Really delicious food! To begin we had the fish tacos, prawn tacos and tomato salad. All were fantastic and the flavour combinations on the tacos tasted well thought out. Then finished with the barbacoa lamb shank build your own tacos and elote side. Dessert was their special of cardamom and ginger tree leches cake. All was gluten free and we left very full. The cocktails are delicious and the hibiscus agua fresco was so refreshing. The staff were attentive without being pushy and informative about the menu. Will definitely come here again.

We came here for my in-law's birthday. Been to Mexico this is a fantastic place to eat. Not crowded and we could enter with our dog. Attention was great (Jaime), and the food, especially the lamb, was superb. Will come back. Muchas gracias por todo :)

Nice taqueria! Food is very tasty and service was really friendly. Jaime made sure our lunch was great from start to finish. Atmosphere is quite lively and fun.

For a fancy night out, Santo Remedio is a fun evening spot, especially if you need gluten free. The staff are really friendly and attentive. As for the food, it was all delicious, and presented beautifully. Fish tacos are excellent. Save a little room for dessert as the chocolate cake is ✨scrumptious✨! Essential to book ahead.

I brought my wife here for a surprise birthday lunch, because she loves Mexican food and she absolutely loved it. The service was great, with all of the stuff being quite attentive and timely, given how busy the place was. We didn't have to wait very long for everything. All of the dishes were really tasty, fresh and very nicely presented.

Had the most delicious meal tonight at Santo Remedio - had been wanting to try this restaurant for years and I’m kicking myself for not going earlier as it was so delicious! Shared the tuna tostadas and the fish tacos, and got an order of the pork belly tacos whilst my friend had the potato flautas. 10/10, I felt like I was back in CDMX! Finished it off with some churros with dulce de leche. Delicious and highly recommended, I’ll be back without a doubt!

I thank everyone for their warm welcome. • "The menu showcases the best of Mexican cuisine, with authentic dishes bursting with flavor." • "The options are varied, going far beyond the basics, and demonstrate a commitment to representing authentic gastronomy."

Ate here in a group of seven on a Saturday night. It was very busy and pretty loud so if you like a high energy atmosphere this is likely a good place for you. Food was very good and arrived quickly whilst being fresh. Our server was extremely busy with tables but when we ordered drinks they arrived speedily. The Hibiscus margarita was particularly excellent

Santo Remedio delivers on its promise of fantastic, authentic Mexican flavors—from tacos and tuna tostadas to beautifully plated sharing dishes, the food really stands out. Unfortunately, that culinary high point is somewhat dampened by inconsistent service—several requests went unnoticed. The restaurant’s lively, colorful interior sets a fun mood!! And the churros were absolutely wonderful!! soft, melty, and perfect. All in all, a great spot for a food-focused outing.

went with the girls for Bottomless Brunch and never had to ask the waiter to give us another round, perfect food recommendations, would definitely go back, thanks to Dannie for making us have such a good experience!

Delicious food and great service! My friend and I went for the £44pp tasting menu, which was a fantastic way to sample a variety of dishes. Both my friend and I used to say that we aren't Mexican food fans but we were obviously eating rubbish, this food is exceptional. The tuna tostada was the standout for me absolutely bursting with flavor. We had the beef short rib and absolutely every single ingredient owns its space on the dish. Who would have thought plantain and feta cheese go well together?! The hibiscus margarita was amazing too, super refreshing. Love the fresh guacamole, I regularly order it just to enjoy at home. The space is cute, homely, and not at all pretentious. Highly recommend, and I will be back in the very near future.

Very friendly and attentive service. Food was very nice, had the pork tacos, Chiles en nogada and lamb and would recommend them all. For dessert, had the churros (gift for our anniversary so a big thank you for that) which were very tasty. Also had the chocolate cake which had an ok base but the mousse on top and cream to the side helped elevate it.

We came here with friends and had an amazing evening. We had no reservation but were offered a table right away. The food was amazing and the service was great! Olivia was very attentive and even kept up with us constantly switching between Spanish and English :) many thanks, seguramente volveremos pronto!

This place is super cute, Jessica our server was so friendly and helped out with recommendations. Absolutely everything we had was delicious - from the guacamole and authentic corn tortilla chips, to the pork belly tacos, hibiscus quesadilla, and the Mexican chocolate ganache. Highly recommend and would definitely come by again next time we are in the area. Thank you!

Amazing evening and dinning experience. Jon, our server, put the cherry to it. He and the rest of staff were so attentive and put all effort to make sure we had the best time. Food was so tasty too. We will return soon for sure. Thank you 🥰

Cute spot for good Mexican fare - while we didn’t like the fish taco, we really liked the tuna tostada, the vegetable tostada, the soft shell crab tacos, the veggie flautas, the sweet potato, and the elote. Our server was friendly and helpful, and service for the food was pretty quick, though it did take a while to get our drinks. Nice ambiance with bright colours and lots of natural light, perfect for a weekend brunch.

Maybe one of London’s best kept secrets. Highly, highly recommended!! I’ve eaten here twice. Alone. The beyond-warm reception from the staff is undeniable. I’ve sat at the bar both times and I’ve taken Valentina’s recommendations for food and cocktails - you don’t even need a menu! Having lived in East London for >10yrs, and having loved so many of Hackney’s highlights, I feel like this place is REALLY special. If they were in Hackney the prices would be twice as high and the place would be booked solid daily. Do not miss this one. In a competitive area in Bermondsey / Southwark - this restaurant really stands out. Big kudos to Valentina for being an exceptional host too.

I've been going out for years in London Bridge but never knew this place existed. This place popped up on open table when we were looking for dog friendly places to eat, so we gave it a go. The food was outstanding. We went for the tasting menu, which was definitely filling after a few dishes, it was colourful and delicious. Short rib cooked to perfection. Atmosphere was great too. We'll definitely be coming back.

Had dinner before Xmas holidays. Lovely vibes! Olivia was our waitress. Genuinely friendly and professional, she helped us choose our dishes. We tried the pork belly tacos, short rib, spiced grilled pineapple, and of course spicy mango margs. The food arrived quickly and was super tasty. Great experience! Will definitely come back to try more dishes!

Had a lovely meal here! The food was really good — fresh, tasty, and nicely presented. The atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable, perfect for enjoying dinner with friends or family. The staff were excellent — friendly, attentive, and always checking in to make sure everything was okay. It really makes a difference when you can tell they enjoy what they do. Overall, a great experience! I’d definitely come back again and try more dishes next time. Highly recommend.

Went to Santo Remedio recently. Despite it being peak hour, the team was attentive and fast. We had a seabass ceviche, tuna tostadas, pork belly tacos and short rib to share. The food arrived quickly and it was delicious, with just the right amount of spice. Loved the cocktails too! Big shout-out to our waitress Olivia, who looked after us and gave us spot-on recommendations. It wouldn’t have been the same experience without her!

Had a great dinner at Santo Remedio. The food was very good and the service was very attentive as well. Jaime was very nice and considerate and offered an ice pack for my friend cos she had a sore eye. They also let us stay a bit late even as they were closing, so that we could finish our food and drinks. Would definitely be back again. This time a bit early than late 😀

What an amazing time we had at Santo Remedio. The food was amazing and our waiter Jaime very kind and accommodating. As a starter we ordered the Classic Guacamole and as a Main the Seabass Ceviche, Pork belly Tacos and Tuna Tostadas. All were amazing and arrived fairly quickly. For drinks I would recommend trying the housemade tepache. Overall a must-try!

Absolutely warm and caring service from Olivia helped us arrange a beautiful birthday celebration. The food was delicious and we truly enjoyed.

I had an amazing experience at Santa Remedio! I tried both the tacos and tostadas, and every dish was full of flavor and incredibly delicious. The freshness of the ingredients and the perfect balance of spices made for a truly authentic Mexican dining experience. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great food in London!

The only good taco I've had on this side of the Atlantic so far (I went for the pork belly). They also serve you actual grasshoppers in your tacos if you want though I wasn't going to try it. Guacamole was also excellent. Very busy even at 6pm on Friday night, had to sit outside, but they had heaters so it was bearable.

Amazing Mexican restaurant! The staff was so friendly. We didn't have a reservation, but the girl found for us a free table. The food was outstanding!!!! Cocktail Margarita - so delicious! It was a dining adventure!

Had a lovely meal here with my family. My husband is Latin American, and we love all Latin American food but have found a hard time finding good options in London. So happy to find this spot. The servers were so warm, friendly and accommodating. The ambience was incredibly chill, and the decor is eclectic and beautiful. We had the house margarita, sangria and hibiscus agua fresca. Lots of delicious looking options on the cocktail menu— can’t wait to return and try more. We really enjoyed the pork tacos, fish tacos, chilaquiles and chicken flautas. Everything was fresh and full of flavor. I could eat the plantains served with cream and queso every day. So good!! Lots of meat-free options which is nice. We also had the grasshoppers alongside our guacamole— we’ve only tried them a handful of times before so it was a nice treat/surprise to find them here. Desserts were great— particularly the churros which weren’t too greasy or overly sweet. Highly recommend this restaurant.

If you want to be wowed by a sophisticated menu that disguises itself with simple flavours, this restaurant shines! Atmosphere There are several areas in where you can be seated. The ground level of the restaurant is filled with lots of people, lively chatter with a gentle backing of mexican music. Up top is more the same but the space opens out into several distinct sections. When I visited, it was nice and quiet, again with the gentle backing of music. I felt very relaxed Service The people inside Santo Remedio are very friendly, before I even sat down I was offered a choice of drinks. When asking questions about the menu, I was given prompt answers and recommendations. The food was brought out incredibly quickly resulting in a short wait. I was checked up on a couple of times to ensure I was okay. I felt well taken care of Food I struggled to not lick the dishes clean. I loved how things were served, in very rustic but tasteful pieces. The flavours were expertly balanced and needed no additional seasoning. I really wish I had more time to try a dessert but hopefully next time

Great staff we showed up right before closing and staff helped us out. The tuna tostada. Pork belly tostados and fish tacos were all great. Drinks were good. Staff very friendly and helpful warning my niece about spice level in a dish. Would go back anytime

Had a wonderful lunch for a birthday and Father’s Day combined. Really impressed with the service. The tuna tacos were the highlight for all of us. Since there were 3 of us, our waitress was able to make the plates with 3 instead of 2. Very accommodating and will be back definitely. A bit pricy but it’s central and great food.

Food was great! The restaurant is also lovely, it was pretty busy and upstairs gets a bit loud… but we still enjoyed the dinner a lot! The food was delicious and the staff really nice! We ordered the guacamole with grasshoppers! If you fell brave you should taste it! The highlight probably was the tuna tostada!

S

This place has plentiful good reviews and awards and it’s easy to see why - if you’re in the mood for some Mexican food with authentic vibes you really must come here. It’s not the largest of places and although there’s two levels of seating you’ll want to make sure you have a reservation - within five minutes of opening it was already packed at the weekend! The staff were super welcoming and throughout the meal were really friendly and helpful explaining the menu and giving recommendations. There’s some interesting cocktails on offer and, although they took a little while to arrive, were presented beautifully and delicious, especially the Mezcalita Verde which has a super but not overpowering kick from the jalapeño. The food menu isn’t overly large but what is offered is all amazing. In particular the pork belly tacos and elote were so amazingly tasty we’re still talking about them now! All the dishes are designed for sharing so it’s a really sociable experience, and with the decor feels like everyone present is friends with each other with a great atmosphere. I can’t wait to return and highly recommend!

The food was amazing and the server was so lovely and welcoming. We really enjoyed ourselves and the ambiance is wonderful. Highly recommend their prawn tacos (not on the menu) and plantain!

We had a fantastic meal at Santo Remedio. Olivia, our waitress, was outstanding — friendly, attentive, and genuinely made the experience special. The lamb shank was perfectly cooked, tender, and full of rich flavor. The micheladas were spot on — spicy, tangy, and refreshing. We ended with churros and dulce de leche, which were crisp, warm, and absolutely delicious. Excellent food, great service, and a brilliant atmosphere all around.

My friend booked this for her birthday dinner outing - what a place! The food, service and atmosphere were superb. I had the taster menu which was 3 courses + tortilla chips & guacamole for £42, great value. Also great cocktails. A special shout out to the tuna tostadas. Planning a return visit very soon 😃👍

R
Ryan Povey

Service and food were both amazing. We had soft shell crab tacos & pulled pork tacos + chicken enchiladas, all delicious. Guacamole with chips as a starter was a little expensive for what it was, but other courses and Jaime’s service made up for that. Would definitely recommend and will be returning next time we fancy Mexican cuisine.

Santo Remedio - Asador is a great spot for Mexican food near Tower Bridge. The staff are friendly and welcoming, creating a relaxed dining atmosphere. The lamb chops were absolutely fantastic—flavorful and perfectly cooked. There’s a good selection of dishes on the menu, and the margarita was well-made and refreshing. The location is convenient with easy access, making it a great choice for a casual meal or a night out. While everything was enjoyable, a little more variety in flavors or spice levels would have made it a full 5-star experience. Still, highly recommended for a solid Mexican meal in London!

Food is unique and flavourful. Not your typical mexican rather something different and varied flavors..but the service was just awful..clueless waiting staff running around..had to grab napkins myself..and never got the coffee we ordered.

Sorry but this comes as a reviewer from a Texans point of view . The food is good however there's much influence of the "way Brits do it" . Service was ok - very tight place . The atmosphere was good . However the food which is the most important thing....not authentic enough. Correct me if I'm wrong but anise in black beans ? The jalapeño/avocado sauce though good just had something that hadn't seen in Mexican sauces . Good though .

We often get hung up on places that MUST be 5 stars in order for them to be worth visiting, however this restaurant is a classic example of a good but not perfect experience that I would STILL RECOMMEND. Came here with a large group where a few of us arrived very late which the staff had no issues with so some drinks orders were taken. I opted for the Tepache which I had never seen or heard of before (a fermented pineapple drink) which definitely had a unique and mildly alcoholic flavour but was a bit too sweet for my liking, glad I tried it though! I was lucky enough to sip one of the spicy margarita's going round and it was truly exquisite. The waiting staff were on and off filling our water glasses without us needing to ask, although this did drop off towards the end. Once everyone arrived, we had our food orders taken. The only option was for the Set Menu but was made aware in advance of our arrival that the A La Carte would be available. However when we asked the waiter this he drew a blank and shrugged his shoulders. With us looking slightly bemused, another member of the team immediately swooped in remedying the situation providing us with the A La Carte menus. In the end we opted for the Set Menu which was a pricey £42 per head dessert and side supplemental charges (the dessert not being included is absoutely criminal in my opinion). There were a couple of vegetarians in our group which thankfully the set menu catered for but there was only one option so not ideal. The food arrived in due course and in general the portion sizes were good. We had plenty or tortilla chips and dips to share at the beginning. The two dishes that followed were quite similar, that being a soft/hard tortilla with something on top so not very creative in my opinion. However, they were very tasty so it's a small gripe. The final short rib dish blew me away, soft fall of the bone meat in a rich mole sauce, and the plantain was a unique addition - a delight. Overall the food was very good and hard to say anything bad about, for the £60 price tag, the service and menu options needs fine tuning for this place to get 5 stars. This place is definitely worth visiting as I would like others to form their own opinion and allow the team to build on their achievements.

The service from Jamie was really good. He gave his best recommendations and let us know what was popular on the menu. He was also very understanding and patient. Food wise the food was good, I had the pork tacos and the guacamole and chips! This restaurant is also amazing as it caters to those with gluten allergies and food preferences very well.

I came here for bottomless brunch, and it was fabulous! Really good value for money 2 courses and a pudding for £58 plus service charge. the staff are really attentive and always make sure the drinks are flowing! Jay our serve was a ray of sunshine 10/10

C
CamillaP

Good food, nice atmosphere, slightly pushy staff asking too many times if we wanted to order more food/drinks. The price is also too high for the relatively small portions. Cocktails prices between 12.50-15£. Additionally the vegetarian tacos are very hard to eat as they are not closed like usual tacos and very crispy loaded on top. Impossible to eat them without making a mess. As it was my birthday dinner the staff got me churros with chocolate and they sang “happy birthday”.

P
Princess

Food tasted good, the reason why my review is only 3 stars was because the prices were just too much for the serving. Serving of the seabass ceviche was so cute, looked like it was a lot on the plate but the plate was super flat. Tacos were good but so tiny, the lamb shank was amazing probably the only reason why I added 2 more stars. We were also shocked that there was a service fee on top plus the tip 💀 Felt like we were only paying for the "Michelin" on the front of their entrance nothing else.

R
Reneé Pereyra Elías

This is an okay Mexican restaurant in Tooley Street, between London Bridge and Tower Bridge. I am not very used to Mexican food and not sure if this is a reflection of it in general, but I found the food was just extremely mid. I was expecting to be amazed by it given that it says that they feature on the “Michelin guide” or something like that but the food is just okay. Putting three stars as my expectations were not met at all, and it was very expensive for what it was. Had some fish that was okay, and some flautas that were very mid. Also some fried plantain that was good but it is very difficult to mess that up. They have some fermented pineapple drink and a blended rice rink that were nice. For dessert, they had some bad version of tres leches which was disappointing. Most of the staff members were nice though. All in all, extremely mid food for an expensive price. 100% would not come back.

I visited on Thursday with a friend. We started with the chicken thighs, along with the soft-shell crab tacos and pork belly tacos, before sharing the beef short rib as a main. The chicken thighs were excellent, beautifully juicy and packed with flavour, and easily the highlight of the meal. The tacos were pleasant enough, but didn’t particularly stand out or leave a lasting impression. Unfortunately, the beef short rib was a real disappointment. While some parts were falling off the bone, they lacked depth of flavour and were slightly dry, while other sections had hardened completely and were inedible. I can’t fault the service. Our waiter was friendly and attentive throughout the evening and, after inspecting the dish, agreed it should not have been served and removed it from the bill. Despite the good service, the overall experience was underwhelming from a food perspective. For a restaurant featured in the Michelin Guide, this was somewhat disappointing.

I

This is our second time coming and the first time was great. We had the guacamole with the chicharrón, which was tiny and taste wise okay. We ordered the baja fish tacos, prok belly tacos, crab tacos, and baby potato flautas as well as elote. The food was disappointing, and very bland, the fish tacos had no other taste other than fish, the flautas lacked seasoning (the green sauce was okay). The only thing worth getting were the pork belly tacos. Such a shame because I was expecting amazing flavours.

M
Max Gonzalez

We shared an order of totopos con salsa roja and barbacoa. The salsa roja wasn’t a red sauce, it was a thick and strange tasting one. Neither sauces provided had any degree of spiciness. The barbacoa was really whole lamb shank in its juices with a small side of onion, cilantro and 2 slices of lime with tortillas. The lamb itself was good, but it isn’t Mexican barbacoa. There needs to be a lot more of the side ingredients for making tacos, the small amount provided with the order isn’t enough.

P

A very disappointing evening down at Santo Remedio. The restaurant itself is a little charming place with tasteful deco, but that where it ends. The food is average at best, most dishes boarder on the blame and tasteless, but at high-end prices. The only saving grace were the prawn and fish tacos. Wish we had orders more. The service on the other hand was shockingly bad. The waiting staff, were inexperience, lack customer service skills and simply didn’t have a clue. They were more interested in chatting than keeping an eye on their guests. We lost count the number of times we had to grab their attention, despite sitting right next to the service station. We asked them to replace the pork tacos that were cold, and heard the manager ask the waitress in a loud and disrespectful tone, “ which customer said it was cold”. The dish was taken back to the kitchen and replaced in less than 30 seconds, yes I did time it, as I could see the kitchen. Now you judge what they did, clearly aren’t made fresh to order. I now see why they’re lost their one star and have a lot to do if they want it back. Showcasing their 2021 Michelin star plaque proudly at the entrance, is very misleading, given they are so far from the quality and standard you come to expected. How they are still on the Michelin star guide, is beyond us. They do make some awesome cocktails, but that doesn’t make up for the poor food and shocking service We won’t be returning and rather eat at one of the Mexican chains down the road.
