Plates On The Park was one of our favorite restaurants for years, but then we moved abroad, and when we came back, COVID hit and Plates closed. This year, I planned to host a law school reunion in May at my home and needed help with food options for 25 adults/kids, so I was very happy to find Plates Catering. Thank you, Chef Matt Karp, for the great BBQ menu recommendations. Everyone was raving about the food. My kids probably ate most of the tomato/avocado toasts (thankfully, there was still quite a bit of the avocado puree leftover for me to make more the next day); there were no Korean wings, crab cakes, ribs, or fried chicken left; fish tacos were delicious (leftovers were great for dinner the next day, together with the salad); and the fruit salad disappeared, along with most of the cookies. (Extra bonus: I used the extra Korean BBQ sauce to make wings one night for dinner and got thumbs up all around.) And the person who delivered the food was very helpful in giving me guidance on what went with which sauce, how to assemble the toasts, setting up my chafing trays, etc. So thank you to Chef Matt and Plates Catering for making my life easier and for making our party a success!

Love plates! Been multiple times and had my engagement party here. Bread is fresh baked, fried chicken was delicious, bottomless bbq was yummy, and the ring ding is my favorite dessert (although the donut, ice cream, and pie were all yummy and big portions). Cocktails were delicious and inventive and very good wine list.

Fried chicken is next level! Matt did NOLA-themed trays for us which were absolutely perfect. So delicious!

Amazing food, cozy relaxed atmosphere, inventive menu and great service makes this the best restaurant in Larchmont and Westchester.

They were extremely helpful and responsive when it came to figuring out how best to execute our desired menu according to our scale and budget, as well as guiding us through all necessary steps and considerations for our event's set up--at moments even putting in a little extra time beyond what we had originally contracted them for. The attention to detail put into the food and its presentation was evident long before it was even ready to serve, which really played a huge part in bringing this very special day together for myself, my spouse, and my beloved guests. At every step of the process, Plates was fully committed to making our event one that our guests would not forget. Most importantly, the food was absolutely spectacular: our guests repeatedly sang its praises, long after serving time had wrapped up. I would without a doubt turn to Plates again for any future events, and they would be the first choice I would recommend to anyone looking for an excellent caterer in the area (and honestly as far as they would be willing to work within the Tri-State area). The expanded menu and happy hour are a strong draw. Get the Reuben!

The wait staff was very good, but the menu was not very interesting, I ended up having a pizza as a result.

The stars are for the service and the fries. The food was ok. The fall salad was dull; the rib eye was delicious, however over half of it was bone and fat. The wings were not tasty, the side, kimchi, was three little pieces of putrid tasting cabbage. At least the bread was good. Oh, and they charge you 20% gratuity as a part of the bill, which is unusual and not proper on the restaurant's behalf. The kitchen kind of messed up on an order but it was fixed (it took like 30 minutes though ). Prices are way too high for the quality of the food bill was over $300 for 7 people (including the $50 gratuity charge). Wouldn't recommend unless you want to overpay for mediocre food. Overall the idea is cute but was not thoroughly planned or created.

The add they had on there website was misleading people to believe that they have a $65 prix fixe for Valentine's day dinner. I automatically thought it refers to a party of 2 like I see other people writing reviews on open table did. It was $65 for one person but the most outrageous was the fact that the waiter suggested us to get the $10 pasta for my daughter. Initially I decided to have some pasta for myself that I knew my daughter could eat. Following the advice of the waiter we had the $10 pasta for kids which came with a $15 "price adjustment" a total of $25 for some pasta with butter and $150 ($65x2+cups of tea) for me and my wife. No wine, just 2 appetizer, 2 main courses, 2 cups of tea, 1 desert. Disappointing overall, food was good but not great with emphasis on the big portion size and not on quality, chocolate on the "ring ding" dessert was rock solid literally.
