Had an amazing time here! The atmosphere, food and drinks were beyond what we expected. Our server Rachel was great and was able to accommodate us very well!

Celebrated a birthday at The Boardroom this past Saturday and loved it! The food and drinks were amazing but our server, Lexie, made this a fantastic experience. She def went above and beyond and made this such a memorable experience. Foods we loved: the Korean beef tacos, firecracker shrimp, Brussels spouts Caesar and the buttered torte (bananas foster) dessert. Go with more than two people if you can so you can try more food. We were full after just 3 of the shared dishes plus dessert, but there were so many more things we wanted to try. Definitely recommend.

Had a great night making charcuterie boards with friends. It’s a very inviting atmosphere and a lot of fun. Liz was entertaining and very helpful creating our masterpiece. The staff was great and very attentive.

Such a great spot in downtown Libertyville. The ambiance is cool and stylish, with great attention to detail. I adore the lighting in here! It feels upscale without being stuffy. Service was excellent....friendly, attentive, and on point all night. The cocktails were a highlight...both the mule and the dirty martini were perfectly made. We shared a few plates and everything was delicious. The burrata was creamy and fresh, the roasted vegetables were full of flavor, and the goat cheese and mushroom flatbread was a standout. Definitely a place I'd come back to for a night out with friends or a date night. Great food, great drinks, and great vibes!

Just had another lovely experience at The board room. This time for Easter brunch. Food was great, service wonderful, AND the Easter bunny! We have also had many lovely dinners and recently hosted a baby shower in one of the rooms. Always wonderful!!!

The charcuterie board class was so much fun! Liz was such a great teacher and lexi was very attentive to all of our drink needs!

First time here and we had an AMAZING night!! Rebekka is the GM, but it was busy so she was our server tonight and I can’t say enough wonderful things about her. We ate everything she told us to get and my mouth watered with every bite. The food was delicious and so were the drinks! I 100% recommend the Korean Beef Crispy Tacos and the Lollipop Amish Chicken Wings. Hands down some of the best food I’ve had. Also if you don’t get the banana foster for dessert then you are making a mistake.

Lovely atmosphere for a dinner date or night out with friends! The cocktails were super cute and also delicious! On our second visit, despite having reservations and arriving when the restaurant was empty, we were seated in a corner table next to a plastic sheet where they were doing construction. I understand serving stations, but need to take a step back and understand the experience from a customer's perspective. We actually only stayed for a drink as result and went elsewhere for food.

Did a mixology class with them at Le Laurelli for a work team building day. SO much fun everyone had a blast and the drinks were so good!

At the Board Room, Andrea made my graduation day perfect. Drinks are 🔥 fire, and I am lit—best Bar Manager in the world. Andrea can make any drink, and Dare her if you wish. No need to drink to the city, stop by and relax at the bar.

Upscale tapas - nice lounge atmosphere. It's super clean and the service is great. We had the firecracker shrimp (so good!) and chicken flautas (nice and crispy). For dessert, the bananas foster butter cake was very good.

Thank you so much from one Liz to another on an amazing class! My best friend and I have been wanting to try this class for a while and I’m so happy we finally got the chance!

Attended the charcuterie class here and it was FANTASTIC! Liz and her assistants were so warm, friendly and helpful. The entire restaurant has such a gorgeous design (can’t wait to return to eat here!) You have the full drink and dining menu available before/during/after class and they were really on top of service. The class was just under two hours and ran SO well. You receive a tray/board and an individual box with all the ingredients. Liz shows you how to creatively cut everything and advises on placement. I’ve made tons of boards at home over the years and was so excited to learn new things! Very impressed with all the dietary restrictions they will adjust for as well (gluten, kosher, vegan, keto, etc). You can either enjoy your board there, or have it wrapped to bring home. My family was excited to enjoy it!

We had Thanksgiving dinner at The Board Room and absolutely loved it! My 10-year-old son was so impressed that he wanted to share a review, so here it is: "I give The Board Room 5 stars because it has the best food and the best service. First, they have an amazing kitchen because the appetizers came out within 5 minutes. For an appetizer, I recommend the charcuterie board. Second, we had the best server—his name was Nick. He was super nice, always made sure we had everything we needed, and was super cool! The desserts were amazing too, and Andrew was also awesome! Overall, my family and I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be coming back. Nick and Andrew deserve a raise!"

I recently had the pleasure of hosting my baby shower at The Board Room, and it truly exceeded all expectations! The service was exceptional, with a staff that went above and beyond to ensure a memorable experience. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the attention to detail in the accommodations added a touch of elegance. The food was outstanding and we were able to choose from a variety of brunch items for our custom menu. The event coordinator also printed our menus and matched them to the theme of the shower. In addition to the remarkable service and delectable cuisine, the ambiance was both inviting and sophisticated. 10/10 recommend for a special occasion or event, date night, or girls night out! The Board Room manages to strike the perfect balance! Enjoy!

I come here every month for our women’s networking group and have come for a bridal shower and dinner several times. Rebecca is our server every time I come to our network group and she is amazing! I always look forward to seeing her because her service is on point and I love her personality. I love The Board Room! *I had the pan seared blackened tuna and it was delicious! I normally get the chicken scaloppini piccata which is also perfection.

My mom and I did the charcuterie class, which they do monthly, and it was SO much fun! Super fun atmosphere, our server Emily and the owner Liz made this an awesome night. Learned so much and now have a lovely charcuterie board to take home! Cant wait to come back.

Some friends and I went to The Board Room to celebrate several ladies birthdays and was impressed with the good service and good food. We ordered several apps, dinner & dessert (a few pictured below). Our favorites were the Scallops n’ couscous, short rib and fire cracker shrimp. Least favorite was the creme brûlée and I am a creme brûlée lover. It wasn’t flavorful though the size was great for a creme brûlée. The ambience and atmosphere was inviting, comfy and cozy where we were seated. The service was good and the people were very friendly and accommodating. Would like to shout out both Nick and Jennifer for how nice, professional and helpful you were. I highly recommend you make a reservation. Kudos for only being open for a year and things are well run.

Food was absolutely amazing! Cocktails were good. Service and atmosphere is a great addition to Libertyville. My girlfriend and I dined in on Saturday night during their opening weekend. Our server was awesome. She was very friendly, fun and energetic and made great recommendations. The food was perfect! We ordered a regular charcuterie ($24), the caprese burrata ($16) and firecracker shrimp ($17). All these of these were outstanding! The size, the flavor, the presentation. We barely finished half of each. Took a large Togo box home. I saw a review on open table to “skip on the fire cracker shrimp” but a friend recommended it to me who dined in the night before us and I’m happy we gave it a try. It was my favorite of the three. I’m excited to try more on the menu as everything looked so good. Cocktails were flavorful and good portion sizes. Could dial up the alcohol content in them.

Earlier this month, our office came together to celebrate at The Board Room in Libertyville, IL. Before dinner, we were treated to a personal charcuterie board lesson by Liz Turnbaugh, the owner of The Board Room and My CharCuteRie (a custom charcuterie catering business). Liz taught us simple and fun techniques to create our own custom charcuterie boards. Afterwards, we selected various menu items to share tapas-style. The drink selection was also amazing - keep an eye out for their changing seasonal drinks! The entire team had an absolute blast at The Board Room. We highly recommend gathering your friends and experiencing this unique dining experience for yourselves. We know we'll be back soon!

We had such a great time at The Board Room in Libertyville last night for the first night of their soft opening. Every detail of this place is to die for! Not to mention how tasty the food is..presentation was an A+++ too. Everyone be sure to check this place out! The swanky vibes of this place are amazing and will definitely be the new place to be. The wine/beer selection are great and the craft cocktails are so unique! This place is just what downtown Libertyville needed!

We catered a 3ft charcuterie board from the Boardroom and My Charcuterie and couldn’t be happier! The guests loved it and was the talk of the party!

I had an amazing experience at The Board Room in Libertyville! The menu was just right—simple and not overwhelming, with perfectly curated options that made choosing easy. A special shoutout to our waiter, Nick, who was incredibly helpful with both drink and food recommendations—he truly enhanced our visit. We came from a Naval graduation and I am so glad that we did. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful. From the lovely decor to the stunning bathroom 10 out of 10. The food: we started with brushchetta and I ordered the braised beef short ribs for my entrée. The beef just melted in my mouth it was absolutely delicious. If I am every in the area again I would definitely return to this gem of a restaurant. Special shout out to our waitress Ms Rachel as our party started calling her. (She was fairly new but did a great job helping us make menu selections)

We came here for my wife's birthday and it definitely impressed. They had a really good drink selection with plenty of authentic and orginal mixes. The food selection was plenty leaving me wanting to come back to try more. Our waitress Susi was amazing we had a group of close to 20 and she handled all of our needs flawlessly. The building itsself is very clean and has a nice clean modern aethetic to it. Would 100% recommend for a night out or a special event.

The atmosphere alone is stunning and sets the vibe right away. I have celiac disease and can’t have gluten or dairy, and they were super accommodating, which I really appreciated. Rebecca took care of us and was so nice and helpful when it came to explaining the menu and making sure everything worked for my restrictions. She made the whole experience easy and enjoyable. This is officially my fiancé (not gluten/dairy free) and I’s new favorite spot. We’ll definitely be back.

Absolutely loved this place! The atmosphere is perfect—warm, stylish, and super inviting. The food was incredible; every dish tasted fresh and full of flavor. And the drinks? Truly divine. You can tell a lot of care goes into everything they serve. Easily one of my new favorite spots. Highly recommend!

I just visited The Board Room for a work event where we had appetizers and made our own charcuterie boards - it was wonderful! We had a large group (at least 20?) and were a bit late for our reservation but the staff handled everything wonderfully. We made beautiful, delicious charcuterie boards, learned some great tricks for making our own at home, and had plenty of time for appetizers, drinks and mingling. I was really impressed by how well orchestrated the class and apps were - you have your little station at your seat with everything you need and can make your board while snacking and sipping and at the end of the “class” the team wraps the boards perfectly so you can get it home. I had an hour long train ride home after and everything was still perfectly placed when I got home. I’m looking forward to going back!

Can I just how great of an experience we had? Susie kept up with us, gave us good recommendations and actually kept on with our orders! First time here and definitely be back. Also the food was great, the steak and eggs was cooked perfectly! Mimosas 10/10

My husband and I had a great valentine’s day dinner experience at the board room. The food was tasty and drinks were great. Our waitress Susi answered all our questions and took great care of us despite being extremely busy. I applaud all their staff for handling the busiest night for the restaurant industry with grace and respect. The brunch menu is also 10/10 and our personal favorite. We highly recommend this place!

Came here for a mom’s night out during the week. Great vibe, drinks and service! Rebecca was our server and was very attentive and informative. She let us know in advance when last call would be for drinks and food, and always made sure that our group was ok and did not need anything. The drinks were great! I had one of the red wines, but some of the other members of my group ordered different winter cocktails which I heard were delicious, and also looked really pretty! Our group had a lot of fun, and we plan on returning again. Thanks Board Room for being a great spot for our mom’s night out!

Beautiful restaurant with a warm, inviting atmosphere and stunning interior details. The bar is GORGEOUS! We ordered the Firecracker shrimp and Armenian Steak tips with rice—both delicious! I met a friend who was in town visiting so we arrived early (around 4:15) as the first guests, and watched the place quickly filled up, which was a great sign. Service started a little slow but was friendly and attentive. Plenty of parking. Highly recommend and can’t wait to come back to try more!

Excellent service. The menu is well diversified and it has GF and V options. However ordered the Shrimp Ceviche but it didn’t have any flavor. Other than that, the flavor of all Cheeses were great and well diverse.

My friends and I visited The Board Room on a Sunday night to celebrate a friend’s birthday. The place had beautiful décor, and although soft background music played, the overall noise level was quite high due to a large party in a private room. Our server, Lexi, was amazing but the service felt a bit slow—from taking our orders to receiving our food and drinks. I think it’s because she’s the only server serving the big party and other tables in the restaurant. We love her nevertheless. We tried the Fall Martini Tower, with our favorites being the Apple Butter Old-Fashioned and the Espresso Martini. We ordered a variety of dishes: • Firecracker Shrimp – A hit with everyone! • Korean Beef Crispy Taco • Teriyaki Beef Bao Buns • Pan-Seared Scallops with Couscous • Fettuccine Your Way with Pesto Sauce – Unfortunately, the pesto lacked flavor. Also, the couscous and pilaf were overly salty. We ended with a flourless chocolate cake and complimentary vanilla ice cream, which was a delightful touch. The server even sang for our friend’s birthday, adding to the fun atmosphere. Overall Experience Despite some inconsistencies with the food, the evening was fun, and we enjoyed the ambiance and service. A good spot for a celebration, though the noise level could be a bit much at times.

Went there on a Wednesday night and it wasn't too busy at all. Very modern vibe with darker colors and brass all over. Fairly average selection of beers but the cocktails were elevated. I had the smoked old fashioned and they smoked it table side which was fun. Food was very good but I wanted more for the price. Will probably skip the salmon tartar next time but will double order the Moroccan carrot salad. Overall it was an enjoyable dinner and drinks and we'll definitely be coming back

I had to return the food… at least one of the dishes Anniversary dinner turned out to be a not so good experience. I really hope they managed to fix the problem with the Pumpkin Spice Gnocchi… that thing was unbearable and the little we ate kept giving us trouble throughout the night. Other than that; they have great “Bar Bites”, great choice of cocktails and drinks and the atmosphere was good with a lot of people filling the place. I didn’t want to give them just one star since they managed the problem professionally. They took the food back and threw it away. Am not sure if they have taken note or addressed the problem though since no one really asked what was wrong or showed any interest in taking constructive feedback. I can recognize the efforts of the crew both in and outside the kitchen when the place is packed and that’s where the stars are going. Other than that I doubt I will try this place again… who knows

Cute, photo-worthy decor and vibes. Nice wine selection! Loved the bottle of Tapestry from Paso. We ordered a bunch of share plates: dumplings, wedge salad, bao buns. Chicken Scallopini Piccata for large plate. Food was good, but missing something. Just didn’t wow me.

I love going to this spot. It's so chic and stylish! But I've never sat at the bar, and I don't think I will again. The bartender was great! She was really on top of her game even when she was busy. She is a tiny woman with long dark hair. Maybe Angela? She was fantastic, as was the food, which is consistently yummy. But I couldn't stop looking at the hanging glasses... the array of wine, martini, and champagne glasses would be beautiful IF they were clean! I've never seen foggier cloudy glasses, especially hung for all to see. I recommend checking your glassware before sipping.

Drinks and our appetizer salads were good, but service was nonexistent. My wife and I desired to order entrees after receiving an appetizer, but nobody ever came back our table. We literally waited a half hour and ended up leaving to have dinner elsewhere. Even trying to get someone's attention for the check was challenging. On our way out, there were multiple people at the hostess stand doing nothing and they didn’t even say thank you or anything else.
