We held a networking event outside tonight and they had the perfect space to make it family friendly. Most of us don’t get a chance to network at night with kids but this facility was perfect! The drinks were flowing and the food was amazing. Staff did a fantastic job catering to us!!! We had Alyson, Kylee and Victor. Also the group ordered a ton of the BLATs and they did not disappoint lol

Unsuspectingly walked in. Saw a busy parking lot at 5p- so I pulled in. So glad I did. Service was fantastic and the food- totally surprised me. I had the Grilled Pork Chop, with sweet potato waffle fries and crispy brussel sprouts. Without a doubt- the pork chop was in top 5 pork dishes Ive had- and the sad part- the sides were even better. I typically find sweet potato fries to be a bit soggy- not these. Someone knew to fry them twice- and higher temp for the second bath. Super crispy outside. The sprouts hit on sweet-salty and both sides of texture. Absolutely will revisit.

Great place. We stopped in for a bite while passing through. We had the Loaded Fries, and each got a Spicy Burger. The food is well cooked, flavorful, and offers big portion sizes. We decided not to drink, but they do have a bar. Seating is available both indoors & out. It's a quaint little place that borders on upper middle class dining. The server seemed experienced, well informed of the menu options, and was polite. If we lived in the area, we'd definitely make this a frequent stop. My only thoughts on flaws would be that the indoor tables could use a fresh lacquer.

The service was amazing and the food was delicious. We will definitely return!

The service was great. The waitresses were friendly and attentive. The drinks were on point. The menu prices were very reasonable! But the food....WOW. I haven't been that impressed as long as I can remember! We can't wait to return! I highly recommend the fish and chips and the chef's choice veggies. It was squash and zucchini sautéed perfectly with onion. I felt like i was back in my Mom's kitchen. THE fish was the best I've had in my 40 years!

I had to leave a good review because we had such a great experience. Our waitress Joanna was AMAZING. We brought in our toddler and she was making sure that he and I had everything we needed so I could enjoy my meal. The food was well worth the price which was very reasonable. I got the B.L.A.T and it was full of flavor. Large enough portions and their veggies were definitely not from a can. Come in and see Joanna (she said she's there on the weekend).

Our waitress, Jaclyn, was awesome. She was polite, friendly, attentive, and very efficient. We opted for burgers this time around, and we're pleasantly surprised by both quantity and quality. Plan to return soon to try more of their menu. Definitely a go back to place!

Great food! Family friendly and dog friendly. They have a huge outdoor area with plenty of seats. The service was great!

Friends in our Facebook group recommended this place. We happened to be in the area and thought we would try it. It was busy but we were able to get seats at the bar. I will admit service was a little slow upon our arrival, perhaps due to staffing issues. But we thought it would be worth the wait. The food and spirits, especially the “Cadillac” margarita, was really good. The food menu offered plated entrees, salads and sandwiches. We opted for their burger and their Cordon Blue sandwich. The food was a little slow getting to us but it was hot and delicious once it arrived. As someone who has worked in the food service industry, things happen and you can never fully predict how many folks will visit your establishment. It’s a fluid industry and I completely get it. Will we go back….absolutely! The food and drinks were delicious. The atmosphere was casual, laidback and friendly. It seemed as though this place already has a steady following of patrons, to me that speaks volumes, too. The service was great. They recognized things were slow getting out and made up for the delays. If you haven’t tried it, yet, what are you waiting for?

We're three people who went. Plenty time to talk after order. I just got to get used to stopping the group conversation. To answer questions. From servers.

Visiting this gem was an absolute delight, offering an authentic country-like atmosphere that instantly made us feel welcome and at ease. The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the burgers, which were nothing short of spectacular. Each bite was a perfect blend of flavors, with fresh, quality ingredients that could be tasted in every mouthful. The attention to detail in their preparation was evident, making it clear that this restaurant prides itself on delivering not just good food, but an exceptional dining experience. The rustic decor, friendly staff, and warm ambiance added to the overall charm, making it a must-visit for anyone looking for a slice of country hospitality paired with culinary excellence. Highly recommended for a memorable meal that leaves you planning your next visit before you’ve even left.

Stopped in this establishment when visiting family in Liberty Hill. Super friendly service that makes you feel at home. Great food, good prices and large portions! I was pleasantly surprised with the selection of food available on the menu. They were serving Sunday brunch and I ordered the Avocado Toast Duo. There was much more to the dish than just avocados on toast. One toast was piled with avocado, smoked salmon, spinach, capers, onion and tomatoes. The other toast was topped with avocado, cucumber, tomatoes, and balsamic. Served on a large platter with eggs to order. Amazing and delicious! I wish I lived closer to Liberty Hill!

This place is a hidden gem! Food was outstanding! Fast, friendly, attentive service from all the staff. Food was amazing, prices very reasonable, and every bite of every dish exceeded expectations. Chicken fried chicken was so tender we didn’t even use our knives. Brussel sprouts were outa this world yummy. Mac and cheese was dangerously delicious. So many apps to choose from that we got a sampler and loved everything! Atmosphere was great for lunch but we will also come back for dinner and drinks. New favorite spot!! 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆

If you're looking for a warm, casual and friendly environment with amazing food and service- look no further! We went for my brother's birthday and couldn't have asked for a better experience. The fried fish was perfection as was the schnitzel. Our waitress Chelsea was so friendly and attentive and even did a little birthday jig when she brought out the complimentary birthday sundae. If you're in the Liberty Hill area- check them out! 🩷

Here for the first time with my elderly mother, who has been here a couple of times before. Service was great, attentive and friendly. The menu choices are restaurant quality, not cheap bar food. Beer choices are fantastic. Will go again when in Liberty Hill.

This was our second time here (with kids) and the food is SO GOOD! The pineapple mimosa is awesome. We have gotten the chicken and waffles both times and I will order it every single time. The waffle is crispy on the outside and soft inside. Chicken is moist and so flavorful! My 4 year old loves the kids menu and playground. The staff has always been so friendly and fun. I’m honestly surprised they don’t have a line out the door. Everything tastes homemade and has beautiful presentation.

This was not our first visit, we’ve gone a handful of times in the last year and honestly didn’t love the food or the service. Today, we were looking for somewhere local for brunch and decided to give it another try. Y’all. It was SO GOOD. I had the biscuits and gravy, hash browns and eggs. It was all cooked perfect. So delicious!! My husband had a breakfast sampler type dish and everything from the pancake, French toast, bacon etc was on point. As we were ready to pay the server told us it was free for the moms at the table (it was Mother’s Day) there were 3 moms and they comped our meals and drinks. Incredible and totally unexpected. We will definitely be back.

This place was full of pleasant surprises! They use quality ingredients, and serve with a southern hospitality that is sadly not as common these days. I had a buffalo blue cheese burger with sweet potatoes waffle fries and a blue berry cosmo. Everything was downright delightful!

He had great menu suggestions, kept everything on point without being overbearing, and his timing was perfect the whole time. Just love this restaurant. Food is good, staff are so great and friendly. If you do go in and check them out, tell them I sent you. Lol. Just a fun place to be I asked about carrying a veggie tray and Cody and the cook brought me this beauty. It was so good.

I am genuinely shocked by the 4.3 rating for this place because the food is OUT OF THIS WORLD GOOD!!!!!!! The service is outstanding, the atmosphere is equally as fantastic, and the price-points for the quality is phenomenal. We used to go to Dahlia's up the road, but not anymore! Liberty Tavern is truly a hidden-gem and we can't wait to go back to try their brunch plates! PLEASE check them out! You will loooooove them!!!!!

Excellent bar experience. Amazing service and clean everywhere. Nice selection of beers. I recommend the fried pickles. They were tasty and not greasy. The fish in the fish and chips was moist and not overcooked. Oh and the Tavern Bloody Mary is a meal in itself. Bacon, chicken wing and a piece of a rib (?). Yummy! PS, the parking lot looked full but we found a spot and there were tables.

Great food! The Mac and cheese should be a main food item!!! Staff is excellent and very friendly. Low key and laid back with games for the kids and adults.

The chopped steak is awesome!! Cooked perfectly. It did not have the usual gloppy gravy that most places serve. Rather, it had a delicious delicate sauce. Had crispy Brussels sprouts as a side which had their own fabulous sauce. I will be a regular here!

I used to be bummed when I'd have to drive all the way to Liberty Hill for a job, which happens once a month or so. Nothing against LH; it's just a long drive. Then, I stumbled onto Liberty Tavern. The food is so good, and the people working there are so friendly, I look forward to that long drive now. Special thumbs up to the pork chop, the chicken fried steak, and Liz.

Off the beaten trail, but very accessible to locals. They have an outstanding beer and whiskey selection with specials to match. Stopped by and had a delicious chicken fried steak with mashed taters. Also ordered the brussel sprouts that were really good! The drink menu has something for everybody!

Been in 4 times and have had a great experience every time. The food is great the service has been great. Our last dinner there last week our service was so-so. To be fair I think they were under staffed because we had always had excellent service. I will definitely be back. Their smothered fries are great!!!

This place is cute! Their fountain cola is offbrand so ask for the mexican coke. Their burger is great and the French fries were an excellent upgrade from the potato ruffles. I'd like to see a local baker bring in their pies. Not crazy about their current selection.

A convenient place in Liberty Hill, with nice staff and delicious food. I ate breakfast there and it could not have been more delicious - both food and coffee. I had the Spinach and mushroom omelette with their version of hash browns. Beyond yummy! Will definitely return to try more.

Great atmosphere inside and out. Inside feels a little more bar than restaurant but there are nice tables like a restaurant on one half. The outside is an excellent family environment with a playground for the kids fully enclosed by a fence. Liz was an amazing and fun personality waitress that made the experience top notch.

Best Buffalo Wings in the area and the beer cheese soup for the Pretzels is amazing. Well worth the trip for great food and a lovely old-school saloon feel and now, that spring is coming, the outdoors is a great option. The staff here are super friendly and welcoming. Quiet during the week with high energy on the weekend.

This was a fun lunch trip. They have a lot of seating outside and some tables have umbrellas for shade. The food was pretty decent for bar food. I had the fried fish and my dad had a burger. Both were good, decent size portions. The waitstaff was friendly, but it did take some time to get our food, so we just enjoyed each other's company. I would definitely go here again, just when I have some time on my hands. It's worth the relaxing visit.

Liberty Tavern in Liberty Hill is hands-down one of the best local spots around! The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and has that perfect small-town charm while still feeling modern and upbeat. The staff is genuinely friendly and attentive—you never feel rushed, and they really make you feel like a valued guest. The food is incredible. Everything comes out fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Whether you’re grabbing a casual dinner, meeting friends for drinks, or treating the family to a night out, Liberty Tavern delivers every single time. Their portions are generous, the menu has something for everyone, and the quality is consistently top-notch. The drink selection is also a highlight—great cocktails, cold beer, and options that pair perfectly with the meal. And if you’re going on a busy night, the vibe is energetic but never chaotic. Overall, Liberty Tavern is a true gem in Liberty Hill. Amazing food, wonderful service, and a place you actually look forward to coming back to. Highly recommend!

After a very long work week—I decided to treat myself to dinner at Liberty Tavern in Liberty Hill for the third time this month. Out of thousands of dining options in the Austin area, I keep coming back here for a reason. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with friendly service, a clean and welcoming atmosphere, and a menu that’s hard to resist. This time, I was thrilled to finally introduce my wife to the place. I ordered my usual — the Liberty Tavern Club Sandwich — and as always, it was absolutely delicious. Paired with their sweet potato waffle fries, it’s a meal straight from heaven! The club is huge, packed with flavor, and made with perfectly toasted sourdough bread. My wife said it was the best sandwich she’s ever had, and I have to agree — it’s that good. The waitstaff, mostly local young Texans from nearby schools, are some of the friendliest and most polite you’ll find anywhere. On a previous visit, I was even approached by what I believe was the owner, a sweet and genuine lady who asked if everything was perfect (it was!). It’s clear she truly cares about her staff, her guests, and the overall dining experience. Whoever is back in the kitchen deserves a round of applause — or maybe even a hug — because the food they turn out is consistently fantastic. Liberty Tavern might seem a bit off the beaten path, but it’s actually quite convenient for anyone in Leander, Georgetown, or Cedar Park. Trust me — give it a try; you won’t regret it!

One of the best burgers we’ve had anywhere nearby, and the rest of the menu looks just as tempting. Don’t miss the Brussels sprouts. We ordered them without the teriyaki sauce and they were absolute perfection. A big thank-you to Elizabeth for outstanding service. Went to check it out after work with a friend. Great beer & appetizers. The staff was amazing! We couldn't decide right away what we wanted and our lady didn't rush us at all & was super friendly. We went outside to finish our beer, as business was picking up & we didn't want to interfere with her turnover. While outside 2 other ladies checked on us to boot. Food was great as well as the service. Can't wait to go back!

We have been to this restaurant twice now when we come visit friends in Liberty Hill. The food is excellent and the service is great! It’s not usually crowded and we get seated immediately. Everyone enjoyed their meals and if you were considering the Brussels sprouts, DO IT! They’re excellent!

Went for the first time today and got their bogo burger deal. Burger was so juicy and good quality meat. Fries were hot and crispy, onion ring beer battered and had a delicious dipping sauce. My daughter had the Cesar salad with fried chicken and loved it. Cadillac margarita was excellent. We will be back to try more dishes for sure!

Stopped in this past Sunday (Jan 21, 2024) for brunch on the way back from hiking at Doeskin Ranch. We arrived just after noon. They were doing a business, but had open tables and we were seated right away. Service was slow, but not due to the servers. I believe the kitchen was backed up. When we did get our food, wow, it was so good 😋. Hard to balance if it was worth the wait, but we weren't disappointed. I'd still go back. Original: Really good, food, beverages, atmosphere. Absolutely worth checking out. Recommended.

Wonderful food and amazing atmosphere! Super kid friendly with an outdoor play scape and beer garden. Order the Brussels sprouts, you will thank me!!! The owners are an amazing family who you will find working there most days!!! It can get pretty packed which is awesome for just opening! Order one of the great signature cocktails and take it outside if there is a wait!

Went today. Food was really good and scratch made. Service at the bar was great even though she was so so busy. Drinks are very weak and the prices are way too high! Higher than any place in Liberty Hill.Especially for basic well drinks $9.00 & $7.00 for Taka?Really? We will be back but will not order drinks again at that price unless they lower the prices on basic well drinks. Owner reacted, but seriously, if the drinks weren't weak and overpriced I wouldn't have posted! They are too expensive, $9.00 for a vodka and oj and $7.00 for a vodka tonic. Out of Taka? Done here for sure! I wouldn't have posted if it weren't true. Well drinks are weak and cost more than Jack Allen's, Blue Corn, Wildfire, etc. We want a good meal and a decent drink at a fair price. We will not be back.

Went last Monday, First let me say I have always enjoyed coming here. However this was not a good eating experience for me. I tried to order several different items and they were either out oi it or components to make the dish. So ok I went to my old reliable BLT. NOT GOOD The BLT was a aweso.e sandwich with excellent pepper bacon aweso.e sourdough bread with lettuce and tomato. This sandwich came with under cooked pork belly that frankly must have come from a 30 year old hog. Horrible taste. After asking the waitress if this was new, I was advised this is how we do it now. As I said God awful taste. Wife's burger was good as always and couple we were with had the fish and. chips and chef salad. All were decent with great service. Bottom line Liberty Tavern is a great family restaurant with great a great place for the kids to play and be safe. I am just bummed they took a great sandwich and ruined it for me.

We stopped by for dinner on a Wednesday evening a week or so after they opened. The beer garden and playground on a warm evening was enticing. They had only one waitress working the outside and she did a great job. We ordered drinks and the spinach and artichoke appetizer. The pecan porter and the Texas peach buck came out quickly. The appetizers arrived shortly after and it was very cheesy. While it was good, I would not order it again. For our mains we had the special of the day (chili cheese burger), kids quesadillas, and a side salad and brussel sprouts. My family enjoyed their meals. I wish the quesadilla had something with it, such as pico de Gallo, salsa, it even fries. I would recommend the brussel sprouts either as an appetizer or as a side. I'm sure we'll be back sooner or later and I will have the brussel sprouts again.

Food was great other than the nachos and the corn fritter things. They left a little to be desired that said everything else was great.

We immediately felt good when we walked into the Liberty Tavern. The atmosphere was not too loud and we could enjoy watching the many TV's without it being overwhelming. It was a Thursday night and with most of the tables taken we were happy to find one without sitting at the bar, even though the bar looked like a decent place to sit. After putting in our order for "fish and chips" and the "CFS with onion rings/mashed potatoes " we waited. We talked and waited...And waited... And waited. There didn't seem to be too many people there but our waitress explained that a bunch of Uber orders came in and there was a delay. We weren't in a hurry but I was "uber" hungry but we waited and waited patiently. Now here's where the night was saved! Our server brought us out complimentary chips and queso for our wait! Very thoughtful! (Side note: We've had much better queso and unfortunately this didn't make our Top 20) She apologized profusely and later brought us out a small dish of their "chicken and dumplings" and "vegetable beef" soups! Both were delicious and hearty! If I had to choose between the two I'd get the chicken and dumplings. Yum!! Onto the main course, even though we are now pretty full! My husband is a snob when it comes to CFS. I mean super super picky. We will go to a place just to try the CFS. Surprise of all surprises..He has rated this the best he's tasted in this area! Seasoning, portion, tender meat and crispy crust..all done very well! Gravy was a good amount, creamy, seasoned well and not too thin.. just right! My fish and chips were extra crispy and very very tasty. The inside of the fish was flaky and with the malt and tarter sauce it was over the top! We both could only eat less than half as there was a huge portion of both meals. (And we'd eaten 2 courses before!) Overall we will be back as we felt it was a good experience and we'd like to go when it's warmer to sit outside... especially on Wednesday where it's BOGO Burgers! You betcha!

Came here for lunch with my husband. There weren’t many people here (one other couple and some people at the bar) and I was surprised at how long it took for our food to come out. We ordered chopped steak medium well and it was definitely more well done. Very tough. I ended up switching entrees so my husband ate that one, but everything else was really good.

We were seated pretty quickly; however, for the group of three adults and three children it was an awkward arrangement. Our server tools orders quickly and pretty efficiently. She was attentive to the drink levels. Food came out at a reasonable time and was very good. Servings met our expectations and didn't leave feeling shorted. It was a bit crowded and loud. The playground in back had many happy families hanging out.

The place was super clean and nice. The only complaint was the food. I ordered the spicy chicken sandwich, which normally I am perfectly okay with heat; I had to return it because you could not even taste the chicken for how hot it was. I even had other people at the table try it who enjoy spice and it was just not edible for how hot it was. I spoke with the waitress about it, I did receive some sass over it but they were more than willing to replace it with something else. If they are going to have something on their menu listed as spicy it needs to be actually edible still. If there is like six Hot Chili Peppers next to it I would understand, I just wish there was more detail on the menu about the temperature of the item if that is how hot it's supposed to be.

Giving 3 stars because the two times prior we ordered (via Uber Eats) the chicken fried steak was great. However tonight’s delivery was not cooked. One steak was underdone and one was basically raw. Very disappointed.

The experience showed promise, but the service was severely lacking. The staff displayed an apathetic attitude and seemed disinterested in providing quality service. Every request was met with an annoyed look. I order a medium cooked steak but what Inreceived was a three levels overcooked shoe sole, which is completely unacceptable. Although I received a 20% discount, it doesn't compensate for the poor experience. The bingo though was fun and th host was really entertaining.

We like this place but it really needs some love and improvements immediately. Food is good, drinks too. Some of the German beers are stale. Probably because they don't get ordered as much. Our biggest issue is the outdoor area and most of our friends agree. Outdoor service is horrible. You have to go inside to order and no one checks drinks or if silverware is even on the tables. Outdoor area definitely needs some love and just seems not maintained. Weeds everywhere, tables dirty and sticky. Unused equipment laying around and the unsightly trailer doesn't help. I really hope they make the necessary changes as we like to support local but it doesn't seem like they care.

Service was good but slow to get refills and put food orders in (place wasn't too crowded). Salads had minimal dressing, even when asking for more. Sandwiches were good but on the dry side. It is almost like the place is facing tariff-level condiment shortages. Other than the very loud people at the tall table at the complete other side of the place (loud mouthed lady had the entire place looking at her), I would go back and give them another shot.

I ordered the burger, which was massive and tasted ok. My wife ordered the salmon entree and was ok but a little small. We sat outside since it was a beautiful day, but we're constantly swatting flies. I don't think it helped that the server was dumping unfinished drinks under the table or that none of the tables were wiped down after use.

I’ve had better burgers with leaner patty. It has the potential to be my go to place but the quality of food needs to improve. Love to encourage a local business.

Not bad, basic. Small portions. Went to breakfast on the first day they offered to serve it. Nothing fancy. Port basic breakfast. $80 for breakfast for 4. Service was slow. We had all completely been finished eating for 15 minutes before we were asked is we wanted the check. Something was screwy with the payment. I gave the server $80 in “20’s”. She asked if i wanted change. As the bill was $76 (?) , I said yes, bring me the change and a receipt (I planned on giving a &10 tip). That was met with a smidgen of attitude. The server finally returned, she brought back 3-$20’s, 3-$5’s and 5 -$1’s and put them on the table. It was strange. The server was flustered by the cash payment and repeatedly said sorry. I assured her it was alright. She then stated that she pays for all of her tables at the end of her shift. I then had to recount the money and give her $75. The receipt I received was not a receipt for payment. It did not show what i paid. Also, if you tell you have maple syrup and then give me HFCS, I know the difference. Just say pancake syrup and not maple. It was happenstance that we went there. I returned a horse trailer that morning and made a wrong turn. Not going back. Mainly because it is also a alcoholic full bar. Parking was not great

This restaurant has potential and I really hope it makes it. We need more family-friendly spots in Liberty Hill. Love the playground and outdoor seating but they need more seating near the playground. There were only two tables near the playground and the remaining seating is farther away which can be problematic if you want to keep an eye on the kiddos. Parking is limited and a little difficult to navigate. Service was not great. We ordered via QR code and not everything we ordered was delivered. Our waitress was difficult to locate to notify of the problem. The Mac and cheese was delicious. However, the spinach dip was not good at all. It really lacked flavor and was almost like plain cooked spinach with bread crumbs on top. We really regretted ordering it. I hope that most of the issues are growing pains and that they are able to improve and make it as they have great potential to be a top spot in LH.

Unfortunately came here for the first time. Looked around and nobody had any food on their plates. I heard everybody complaining about how long they were waiting. We continue to wait well over an hour before we even got an appetizer. The food finally arrived, and my son’s hamburger was stone cold that we couldn’t even eat it. The server was awesome and lovely, but obviously the chef doesn’t have their act together.

Tons of staff yet zero service. Food is good, the joy stops there. I swear I must have invoked a curse. Arrived, went to play area. Sign says "go inside for service ". I go inside to the bar, tell them I'm outside by food truck. They give me a menu and say go outside, they'll come to me. Perfect. I sit outside for 10 minutes. I then go up to a waitress who says "oh we don't serve food there" and points to the sign. I say "I did go inside, they told me to go outside" ok, miscommunication and vague sign. I'd recommend "no food service here, go inside to ORDER or go to food area by building" No biggie, I'll avoid next time. The waitress I found then says she'll send someone out rather than help me, but maybe she's busy, ok. I go sit in the food area. They have 3 waitresses serving a total of 3 tables, including mine. The only thing is somehow 3 waitresses hit the only other 2 tables all around me and kept walking away until one of the other tables asked if they'd help me. Once I do get my food, it's SWARMED by flies. I eat outdoors at a lot of patio restaurants. This place must sit on swampland it's so BAD. The waitstaff reseated multiple tables indoor during my time there. The door thresh hold going from outside has a tall lip, and 2 people tripped in 30 minutes. One was a little kid who landed on his face. On top of that, they missed a whole part of our order and put onion on the food I requested be removed. It's sad the food is good because the service stinks. Update your signage, remediate the pests, improve your flow so you know when you have menus out unserviced, and don't act as if your customer shouldn't be annoyed when they come to your place only to be ignored for a total of 20 minutes. On their own, none of these things are noteworthy. Every restaurant has hiccups here and there. But combined I can only wonder what front of house and ownership are doing, I feel bad for the waiters. If this places goes out of business it won't be because of the food. I swear I'm not a Karen, but my god, this place sure makes you feel like one. What a wonderful waste of time and money on a beautiful Sunday. I wouldn't go back if you paid me.

My wife ordered a top shelf Margarita, but Liberty Tavern didn't have the tequilas we normally choose at a restaurant, so we let the server and bar tender choose. It was small but good, so my wife ordered another one. When we got the bill, we found the the margarita's were $30 each. What a surprise. I wish our server would have told us the price before serving and billing us $60 for two small margaritas. We feel like we were taken advantage of, so will probably never go back.

My family and I have come to liberty tavern now 5 times. The 2 times we have been there with Casey as our server it has been absolutely terrible service! The first time with Casey we didn’t get refills nor asked if we wanted more drinks. I went inside to check on our food after about an hour and half of waiting and she asked if we were ready for our check. WE HADN'T EVEN GOTTEN OUR FOOD YET! And even mentioned her other tables had been served food and left. We had got there at 7pm and didn’t get our food till 9pm. With a 4 year old and an 10 year old waiting on food for that long was not a good time. Burgers were cold and my sons chicken was dry. Just an absolute horrible dinner with my family. By time we got our food our 4 year old was tired and became very cranky. We thought at first maybe it was because we sat outside or maybe she was busy inside. But no again tonight we have gone and sat inside and we waited twice the time for our drinks and or refills than the table next to us. Had to even go to the bar to find out where our drinks were than served with the wrong beer and had to get another made. We started with appetizers when we finished those. We were not asked if we wanted to order dinner till an hour or so later. In all honesty we have loved this place the other 3 times. We may go back but will not sit in Casey’s section.

I'm incredibly disappointed with this restaurant. We've been regulars for a couple of years and spend way more money here than we should (around $120 on Sundays and $100 on Wednesdays....that's over $800 per month) because we want to support local, but tonight was the last time we'll dine here. I started following them on Facebook recently and they sent me an instant message with a buy one entrée get one free coupon...awesome right? Well, I went like we do every Wednesday night and told the waitress about the coupon before we even ordered a glass of water, keep in mind we've never used a coupon here before. No problem. We went ahead and ordered. They had a sign that they have bogo burgers on Wednesdays, so sure why not. We went ahead and ordered that too. My husband gets off late so I ordered it to go. We arrived around 5:15ish. My kids got their food about an hour AFTER we ordered it and then finally my food came out an hour and half after I ordered it...no joke. We didn't get our check until around 7pm. When the waitress came to our table to present the check she said the manager (Joe) would not honor it because they don't stack coupons. I only had one coupon and the only coupon I've ever tried to use here, plus..I told them way before we ordered anything. There was no signage stating you can't order the burgers to go and the waitstaff didn't even know that. That would have been no problem whatsoever had they said something when I was ordering. The manager didn't even have the decency to come to our table and apologize for any miscommunication and try to make it right. I asked to speak with the manager and when he came to our table I explained I only had one coupon and was not aware they wouldn't also honor their daily special with it and he was incredibly rude. I told him I had to wait an hour and half for my food and he just smirked and treated us poorly as if I were lying. In the end the manager did honor the coupon, but this is not about a coupon or money at all. This entire review is about treating customers with respect and just overall decent customer service...which shouldn't be hard. I'll never dine here again. Word of mouth can kill a local business in a small town. Treat your customers better.

I'm honestly not sure what happened here. My girlfriend and I come up here from Leander usually twice a month- sometimes with the kids and sometimes without. The chicken fried chicken WAS worth the drive. Unfortunately it's not anymore. Our server (who was great by the way) warned us that the portions are smaller now, so I will absolutely take some of that responsibility. The problem is I didn't even look at the menu, since this is what we order. Another girl brought our dishes out, and it seriously looked like they cut our chicken in half and served it as two entrees! It's just not the chicken fried chicken you expect to see in a small town as an entree. It looked like i ordered from the kids menu. The one freaking time I didn't take a picture of my food is really irritating! This is the first time my girlfriend finished her plate! Now for the kicker... the chicken fried chicken used to cost $16. Now you have the pleasure of paying $19 for half the chicken! Oh, and here's another wonderful gift- go ahead and let them know you want gravy on your mashed potatoes. You'll receive another $2 charge on your bill.... per entree! So basically $21 for a really small portion and to make sure the gravy gets on your mashed potatoes. Just for reference- Dahlias and Jack Allen's chicken fried chicken are under $17, and i always leave satisfied. This evening I came home and made a ham and cheese sandwich. Two stars instead of one because the jalapeño ranch on the house salad is the bomb, and our server was great. She really did try to warn us.

The food was good, if slightly over priced, but the service was bad. We sat outside, had to wait to get a menu so we could order drinks, then by the time the waitress came back to the table we were ready to just order everything, but she wasn't ready, so we waited again. Placed the orders for appetizer, entree, and dessert. Food came all at the same time about 20 mins later, but no appetizer or silverware, so we waited for silverware. The waitress checked on us once, so I asked for boxes assuming it was going to be a wait for those as well. Finished eating, and was lucky I got boxes earlier because we waited 40 mins for the check. I had to go inside to ask to pay, and waited another 20 mins to complete the process. Won't be coming back.

I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but our experience here was really disappointing. We ordered chicken breasts but were served chicken thighs instead, and no one even acknowledged the mix-up. On top of that, it took an hour for our food to arrive, which wouldn’t have been as frustrating if the service had been better. Unfortunately, the waitress only came by twice—once to take our order and once to drop off the check. No refills were offered, and it felt like we were completely forgotten about. Definitely not the experience we were hoping for. Never will I come back.

IF I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS I WOULD! The service was incredibly slow. Apps came out cold . Took over 2 hours for apps and dinner. Chicken fried chicken was burnt. Pork belly bites were cold and hard to chew. Flys were HORRIBLE there. Forgot parts of the order MULTIPLE times. The tea had thick nasty stuff in it . Just over terrible experience. Definitely WILL NOT come back. Update: been sick for hours from the food!

Playground is nice for kids to play and the atmosphere is good bet this service was awful I order food at 650 food was supposed to be ready at 725. Came around 730 food was still not ready. Was told 4 orders ahead of me cam back around 750 order was still not ready was told we are waiting for the fish to be ready 4 more minutes. Food finally arrived at 830 cold and missing items from food and missing drinks.

Slow forgetful service. Multiple people served before us who came well after us. Food was brought out cold like they had forgotten about it. We were served before others that were praising they ordered an appetizer for their child because the food took so long.

I was very disappointed with our last visit. They did not have enough menus. The bartender was more interested in talking to the people at the bar than doing his job. We waited 15 minutes for our drinks, then had to go check on it. When they came, one was wrong. Another 15 minutes before it was corrected. After 45 minutes, we checked on our order. We were the third ticket, so we cancled the order, paid for the drinks and left. Not sure what the issue was, but we will not be back until they get thing fixed.

Minor fault to the waitress but MAJOR fault to the CHEF. First, I noticed a couple seated to our right got up and left as they never receive their food. Personally, I was a “tad” worried but our waitress took our order right away; however, our when we revived our food, it was not what we ordered. My sons cheeseburger was like warm and without cheese and a “sprinkle” of fries. My wife received the wrong salad without dressing. We told the our waitress and she said “I thought this looked wrong” (which is why I say it’s a “minor fault” to the waitress) and she said she’d get it fixed. Seven minutes later… we took the salad back to the bar and ask for the correct one and inquired if my son’s cheeseburger would be delivered. 9 minutes later, we got a salad (still the wrong salad because the CHEF USED MOST OF THE CONTENTS FROM THE ONE I RETURNED) and I ended up giving my son my pork sandwich. Liberty Tavern has potential, the cosmetics were amazing, and staff appeared to be energetic, but that is all ruined when a CHEF doesn’t know and understand his menu and has the audacity to repurpose the contents of a returned salad.

We just went to this place with a lot think the was good the food the we try after 1 hours waiting was good but we don’t even have silver ware or water….. we have a kid less then 2 year we ask for a simple chicken finger and more then and hour never show we thought his place was good but no is not even good very bad place to go and was not that busy just server was not good are family never go To this place anymore

We have really enjoyed previous trips here, however this morning we arrived at 10:05 am to a fully locked restaurant. No signage on the building and Google and their own website say open at 10am Sat. We waited for a bit hoping they were running a bit behind. That is not the case. I called the number, the lady who answered didnt state the restaurant name and when asked about it advised they changed their hours and "had no control over google"

Came for my friend's birthday service is slow. And they take forever to even bring 2 drinks at least 20 mins, my food still wasn't done after 1 hour of sitting and everyone was eating without us. We order a burger, onion rings and a kids meal. After 1 hour I went inside and no apologies or anything they forgot to put my order in. I was so upset and just asked to pay for drinks and leave. My 5 year old was starving and I kept telling her the food was coming. No apptizers or food after 1 hour if your okay with horrible customer service come here. Stay away!

V

We went there tonight and it was crowded. They told us we could sit outside so we did. Was told 2 times they would be right out. We waited 10 minutes the first time so I went in and asked if someone could help us and was told she would be right out after she helped a customer. We waited 10 more minutes after watching the waitress help several more people inside so we decided to leave. Not sure we will ever be back.

The service here is abysmal. Seat yourself does not work for this place, in my opinion. They pay no attention to who site, where, if they have menus or don’t, if they’ve been helped or not, etc. This has been our experience every time we go, management seriously needs to revisit the organization, or lack of, for this restaurant. Won’t be giving it another shot, unfortunately. Three times without any improvement is a pattern, not a “bad night.”

Marco Gomez

Well we were told to sit anywhere and someone would be with us shortly. 15 minutes later with 3 menus and silverware only no one came to our table. We tried to get a server’s attention and we were ignored. We noticed several staff members looking at us as we tried to make contact. Very poor service experience. We gone.
