The food was excellent! We had the lobster crepe to start and our entrees were the woven shrimp and the wagu burger with the soup of the day. Everything came out in a timely manner and was very yummy. The atmosphere was perfect for a nice Friday dinner date. I definitely recommend!

Long Flight, lots of options near my hotel, but Azur had the most interesting menu and I’m so happy I chose here to dine. The Pimento Cheese Fritters with the Peach Chutney were delightful and the Khan Khan Pork Chop (pictured) was one of the best dishes I’ve had in a long time! Service is top notch…ask for Sarah. Chef Nate stopped over to ask how I enjoyed the meal which is always a plus! If your in Lexington, KY, don’t hesitate to dine here :)

We started with the calamari fries which were very good and I order calamari almost everywhere we dine. I had the Original Bourbon Fried Chicken and was very happy with that choice. My daughter ordered the Seafood Risotto thought it was very good. My wife ordered the Sea Scallops which she often does. She thought they were amount the best she had. My son-in-law had the Grilled Angus Ribeye. He thought it was prepared very well. The service was excellent. Overall we were e Ty happy with this meal and will be back!

We had the crab cake appetizer which was AMAZING!! I had the shrimp entre and my husband ordered salmon. Very, very, good! I would like to come back and try something different. My dessert was absolutely delicious and the highlight of the meal for me!

This place was off the charts INCREDIBLE! Let me start with the fact that I have a severe peanut allergy, and the Chefs were able to accommodate that with absolutely no problems. Everything was so far beyond my expectations. I recently ate downtown at Jeff Ruby's and it was $250 with the tip and I would gladly trade that food for this food every single time and this food was literally half that price. The Bruschetta was for sure the best that I have ever had and the Mozzerella Chicken was insane. There will be pictures to follow. I cannot say enough good things. The wait staff was kind and courteous, management was visibly walking around and ACTUALLY looking and listening to what people had to say. This was an unexpectedly refreshing experience. I will be back here soon. Thank you for the best dining experience that I have had in a long time Azur!

AZUR is great for dinner as well as brunch. We were a larger than average party eating there at a peak time during graduation weekend and the service remained exemplary. Combine that with live music, a wide variety of well-crafted dishes, and a delightful cocktail list. We will certainly be visiting again!

Seriously great dining experience for a very reasonable price. We had the salmon served over Parmesan risotto with asparagus topped with a balsamic reduction- salmon cooked to perfection, great flavor on the risotto. My husband had strawberry creme stuffed French toast with a thick slice of applewood bacon and chocolate swirl- nothing short of amazing. The French toast was light and fluffy, definitely recommend. I don’t know where other reviewers are getting the “pricey” factor from because this was a great meal for both of us for less than $40. They also have a huge patio area and are conveniently located right off New Circle. Our server was awesome too!!!!

Definitely five star place! I forgot to take the pictures before I cut the pork chop. I chose well done for the temperature, the pork was still so juicy and tender! And 5+ stars for the service, they show the respect to the customers. I'll go back more times with my friends👍👍👍

Great food! The woven shrimp is excellent. The brussel sprouts and truffle fries were also wonderful. The menu has something for everyone. The patio is great weather permitting.

Our server, Kelsey was very attentive and hospitable. Food was fresh and amazing. I've never had a fruit salad made from such a thoughtful selection of local produce. Today was figs! If I were to make one suggestion, it would be to offer more GF selections. However- I was very happy with what I chose. We're coming from Georgetown but we'd like to check out dinner here sometime.

Brianna did a great job and was friendly. The atmosphere was festive and lively without being chaotic and loud. Food is imaginative and well prepared. Would highly recommend it to friends.

Came tonight with dinner with friends and really enjoyed the atmosphere. The food was amazing!! Started with truffle fries and then had a Caesar salad with blackened chicken. Best place for our girls night. Kimberlee was also such a wonderful waitress as well.

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal, savoring every bite of the delectable dishes. The music played by a gentleman added a touch of elegance to the atmosphere. While the service was not as prompt as we would have liked, it did not detract from the overall enjoyment of our dining experience, which was elevated by the excellent food and charming ambiance.

First time having brunch at Azur. We sat on the patio and it was a nice morning for it. I ordered the Bourbon fried chicken French toast. It was a great blend of sweet and savory. My husband got more of a traditional breakfast of bacon, eggs and biscuit. His food was good but I kept thinking it was a bit on the pricey side for it to be a breakfast dish that you could get anywhere that serves breakfast. (Perhaps that’s just his fault for not trying something a little more unique to this restaurant.) The service was good and overall, we enjoyed our experience enough that I would definitely go back to try dinner sometime.

My first visit (!) to Azur fell during the inaugural Food News and Chews Chicken Sandwich Week, which was devised in-part by none other than Head Chef Jeremy Ashby. There were only three sandwiches in the line-up that I HAD to try, and this was the perfect one to kick off the week. The Orange Honey Butter and Red Chili Glazed and Dipped Fried Chicken Sandwich with lettuce, gouda cheese, pickles, and smoked garlic mayo was nothing short of perfection! Albeit very sticky and messy to eat with all those components, but I wouldn't change even a single element. Did I mention it was perfect? Our table opted to start the meal with the Smoked Salmon and Artichoke Dip appetizer, which was rich, flavorful, and just plain DIVINE! Apparently it was also one of the newer items on the menu, and the the housemade flatbread chips it came with were crispy, layered, and perfectly fried. I could eat this entire meal again, if I'm being honest. 4/5 in our group ordered the chicken sandwich, but the one who did not absolutely raved about her salad with grilled salmon. Every portion was about 50% bigger than what you'd expect at most restaurants, so the prices were more than fair. My only qualm, and the reason this review is missing one star, is the sub-par service. I won't say it was bad, but it was most certainly not good. Our reservation was at 7:30, so I get that the volume of diners before us was probably overwhelming, but it was evident that our server did not want to be there anymore. I can't convey her attitude appropriately with words, but when she brought out a brussel sprout salad that we did not order, I'm fairly certain she took it back to the kitchen, removed the beets, and brought it back out posing as the table-sized portion of brussel sprouts we ordered as a side. When my boyfriend was finished with his beer he requested another, then waited almost 20 minutes for her to acknowledge that she hadn't brought it, begrudgingly. If she had been even a tiny bit nicer, this would EASILY be a 5-star review. I can't wait to come back and try something from the extensive regular menu (and hopefully improve this review)!

I had calamai fries as a starter. It says lightly fried but I was disappointed that it was hard fried like a drive through restarant and the calamari was so overdone, it was actually tough. Although they took it back to the kitchen, i also found their ancient grains salad to be bland and unbalanced. It had a sweet flavor but sweetness has to be balanced with salt or some tangyness. And my salmon was over salted. Sadly not as great as I expected. Otherwise, it was a nice atmosphere. It just didn't meet expectations

Fat Man Reviews

Over the weekend, Fat Man Reviews ventured to Azur Restaurant and Patio in Lexington, KY. Azur is a chef driven bistro offering locally sourced food in a stylish American eatery. My fiancé tried the Lavender Ginger Lemonade, made with Tito's Vodka, lemon juice, lavender honey and ginger ale. It was lemon heavy, tart with a lot of soda. I had the Maple & Oak. This drink is made with maple syrup, orange peel and Reagan's orange bitters muddled together and Four Roses. It was all bourbon with a slight orange smell. We tried the Pimento Cheese Fritters, fried pimento cheese balls and bourbon peach chutney. The fritters were fried well, and the cheese was creamy. The peach chutney was ice-cold and tasted like peach preserves with a lot of cinnamon. It did not compliment the fritters when combined. My fiancé ordered the 12oz French Pork Chop. This was served with macaroni and cheese and sugar snap peas, not what is on the online menu. The pork chop was cooked and seasoned really well. It was juicy and very tasty. The peas had a nice crunch. The macaroni was overcooked, and the cheese sauce was grainy, it needed some seasoning. I ordered a Caesar Salad ahead of my entrée. This was made with romaine hearts, black pepper, Caesar dressing, grated Parmesan cheese and cornbread croutons. The dressing had a heavy lemon taste. It was good but very thin. The Parmesan was very fine and mixed with the dressing and became clumpy. The cornbread croutons were mostly burnt. For my entrée I had the Ahi Tuna. This is served with seared tuna, cooked to order(rare), Chinatown pork dumplings and chopstick spinach salad with a lemon-ginger sauce. The salad was fantastic as was the dressing. The dumplings were cold and lacked seasoning. The tuna was tough to cut and chew. It had a heavy pepper taste but required salt. There was an orange sauce served with the dish that was very orange, sweet and tangy, but it did not help the dish. Azur has a relaxed atmosphere and a great patio. They serve brunch on the weekends and have a full bar but no draft beers. The Fat Man says that Azur Restaurant and Patio is Not Fat Man Approved.
