Atmosphere was great. Went for the Chateaubriand which was really tasty and all the other courses were brilliant. All the staff were great and welcoming. Bloody Mary took my socks off but tasted great!
An Unforgettable Evening of Classic Excellence My partner and I recently had the absolute pleasure of dining at Steakhouse London Marco Pierre White, and it was an experience that perfectly blended timeless elegance with warm, impeccable service. We began our evening in the bar, settling into the sophisticated yet comfortable atmosphere with a cocktail. The Scottish Whiskey and Cranberry Crush was the perfect start – a beautifully balanced mix of robust whisky and the sweet, sharp tang of cranberry. It was both refreshing and complex, setting the tone for the culinary delights to come. For starters, the Smoked Salmon was a masterpiece of simplicity. Incredibly delicate, with a subtle smoky flavour that melted on the tongue. It was clear only the finest quality produce was used. When it came to the main event, the Beef Bourguignon was nothing short of spectacular. This classic French dish was executed flawlessly. The beef was phenomenally tender, falling apart at the mere touch of a fork, and had absorbed the rich, deep, and wonderfully aromatic red wine sauce. Served alongside the creamiest, most buttery smooth potatoes I have ever tasted, it was a hearty and utterly sublime combination that is a true testament to the kitchen's skill. Somehow, we found room for dessert, and we were so glad we did. The Chocolate Mousse was light, airy, and intensely chocolaty, while the Sticky Toffee Pudding was pure indulgence – wonderfully moist, decadently sweet, and served with a luxurious sauce. A perfect end to a perfect meal. However, what truly elevated our night from a great meal to a memorable occasion was our server, Giovana. She was an absolute delight! Her recommendations were spot-on, her timing was impeccable, and her warm, engaging, and genuinely charming demeanour made us feel so welcome and cared for. She has a fantastic talent for hospitality that makes all the difference. Thank you to Giovana and the entire team at Marco Pierre White's Steakhouse. We cannot recommend it highly enough and will most certainly be returning.
Ivan was a true joy throughout the meal ! He managed some truly tricky customers next to us and always came back to us with charisma and patience - seriously good food, seriously good customer service!! Cheers Ivan and kitchen team! Great energy Ivan, thanks!
We enjoyed a 5-star meal at a 4-star hotel! We dined early so it wasn’t too busy. We were seated promptly by solicitous and friendly host. It was a Saturday evening and the staff advised that Starters and multi-course dinners are not served on weekends. We were fine with that. We asked for bottled water and my wife had a glass of wine and both were served quickly. I ordered the Fillet Steak Au Poivre and she had Ribeye steak. We added sides of green salad, onion rings and Gratin Dauphinoise. WAY too much food , but those were items we wanted to sample. The food was delivered in a matter of minutes… and it was all perfectly delicious. The Fillet was melt in your mouth tender and likewise the Ribeye. The green salad overflowing the bowl, the onion rings were amazing and the Gratin Dauphinoise was exactly what we had in mind. We highly recommend.
I brought my husband for dinner here. We could not book in advance so turned up and we were seated by Jade - what a wonderful waitress, friendly, attentive, helpful and very accommodating. We ordered starters, but they needed to be changed which was done with ease. The chef was very accommodating. We had caesar salad and macaroni cheese. The main meal was lovely and faultless - our compliments to the chef! My hubby had steak and I had a burger. He also had cheesecake and I had sticky toffee pudding which was huge but delicious. 😋 The only issue to note is cocktails were included in the deal, but they don't make them on site - a bit strange! But we were ogre wine or beer, and we had rose wine , beer. We were very happy with the alternative. As I said Jade was lovely and is an asset to the team, she was very lovely. We will be back as it was very nice and so was the restaurant and ambience!
Celebrated my birthday here this weekend and it was absolutely amazing! I couldn’t recommend this more. Amazing food and service, will definitely visit again
Service was outstanding 👏 very clean restaurant and food was tasty. Medium rare steak was more Medium well done but would know next time to try rare. Onion rings were great.
We went here on Saturday night , using a red letter days voucher . It was for a 3 course at menu for 2, with a cocktail (or alternative ) . The staff were welcoming and attentive throughout. The service wasn’t quick but we didn’t mind that as we were in no rush and it made it more of an evening rather than in and out quickly . The atmosphere in the restaurant was cosy and relaxed with low lighting . For starter I had beetroot and goats cheese salad which was lovely , my husband had French onion soup which he said was delicious . For main I had steak which was cooked to perfection and hubby had a burger . Although both full we had to have dessert ! (Especially as was included in the deal ). Husband went for pistachio ice cream as he was especially full , I had the cheese and biscuits and wow there was so much but it was so delicious I ate quite a lot of it . We finished with coffee . Couldn’t fault any of the experience and would definitely return . A wonderful evening !
My family and I went for an early Xmas evening dinner and it was the best place I have been to everyone who say it’s not worth the money it’s totally is I was full after the first 2 courses still had pudding but it was the best will be back for 3 year anniversary celebration perhaps
Food was really good and the service was fantastic
Amazing evening everything was perfect. Especially the steak and cocktails
Excellent food and cocktails for our dinner experience . The customer service was amazing. We were looked after so well by Jade, Kumar and Ludwig and we highly recommend this restaurant. We will definitely be going back for sure.
Good quality food and not too overpriced considering London averages. Friendly and helpful staff. Would recommend 👍
The food was absolutely amazing. Being a Christmas, it was exceptionally quiet in the restaurant, The fillet steak was very nice, served with mushrooms and a very tasty sauce 😋.
I went there with a gifted voucher and not high expectations because of the reviews . I personally run restaurants for the past 22 years and I found the food fantastic, service good and great value for money . Margarita Onion soup, Sirloin steak and Stiky toffee pudding were all spot on ! Seems many guests are being very unreasonable . I couldn't fault a single item i tried. Steps of service all spot on . Keep the up the good job 👏 👍 👌
My boyfriend and I had a voucher for a three course meal with cocktails and it was lovely. After reading the reviews we were a little concerned but didn’t need to be It was lovely our waitress selina was very friendly. The food was nice and so were the drinks. Very nice experience
Just enjoyed a meal at the restaurant, we had a virgin voucher for a 3 course meal and cocktails. We were pleased with the options for both food and drinks this evening. Jade our server was very friendly and explained how the voucher worked which was good. Nice menu, ambience and location. Thank you
Nice three course dinner with good flavours and decent portions. Selection is fairly safe, so easy to find something to your liking. Well presented and excellent service. Situated inside the hotel only 3 minutes from Angel tube (about 15 from King's Cross).
Food and service amazing. Mackerel paste is really good. Portion size could be better. One star missing for the no pram policy :(
Food was lovely no fault with that at all. Onion rings are delicious well worth getting a side order. Service started well George was exceptional problem was once he took our order ended up with 3 other servers took over two hours to get 2 kids starters 1 adult starter. 2 kids mains and 2 adult mains and finally adults gave up wanting a deserts but the kids had a desert each. Service was very slow had to ask 4 times for our side orders to arrive. Finally arrrived when we had all finished our mains. The staff did appologise but damage had been done. Well worth going as the food is good and priced well just give yourself plenty of time as they are slow.
My husband and I are very fussy eaters, and we were very worried when given a voucher for this restaurant as the reviews are not good, but we were wrong. The steaks were juicy and succulent and cooked exactly as we wanted them. Service was good, restaurant itself was a bit too hot but apart from that everything went well!
Be careful here as they have a lot of hidden charges. I was gifted a Virgin Experience 3 course tasting meal. We were not informed that the water they bring to you is chargeable at £6.50 a bottle. We were told that anything with supplement was chargeable and the waiter encouraged us to have sides without telling us that you had to pay extra for them. It is a rip off. The steak comes on its own so you have no choice but to add chips as a side. I knew the the liquer coffee had to be paid but the expected bill of about £30 ended up being £78. It did spoil what had been an enjoyable meal...
We were gifted a 3 course menu with cocktails and sides. We did arrive a little early and the place was packed, at the tables and at the (small) bar. Not a real problem. We ordered the pate and smoked salmon as starters, so far so good, in fact, the pate excellent, just wish I had a third piece of sourdough so it did not have to be piled so high to get it all eaten. But it did taste good! Mains. My wife had the beef bourginon with a red cabbage side and I had the 7oz house steak (rare) with fries and a pepper sauce. The beef was quite tasteless and a little fatty only made better by the red cabbage and very smooth mash. The steak was medium rare and had little taste (I actually said to the very pleasant and affable Brazilian Maitre ‘D that if their steaks were as good as my local butcher they would be incredible). I was very disappointed in the flavour, hardly any, and the cooking (was medium rare at best). Not a patch on what was promised or suggested by such a renowned Chef’s name. For dessert we both had the lemon posset, that was one of the best I have had for a longtime, wonderful and credit where credit is due. The black americano I has as well was a lovely flavour. The wine was a typical London restaurant price so no complaints there. The bill arrived. We had the prepaid 3 course menu with cocktail and side. They tried to charge us for the side. I did point it out and they very apologetically removed that cost - why was it there in the first place, seems they charge without looking at the booking. Overall I feel there are some good points, but there needs to be more focus on the individual diner rather than the volume coming through the door. Would I return? Not as it stands.
Ate here with friends as we're staying in the hotel. Scotch egg was tasty and cooked perfectly. Fillet steak with the garlic & mushroom was just ok. I was expecting more from the Marco Pierre White connection, but I'm guessing it's just one of many of his restaurants in the UK.
Had good expectations, food was nice but nothing special. Service was ok not great. I’d describe it as simple done good.
Nice yet fairly average food, despite the price and unbelievably hot in the restaurant. Nice for a change but would need a good reason to return.
Went here for our Anniversary dinner on a Virgin Experience voucher (most of the people here seemed to be doing the same). The food was nice however we did have to correct an order when the food came out. Even though you are dining on a gift voucher you do still have to pay a cover charge and service charge which we were not aware of.
Service was really slow. The restaurant was not particularly busy and they didn't appear to be understaffed. Our drink order was taken and processed reasonably quickly but we were left sitting for ages before anyone took our food order. As many other reviewers have pointed out, the voucher/gift covers only the bare minimum, almost everything - including bread and tea - incur supplementary charges. The food was ok but nothing spectacular, there are plenty of nicer, more reasonably priced, alternative venues in the vicinity.
Our waiter was great but both of our steaks were overcooked, the onion rings looked great but were mistly thick and greasy batter. such a disappointment especially as we were the only people eating at tge time. Offered free deserts as an apology.
Asked for a bottle of pino noir and got given the most expensive wine on the menu instead (still cheap). Service was super timid but friendly. To have a frozen burger delivered at something with Marco’s name on is astounding. Chips were fine. Béarnaise came out like lava. Telling sign should have been it was empty during dinner time.
The food was very good, but we had the worse service experience in our life. Nothing was right, we had to ask 3 times to have our drinks, and they forgot spoons for the soups, then mistake for EVERY meals we had… and it was the same thing for the table next to us.
Like many others, we went with the Virgin Experience voucher and quickly realised we’d have to spend quite a bit extra just to turn it into a normal meal. The setting is pleasant enough, if a little dated, but the tables are packed in rather tightly. We went on a Friday night and were surprised to find we’d actually paid £20 just to book a table. We’d assumed it was a deposit - our mistake, but worth being aware of! Drinks took about 20 minutes to arrive. The appetisers (smoked salmon blini and sweet potato soup) were quite nice. Starters were nice too we had the mackerel pâté and terrine - maybe 7/10. All fine really at this stage, if a little underwhelming overall. Then came the mains. We both ordered the 7oz steak, though we were encouraged to “upgrade” to a tomahawk steak for an extra £50–£60 — which felt absurd, or spend an additional 20 each on a different cut. The steak itself came only with a sauce - no sides are included. I added “king” prawns, chips (£12!), and a green salad (£8.50). The salad was tasty, if heavy on pea shoots, but the prawns were dreadful. They looked as though the meat had been stuffed back into the shells (I'm still not sure if the prawn flesh ever came from those heads, they weren't good and there was no juicy freshness to the prawns / heads). The steak was fine, but by that point, with the mounting costs and the noise from neighbouring tables (not because they were particularly loud, just very close), it was difficult to enjoy. The place feels like it’s trying hard to be fancy and post, but doesn’t get there. The staff were friendly enough but a bit hit and miss — sniffing at the table while serving, after asking, the wrong dessert was served with the "happy birthday" message, and leaving long gaps before clearing plates and glasses. I also couldn’t help but cringe when the waiter asked the table next to us if it was their 18th or 21st birthday with a tired fake laugh (they were clearly in their 30s - 40s)... then used the exact same line on us two minutes later. Just painful. Desserts were nice - my favourite part of the meal. We had the lemon posset and chocolate mousse. Definitely the best bit. Overall, not terrible, but for the price and the supposed “experience”, it fell short of what we had hoped. It was a lot of money.
We got a gift voucher to come experience 5 course meal for birthday celebration. After waiting 15mins for our timed booking we were seated. Waiters were friendly but sat so close to both tables next to us felt awkward having own conversation. Cocktails were nice as was course 1 and 2. Felt it went down hill from there. I had 7oz steak which i found very chewy and could do better at home. My husbund upgraded his meal to large ribeye which was very tasty but extra £20 on top of meal. This then went with fries that we had to upgrade to as well. Red wine was nice but tough drinking a small glass at a cost more expensive than entire bottle at shop!! Pudding was 25min wait to be ordered and mine was nothing special however sticky toffee was very good We were gifted a lovely voucher but spent over double amount ourselves to get an average experience. Couple next to us were complaining too Found place needed some love, very old fashioned and dark even in afternoon. Glad ive been but wouldnt go back
Truly awful experience. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone. Had a reservation for 21.15 15/11 and was told not to be late under any circumstances and even paid £10 per person just to make the reservation. Was told to wait next to the bar which was full of other people who were waiting and we were like sardines. After 30 mins we were no closer to being sat down. I asked the waiter for some free tap water and he said ‘we don’t do that here’ and walked away. We waited another 20 mins and in that time another group who had arrived just 5 mins earlier were sat down before us!? After 50 mins from our reservation we were then sat down. I got an email notification to tell me that I had changed my reservation details to 21.45 when I had done no such thing?! To try and cover themselves they made it seem as though I had changed my reservation! No one came to take our order for 20 mins after sitting down, I had to walk up to a waiter to ask to be served. Food portions were far too small and was merely adequate. Very little choice and everything that sounds relatively alright has a supplementary charge. I asked if we could have some complimentary drinks because we were waiting for so long and the waiter gave us no such thing. The men’s toilet was completely mouldy and in a horrible condition. The staff were just unsettling overall. Not helpful at all and not even a sorry for our table being delayed for 50 mins! Truly awful experience. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone and will be complaining to management.
Visited here with a virgin experience voucher, which every other table seemed to be too.. they have a section at the back with curtains drawn and I can’t help but wonder if this is where the guests without the vouchers still are seated. Meanwhile all the tables were we sat were far too close together! There’s plenty to choose from on the set menu, but the food is flavorless and many meals including sides come with extra charges too. Caribbean crush was green? With a foul taste. Service was good.
Went to the restaurant after pre-booking. Was told on the phone that the last orders are at 9pm. Why? So people don't eat there after 9pm. Dumbfounded. Got there at 9pm and had to wait for 10 minutes which was odd as it was almost empty with just one table of 6 being served. Then waited 10 minutes for the order to be taken after hailing the waitress. Meal, fish and chips, cheesecake, was brought in 15 minutes which was a great turnaround. Fish and chunky chips were actually quite nice although fish could have been cooked about 2 minutes longer so less soft batter layer. Mushy peas were bland and uninspiring however being hungry by 10pm being served meant eating whatever was served. The interior was very dimly lit. No idea if this is because of the energy costs or some art experiment by Marco!
We have been to a MPW steakhouse Co and liked it so much we asked friends for a voucher to attend another MPW restaurant. The difference from the second we arrived was stark. We had a £100 voucher and got a quality we would have expected from a wetherspoons. Waited 10m to be seated before then being put in a corner facing the road. The wine we ordered they then didn't have because they blamed supplier issues due to covid. They then said all they have is a cheaper bottle that wasn't even on the menu and seemed like it had been borrowed from the bar next door. We asked if they had cocktails like the website said but they said covid meant they don't do any at all any more. We then ordered burgers with bbq glaze and ketchup as a sauce on it, but only wanted one with the bbq glaze and the other without. When they arrived we asked which was which and they said they didn't know, then changing this answer to 'none come with bbq glaze because of covid' The burgers we got both had neither and for some reason had Mayonnaise on. We tried to still enjoy it as we know how good the sticky toffee pudding was from the other time we went to the MPW restraunt. When that arrived it was the same as a school dinner cake and was not even close in taste or presentation to the one we had last time. All in all we still were unable to spend the full 100 voucher and when we explained how upset we were for all the issues we had they just gave us a hot chocolate to leave with. Overall just a really upsetting experience made worse by the fact we have been looking forward to it for the last two weeks as what we expected was a treat we cannot normally afford which is why we asked for a voucher as a present. Wouldn't go back and wouldn't recommend. Surprised something with MPW name on can be able to continue when that's the level offered. Pictures are of the burger which was poor quality as well as the difference in pudding between the sticky toffee we had on first visit (London Steakhouse) and the one we got this time. (Kings cross/angel)
Came here for my partners birthday and was disappointed before we had even got inside, the picture on the website is not for this address, the image is for London steakhouse which is a 10 minute walk from Liverpool Street station and the one I wanted to book, when booking this restaurant it’s for a completely different address, the image used is deceiving as this one is inside a hotel…. We was then sat inside the empty restaurant next to another table when several were available, there wasn’t much privacy or atmosphere and with there only being two tables we waited 45 minutes for tasteless Mac and cheese alongside microwave mash potato and a steak half the size of the palm of your hand, I don’t believe this was worth the price we paid, the waitress was lovely but overall I don’t think this a place I would recommend or go back to, you also need to change the front imagine online as this throws a lot of people off.
Very disappointed with tonight’s experience. Orders arrived incorrectly, resulting in returns to the kitchen and when they came back again they were cooked more to order but still incorrect. Basically gave up with service and food order. Black coffee arrived at the end of the dinner with more coffee on the serviette than in the cup.., basic skills outstanding. Very disappointed with MPW quality standards on this occasion. Won’t be going back.
DoubleTree Angel — Michelin-Star Service, If the Star Fell Out of the Sky and Died” Turned up with a booking for five, ready to drop about £600 like idiots who thought this place was remotely competent. First waitress looked at us like we’d just asked to borrow her kidneys. Apparently, our booking was “not on the system.” Cool. Manager swoops in, finds it in about ten seconds — maybe he just used eyes. We finally sit down, thinking things are sorted. Then… nothing. Forty-five minutes of pure spiritual reflection on why we ever left the house. Not even a drink. We could’ve ordered, cooked, and eaten a full roast dinner in the time it took them to not acknowledge us. Eventually, we gave up and went to some random spot nearby Adan’s Pasta Bar or whatever it’s called — and the difference was night and day. Actual service. Actual food. Actual human beings who understand time. For a fraction of the price. DoubleTree Angel is the perfect restaurant if you’re into performance art where the theme is “neglect.” Bring your wallet, your patience, and maybe a tent — you’ll be there a while.
Surprisingly we had the same experience with some other people who left the reviews before. Booked tables, got confirmed and the waiter said he had no information about our booking. Then we still had a table as the whole restaurant was almost empty. The food is average. And the portion is tiny. Never again.
If there’s a minus review, I would have given that.worst food &very minimal portion. We were gifted a lovely voucher but spent a lot of money extra on it.Whatever we ask they says it’s extra. Definitely not recommended
Awful steak - how is that possible? Even I can cook a good steak! Generally an awful experience which was predicated on the basis of supplements- do my very generous present from a friend was obliterated by the overly heavy supplements on literally every course! Very duplicitous! I would not choose this experience- note to friend!
Had a voucher from our daughter - dinner for 2 table booked for 7. Arrived at 7. Gave reception the name table booked under. Told them we had a voucher. Gave them the reference. He said no voucher attached to the booking. Called my daughter who was on the motorway. Told her no voucher attached to booking. She wad going crazy. She pulled off the motorway to call to get confirmation after speaking to reception earlier today to make sure all was well. She gave us the voucher number again but the manager could not find anything attached to her name nor did he recognise the code. She called the reception over and over again speaking to various people who did confirm the voucher code saying it was correct and still the manager couldn't find anything to support voucher with £100. The manager said he did not recognise that voucher code at all. One hour passed and still unsealed my daughter was going crazy as we messed up her night as she ripped into the manger while on the side of the motorway. He asked several questions and eventually realised it is a voucher code and found her voucher. We were eventually seated at 8 or few minutes passed. I asked for scallops. It was terrible pure salt on everything. It was so salty that I choked. The waiter ran over and asked if she can get some water which she did. For the main we ordered fillet with prawns one with a side of onion rings and one side of chips. The steak arrived so dry and tough it was terrible. The manager, kumar asked is everything was OK or was it too dry. It was very dry so he removed the steak from my plate and my husband's plate at 20:45. One waiter asked did "you enjoy your dinner mam can I take your plate". I said i hadn't eaten yet and was waiting for the steak. The manager returned at 21:05 saying the steak would be returned shortly. 2 minutes later another waiter asked "did you enjoy your dinner shall I take the plate" I tried to explain i hadn't eaten and was waiting for the steak to be returned. She took the plate anyway. I called another waiter asking to remove the cold chips and onion rings and bring fresh ones. I also asked for some water. The waiter removef the jug from table to get water but never returned. Meantime the family on my left called the manager to complain about something meantime the woman on my left sent back her steak. So her husband ate alone. When they returned with her steak he'd eaten his dinner so they both ate alone. The woman opposite me was protesting about something and called the manager. There were only 4 tables in use. 21:10 they returned with the steak that was equally as bad as the first. By the time I'd received the fresh chips and onion rings my husbsnd had half eaten the steak. I'd taken a few bites but couldn't finish it. The manager returned to see how it was. I told him it was terrible equally bad. They asked if I wanted desert. Did I dare to try. I did that was equally bad. I ordered sticky toffee pudding at 21:40 it returned at 10. Service is very poor. The couple on the right called the manager to say what his wife receive first time aound in his words "was disgusting and should not have been served to anyone and I don't know what it was" The manager came over and spent 10 minutes speaking to us. We fed back and he said he was happy to hear He apologised and said he'd be speaking to the staff tomorrow. He also gave us a discount. Please Mr Pierre, show the cheft how to cook the different variations of steak. Explain to the staff how to communicate effectively. How to ensure families eat together and what they ordered is what they receive. 60 Pentonville Road. Help
B46VWIS4961ON Booked a ticket for The View from The Shard and Three Course Dining with Flight of Baby Cocktails for Two at Marco Pierre White's London Steakhouse Co. for 3/12/2025 for 1:45pm. Not clearly mentioned that The Shard and the restaurant are in 2 different places. 2ndly it was hard to book a table to restaurant. 3rdly, we have 2 starters, 2 main course, 2 sides, 1 desert and 1 coffee. I was guessing the restaurant may charge for 2 side dishes as we paid for 2 times 3 course meals. Which can be max £8.50x2=£17. But they charged us nearly £40 extra, without mentioning us that a dish is chargeable. What is the point of buying a ticket in advance????
PART OF THE VIRGIN EXPERIENCE SCAM Booked by my daughter as a Christmas present through Virgin Experience days. When you try and book, there is not a single date available, so basicly doesn't exist. This business along with Virgin are obviously happy to be involved with each other in conducting this legalised con (T's & C's mean they will send you on a beach walk in Skegness or something similar instead!🙄), and bearing in mind my daughter earns very little and this was a big present for her to buy me, I am absolutely discussed by the gutter ethics of anyone involved in this. As I am unable to sample the food my daughter paid tgis business for via Virgin, I can only share an anecdote from a friend who has visited. He said the cutlery and crockery were better than you get in Weatherspoons, but it wasn't a patch on Miller & Carter.
The atmosphere was pleasant, the service was good, and the location is beautiful. Unfortunately, the food was a major disappointment. We waited approximately 50 minutes for our food, which felt excessively long, especially considering the simplicity of the dishes ordered. I ordered a chicken Caesar salad. The chicken was extremely dry, I would even say difficult to eat, and instead of proper croutons there were large chunks of old bread. The bread was clearly not fresh – it tasted unpleasant and was neither crispy nor enjoyable. As a result, I was very disappointed and could not enjoy my salad at all. My child ordered vanilla ice cream, which was also a big letdown. There was no hint of vanilla flavour whatsoever. My child made a face and pushed it away. When my husband and I tasted it, it honestly tasted like tap water. Overall, despite the nice setting and service, the food quality was very poor. I would not recommend this place.
Embarrassing to connect this restaurant to Marco Pierre White's name and reputation. Booked a table for 5 for a celebratory meal at 8.30 on a Saturday night. We were told after booking to NOT be late by any means or they wouldn't be able to accommodate us... So, we turned up early for the booking only to find that it 'didn't exist' on their system by the rudest waitress I have ever encountered. Openly dismissive of her colleague who tried to help, and outrightly rude to us guests, her manager eventually took over who told us he'd have a table ready in 5 minutes. 5 Minutes later and we were seated, in a fairly empty-of-people yet incredibly cluttered dining room. It's not very often that you look around a room and EVERYONE looks miserable. We were given menus and some water and told the waiter would return to take our order. Only for 45 minutes to pass without another interaction with staff. They seemed to be dealing with countless other issues from other unhappy customers, so had no time to take our order. By this time we knew the kitchen would close soon and we felt our money would be better taken elsewhere - why spend hundreds on steak and wine when our presence is clearly not valued or welcomed? I can't comment on the food - as we never got to try any, however a 'glowing' reference from a fellow diner was, "we've been here an hour and only had appetisers so far. The food's alright, but the wine is good at least." Take from that what you will...
Well well well… what a disaster! Love Mr White’s in all other locations but this was simply diabolical! To start, we placed our orders for starters and waited 45 minutes for us then to be told that the waiter did not actually put the order in. Once the waiter did actually put the orders in, it took a further 20 minutes and was inedible. Main meals finally arrived after 1 hour 50 minutes and 2 steaks were overcooked while 2 mixed grills had a mix of overcooked and raw items. We spoke to the manager and he apologised profusely promising extra sides that the chefs had “kindly made” due to the wait. These did not arrive. The mains were also inedible and consequently were sent back. The manager heavily discounted the bill but we left disappointed and hungry. The waiting staff paid no attention to our needs or wants and it was evident they didn’t care. Safe to say a birthday meal to remember. Unfortunately, we will not be returning to this branch of Mr White’s but highly recommend other locations.
This was actually one of the worst meals I've had anywhere, after it was highly recommended. If it was my name on the place i would be ashamed. Had a reservation for 7 p.m., weren't seated until 7:30 although there were planty of open tables. Waited over an hour for our food. My ribeye was inedible. We watched a family with kids wait for 90 minutes for their food. I watched a waiter with a tray of hot food stand there for 10 minutes while I was waiting to pay the bill, and he was just letting the food get cold because he didn't know where it was going. This was so bad it was almost funny, except for the ridiculous price of dogfood. Never again!
