Dropped in for drinks and oysters on the terrace. The atmosphere was lovely, and my friend and I really enjoyed it. The oysters were delicious too! Would definitely return.

A huge thank you to the Boundary Events and Hotel team for helping us host an unforgettable wedding reception. Special thanks to Tara for her incredible support and meticulous attention to detail throughout the planning process — she was always available and made everything feel completely seamless. Clara and the hotel staff took great care of our guests, and everyone had a fantastic stay. On the night itself, Tara, Kat, and the entire team brought everything together flawlessly, from the food to the atmosphere, and our guests danced well into the early hours. We couldn’t have asked for a better team or venue. Thank you all so much.

The rooftop bar is beautiful, the cocktails were very well made, and the service was excellent. The fireplace is such a lovely touch, I’ll definitely be going back.

Had the best 4 day hotel stay at the hotel over the new years. The reception staff were very welcoming, thoughtful and accomodating. Breakfast delivered to the room was a big win- not your usual expensive meals either. The rooftop hosted lovely fireworks on new years . Will definitely be back.

Had an early dinner here for my mum's birthday. The food was really great, service excellent (the team sang to my mum and kindly put a candle in her dessert). Thank you! Mikey our waiter was really attentive and friendly. Such a nice, chilled, unpretentious atmosphere. Will be back.

Absolutely exceptional service from the staff at the rooftop bar! Sanchez was a dream server! Her attention to detail and recommendations made the stunning setting even better. 10/10 would recommend! Always ask for Sanchez :)

We had a lovely time at the Boundary. The hotel has a lively atmosphere in a nice spot in Shoreditch. Rooms are spacious and comfortable - a minor issue is the curtains, which let some light permeate in the mornings (the hotel offers efficient sleep masks to sort this problem). The staff was amiable, including those at the brasserie, reception and rooftop. A special shout out to Myriam, who was wonderful to us. Memorable stay in London.

Highly recommend Boundary bar & brasserie for a special event. I booked the Snug for my 30th birthday lunch and it was perfect. Staff were amazing, super attentive and made sure we were looked after, and the space itself was gorgeous. On top of that food was delicious & they took great care of the guests with dietary requirements. 10/10 and perfect for a special birthday! 😊

I had an incredible time at Boundary Rooftop! From the moment we arrived, the energy was spot on. The staff really made the experience, they were so attentive, fun, and genuinely added to the good vibes of the evening. Even though the place was buzzing, they were incredibly prompt, making sure our drinks stayed full and our food arrived quickly without us ever having to hunt someone down. To top it off, the music was fantastic and set the perfect mood for a night out. If you’re looking for a spot with great service, a great atmosphere, and a killer view, this is it. We’ll definitely be back soon!

One of the best hotels I’ve been!! The rooftop is to die for, and the drinks are really nice and affordable..staff is very beautiful and friendly and there is always good music and good vibes. Good place to network as well . 10/10

I visited the rooftop bar at Boundary Shoreditch with some friends and had a fantastic experience. The atmosphere was vibrant, with great music, amazing views over London, and a really well-crafted cocktail menu. I especially want to mention Martha, our waitress. She was incredibly attentive from the very start, gave us spot-on cocktail recommendations, and always checked in with a smile. Thanks to her, the evening felt even more special. I’ll definitely be coming back — both for the lively vibe and the outstanding service. Martha deserves a 10/10!

A party of four, we arrived in Shoreditch too early for a meal booked elsewhere, and thought it looked lovely here for a drink while we waited. All the seating was high stools, which I struggle with, being somewhat old and decrepit. The member of staff - and I'm livid I didn't get his name - really went above and beyond at a busy time, seating us in the restaurant. Writing it down doesn't convey the effort he put in. An act of kindness that really made my night, and was appreciated by all of us. A very welcoming place too - wonderful cocktails. Thank you so much.

One of my favourite places in London - Brasserie is fantastic for a brunch or evening drinks with friends (not to mention the banging Sunday roast!), whilst the rooftop is a great option for a special night out or some chill cocktails in the sunshine. The decor is stunning as well, but the real highlight is the team - they always make me feel at home!

We came here today at around 2:30pm. The waitress greeted us and informed us it was table service..she was brilliant. She gave us a menu gave us time to choose our drinks..there was lots of lovely drinks to choose from. I had a Shirley temple which was so good the waitress asked if I wanted another one and I was happy to oblige. The service was brilliant. It was a lovely setting to celebrate my birthday. It was quick and easy to pay as well. It was a great spot to people watch and enjoy London in the sunshine.

I came here by myself last night for a quick cocktail, as the place has a lovely atmosphere. Well, a quick cocktail turned into a couple of hours, thanks to the very attentive and friendly bartender, Shahid. He made me one of the best cocktails I have ever had, kept me company and just made me feel super welcome and looked after! Thank you very much, brother! Shout out to Ben as well, who is always so friendly and professional! They are both a credit to your company. Will definitely be back!

Great place. Great rooftop space and the interior of the bar and restaurant was brilliant too. Went for the pop up GF Pizza, which was stunning.

Stayed at The Boundary for 3 nights over the weekend, very spacious rooms, lovely design. We used their rooftop as our lunch spot and breakfast is classic spread. Very comfortable stay middle of Shoreditch. Close to Liverpool Street as our flight was leaving from Heathrow, easy to commute. Highly recommend.

Posh and chic hotel in a great location. Was there for 5 nights and thoroughly enjoyed the stay. Food and drinks in the restaurant was top notch. Shoreditch is a hip area to be in. Lots of options for eating out close by. Recommended

I had a great night out last Saturday in Boundary Shoreditch! We had a booking made prior to arriving so I’m not sure if they accept walk-ins! Very friendly and kind staff, always checking to make sure you’re happy with what you got on the table. Great, warm and cozy atmosphere. We dined at the top floor with 360o degrees view over Shoreditch and Liverpool Street! Very tasty food and inspiring cocktails. Clean, tidy and spacious. Loft takes you from ground floor to the top. Prices reasonable eg we were 3 and paid £130 (3 cocktails, 3 mains, 3 starters). Overall very positive experience and would definitely recommend for either a romantic diner, first date, double date or a relaxed dinner without loud music or rushed-before-their-feet staff. Unsure if accessible by wheelchair.

We went to the roof top bar for my friend birthday. We had a great lunch and they surprised her with a dessert and candle. Manager and staff were great from beginning to end. A special shoutout to the Manager Simi, thank you for everything 🌸

Superb hotel. Just off Shoreditch High st, this spot is in the heart of nightlife, which I love. So, if you’re looking for a supremely quiet hotel, consider elsewhere. That being said, I slept perfectly fine (they provided ear plugs & eye masks). The room was expertly designed, well stocked mini bar, tea, & coffee. The staff was so helpful from check in, room service, getting us seated at the roof restaurant, and check out. We dined at the restaurant frequently and everything was delicious.

I recently had the pleasure of hosting an event at Boundary Rooftop, and I must say, the experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, my guests and I were treated to an unforgettable evening. **Food:** The food was simply unbelievable. Each dish was a culinary delight, meticulously prepared and bursting with flavor. Every guest raved about the quality and taste of the food, making it a standout aspect of our evening. **Service:** The service at Boundary Rooftop was amazing. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that every need was met with a smile. Their attention to detail and dedication to making our experience perfect did not go unnoticed. Special mentions go to Costel Toma and Gianina, whose hospitality was nothing short of 5-star. Their warm and professional approach made us feel truly special. **Bartenders and Drinks:** The bartenders were outstanding, crafting amazing drinks that added an extra layer of enjoyment to the evening. The drinks were not only delicious but also beautifully presented, showcasing the skill and creativity of the bartending team. **Ambiance:** The ambiance of Boundary Rooftop is beautiful. The setting provided a perfect backdrop for our gathering, combining elegance with a relaxed atmosphere. It's an ideal location for any event, offering stunning views and a comfortable, inviting space. In conclusion, Boundary Rooftop exceeded all expectations. The combination of incredible food, impeccable service, and a stunning setting made for a truly memorable experience. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a top-notch venue with 5-star hospitality. Thank you to the entire team for making our event so special.

Wonderful. Wonderful. Wonderful. What a gem of a place. All staff were so accommodating- we arrived early as we ended up coming in on an earlier train. Not a problem. Shown straight to a table with smile. The food was delicious and the fish was expertly cooked. But the absolute jewel was our waitress Noa. She made us feel so welcome, made us laugh and just looked after us superbly. Thank you for such a wonderful evening.

Great meal! Very impressed with the food and the standard of service we received. Lovely touch to have a rendition of “Happy Birthday “ from the waiting staff! Only other comment is we would have preferred more of a gap between starters and main course - but appreciate the kitchen may have been quiet that evening. Overall a fantastic experience!

The BEST roast in London. The interior is chic, the ambience is fab and the staff are very welcoming. This is our local and we couldn’t be happier. See you next Sunday.

Lovely breakfast spot and good venue for events. The hot chocolate was just okay, and they brought food plates refills for our private breakfast event. The waiters were polite and service was relatively fast. The pancakes were good. The cafe generally has a nice ambience and the location is central enough.

The room I stayed in is beautiful, huge for London standards and with so much light. The hotel itself is perfectly located and very cosy. However, the rooms are very loud. They are all facing the street and at night you can hear people talking in the street, using the trashcan, even when the terrace of the hotel is taken out for the night - you ll hear it. I don’t recommend for light sleepers. If you have no trouble sleeping with noise then go for it.

Thoroughly enjoyed our night✨ The restaurant itself is stunning and very "Instagramable"; the mirrors, lighting, festive decor, it was all stunning. We had a true girl dinner with a bit of everything and it wss delicious, especially that mac n cheese. The highlight was the sticky toffee pudding. Fabio and the rest of the team that night were incredibly hospitable; friendly, welcoming and just a joy to be around, all of them. We will most definitely be coming back for more!

Started on the wrong front having visited possibly the worst roof top bar in all of the UK. Views of offices and building sites and a whopping £8.10 for two thirds of a pint. A solid -5* It would have taken a lot for the food to turn the evening around after the bar theft. To my surprise it delivered in style. Stand out starters were the juicy pork meatballs and warm foccacia, bubbly and fluffy in the middle. The mains were exceptional. Crispy skin, meaty hake on a wonderful pea puree. The onglet with the sauce was superb. Perfectly cooked and balanced with a real flavour punch. Possibly dish of the day was the mushroom pasta, el dente and downright delicious. Not at all busy which is a shame but possibly because of the rip off bar. Staff get a knock on some of the reviews but found them to be friendly and helpful.

Feedback for the rooftop resturant. I enjoyed the food and location. Must say the waitress was more interested in chatting and drinking then serving. Had to literally shout for attention to order wine! The male waiter was better. We spent £90 a head and the service did not reflect the cost however the food was very good. My sirloin steak was perfect.

Restaurant only- We were super happy with this place. It wasn't our intended destination but man are we happy we ended up here. The food was really good, from the gnocchi to the short rib, sausage, and pork cutlet, all of it was top notch. The "nearly outside" ambience was really nice, big open windows and an airy feel, made it very inviting. Full bar with good selection, and a friendly waitstaff that understood our timeline. Certainly would recommend and come back anytime we are in the area.

Rooftop review Firstly, on arrival there was confusion regarding where we were to be seated, initially we were sat outside we were moved to inside where asked if at all possible we could be moved back outside, they said outside was walk in only but they would move us as soon as they were able too, we were there for around 2-2.5hrs and I watched multiple walk ins be seated in those seats which was frustrating. We ordered the seafood platter and calamari, the Calamari was good and we really enjoyed it but the seafood platter was disappointing, it features langoustines which we were excited about but the quality of the langoustines was questionable one inedible and the others with no actual meat in which again was disappointing. Our server was lovely but service seemed disorganised which means we were left without drinks for 20-25 minutes to note the the temp at that time was around 30 and we were sat directly in the sun. When who I assume was the manager walked past I had to actually get her attention, I again asked if we could move to the outside section where she abruptly said “no” and when I asked if there were any other seats she said we are booked for the rest of the night (a contradiction to what we were originally told). I then asked for the bill and if we could pay by card as at that point I was really disappointed and just wanted to leave. Toilets were filthy, no toilet roll in multiple of the toilets and urine all over the floor and seats. I have been to boundary before and I really enjoyed it, the standard seemed generally higher and more organised. I had actually brought my boyfriend along saying how good it was so again really disappointing! I paid the service charge only due to our server being so lovely and trying her best in what is clearly a disorganised mess !

I have only had drinks with my friends on the terrace and had dinner for the first time the other day. The drinks and atmosphere were fantastic however, the food was subpar at best, the presentation of most dishes we ordered were not great, such as the 'King prawns', the burger was only allowed to be cooked to well done which is very unusual. I would overall recommend having a few drinks by on the terrace but not eat there.

Review for the Rooftop Restaurant/Bar: Whilst the decor on the roof terrace was nice, the inside somehow lacked ambience. Food was was good, tasty but very standard and safe in terms of flavour pairings. Not much adventure Absolutely not worth the price. Not much of a view, portions are miniscule whilst flavours are quite standard. The service was great however. All together not much of an Experience. I'd recommend 100 Shoreditch Rooftop for more ambience, more of a view and far better food. For the same price range.

Waiting staff lacked a bit of warmth and could have engaged people with less attitude. Nice setting, food and drinks but the staff let the side down unfortunately

The rooftop restaurant offers below average food quality for above average prices. The views are lovely, yes, but as a whole the value exchange is simply not there. Not worth it.

A

A sad reflection on hospitality: during three drinks and a plate of charcuterie in the rooftop bar, we only once had the impression of eye contact with any of the staff. I don’t know what the management are doing, but despite a fantastic rooftop setting they have created a culture of soulless drudgery amongst their employees. We paid rip-off prices for basic drinks, and would not return nor recommend it to others. In contrast, the ground floor bar staff are engaging, friendly and helpful.

M
Mike Cobb

We were very disappointed with our experience at the bar. The girl that was responsible for the roof top bar was very rude and unhelpful. We were directed to "any table outside" where we were continually bothered by aggressive beggars and people who were looking for money. The bar service was slow and the drinks overpriced and average. It's a shame as we have previously enjoyed going here but it seems to have gone down hill and we probably won't go again. There are plenty of better places to go in Shoreditch with friendly staff where you won't get constantly panhandled.

Shocking Lack of Hygiene and Accountability I’ve stayed at this hotel before, but this last experience was deeply disappointing. I checked in late and went straight to bed. The next morning, I discovered that the sheets were visibly stained with feces. I immediately called reception. The response? A casual “sorry about that.” I raised the issue with management, expecting a 5-star hotel to take this seriously. They chose to do nothing no apology beyond the initial call, no room change, no compensation, no explanation. For a hotel of this supposed caliber, the lack of basic hygiene and complete disregard for guest wellbeing is unacceptable. I won’t be returning, and I would strongly caution others before booking.

We booked the rooftop for a private event last week, arranged through the venue’s event executive, Tara. While the space itself is beautiful, the service on the night fell far below expectations — including unwelcoming and rude remarks from staff as we arrived. Given the service we experienced, we raised concerns about the 15% service charge (around £500) and asked if it could be removed or adjusted. This was declined without discussion. As I was not aware, that service charge was mandatory in the UK, I followed up directly with Tara afterwards, to raise these concerns. Instead of addressing the issue professionally, she was defensive and dismissive. She called me rude and entitled, and when I mentioned I might contact my bank or leave a review, she responded by accusing me with very serious allegations, - something I found incredibly inappropriate and deeply unfair. As someone who is German and communicates directly, I even offered an apology if I had come across as too blunt, but this was ignored entirely. Overall, the way this situation was handled, both during and after the event, was extremely disappointing. Especially after spending thousands of pounds. I would not recommend this venue to anyone planning a company or any type of professional event.

L
Liv Winter

We had high hopes for our visit, especially after paying a deposit and being assured we’d be first in line for seating on the outdoor terrace. Unfortunately, the experience was poorly managed. A staff member initially seated us in the terrace area, only for two other team members to come over shortly after and ask us to move in a manner that felt abrupt and frankly rude. The miscommunication between staff created an awkward and disappointing situation that overshadowed the visit. It’s a shame, as the setting has potential, but the experience left a lot to be desired.

Update: Their response is my case in point. You can’t negate the sequence of events just dismiss the sentiment as untrue. Pathetic. If you have time limits BE CLEAR at arrival & be consistent. My friend never arrived because I was told to leave. He & I were BOTH downstairs a few weeks before with no issues. Original: Between the table of 4 who were next to me for 2hrs+ & 1 man sat opposite me who was there for 1.5hrs+, they chose to ask me to leave whilst I was waiting for my friend. You’re better off going to 100 Shoreditch/Llama Inn rooftops for fair & unharassed service. I was meant to meet a friend here after work, as they were on their way, I chose to order an appetiser, do some work & wait for him. We intended to get a bottle wine, order dinner & maybe oysters. The waitress came over at 6:27 to say her manager asked for laptops to be put away after 6pm, so I respected that and put it away at 6:30 & ordered a glass of wine. Whilst there, I was ordering water because it was 30C but I also had a focaccia. The waitress then came over to ask me to order more than just water if I wanted to stay which I found reasonable so I got a glass of rosè. As soon as I was done with my 1st glass of wine, she comes back to say her manager asked me to leave if I’m not ordering more, I was fine to order more wine and she then refused saying it wasn’t enough.. She reiterates she was told to tell me to free up the table because I wasn’t ordering enough & there were more people waiting downstairs who were likely to spend more. I literally called my friend & said I could order more wine until he arrives. She asked how long, I said 30mins & she goes that’s too long & I just had to leave. I asked for her manager to come explain why I was being refused service in that way. Her manager (bald-headed dude) comes to say they expected me to stay for 1.5/2hrs max & I wasn’t buying enough like the table next to me. So I pointed out the ONE guy in front of me who only had a beer the whole time who they never hassled & who I’d visibly spent more than by that point. None of that making sense at that point, he tried to say I was told downstairs that I had a 2hr time slot, that NEVER HAPPENED. He didn’t contest that but just simply reverted back to insisting that I leave. Not even because they had a reservation but just because of an assumption founded on pure ignorance. Ironically, I was due to have dinner &/or oysters and more drinks when my friend arrived but they insisted that I just wasn’t going to spend enough. That was insanely offensive because HOW do you know what we intend to spend? I would’ve at least understood if they said I should go downstairs to the other bar/restaurant or move to a smaller table upstairs or even that there was a reservation on the table but they insisted I just needed to leave for no justifiable reason. I hadn’t bothered anyone, broken any rules or provoked that decision and there were other people around me doing exactly the same as I was doing or even spending less than my friend and I were going to spend so that was the craziest experience. I don’t blame the waitress for relaying her manager’s instructions but they had no justifiable reason to tell me to leave in the way that they collectively did. They singled me out for what I can only assume was a discriminatory, presumptive, unfounded and unjustifiable reason. I’m moreso shocked that they refused to even take my order when I asked to buy more wine, how is that even possible? Doubt they care but I have no intention on stepping foot in that building again. They could’ve simply asked me to move downstairs or to a smaller table until my friend arrives. Asking me to leave like that was crazy! No-one should let this kind of behaviour slide. Seems the staff there are delusionally comfortable about articulating a prejudice in front of surrounding customers and still have a line of people waiting to support their business. I finally have the mental energy to address this case to avoid complacency & I encourage others to not simply ignore such encounters.

We were told we could order food before heading up to the rooftop, and we clearly mentioned that we wanted to order food. Once upstairs, we tried several times to get the attention of the staff to place our drink and food order but were completely ignored. After a long wait, we managed to call over someone on the floor, who still didn’t acknowledge us. Eventually, we got the attention of a waiter named India, who genuinely tried her best to rectify the situation—but by then we were told the kitchen was closed. While we appreciated her effort, it was too late. The poor communication and lack of attention completely ruined the experience

We were not greeted in a very friendly way when entering the bar, the barman just looked at us with a poker face and asked if he could help us. We are here for a drink Einstein. The cocktails were not very good either. At £14 each they should at least make an effort. Even better, get bar staff who are friendly and care about customer service.

Poorly designed rooms. While rooms are large for London, my room was on the 1st floor and right next to a busy street and I could hear all the street noise inside my room. While it's not a quiet area, I would think a hotel of this style would have at least some noise insulation. However, it felt like there was none, as if the window were open! When I called the front desk, they were entirely unsympathetic. Additionally, windows only have blackout shades, but not privacy curtains, which means having to completely darken the room to get some privacy. The overhead lighting in the rooms is very dark, so dark that I could not read the display of the thermostat and had to use my phone's flashlight to see the temperature. Bathroom design also makes no sense, as the floor is flat and there are no dividers so the shower water goes everywhere in the bathroom. Smaller issue, there is no shelf in the shower area to put soap.

Truly disappointed to experience the poor customer service provided by General Manager Andreas. He had a disrespectful manner, speaking to us rudely after asking for a drink, he also mocked myself and members of my party as we tried to leave the building, with statements such as “bye Karen.” I had much higher expectations of this establishment. While all the other staff were wonderfully accommodating and polite, it was shocking to see the unprofessional behaviour and lack of understanding from such a senior member of staff. I hope they can at least provide better training on how to interact with customers.

RESTAURANT ONLY My boyfriend and I came here for the Sunday roast while we were visiting in January and it was absolutely lovely and we couldn’t wait to come back. When we came back in June with the rest of his family for a Sunday roast, we were deeply disappointed. Not sure what happened as far as new kitchen staff or management, but the restaurant took a downfall in the last 6 months. Our meat was a horrible cut and it used to be a nice fine cut of prime rib. Our food was cold and cabbage was undercooked. Bread pudding was also way different than when we came in January and was also cold. They were nice enough to give us 20% off the bill and a free round of shots, unfortunately it wasn’t enough to encourage me to come back. Super disappointing as I traveled all the way from California to have the food again.

DOWNSTAIRS RESTAURANT: RUDE STAFF!! Myself and two of my pregnant girlfriends (one with a take away coffee cup in her hand) popped into the ground floor at Boundary on Sunday to have a breakfast catch up. I politely asked for a table for three (in a half empty restaurant) she looked quite put out and half pointed to an uncomfortable looking table in the middle. We chose to sit somewhere else that looked more comfortable for pregnant ladies. After 10 minutes a guy came over, I thought he was going to take our order but instead he said, passive aggressively “you can’t drink your take away coffee in here, we are a coffee shop”. Firstly, Boundary is a five star hotel with a restaurant, not a coffee shop. Secondly, a Five star service, or any decent service would recognise that a group was waiting to order drinks and food from you and the take away cup could be put in the bin. I called out we were clearly waiting to order but ultimately we didn’t want to waste our time anywhere where the staff are rude. He replied sarcastically “ok bye ladies”. I have NEVER experienced such shocking service in London at ANY level of establishment. If you hate interacting with people so much, do not work in hospitality. And after reading reviews, I can see that the service has repeatedly been called out as rude.
