Have not had any for ages. The food was delicious 😋 my favorite is the dirty rice and fried okra. Ummm. The rolls are still in a class by themselves as well as the tea!

Ordered the chicken salad sandwich, it was awesome! Piled high with chunky chicken salad sandwiched between two yeast rolls! Had to go all the way to Liberty hill, since the one in Marble falls closed. It was certainly worth the trip!

We ordered the family tender dinner. The fried okra was a favorite and the portions of the sides was very large. The chicken and fries were hot and crispy. This was our first visit since the change from Chicken Express. We will be back. 🙂

Stopped at Golden Chick in Liberty Hill on my way to visit my in-laws. The staff was friendly and went out of their way to make our dinner amazing. The chicken was fresh and the fries were delicious. Overall a great place. Looking forward to stopping again in the future.

The chicken is always good. Free ice cream if you are coming in. Have even parked our 36' trailer on a side (with permission), while dining in. They have been very accommodating.

One thing I can say about Golden Chick is I have never had a bad experience at any location. I absolutely love their dark meat Fried Chicken and fried okra. They are the only chicken place that I can find that has fried okra and that sells me every single time! Not to mention some of the workers can put chicken in a box faster than anyone I've ever seen! I appreciate them always having good okra and their mashed potatoes are to die for as well. All around great food!

Of all the Golden Chicks I've been to this one is my favorite. Fast and friendly, dining room is almost never busy.

Quick service and they always throw and extra tender in. Not five stars because often times they forget to replace my gravy with ranch when asked. Aside from that it’s good.

Food was fantastic but, restaurant was very understaffed and wait time was long. It's really hard to critique a fast food restaurant right now but this wasn't "fast food". Lobby was out of napkins, ice, and ketchup. However staff was working hard and the food was on point. I'll be back.

Food is always hot and fresh. They do sometimes miss sides, so be sure to check your order before leaving. Same when using Uber Eats.

I ordered two different chicken sandwiches to see which one I liked better and sadly they were both drowning in this orange sauce that filled up and covered the bottom of the tray. I don't know if they were pranking somebody or if they just wanted to be buttheads, but be careful ordering here,...,.,... Today I went back and utilized the chicken sandwich credit provided and it was truly exceptional. The Nashville hot sandwich is super delicious and I suggest everyone try it.

The place looked about the same as when it had been a Chicken Express. The signs had changes but no much else. The staff was very nice and the place was very clean, especially for a Saturday night. The food was good and hot. Prices were higher than Chicken Express when you figured the amount of food. We asked for different combinations of pieces than the ones offered on the menue and did not have a problem or extra expence. Not many choices for types of sides. Although they do have dirty rice one of my favorites. Also free ice cream. All in all a nice addition to Liberty Hill.

I love the rolls that the Chick has they will always get me to be a customer just for that reason! The cashier was in a hurry and tried to rush us but I took my time. When the order came she just handed it to us we had to ask for our drinks. Even though the impatience of the cashier it still not enough to persuade us to go elsewhere.

Buffalo chicken (6 piece) to spicy hot. My only order. Had to wait and park after order. 3 cars behind me got their order from window.

The service at the window was good but when I got home, the roasted chicken pieces were so small...it was hard to justify spending over 10 bucks on 3 pieces of tiny chicken.....

I'd give them more stars if they had Malt Vinegar for the catfish. It really sucks to miss out on that

Fried chicken was very good. Backed chicken wasn't very good. Pieces were smaller than fried pieces. "World's best fries" were not very good.

Service is always hit or miss. Ordered a combo and a kids meal and had to wait almost 10 minutes at the window for my food. There was nobody ahead of me, by the way. Love their chicken, but that's a lot to ask for such slow fast food service. Everytime I've been here, it's the same story. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Food was good and fresh, but employees not so friendly. Cashier messed up the order not once, but twice. Maybe because it was towards closing time, and she was tired. 🤷‍♀️ I will definitely return, because Golden Chick is still the best and my favorite chicken place!

I love this more then chicken express so fresh tasty won over my loyalty for sure the chicken is # bomb addictive crunch juicy freshness everything looks so clean in there and omg raspberry lemonade is great drink with it to! However the dirty rice made me puke and I kept the recite! Dont get the dirty rice !!! Unless ur trying to get sick.. after 2 day going changed my mind about some side choices...

This is one of the cleanest places I have eaten at. I was not impressed with the food. Gravy seemed a bit watered down, chicken was extra greasy and the meat dry. Mac and cheese was chunky and blah. Fried okra was pretty good only a few pieces tasted green. My kids enjoyed the ice cream . Over all, I will give it 3 stars. 5 for it being clean, 2 for food. I will possibly give it another try in the future, because my experiences at Golden Chicks overall have been great!

Some of the food is good but their coleslaw tastes horrible. Most of the places I've visited that has coleslaw tasted great with flavor but that's the only flaw in Golden chick is the coleslaw. No sweet flavor or any flavor really. Check them out and experience it yourselves and then give your opinion. This is only my opinion.

Food is ok..pretty decent but they didn't add the zing sauce which I asked for like 3 times. 🙄 gave me gravy instead. The only thing that makes the food better is the zing sauce so to drive back home knowing they didn't listen and now my food is bland is very annoying. I didn't pay $40 for THIS.

We compared Golden Chick to Church's, which we eat regular. We can say, Golden Chicks quality has dropped.The roll you get is a total joke. The buttered biscuit you get at Church's, is hot and very good. The skin is hard not juicy and pleasant to eat like Church's. Another negative is, I wanted spicy chicken. They just sprinkle something hot on top of the crust, really bad. Church's fries their spicy in the batter, very good. I thank both for the Senior Discount, much appreciated!

Meh….First timer, not impressed. Ordered a family strip meal and got one fork, asked for dipping sauces and got a single pack of siracha, chicken was cold, as was the okra. Not sure we’ll be back tbh.

ManagerSally, who was the rudest, most unprofessional employee, much less a manager!!.. really!! she will cause the demise of this location and cause the loss of customer's and employees. I highly recommend dismissal, she is toxic.

By far, the worst chicken I have had.... Golden chick should have never been put there! The chicken I got was dry, hard, and tasted awful! The only good thing they have, is sweet tea...

They have TVs to watch but play country music on the intercom so you cant hear the t.v. at least put on closed captions. Ran out of forks and forgot to give me a bisket for my 6 piece tender plate. Gave me a side of gravy with no mashed potatoes. The best thing they have going is free ice cream for dine in.

I’ve been to this location several times when I come out to liberty Hill to go to work, and every single time they’ve messed up something in my order. I don’t ask for much all I ask, is just to get the food that I paid for

Some of the food is actually good (rolls, corn nuggets, the fries maybe if they were ever fresh and not chilling under the ol' lizard lamp) but the service is amazingly bad, like world record-breakingly bad, to the point where it loops around and is slightly hilarious. And yet I keep coming back, because the corn nuggets are the greatest fast food invention ever.

The roast chicken was good. BUT they got my order wrong, the okra, rolls, and funnel cakes were all hard as rocks due to being over cooked. The mac & cheese tasted strange. Like plastic or something. $40 on food that my family wouldn't/ couldn't eat. Would have been 1 star if not for the chicken being good.

Decided to try them out and compare their chicken strips family meal to Chicken Express. CE is way better! All breading and hardly any meat on them! The mashed potatoes were soupy, so was the gravy. The only highlight were the rolls.

Went through the drive thru for dinner on Sunday around 5pm. The chicken was old tasting and the rolls were not fresh. The fries were ok. This is the same reason we stopped going when the Chicken Express was at this location. No consistancy with the quality of food. My wife said it may have been due to the time of day. In my opinion, there shouldn't be a bad time of day. If you're open for business then serve fresh food. 2 stale stars for quality.

I wanted a bone-in fried chicken meal but that didn't show up on the online menu. So I got 16 tenders, green beans, mashed potatoes and an extra order of 6 rolls... For $45! The tenders were small, over cooked and tough. The family size side provided 4 small portions of potatoes/ green beans. I ordered online and picked up in store. I checked my order in the car and returned inside for the green beans that had been left out of the bag. Overall I was left feeling like it definitely was not worth the price.

Ordered chicken sandwich to go. Got back to my office, about 5 miles away, opened up sandwich and found it to be "thrown together", with half the chicken meat hanging off the side of the bun, and cheese all over the place. Never again.

Chicken was spoiled and water down gravy and bad service really disrespectful when you call and let them know about it. Will never get my money again.

Pretty sad day when i'm leaving a review about a chicken place, terribly rude staff in the drive through and I will not be back.. To be very specific the older lady that works the drive through window and lunch and wears a mask. If that's the face of your establishment you're going to have major problems with customer retention

Horrible experience I ordered a two piece combo that came with a dry old wing that should’ve been thrown away already and an undercooked thigh where You could still see the white uncooked batter underneath crust and chicken was purple I’m never eating here again and do not recommend!

just ordered the cod filet, the first one was inedible either freezer burned, over cooked or just passed the expiration date. I was given another piece just barely better. I had to take two bites through the batter to get to the fish.

I ordered a three piece catfish for lunch today. What I received was three half cut filets. After being breaded and fried they were thinner than my coworkers order of chicken tenders and more expensive. Please avoid the catfish. It's a huge rip-off.

Got my order wrong and when I had them correct it, the okra was not very good. Tasted like it had been sitting there for a while and they dropped it back in the grease to reheat it. Ugh

This golden chick just isn't as good as the leander, texas location. I ordered my husband and I food and pull up to pay and they are grabbing chicken strips, fried okra, fried catfish, and even fries from boxes that are under a heat lamp. I'm sorry but your fries aren't any good under a heat lamp nor is catfish or strips.

Paid 14 bucks for a chicken strip 6 piece combo and got the tiniest pieces of chicken ive ever seen. Took 15 minutes despite there only being 3 people in line, and they forgot to give me a fork with my order.

I ordered a tender meal with seasoning packets & a kids meal with Mac & cheese. When I was handed the bag i didn't see any seasoning packets. And while I was double checking that they didn't put it in one of the boxes I noticed that my daughters kids meal had fries instead of the Mac & cheese I had requested. I waited until a young man came to the window & opened it without saying anything. I informed him of the mistake, he made me open the box & lift up the roll. Then he shut the window & walked away. A few moments lady another lady came to the window stating "You didn't order Mac & cheese". Really?! I hope when you're throwing away the extra Mac & cheese & 10 cents worth of a kids cup you realize it costed you a customer. I then said I had asked for spice packets & didn't get those either. She handed me 2. With the way that LH is expanding it won't be long before there's another option. Until then if we want to-go chicken we'll make the drive elsewhere.

Got my wife's order wrong originally, told her they'd comp it the next time she came back. So we came back and reordered, they said they'd give her the whole meal they messed up. We paid for mine but then they said her drink was replaced by Mac and cheese that she never asked for???? There's already a huge line at this point so we had to pay again for another drink just to be done with it. They can't get an order right ever and they're not very good at making it right obviously. Also, even when you ask for silverware you're lucky to get a spoon 🤷

Went into lobby ordered large family meal with three sides. Get home and only have chicken and rolls in the bag, no sides! Called the store, girl giggled when I told her that's all I made it home with. This has happened many times, but never missing this much of my order. I think the store needs an adult manager or someone to come in for proper training. I really don't know the answer, but good grief.

Went inside to place an order to go. Spoke directly and clearly, face to face to the person taking my order. No ice and no sweet iced tea. Ordered 3 pc fried chicken meal, all white, and a couple of extra wings. Should have checked the order. Drove 21 miles home, only to discover that 1.) the chicken wasn't fried, but roasted. I didn't even know there was such a thing. 2.) There was a thigh and drumstick in the 3 pc meal. 3.) The pathetic extra wings, roasted, must have been pulled off a sparrow. This wasn't the first time they messed up up an order, but it is definitely the last. Avoid this place like the plague. Find somewhere where literate employees speak, and more importantly, understand English.

The service in this location completely sucks. The employees were doing nothing but talking with each other when they could’ve had their line down within minutes. I waited for 17 minutes just for a small box of chicken. The best part of this experience was the employee let my boyfriend use a latter to save a tiny bird that got stuck on the lights.

Normally love golden chick but lately it’s been slacking. Staff was not helpful at all. Spent $70 plus for the whole family and when asked for sauce they only gave one small packet and said they can’t give any more.

Order 4 piece that states breast, thigh, leg and wing for 12.99. Checked order before leaving and it was thigh, 2 legs and wing. I was told there was a dollar extra charge for a breast and that had to be specified. Which I asked for when I ordered, that is why I had to get a 4 piece. Not happy.

Quality has greatly declined. This is my 3rd time getting food poisoning. Best to avoid.

The most bland fried chicken I have ever had. 0 seasoning in the batter not even salt and pepper. I swear Luby’s/other early bird restaurants have better seasoned food than this place. Just take the extra 10 minutes to go to Popeyes on 183.

The change-over from Chicken Express to Golden Chick has not gone well. Every time I have gone there and used the drive-thru, I have received no utensils for things such as salads and coleslaw. I have ordered the fish each time and each time, the fish fillets are not fillets anymore; the fish is the side of a chicken strip. The fish no way resembles the picture shown when ordering. Until I hear they have returned to the size of fish they used to have, I guess Dairy Queen or Sonic down the street will get my fast food dollars. Sad.

The Old Hispanic lady who stated she was the manager when I asked for one after my visit at the Window was rude. She got mad because I asked for another straw. And when I asked her how her day was she said not good in a very rude tone and slammed the window shut. I waited to talk to her she seen me at the window and didn't want to open it back up, well I didn't move. When she did open it after 1 min she looked at me and asked what, then looked out the window and said I have customers you need tomove on. The young girl working there prepping the food in bags was looking at that lady like she was on something. I stayed at the window another minute while she was talking to the lady in the back who had headphones on looking at the window wondering what was going on. Very rude was the manager. From one Hispanic lady to another I was having a great day and tried to brighten her day up but from the beginning she was salty. I just moved to this community and this is what Liberty Hill Golden Chick is about.

This one is worth the read! If you want your food bag inspected, and by inspected I mean literally gone through, when they forgot to put something in it from your order, then you've found the right place! I've left a negative review before due to them getting my order wrong. And when I say wrong every time, I mean it. This time, they forgot to put mash potatoes in our order. I had to make the drive back over there from my house. When I got there, explained the scenario, the Manager, Maria, literally made them go through my order. They opened the bag and the boxes to inspect, and confirm, there were no mash potatoes in there. Talk about customer service!!! As if I wanted to steal some mash potatoes. If they had just given me mash potatoes, I would have just chalked it up as yet another bad, forgotten food, experience. Maria, demanding that I be shamed, my food bags literally gone through and inspected, essentially calling me a thief, has directly resulted in this review. I won't return. I'll drive the extra distance to Leander. I run a very successful, busy, highly reviewed shop. I know what customer loyalty looks like and it's a direct result of doing exactly the opposite of what Maria decide to do.

It’s amazing how consistently bad this location is. There has not been one time that my order wasn’t wrong. Plus the chicken is almost always dry, and in one instance, it’s was severely undercooked. I’ve txt the number on the receipt multiple times with feedback but never received responses. The only reason there are good reviews on here or the dq next door is because even a broken clock is right twice a day.

The food was perfectly fine until I noticed that there was a strand of hair in my tenders. I went back through the drive through to replace just the tenders and because the window was left slightly open I could hear that I was being accused of planting my own hair in the food, even though who I’m assuming to be the manager, which later I was told her name was Maria, was handling my food and was not wearing a hat to keep their hair back. Through the drive through window I could see that they were making a huge deal about it and were going through the trash to find the box I returned just to inspect the strand of hair before giving me replacement tenders. As a person who works in the food business, this reaction is unacceptable as well as inappropriate for a person in the manager position to say something like this about a customer.

My wife had the worst experience with this edtablishement on 9/10. She walks into the restaurant to get a group pack/meal she waited 20 min at the counter. Had one guy look at her twice and not come and help take her order it took her saying is anyone gonna help me and finally someone very rude came to the counter and took her order which came out to around 56-60$ and asked if we could get a few plates and cups. They proceded to charger her an extra 7 dollars for cups and plates. When all we asked for was 3 plates and 3 cups. They charged my wife for large cokes.!!! When the order came out they slammed it on the counter. We would go all the time but after this totally uncalled for encounter with this pathetic staff. We will absolutely no longer come to this place I wish they would have left it chicken express!!!!! Those folks were way nicer!

The worst service I've ever seen. Today Sunday 7/23/2023 around 9.15pm. I ordered big golden sandwich combo (fries & Dr pepper), and 2 chicken breast pieces. I got a completely different order. The young lady who was @ the cashier gave my order to someone else. I had to wait to get my correct order, unfortunately after waiting they gave me chicken thighs instead of the breast. I asked them to correct it, they kept saying it's breast. I showed them the 2 pieces, they were well disorganized and rude. When I got back home, the drink was an ice tea, not Dr pepper, and the sandwich was also different. Honestly, the worst

Okay the food is awesome here! I will give it a five stars on the food. But if you have a large order please if you go through the drive-thru( check your order before you leave to make sure it's all there!) That is my only issue with this place. For the prices you have to pay you expect to get your order go home sit down and eat right? If you don't check it before you leave the window it's on you fair warning! Anytime I go through with a large order a double chicken order with multiple families I never ever get my complete order when I get home it is never all there and I am disabled and it takes a lot for me to get out of the house the first time much less having to get back in the car and drive back up and get the replacements, plus it's already been paid for and I don't feel I should have to do that they should get the order correct the first time. But they do replace it if you will call and make a complaint they are very good about that. But please enjoy your nail and they are very friendly. Okay I went back last night through the drive-thru bad choice! The food was terrible this time period I had the three piece chicken dinner. The chicken was way overcooked almost burnt, the chicken leg was the size of a chicken wing leg the thigh was so small it took three bites and I was done with it and the wing had been fried so hard there was no crust on it and it was black! The only thing that was good was the mashed potatoes and gravy.. I think I finally given up on this place.

I've visited 3 times since they opened. First time the chicken was cold but I was starving so I made it work. I thought it was just that one time. 2nd and 3rd time I ordered a chicken sandwich and the chicken was so tough I had to toss it. Waste of money! Now the last time at least the fries were good. It's just so disappointing because this could be such a great spot if they just cared about quality and from these comments they should work on customer service. They should put out a tip jar to encourage the employees for do a better job. Just an idea.
