Enjoy coming to this restaurant in Santee. Plenty of parking and in a nice area not too busy and crowded. We came during lunch hour and it was busy but our server, Cheryl, was amazing and attentive. We ordered the medium pizza with Meatball and pepperoni along with antipasta salad, Buffalo wings, and ice cream for the kiddos. Overall very satisfied with the food and service. A great place to enjoy some good Italian food 😋

Absolutely incredible. The food the atmosphere just fantastic. My goddaughter her friend her dad and myself had a thoroughly awesome experience. The menu is quite extensive and all of it is delicious. I highly recommend you experience Flippi's pizza grotto for yourself

Casual, friendly and cozy place with great service. Marinara/pizza sauce is phenominal. A bit too much (also phenominal) cheese on pizza. Thin crust option could be thinner, but still really good.

The good was really delicious but if you compare to the one in Little Italy, then it's not as good. Would definitely return though because of the convenience and great service.

Picked up a pizza to go, the staff was super nice and friendly. The pizza was good but like others have mentioned very heavy on cheese. Overall I would go back good price and food.

The pizza is really good here. The service for pick up can be a bit slow but did I mention that the pizza is good. We got the 1/2 pepperoni 1/2 veggie and really enjoyed it. My wife also got their spaghetti and she really enjoyed it. Call ahead for to go orders and If you are quoted 30 minutes allow for 45. Enjoy!

The service is very good the waiter gave me a cup of coke its a cool vibe here. the food kinda needs more flavor they have very large portions here be mindful to either share it or eat it later at home. and very plenty of space here and very cool place but overall, the vibes are good friendly staff and the foods not my favorite not trying to be rude.

Pizza is always great but it's getting really old having to pay 5-6 dollars for a little extra sauce. My wife likes lots of sauce but I don't so we don't ask for heavy sauce . You would think when spending roughly 40 dollars on 1 Pizza they can give you a little extra sauce. She only eats 1.5 slices of pizza so it's not like I'm asking for a jar full.

Not sure what happened to the pizza here, I don’t mind paying around $27 for a medium but when it’s just pepperoni and I am eating a slice and only had one pepperoni on my slice there’s a problem. Hardly no sauce on it like I remember and it just didn’t taste as we remember. I paid $55 for two medium pizza’s and we were not impressed anymore. That’s too bad it used to be our favorite.

I was in a rush heading to work but I figured it wouldn’t take too long but Italian food usually takes a while. I chose the small lasagna, and it didn’t take too long. Thank goodness I didn’t tip because remember… this was to go. Most places put plastic silverware and napkins in to go food. This however was not the case with this place. But I always have my trusty camping spoon/fork when things like this happen. They also gave me bread (a side item), and I didn’t ask for it. I also made the pictures of the bread black/white to show how sad it looked. This bread 🥖 didn’t have garlic.. or garlic salt.. no butter melted inside or on it. It was the most boring loaf I’ve ever seen, and I tried it but it wasn’t great. Though, I finally ate the lasagna and it wasn’t too bad. Great balance of sauce and cheese, but it didn’t seem authentic. Maybe I’ll have a different experience dining in and having a pizza.

Food is overpriced and not good. Pizza's are too thick and greasy. They're not sliced all the way and they overdo with the toppings. The quality is not the same as it was before.

⭐☆☆☆☆ (1 star) I had a very upsetting experience at Filippi’s and will never return. I dined inside the restaurant and ate pizza there. I felt fine at the time, but later that night I became very sick with what I believe was food poisoning. The symptoms didn’t show up until hours later. I contacted the restaurant and spoke with the manager. It was difficult to get her to call me back, and when she finally did, her attitude was dismissive and annoyed. She said she “wasn’t supposed to do this” and that I could “get in trouble,” but that they would reimburse only the cost of the pizza, not the full bill, and would include a free slice of cheesecake if I came in in person to pick it up. Still feeling sick two days later, I went in to collect the refund. The manager told me to wait while she grabbed the cheesecake. When I got home, I gave the cheesecake to my wife and child—but before they ate it, I noticed the bag smelled strange. I opened the container and was shocked to see that the cheesecake was frozen and had visible mold on it. It looked like it had been frozen for a very long time. At that point, I threw it away immediately. I didn’t call back or return to the restaurant again. Whether this was retaliation or something else, it was completely unacceptable and deeply concerning from a food safety standpoint. And I totally forgot to take pictures of the disgusting cheesecake. Filippi’s has lost my business for life. Please eat here at your own risk.

What a shame! Our family has enjoyed this franchise for decades. WARNING: Make sure to inspect your food very thoroughly before exiting with it, you never know what might or might not be in there!! Needless to say, we've taken our last trip to this place. After speaking with management I am even more displeased with my experience. You win lady, I am not going to waste any more of my time by driving myself and my family back there so you can issue me a store credit. Vincent and Madeleine DePhilippi would be ashamed with what you've done with their names this evening!! The place was completely filthy as well. I only popped into the front area to grab my order (or portion thereof) and it was sticky and dingy. ZERO STARS!!!

Disgusting and grossly overpriced!!!! We ordered from this restaurant for the first and LAST time tonight. We paid $11.80 for a side order of italian sausage that only came with "One" sausage and most restaurants come with two. The sausage had absolutely NO flavor or taste and tasted like it had been frozen forever and was microwaved before serving it. The lasagna and ONE meatball dinner was mediocre. Consumers BEWARE, this restaurant is grossly overpriced and their food is AWFUL!
