We came here during Saturday lunch 2pm. The staff are very welcoming and smiley. We waited around 5mins to get seated but they took the order almost instantly. The food here is halal so I ordered the lamb kofta main and my friend ordered the aubergine. We ordered fresh home made lemonade which was slight sweet. They served the food very fast and it was tasty. Perfect for a quick shopping break. The kebabs cost £13ish each. Thanks for the great service.
I just wanted to take a moment to share my recent dining experience at this incredible restaurant, Le Bab Restaurant Battersea. As someone who is super picky when it comes to food, I had a feeling that this place would exceed my expectations, and boy, did I not disappoint! From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed by the warm and friendly staff, who went above and beyond to ensure that my experience was nothing short of amazing. I must specifically thank you, Tenzin, for your exceptional service. You were nothing short of perfect, from the moment you greeted us with a smile to the moment you ensured that our meal was served promptly and efficiently. Now, let's talk about the food itself. As someone who has a strict standard for what I consider to be great food, I have to say that Le Bab Restaurant Battersea truly did deliver on that front. Every dish was cooked to perfection and the flavors were simply out of this world. One of my favorites was the Dirty Kebab which was accompanied by a side of perfectly seasoned chips. The taste of the food was just as amazing as the presentation, and I couldn't help but feel incredibly full and satisfied after each bite. To top it all off, the atmosphere at Le Bab Restaurant Battersea was simply elegant and cozy. The overall ambiance was inviting and relaxing, allowing me to enjoy my meal in the most comfortable way possible. If you're looking for a restaurant that will provide you with an unforgettable dining experience, I would highly recommend Le Bab Restaurant Battersea. Thank you so much for treating us, and I can't wait to go back and try even more of their amazing dishes. On one particular occasion, I had a few issues with my recent visit and was reaching out to Imogen for assistance. She not only took the time to understand my concerns but also provided me with valuable advice on how to rectify the situation. Her friendly demeanour and helpful suggestions made all the difference in resolving the issue, and I truly appreciate her attention to detail and genuine care for her customers. I want to say thank you once again to Imogen Brearley for her kindness, support, and exceptional customer service.
It was our first experience dinning at Le Bab. The food was outstanding! Our favourite was the Dirty Bab, love love love the sauce! The portion of the meat is on the smaller side compare to traditional kebab but big enough to fill me up. We orders fried chicken which was also absolutely delicious! Service was great and the decoration was very trendy. Overall nice atmosphere and this particular location in Battersea gives a very relaxing vibe with the open space. We won’t be able to come back to this branch again anytime soon but we are glad to find out there is one not too far away from where we live.
Woww! This place has an incredible food. Delicious, tasty, high quality and a beautiful presentation. Cristina treated us wonderfully! She listened to us what we wanted to eat and she made us a very good recommendation for the menu. We will be back because the experience was more than satisfied.
First visit and was amazing! The chicken kebab flatbread tasted delicious and would highly recommend! Reasonable priced too. We ordered a side of twice cooked fries and they were amazing! Happy hour a few hours with Prosecco £5 a glass great deal to have over a dinner. If we are back in the area, we would come back.
Honestly, it's the freshest, tastiest food we've had for a long while! This was incredible!! Stumbled across this place whilst out in battersea power station, it was a Saturday night, and the staff managed to fit us in, we arrived with no booking. The staff were super friendly and the menu was excellent, food arrived quickly and the taste!!! OH MY GOODNESS 🙌 We hit the jackpot finding this gem while out and about, slight hick up at the end. They don't take cash, so be aware if you are like me and use it all the time, there are no signs up telling you, you can't. Otherwise, it could lead to an awkward moment... we resolved it, and we'll be back 😎
First time visiting le bab for lunch with my friend. The staff were friendly upon arrival, very attentive and even take your coat for you to hang up. The food was amazing I had a lamb kebab, the meat was succulent, and the honey drizzled halloumi and chips went down a treat too. My friend had a vegan bowl of various tasty delights which I had tried too, very tasty! Decent prices for food too. Would definitely go back!
We had such a beautiful dinner at Le Bab at Battersea Power Station — truly a lovely experience from start to finish✨ I have to give a special shout-out to Shezmin and Ani who were both absolutely fantastic. Shezmin was so warm, welcoming, and attentive — she checked on us thoughtfully throughout the evening and made sure we always had everything we needed. Ani brought such a sweet, positive energy to the table, and his recommendations were spot on. Together they created an experience that felt personal, relaxed, and genuinely cared for… the kind of service that really stays with you💛 The food was tasty, the vibes were great, and the hospitality truly made the night. We left smiling and will definitely be back. Highly recommend✨😘
This was one of the nicest meals I've ever had! The setting is a nice balance between formal and informal with comfortable seating and pleasant music (relaxed, stylish covers of classic songs) inside the converted Battersea power station shopping centre. The staff were polite and friendly, but not overly so, in that customer-service-so-good-it-becomes-annoying kind of way. The waiter asked if we were ok with very spicy flavours, and when I admitted to being somewhat pathetic in my tolerance of anything hotter than mayonnaise, he offered to put the chilli sauce in a separate side dish - perfect! Just genuinely pleasant staff. And both the food and drinks were reasonably priced and absolutely delicious.
Food AMAZING, service excellent and nice and polite staff who were accommodating and friendly. So many flavours in the food with all of our dishes, we particularly enjoyed the loaded fries and the kebabs, but all food delish! Hopefully we will make a booking at Kebab Queen later on in 2026! A great way to start the new year, thank you.
A great spot for lunch here at Battersea power station. The restaurant was very clean! there were no waiting times and it was spacious with plenty of seating. I ordered the dirty bab which was excellent, flavoursome and a good portion. The sauces provided were brilliant, red chutney and humous. One improvement would be to offer bigger plates as the meal can get messy! Overall, can be a little pricey for only a kebab but definitely worth a try if you’re in the mood
Delicious!! We had Broccoli, Hummus, something with aubergine and three different kebab. the service was excellent. Only one thing. It is a little pricey for the size of the portions.
Didn't have a booking, but we were at the power station and needed dinner. This place came highly recommended by Google, and it delivered! (On the recommendation). An interesting twist on the cuisine, and very tasty. Food was blindingly quick and hot. Staff was welcoming and friendly:)
Wowee absolutely delicious 🤤 The meals aren’t huge which is good as you can eat more sides. The standard chips were great and the loaded chips share plate was insanely good. Service was friendly and quite quick actually.
Food was amazing. There is so much flavour in everything we had. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Plus its dog friendly.
The staff in this place are really attentive even though the place is really busy. Everyone was super friendly. The food was delicious, the loaded chips and chimichuri hummus was my personal favourite. I can’t wait to go back.
Paid less than £20 for this. I had the chicken shish kebab and their happy hour £6 gin and tonic. Food and service was excellent. I would recommend if you are in battersea area.
Amazing food at affordable prices and fantastic service. We ordered the dirty fries to share and the small chicken kebab, both delicious. Plus the £5 happy hour is so affordable for cocktails in London! The staff are very friendly and the service is extremely quick. We will definitely be returning again soon.
Amazing food, great flavours and very well presented, would highly recommend and will definitely come back next time we’re at the Power Station.
Hands down the best kebab I’ve had in London. The food at Labarbe in Battersea Power Station is insanely delicious - fresh, full of flavour, and genuinely unmatched. We’ll definitely be coming back for more.
Absolutely loved our meal at Le Bab. Delicious food. Menu was great for our group with various needs! Lovely cocktails too
Best loaded / dirty fries. Worth it for that alone. This was a surprising experience, the flavours, quality of the ingredients, and portions were all spot on. The vegetarian options were ace too apparently. If we bump into one of these again I won’t hesitate.
Recently came to Le Bab for the second time. Wait was unnecessarily long considering the number of empty tables. When we got to the front of the queue, a waiter came and said it would be a few minutes wait. We then had a second waiter ask how many people were in our party and that she’ll be back in a minute. Then a third person came and said how many in your party, give me a minute. Once we were seated, the service was much better. The food came quickly. We ordered humous which was great, as well as a chicken and paneer kebab. Both of these were good although the wrap gets quite soggy. The fries are also good.
Couldn’t fault the food here, the flavours were gorgeous! We got the famous hummus, free range chicken shish kebab and the butter chicken kebab; all of which were really tasty. The only thing is that the portions are a little small for the price range, they should maybe give a little side salad with the kebabs but apart from that I would recommend!
The moment we arrived for an early dinner at 4.20 (Saturday), things went downhill fast. The receptionist’s greeting was so frosty the kids were already asking to go somewhere else. We were told to come back at 4.36, then still waited another five minutes to be seated, even though the restaurant was only half full and both sections were open. I wanted to give it a fair chance, especially after such a lovely experience at the Covent Garden branch, but the food didn’t help. Portions were very small, the steak arrived completely cold, and the wait times were long. The chips showed up only after all the meals were already on the table, and the dishes came out in two separate rounds with a ten minute gap. Not sure what was going on, but I won’t be returning to that branch. Credit where it’s due though, our SERVERS were BRILLIANT and really tried to make up for everything with their smiles and great demeanour.
Four of us went to Le Bab and honestly, it couldn’t be further from your standard late-night kebab spot. We ordered a mix to share – the Dirty Bab, Chicken Bab, paneer with beetroot, plus French fries with their ridiculously good fondue cheese sauce – and every single dish felt thoughtful and properly put together. The Dirty Bab was messy in the best possible way, packed with flavour and layered textures. The Chicken Bab was juicy and full of punchy, fresh flavours that made it feel light but still satisfying. The paneer with beetroot was a real standout – earthy, slightly sweet, beautifully balanced and proof that veggie options here aren’t an afterthought. Even the fries were next level: crisp, golden, and absolutely made for dunking into that rich, silky fondue cheese sauce (which we nearly ordered twice). Everything felt inventive and a bit special – bold flavours, great quality ingredients, and plating that makes you realise this is a world away from the usual kebab shop experience. Perfect for a relaxed meal with friends where you can try a bit of everything and leave properly impressed.
Excellent service; the food arrived in under 5 minutes. The only downside is that the place is a bit cold, perhaps due to the air conditioning, but it contributes to the food getting cold very quickly. Overall, an excellent experience and delicious food.
Le Bab is situated on the second floor inside the Battersea Power Station new shopping centre. Good Middle Eastern restaurant with a simple menu to choose from. We really enjoyed the hummus (do try ir, the za'atar makes it so special) and the garlic butter naan (does taste a lot like butter so if you do not like butter this is not for you!). The kebabs were ok, but nothing remarkable.
We just popped in without a reservation, yet the table it was pretty empty as ot was weekday afternoon. The food is fine, I’ll give 7/10. We ordered a chicken shish kabab and loaded fries . Not stunning but the flavour is good, sauce matches with the kebab so much, what a lovely combo! Note: If you register into there app you will get a free drink and points that you can use later in any branches.
I've been to LeBab Covent Garden and Soho a few times in the past, so was expecting food to be as good at the Battersea Power Station one, but sadly it was quite disappointing. The kid's pizza flatbread was basic, felt like they rushed the dish with some tomato sauce, cheese and dry chicken. My little one even had an upset stomach from it on the way home. We also had the chicken shish kebab which was meant to come with crispy chicken skin but it was only told to us that they ran out of the crispy skin after we received the meal and questioned the lack of it. Had we known before ordering, we would have chosen another dish from the menu. We also had the Dirty Bab which was decent but the kofta was not hot when the dish was served and it wasn't as tasty as I've had it before. I have to say though, the restaurant is lovely and clean, and the staff were really nice. They gave us a little discount on the chicken dish without us asking for it, so that was much appreciated. Such a shame about the food though! I wouldn't go back to this specific restaurant but I hope the standards haven't gone down at the other venues also.
Great spot for a meal in between shopping. The staff were all very nice, service was super quick. We had a dirty bab and a butter chicken nan. The chicken was pretty good, though I wish there was a bit more of the mint sauce and yogurt. The dirty bab had amazing flavours, but the cook on the lamb was very uneven, which was disappointing. Cocktails were decent.
It was ok, the portions are quite small. We asked about the halal options , it does actually have it noted on the menu and you can tell your server as well. It does get quite busy so we did have to wait a while for a table. Service wasn't too bad, considering it was quite busy our food didn't take too long to arrive.
We thought we would try this restaurant whilst in Battersea Power Station. Firstly they did not have the dish that we wanted to order from the menu. We chose substitute meals - superfood bowl and a ‘dirty bab’. Both were okay. Nothing to write home about. The ‘dirty bab’ was definitely not what was expected from the menu description. The superfood bowl was ok, nothing more. Disappointing that the meals were served on metal plates which we suspect was aluminium. 😮 Pity as the service was okay and waiter friendly. But we won’t be going there again. 😔
I don't tend to write bad reviews as someone in hospitality myself but stay away from this place. Went here for lunch with my parents. Beyond disappointed after reading the reviews and having some sort of hope. Starting with the decor and vibe, the only way to describe it is confused. The food: 'double' cooked fries were definitely double, if not triple cooked, and definitely not in a good way. Its almost like they were cooked for a previous guest, then cooked again for me. Famous Humous aims to mix peanuts, curry and pesto together. Ambitious to say the least and made us feel quite sick, with enough oil to make it an invasion target for the US. Hummus came in a bowl which was broken aswell. Superfood bowl had no pomegranate, or pomegranate dressing (was like diluted olive oil instead and waiter proceeded to tell us it was pomegranate (it most certainly was not)). Also the "celery salsa" was chopped celery and chillis, nothing else, and most certainly not a salsa. The kebabs were ok, ordered the lamb steak kebab and chicken shish. Nothing to complain about, nothing to write home about either. Service wasn't great. Resturant was 3/4 empty, probably should've been the first sign, and took over 5 minutes for the host to find us a table. Was finished eating before she checked if things were alright, and proceeded to walk away before we could say anything.
Customer service here is poor. Walked in and said if we could get a quiet table as it was my my mums birthday he ignored it and sat us down anywhere. Lady came to take the order and half way through me speaking she walked off???! She came back and asked us the same questions another 3 times repeating herself. As if she wasn’t focusing on taking our order. The kebab is quite oily and chips are okay. Disappointing service. Not somewhere I’d go again for the food or the service.
Was expecting good Middle Eastern food but was left disappointed. Staff was attentive, the service was great, and the presentation was tempting, but the food was awful. Ordered some fries, dirty adana, and rare steak. The steak was inedible, but the adana was worse. It arrived on an exceptionally small plate, piled high, making it challenging to handle either with my hands or a knife. Furthermore, it had an unusual odour and a lingering, unpleasant aftertaste. Wish we had dined somewhere else. I'm not going back.
I really like the food here but very annoyed at how they charge the bill. There is 12.5% service charge automatically added on and then when you go to pay on the card reader they ask if you want to tip (options of 10%, 15%, 20%). So they have what seems like a sneaky double tip that .If you are not wise to it and went for the 10% option on the card reader you’d end up a 23.8% service charge! There should only be one service charge and you shouldn’t be asked twice!
We ordered two spring tap cocktails at happy hour, what we received barely tasted like any gin was put in at all. Then our steaks arrived barely room temperature. Charged us for water which they didint make clear was bottled then still charged service charge for nothing. Learn to make actual drinks please
Great food, but very disappointing service. The food was genuinely good—fresh, tasty, and well-prepared. Unfortunately, the service did not match the quality of the food. Our waiter didn’t take our order properly, and because of that, the rest of my family received their meals and finished before we even got ours. They ended up leaving early because we were still waiting. What made it worse is that the gentleman who seemed to be acting as the manager never came to check on us or ask if everything was okay, even though it was clear there was an issue. If the service were better and more attentive, this could have been a wonderful dining experience.
The food is overpriced for the small portions. The chicken wrap was the size of a small side plate, chips too salty and the fried chicken was dry. The server on the other hand was very polite and attentive but this does not make up on the quality or price of food. Will not be visiting again.
Tried to get a table for 2 at lunchtime at Le Bab, half the restaurant was full and the other half was almost empty. The front of house told us there would be a 15 minute wait because they needed to clear tables. I asked if we could maybe get a table any sooner (as we had ice skating tickets so were on a schedule) she rudely replied no as “we’re busy and we need to polish cutlery’’. Seemed strange with half of the place empty but I said we’d have a think about the wait and pop back. 5 mins later when we returned other customers had been seated and tables were set in the area she said we’d have the wait for. Poor customer service, made to feel unwelcome.
I spend so much money at le bab, i love the food - they serve great dishes! However, they never fail to get my order wrong. Usually I correct it before I leave the resteraunt. Yesterday I went in, ordered a lamb dish - i think they knew they didn't have it - yet gave me my food and stapled the bag closed (they dont usually do this). Absentmindedly I went on without checking - i get home? They gave me a different protein!! And I wouldve rather they were honest and said we dont have it than give me something i didn't want! Without fail - EVERY TIME a mistake with my order - every single time. The first 1 or 2 i just ignored, everyone has off days - I even want to blame myself, maybe im not clear. But the deceptiveness this time really rode me up the wrong way. I even asked for a receipt but didn't get one, and just left it veause the manager seemed distracted (not because they were busy - i was the only customer and it was 4 on a Thursday afternoon). Never have this issue at their soho branch. Its a shame. I will still go because the food is amazing but im going to be extremely clear and continue to demand a receipt every single time.
