Sticks'n'Sushi - White City

Me and my girlfriend visited on the 19th of December to celebrate my birthday and had a perfect experience at our first meal at sticks ‘n’ sushi, Tomi took care of us most of the time and was incredible but everyone else who served us was amazing too, his attention to our requests and ease of convo was very natural and he honestly made the birthday meal a memorable one - i can tell already sticks ‘n’ sushi will slowly become one, if not my favourite restaurant, will be back soon!

Craving Sushi and Delicious meat? Try this place, it's a hit pricey - ended up spending over £100 for 2 people with a drink and plenty of food, but some of the best food I've ever tasted. The staff are lovely and the atmosphere is too. Recommend a visit. Book to ensure you get a table!

We had an amazing experience in this restaurant. I entered the restaurant with bouquet, because it was my graduation day. They realised that we celebrate something and brought us a delicious dessert 🤍 I highly recommend this place to everyone who likes sushi.

Had an excellent time at Sticks and Sushi. We had Romi as our waitress and she was very attentive, took extra special guidance through the menu giving us recommendations on what to try. We thoroughly enjoyed the food, the 10/10 service and the atmosphere. Be sure to try the scallops and beef with truffle!

Amazing food, amazing deserts (try the Matcha!!), very friendly personnel - the guy with the thin mustache is my favourite one although everybody of course is very attentive and polite! No words can do justice to this restaurant - try it and you won’t regret! Has become my favourite!

We had an absolutely wonderful dining experience at stick and sushi. The service was top-notch. Tommy, Mitch and Constantine were knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive without being overbearing. They explained the menu in detail, helped us pick dishes, and patiently answered all our questions. As for the food — it was simply exceptional. The sushi was incredibly fresh, with melt-in-your-mouth texture, and each piece was crafted with precision.

We had a great time here and enjoyed tasty food of the highest quality. They also have a fantastic kids' menu that our daughter really liked. Staff was extremely friendly and competent. Not cheap, but worth every penny.

My husband and I went together. We tried the California sushi and shrimp tempura roll, which were quite good, and the presentation was excellent. The service was top-notch, and the atmosphere was very pleasant. I actually preferred that there wasn't a huge variety of sushi. The menu is simple, but there are many tempting options. I really liked the group menus. I would definitely go again with a group of friends.

Exceptional experience! I dined here with a friend and we ordered the Valentines special, honestly the sushi was epic and the different courses and presentation of these added the surprise and enjoyment of a brilliant meal. On reflection, the service here provided by Tomi took this experience to outstanding. It’s this kindness, warmth and attentiveness that adds beautiful experiences and my sincere thank you to Tomi for this. What a brilliant person, with amazing energy, an absolute rockstar! Looking forward to visiting here again. Thanks again for making this special.

Had lunch after walking around in Westfield at Sticks and Sushi. The food was absolutely amazing — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The service was great from start to finish, attentive without being overbearing. A special thanks to Maddux for making the my tiring day better with his excellent recommendations. He really knew the menu and helped us choose some standout dishes. Definitely looking forward to coming back!

I had a fabulous solo fine dining experience at Sticks N Sushi. The staff were absolutely fantastic, hospitable, kind and friendly. My dishes were all sublime, and I would definitely get them again or the same but with a variation in flavour. Everything was prepared to absolute perfection and the taste as always was divine. Thank you Sticks N Sushi for making me have a comfortable and relaxing evening. It was soo needed and I feel so refreshed! I also love the dim candle lighting effect in this branch, it is so otherworldly. I went for a self customised three course of : chicken gyoza, California rolls and salmon teriyaki sticks, which were all exquisite, followed by a lovely palette cleanser of the elderflower sparkling cordial.

Tomi made our experience unforgettable! So kind and friendly and really made us feel welcomed. Definitely will come back as the quality of food was amazing for the price and the top-notch service. I haven’t received good service like this in a very long time. Amber

I rarely leave reviews, mainly because I never care enough to. The food was great, as always, however my server was wonderful! I wish I asked his name for the purpose of this review, he had glasses, brown hair, and what sounded like an American accent. Young looking. Super attentive, and equally as helpful, not too pushy. He was great.

Absolutely loved my experience at Steak & Sushi in Westfield London. And Tomi our waiter made it even better! What a guy!The food was top-tier from start to finish—perfectly cooked steak, fresh and beautifully presented sushi, and great portion sizes. The atmosphere felt stylish but relaxed, and the service was attentive without being overbearing. Everything came out quickly and tasted amazing. Easily one of the best spots in Westfield for a proper sit-down meal. I’ll definitely be back.

Food was delicious and the service was exceptional. There was a nice selection of food and the photos on the menu helped for someone who isn't a sushi expert. The guy who served us friendly and helpful when we was deciding on what food to have.

The sushi was absolutely amazing – so fresh and flavorful, truly some of the best I've had! The service was excellent, even though the place was quite busy. The staff was attentive and managed to find us a table for two, which was a pleasant surprise. Overall, a fantastic experience with delicious food and great service. I highly recommend this spot for sushi lovers – it's definitely worth the visit!

We had a lovely meal here on a special occasion. A really novel menu with a variety of sushi and yakitori, all explained very well by the staff. The selection of sushi in particular was a highlight, and the presentation and quality overall was excellent.

Was very busy all night, booked online just 2 days in advance though. Food was amazing and the service was excellent, they delivered the various set menus and items I ordered to make it seem like a 4 course meal, with just the perfect time between each course.

Heard such great things about sticks and sushi so decided to come to this brand for dinner. All the waiters and waitresses were SO nice especially Abigail and Morinna! Abigail was so helpful in ensuring my food didn’t have alcohol (as I am a Muslim who doesn’t consume alcohol). Everything was so nice and the food was great. The atmosphere was so nice and chilled too. They start with giving you warm towels to clean your hands which I loved as I’m a germaphobic (wish every restaurant did this!!). The meal was more than enough for two people which was sushi platter for 2 (£52), prawn tempura and crab croquettes with two mocktails. Not a fan of matcha but the dessert surprised me so much and left me wanting more! SO good, gooey with the right consistency and the perfect vanilla ice cream combo! 10/10 food and the most nicest service too! Defo recommend this place, has become one of my favourites and will only visit this sticks and sushi if I ever want to go to one! 💗

Loved everything about it. Greeted with a warm welcome by Michelle. Then looked after by Feemi (sorry butchered it, haha) and Allazhar. The atmosphere was really cosy in the night and felt pretty boujee. The dishes tasted so good

Got the 'set for success' for 3 people as we arrived starving and didn't have the time nor energy to choose our own food since the menu was extensive and all the options looked great, and the set didn't disappoint! It came in 3 rounds, with hot starters first, then cold plates, then the sushi rolls and skewers. Even for 3 hungry people sharing it was actually difficult to finish it all but absolutely delicious and the quantity and quality made it well worth the price! Bill at the end is nothing to sneeze at, but if you want a special meal without going overboard and still expect upscale, incredible tasting food and a good quantity for your money, I would recommend!

I visited Sticks'n'Sushi a couple of weeks ago. The food was fantastic as expected. But, what impressed me more was the service we received. I met a friend I hadn't seen in a while and we ate, caught up and chatted for almost 4 hours. We were not once made to feel like we overstayed our welcome, we weren't rushed, weren't asked to leave, we were just left to enjoy the food, our company and the atmosphere! Thank you - lovely staff and service!!!

Very nice atmosphere, a little warm during winter. Food-wise some hits and misses. A little pricey in my honest opinion, but quality is certainly there. Would recommend the crab temaki and croquettes. Kid friendly menus available. Baby high chair available.

I cannot fault the sushi at all, it was fresh, flavoursome and well-presented. However, the service was lacking in some areas. It took quite some time for someone to notice that we were ready to order and we had to request for fresh chopsticks/napkins. I’d recommend being a bit more attentive with your customers for an overall 5* experience. Apart from the slight dismay regarding the service, we thoroughly enjoyed our food and drinks (highly recommend the still homemade lemonade) and would come back to give it another try!

Absolutely loved it here! My partner and I came a while ago and enjoyed the perfect day sharer meal. Our server Maddux really added to the experience with his amazing recommendations and being really attentive, we really felt he went the extra mile. Would really recommend

The food was really great, and the ambiance is giving elegance and minimal vibes. However, I had a bit of an issue with the service because they debited us twice, which took a week to sort out. Also, the seating restrictions were a bit disappointing. the manager had a strict demeanour. I think it would be helpful for them to improve their payment process and reconsider the seating arrangements. Overall, I loved the food, but I hope they can enhance their service in the future.

I visited Sticks’n’Sushi White City recently and had a mixed experience. The highlight was definitely the sushi – I ordered the Maki Maki set and it was fresh, vibrant, and extremely delicious. Easily the best part of the meal. Unfortunately, the sticks were underwhelming. The duck and chicken meatballs didn’t taste quite right, and the chicken wings, while decent, lacked real flavour. The beef fillet stick was also rather bland, which was disappointing given the price point. I also tried the Robust set, but it fell flat for the same reason – the sticks simply didn’t deliver. That said, the beef tataki was excellent: tender, perfectly prepared, and bursting with flavour. Overall, I’d return for the sushi without hesitation, but the sticks felt like a letdown compared to the name and reputation of the restaurant.

I can see why this restaurant could be popular thanks to it's good atmosphere, beautiful menus and crowd-pleasing dishes. Most of the dishes we tried we good, although there was too much teriyaki sauce on the yakitori and on the chirashi-zushi (in Japan putting sweet sauce on chirashi is virtually a crime). Overall we found that the dishes were overpriced compared to the taste. Another issue is that two of us got a kind of itchy rash on the throat as we were exiting the restaurant, which lasted for about half an hour. We regularly eat Japanese food and never experienced anything like that in our lives before. Very strange.

Ordered the "perfect day" for 2 from the set menu, and we weren't even full after spending over 100 pounds. Food quality is decent, nothing stands out; skewers are the weakest, which is a disappointment as it should be the specialty. Staff are busy, not allocated to the table, and requests are often ignored.

Terrible food and service altogether! I ordered Chirashi Deluxe and the taste was off, so weird there were just fish (cooked and raw), apart from some peas, that I had to check my photo of the dish against their photo menu and listed ingredients. Two listed ingredients - avocado and shiso - were missing, and there were no substitutes to replace the green buttery elements and aromatic of the dish. Shiso should be the essence of the dish, and it was NOT acceptable to go without. I finished the dish anyway, and clearly, no avocado or shiso were "hidden" underneath the fish layer. Then, I asked the server if I was given a wrong order (either a different dish from the menu or someone's customised dish). Right away, he was sure he had given me the right dish.  Then he brought the Manager, who came slightly raging already, confronted me, and asked me what I wanted by raising the feedback. The tone was rude and negative when she raised her voice at the same time, both of them standing in front of my table, also causing disturbance to other diners. I felt intimated and said I wanted nothing. In fact, I was only giving feedback, and if it was a wrong order (I recalled the Deluxe was the most complicated dish with many ingredients and thus the most expensive in that category), better let them fix the bill before paying; if that was due to negligence in the kitchen, that explained why the dish tasted awful. Only after the confrontation did she go to the kitchen and verify with the chef and confirm that the two ingredients were missing. I didn't ask; she deducted the dessert off my bill. At that point, I just wanted to leave that place immediately. Very rude and unprofessional staff who threatened customers to stay silent about the bad food. I didn't realise that nowadays taking food photos is compulsory for diners to protect their rights and to the least to give feedback by demonstrating the discrepancies between the restaurant's product and their advertised menu. It was evident that the chained restaurant has been run without quality check and control in the kitchen and in front-of-house customer service aspects, not to mention consistency to deliver branded dining experiences to customers across the region. I had a look at other reviews about similar attitude issues about the Manager at this branch. I believe this has been a serious problem that has never been addressed despite customers have made their comments on Google review (already the most direct way of communication in the digital age sadly). All they did was asking reviewers to contact them by email, which was another sign to reluctantly take on any feedback. I enjoy keeping a culinary experience photo record as I used to forget what I ate. But the restaurant should not expect their customers to produce proof of what they had eaten or what not. Never ever set foot in a Sticks'n'Sushi chained restaurant again!!! You'll regret, or you never know what you have eaten and vice versa. If anyone cares to read further about the dessert: the matcha fondant was OK, but the vanilla ice cream was real frozen ice. I believe that they did design the ice block on purpose, showing they did not understand the beauty of having hot and cold elements in a dessert: cold element melting when meeting the hot element giving the smooth velvety texture along the sensation brought by temperature differences. So that's another miss of a classic dessert.

From Hero to Zero in 20mins. We were welcomed well…. and given a decent table. All was good until a European group arrived and settled on a table next to us. All of a sudden the dynamics changed. The waiters and waitresses seemed to focus on their ‘preferred’ group. Bumping into our table and serving other group with their backs to us and sticking their bum in our face while we ate whilst serving the other group. The other side of the other feoups table was clear so would have been the better side to serve that group… I guess basic service etiquette had been abandoned….. I am still trying to figure out why… so from Hero to Zero … what a shame.

On last Saturday night 15/11, I sit next to the open kitchen, and I have to wait more than 30 mins for my sushi roll, I saw one of the female chef just talk and laughing hard with the other chef in there own language. Feels like this kitchen is not professional and without management. And I think they don't know they are working in open kitchen of cause. No more again to pay the expensive price for this experience thanks.
