable price for the serving size. Complimentary foccacia, oil and vinegar are a nice addition. My husband opted for the Spaghetti and Meatball. This was also a nice portion, suited for 1. We will be back.

Portions are generous. They start you off with a delicious basket of focaccia. We had the linguine with white clam sauce and it was delicious. And we also ordered a deluxe pizza that was the best pizza I've had! David, our waiter was very attentive and courteous. The other wait staff was also helpful. All the servers worked as a cohesive team. Overall a great dining experience.

Very good Italian in Lakeside. Not everyone makes a good arrancini, and Ottavios is among the best I've had. Their portions are ample, the flavors are very good and the bar serves substantial cocktails with a lively atmosphere. Those who grew up in Lakeside in the 60-70's remember Sam's Pizza House with Sam, Mary and Anthony Manescalco. And you remember Mary's Antipasto Salad. Until now if I wanted a salad like that I had to make it. Check out Ottavio's. It looks like a hot mess but it eats like Mary's. That alone is worth a stop.

Food is very bland. Garlic bread is good but a bit over toasted which makes it seem like a giant crouton kinda hard around the edges. I picked up the order and it remained hot till I got home. I like the square foil containers. I will order again.

I called for info & was informed you opened for business at 3 pm. We arrived at your business at 3 pm. Trying to enter, 2 staff were in parking lot and informed us the restaurant would open at 4 pm. We were not about to sit in your parking lot waiting that extra hr. I suggest you correct the Google account with correct time. This is the second time we attempted to eat in your establishment and find the time listed was incorrect.. Poor customer info. Wonder how long your business will exist with incorrect information. We will no longer visit your restaurant.
