Lokkum Bar & Grill

Lokkum was very accommodating, really tailoring their private dining space for my brother's surprise with his friends. The food was great, with good options, and they let us have a DJ and decorate early. It was a great space and an even better team who helped us with everything from the planning to the actual execution. This is long overdue; it was in August, but it was so good that I was reminded to share this now! The only thing I can’t remember is the waiter from that night, but he deserves a pay rise. He handled the load incredibly well and was very intentional and caring. Shout out to Ertan and his team that night!

Came here yesterday for a surprise private birthday dinner and it was AMAZING! A couple hours before, our room was upgraded for free to an upstairs heated room with better interior, bluetooth speakers inbuilt & our own private bathrooms. Staff were really helpful & patient, despite the large group - a special shoutout to Imam who was our waiter for the night for his friendliness and the excellent service provided! 10/10 experience & would recommend :)

I came here for my 21st birthday and it was hands down the best birthday I’ve ever had. The service was so fast and perfect, all items came out on time, we never had a problem and if we asked for something they would bring it to us straight away. The fact that the whole restaurant was so busy, yet they still have perfect service and gave the best experience. It didn’t even feel busy to me until I walked around and saw. I was never sat there waiting. They really can handle so many customers at once. I’ve eaten out many times and seen busy restaurants struggle, but not this one! The atmosphere was so welcoming and wholesome, they put a big sparkling candle on my cake when they didn’t have to, they reserved a huge spot for my party and put so much effort into this. The area they gave my party was so peaceful and serene. I loved it. The effort was really noticeable, the waiters were so respectful. They followed all our instructions perfectly, the presentation of food was amazing! The way the restaurant looked was amazing. The food was cooked and seasoned so well! I don’t usually have lamb chops in Turkish restaurants but this lamb chop was so succulent, all the meat on the platter was soft and appetising. And the live show was spectacular. The lady who performed was very kind! I would definitely recommend this place to everyone. It’s perfect for parties and big gatherings. I’m sure you will leave with a smile on your face, just like I did. They are all so hospitable and didn’t rush us at all. It felt very relaxing and peaceful here. Thank you to everyone who gave my family such a wonderful experience. I took mostly videos because I wanted to catch the full beautiful place, so I will screenshot some of those to share here.

I was here for my aunts 80th birthday party. We hired the upstairs part. The food was excellent. I ordered the steak and seriously it was the best steak that I’ve ever had. Everyone else enjoyed their food and the staff were attentive and friendly.

Super nice food - loved the rib-eye steak - in a really nice setting. Staff were friendly and courteous, and there was plenty of parking for a Tuesday evening. A bit pricey, but made for a lovely dinner. Will be back again!

The food here is exquisite. The atmosphere is amazing. They have a belly dancer part way through the evening performing. Overall, it's a great restaurant, and if recommended giving it a try.

We celebrated a 40th birthday last night, and Lokkum was everything we desired. The food: delectable!!! Everything was well prepared, plated beautifully, and served with laughter. The atmosphere: vibrant, classy, welcoming. The space is tastefully decorated, tables are well spaced to allow privacy The service: top tier service!!!! We were treated like VIPs by the entire staff. They were entertaining, attentive, and responsive. I loved everything about this experience.

This venue is truly impressive and capable of accommodating any type of event you might have in mind. If you're planning a party, you'll find it has everything you need. The Turkish food is expertly prepared, and it's delightful to watch the chefs at work as they create these dishes. The desserts are delicious, they are quite sweet—something to keep in mind for those who need to watch their sugar intake. Lokkum is a place to return to.

The food was so delicious!! Customer service was amazing, they really can't about how you were serviced, the tables being cleans. They just have a high standard. We went out for a birthday, so we kinda did spend a lot that also because we order alot of staters and everyone had a main but again the food is reasonable. Portion are decent, I didn't feel as they were being tight on anything. We went on a Thursday evening. There was quiet a few people.

I recently hosted a bridal shower at Lokkum, and I truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm, elegant, and inviting—perfect for such a special occasion. The food was absolutely incredible! Every single dish was packed with rich, authentic Turkish flavors. The mezes were fresh and flavorful, the mains were cooked to perfection, and the baklava… don’t even get me started—unreal! Every guest kept raving about how delicious everything was. But what really made the day stand out was our amazing waiter, Imam. He was genuinely one of the best servers I’ve ever encountered. So attentive, kind, and professional—he made sure everything ran smoothly and made our group feel so taken care of. Imam truly went above and beyond, and his presence made the celebration feel even more special. Thank you to Lokkum for helping create such a memorable day, and a huge shoutout to Imam for being the heart of our experience. I’ll absolutely be back—and recommending this gem to everyone I know!

I recently dined at Lokkum Bar & Grill and had a great experience thanks to Farhad and the manager. He was attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and gave excellent recommendations. He checked in at the right times and made sure everything was perfect without being intrusive. His professionalism and friendly attitude really made the evening even better. Lokkum hosted my 30th birthday private dinner, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience from start to finish. They allowed me to access the room a few hours early to set up and decorate and even helped with setting everything up. They were on board with every idea and request. On the day/night, the staff were incredibly helpful and attentive, making the whole dinner run so smoothly. The food and drinks were delicious, and the overall atmosphere was perfect. My experience was amazing, and I’m so grateful to the entire team for making my birthday so special. Thank you all!

Such a beautiful bar, grill and venue. Held my sons birthday dinner party here. Service impeccable and staff very courteous, friendly and accommodating. Food was nice well cooked also. Very clean. Decor is very exquisite love the red carpet effect and the glass room. Definitely recommend.

Excellent establishment, could not recommend enough 🙏 We were a large 20+ party for a surprise birthday meal, the staff were friendly & very attentive the whole night, from helping with the surprise to speedy service the whole night 👏🏻 The food was delicious, very generous servings, and good value for money. The restaurant itself was clean, well laid out & the decor photo worthy. I highly recommend for any planned celebrations, I will definitely be returning. Nice atmosphere and quality food. The portion were generous even for the starters & delicious. Sigara Boregi, creamy mushroom and the mini burgers were so tasy, as well as the Wagyu burger and the Tomahawk! Really enjoyed the B'day dinner. Highly recommend it.

Went here for valentines day and really enjoyed the food. I had a mixed shish and it delicious! The meat was so well cooked and served. My partner is usually picky, he had lamb chops and liked them but he found the prawns he got very tasty. The atmosphere was great! There was a live/saxophone on the day which was a bit too loud for my liking, and it was very busy on the day, tables were a little crammed, however, it was still enjoyable. I found that their menu doesn’t have too many options. It was more simple but still had good options. There was no complimentary starters like normal Turkish restaurants. I found their prices to be alright. They have a small off road private parking area and the restaurant is easily accessible. The staff were very busy on the day so I feel like our service wasn’t very personalised it seemed a bit rushed but I guess that’s understandable. Toilets were clean and so was the rest of the restaurant. The kitchen can be seen from the seating area in the back of the restaurant which is great. Would recommend for friendship groups and couples, maybe just not on valentines day as I believe they tried to accommodate as many people as they could, which kind of took from their service quality.

Great experience, currently outdoors areas, free small parking on site which is a plus, on the day we went, there were enough spaces, cannot comment on any other days, it is not that big, perhaps 25 to 40 car spaces.. Now for the food steak was great, well cooked and garnished.. Prices for the drinks were a bit MEH.. cocktails and mocktails both available. Everybody taste is different for me was on a slightly bland side, but still food was decent, good environment, summer time should be better, although they had heating, open air still makes it cold. Staff were friendly.

Lokkum was warm, welcoming, and whilst it had quite a small menu compared to other Turkish places in the area, it appeared to be well thought out. We chose to share most of the hot mezze items on the menu rather than ordering a meal each and most of it was delightful. I would just say that the scallops need a bit of work. It’s not easy to please 3 people that work in hospitality themselves but the cocktails were lovely, the staff were accommodating and everything was lovely. Thanks Lokkum, I’m sure you’ll see us again!

First thing first, food is reasonable. I enjoyed the food. The restaurant is well decorated but not loud. Friendly service and staff tried to help me to get WiFi as their WiFi was down and reception in the area is really appalling! Food 8/10, service 8/10, ambience 8/10, value for money 7/10.

Very good quality dry aged steak. Lovely decor and classy restaurant. Ironically the Turkish cuisine is not as good. The deserts were lovely especially the filo pastry with ice cream.

Very lovely location however we were over charged during a party where 1 drink was included in package so be vigilant.

We spent a lovely evening in this restaurant. Food was amazing. Pan fried chicken in white sous, fried vegetables were so amazing, I thanked chief personally. Mixed Grill was OK, Adana kofte is too spicy, I did not like it at all. Cocktails were average.

Came here in October for my friend’s birthday dinner. The food was lovely, staff were amazing and big shout out to our server Bekir who went above and beyond for us. Food wasn’t too pricey, same as the drinks. Will definitely be returning!

Some food items are lovely. Some have been warmed up in a microwave (falafel) and those items weren’t so great. Gorgeous interiors, but when people go out to smoke, the whole restaurant smells of cigarette. I might visit again

Beautiful setting, lovely decor, the ambience really sets your heart singing, only the meat display at the entrance was not very appealing. Lovely Turkish food but having been to many Turkish places, it's nothing extraordinary. The staff served a happy birthday platter of dessert(not requested, but assumed) as it was booked as a birthday booking and tried to charge us for it. In response to this the manager's behaviour was inappropriate and not very well received or welcoming. If the management of this place changes, it certainly will be a lovelier place to visit!!!

We came here for my husband’s birthday and overall the food was really good. Fresh, tasty and nicely presented. However, we specifically chose Lokkum because their Instagram mentioned live performances on Friday and Saturday nights, which felt perfect for a special occasion. Unfortunately, when we arrived we were told that the performance had been cancelled last minute. It was quite disappointing as I had looked through many options and decided on Lokum because of the vibe and the promise of live entertainment. So while the food and atmosphere were nice, I left feeling a bit let down that what was advertised wasn’t delivered, especially on a night that was meant to feel extra special.

The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated and customer service was excellent. However unfortunately the food was not good for the prices you are paying. Comparing to the other many Turkish restaurants I have been to it didn't have alot of the traditional Turkish dishes and quality was not up to good standard. The starters were good - would recommend the creamy mushrooms and chicken wings. I ordered sea bream for main which was undercooked and when the waitress happily took it back to get recooked it still came back undercooked with jelly. My sister in law ordered the Prawns and rice which came cold and unflavoured. The toilet facilities were very poor, unclean, dirty tissue spilling out of the bin and very unhygienic - it makes me think that if the toilet isn't clean then what is their kitchen hygiene like? The atmosphere in the restaurant was very loud, there were 3 large groups when we arrived and was very boisterous. On the website it states a dress code policy however the guests were all in tracksuit and trainers. There is good parking available at the restaurant - probably around 10-15 spaces and a side road where you can park. There are a few stairs to enter the restaurant so not sure how a wheelchair user would get into the restaurant. However there is a large space to manoeuvre around inside the restaurant.

Good food, clean and fresh ambience. The terrace seating was lovely especially with the sun out and the open roof. Food was really nice. Sharing platter more than enough for starters. However smaller portions for mains. They also insist you must order mains- something about policy. Customer services not great. Could be better and more attentive.

Nice restaurant I just discovered. The atmosphere was good. Interior decor was good. Enough space in between diners' tables. The food was just ok, at least what I ordered was ok enough, but I've had better to be honest. The lamb shank was the smallest lamb shank I've ordered ever, and it tasted like it was boiled in minty water rather than cooked in some proper tasty sauce. The gravy didn't help. The steak was better. Succulent and buttery. I didn't like the boneless chicken wings. I don't think it was chicken wings. It tasted and looked more like chicken nuggets. If I ever visit again, I will never order that again. I want my chicken with bones. There's parking on site. The restaurant has so much capacity for diners. Inside, outside, upstairs and a smoke room apparently. I'll probably visit again sometime. Hopefully, they see this and do some improvements on their lamb shank and chicken nuggets...sorry chicken wings.

Nice atmosphere but over priced. Service was excellent but didn't like the fact that the 12.5% service charge was mandatory and this was not anywhere on their website. Mixed shish was tasty but the chicken wings starter lacked flavour. An ok place to go and celebrate an occasion but wouldn't go again just to eat.

I recently visited this restaurant for a large birthday dinner. The interior is quite beautiful with a red carpet at the entrance. I entered the restaurant with my brother and his girlfriend and we were all pleased by that fancy entrance. As we had booked for the private room upstairs, the layout of the area was spacious and allowed the DJ to perform loudly. I don’t drink alcohol so I can’t comment much on that, however I did order a virgin Pina Colada which tasted nice. I would definitely say it took a while for the starters to be brought out, not sure if there was problems with managing a large party but i was a bit irritated by that. The starters tasted good, flavourful and plenty of different sauces to dip them into. One of the servers that I thought was quite attentive was a young curly haired man, but I was unable to catch his name. He seemed to be working hard in light of the busy party. Unfortunately, many people were having problems with the way the grilled meats were being cooked. Personally, my mixed shish was cooked well and tasted good. However, some people got the latter where the red meats were pinkish in the middle. Prior to ordering, I had only heard those who ordered steak being asked how they want their meat cooked so I don’t believe it was a fault on the guests. I for one wasn’t asked about how well I wanted my shish to be cooked so I believe this was the same for quite a few people in the restaurant. I didn’t stay for desserts but overall it was a mediocre night. There were good starters, good drinks and okay mains. For the quality and amount of food served, I thought £40pp was overpriced. I’m assuming this issue was due to a lack of staff, I hope they’d fix it for the future.

Felt mixed emotions coming here. Returned after a few years and it just didn’t feel the same. We went at 9:45 (the restaurant closes at 11, the kitchen, at 10:15) and felt extremely rushed. Waiters seemed annoyed when we wanted to order additional drinks, were reluctant to give us the dessert menu because ‘the kitchen was about to close.’ With such a high service fee, you’d want to experience better service! We paid the service fee, of course, but felt the luxury of dining was spoiled by the constant reminders of closing time - even though we’d had ordered as soon as sitting down and left by 10:30. I wouldn’t recommend, only because I have paid the same bill at much nicer restaurants, with much better service and this wouldn’t be one I’d return to again. On a positive note, the lamb Adana was wonderful, everything else, sub-par. Also, mocktails were not good!

We booked Lokkum Bar & Grill for our Christmas dinner party for 16 people, mainly because of the advertised entertainment and atmosphere. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. Despite booking in advance, we were seated in a secluded corner of the verandah/conservatory, away from the main restaurant and entertainment. This was never communicated beforehand and completely undermined the reason we chose the venue for a festive group event. Service was poor overall. Although our waiter Kesavan was polite and did his best, the bar service was abysmal. Drinks took far too long to arrive — to the point where food was served before drinks, which is unacceptable for a pre-booked large party. To be fair, the food itself was nice, but good food alone does not make up for poor organisation, lack of atmosphere, and extremely slow bar service — especially for a Christmas event with a significant bill. Based on this experience, I would not recommend Lokkum Bar & Grill for large groups or organised events.

I came here for a NYE hostess and staff are not welcoming at all. We were seated in the gazebo side for some reason today and it was very cold and the decor atmosphere were lacking. I had to keep my jacket on through out. When going toilet the main seating area was empty. The starters were lacking the lamb tacos genuinely smelled like fish and had no taste. The houmous with the lamb had a very strong taste of lamb and was not nice. To be given 5 pieces of bread for a £12 is a joke. The lamb for mains has a very strong smell and taste. It puts you off your food. There needs to be a serious look at there meat supplier as the lamb smell and taste is not good. Stick to the chicken in this place Overall this place has lost its spark I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone anymore. There are many better places out there now.
