1st - time visit. Amazing experience. The best coffee cake that I’ve ever had. It’s so delicious 😋. Freshly baked, moist and buttery, with a cinnamon sugar layer in the middle topped with crumb. Perfect with a coffee. I also tried their California scrambler. Country potatoes, were very yummy. Service was excellent. Although it’s an extremely busy place they are very well organized, move fast.. Staff is very friendly!
One of the most popular and packed breakfast and lunch places in Redlands. The food and service is Awesome the waitresses are amazing the owners are amazing. The lower atmosphere rating is because its sooo packed. Dont be fooled by how many patrons are here because this doesn't have any affect on the service you recieve whatsoever. The food, service and coffee cake are worth the wait. My family and I go here very frequently and we love it!!!
Hello Everyone — Happy Holidays !! I’m writing this review with an intention to provide the right info. (Section wise) so that it can help people to take the right decision when going to this Cafe. Intention of this review: To Serve the Community with right set of Information. Who can be the audience for this review? Local redlands people and people like me traveling from Irvine to Joshua Tree National Park; Midway breakfast or brunch place. Location (5/5): Very nice location and convenient from freeway. Beautiful community. You can take nice pictures outside. Safety (5/5): Felt very safe and there were large crowd when we reached around 10 am pacific. Ambience (5/5): Just great. We enjoyed thoroughly and it was festive season so everyone was in happy mood. Food (5/5): We ordered (1) hash brown (2) Spanish Omelette (3) Crispy spicy friend chicken sandwich with french fries (4) Coffee Cake. All dishes were delicious! Special call out on Foods; Hash Brown, Spanish Omelette and Sandwich. All so yummy! Service (5/5): Our servers and all staffs were so well behaved and trained that needs a spacial call outs. Our servers cut the sandwich into 2 plates ( it was too much for us) so nicely and distributed the french fries also for my wife and daughter, we loved it! Restroom (5/5): I’m calling out this since it’s very important for all travelers like us. It was very cleaned and maintained but there will be ~15 mins waiting time. Overall Waiting time (2/5): I’m so sorry to give 2 in this area. We had to wait for almost an hr to get a table. Important note; Pl book the table in advance or else be prepared to wait for 45 mins in the weekend. At summary : Since we were traveling to “Joshua Tree national Park” it sets our morning mood so well that can’t be expressed in words — positive & festive vibes by the Cafe staffs and guests. Good work to the team of Carolyn’s Cafe 👍
Carolyn's is one of my favorite places to go to when I'm in the area. The food is so good & service has always been top notch. The corned beef hash with mixed veggies & salsa are my go tos. They recently added a birreria omelet which had a generous portion of delicious birreria. Coffee cake is also a must try. Every server I've had has always been incredibly friendly and helpful. I love Carolyn's!

In celebration of wrapping up a semester of school, friends and I visited the renowned Carolyn’s Cafe. It was all of our first time. We heard that Carolyn’s Cafe offers great brunch options, and the reviews are Correct. As soon as we got the menu, our eyes could not rest as we were reading through all the variety of menu items offered. You can get a burrito, an omelette, pancakes, French toast, coffee bread, salads, hash browns, rice bowls, and more. We each got an assortment of coffee cake, pancakes, and omelettes. The portions are generous and range from about $15-$20 for a plate. We were regularly checked in by our server Lauren - thank you so much. The whole cafe bustled with family and friends gathering together to spend time with one another. I sensed a comfort of home just being here. There’s plenty of seating inside and free parking outside. Please don’t miss the coffee cake!
Whatever you get, be sure to order the coffee cake with it. I got the Fried Chicken Benedict, which was American breakfast food if I ever had it. There’s another chicken item in the menu: Chicken Fried Chicken, apparently that’s great too—recommended by the waitresses there. I’ll definitely try it out next time I visit.

The food was great !!! I definitely want to come back here before I leave town. The flavor of my burger was umami. , very tasty and rich, I like the sweet potato fries but I know next time I'll get regular fries since they're steak fries which are my favorite! My mom had the 2 egg breakfast and honestly , I wanted to have her meal lol. I wanted both meals but that just means next time I'll have her meal when I order next time. My sister has the cheese burger . I'll have a bacon cheese and avocado burgee next time as well
Best brunch place in the area by far! I love that they open early at 7am. Always busy so I recommend getting in line virtually via yelp. Everyone already knows the coffee cake is a MUST. Our other favorites are the egg's benedict and Denver scrambler, but you can't go wrong with anything here. Their seasonal pancakes are fun too!
Carolyn’s Cafe is the best example of a not-so-secret community restaurant with all the best qualities. The location is convenient to shopping, historic Redlands, medical facilities and a host of local businesses. The restaurant itself offers both indoor and coved outdoor seating, the menu is robust offer well prepared food at reasonable prices. Best of all is the service! These good folks make you feel welcomed and ‘like family’, even on your first visit. Give it a try, I know you’ll be back!

Wished the coffee options were a bit more elevated to pair with the coffee cake, though. If you're in the area, don’t miss out on this delightful cafe! I can’t wait to go back!

This place has become my go-to spot and for good reason. Every single time I come here, the food is absolutely delicious. I’ve honestly never had a single thing I didn’t like. Everything is homemade, fresh, and bursting with flavor, like it was made just for you in someone’s cozy kitchen. What really makes the experience even better is the staff. The waitresses are always so kind and genuinely sweet. You can tell they care about making you feel welcome, and that warm hospitality keeps me coming back just as much as the food does. And let me just say if you come here and don’t try the coffee cake, you didn’t really go to this restaurant. It’s a must. Perfectly moist, just the right amount of sweetness, and the kind of treat you think about long after it’s gone. If you haven’t been yet, you’re missing out. This place is the real deal.
What can I say about this place that has not yet been said?!?! I’ll start with their famous COFFEE CAKE.... oh it’s so good!!! I know it’s more of a dessert but we always start with it! The way the butter melts on it and the way it taste it’s literally like a party in your mouth! Place is pretty clean and the employees are all pretty friendly! Smiles all day long which is a BIG thing for me! Their Denver omelette, their burrito are always so good. This time I tried the BLT with fries and everything was so delicious! We always enjoy our time and food here. You can’t go wrong... and I love the diversity of guests here. If you ever come here, do not leave without trying their coffee cake!
