Loved this place! First time trying this fast food Korean inspired spot and it was SO good. The sauces go great with the food, they give ample veggies underneath the meat on top. Served fast, hot and absolutely delicious! Definitely want to try their other menu items eventually.
I’ve loved flame broiler ever since college and this spot doesn’t miss. Got the half and half that’s half beef half chicken over brown rice and veggies with green onions. Magic sauce is always a must as well as their standard hot sauce! Restaurant was clean and staff were friendly. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a quick healthy meal.
Good. Healthy. Tasty. Fast food at a decent price. The magic sauce is well indeed magic. The double hot sauce tastes great.
The Flame Broiler is styled as "a healthy choice" and features a short menu of Korean-styled plates with a combination of meat, rice, and vegetables. They boast no msg, no skin, no frying, and no trans fats. You can also substitute white meat chicken for $1.50 and can choose brown rice instead of white for no charge. It costs $8.99. How did it all taste? Pretty tasty! All the meat, while not super juicy, was reasonably moist and had a nice sweet, soy-marinated flavor. A selection of three meats provides a good variety. The vegetables were nice and crisp. And as a healthy option, it's fairly guilt-free eating that is low in fat, okay in sodium, and what not. The rice had a bit of nuttiness to it that led me to believe it was flavored and put it above your run-of-the plain white rice. The orange was sweet and the salad had a slightly sweet sesame dressing that was good too.
My first time here. Cashier was friendly and polite. Food taste great and the place was clean. I would definitely come again!!!
Lost 20lbs in 1 month eating only flame broiler!
I Came in for a quick bite, half and half plate, and experienced a clean dining area with polite staff.
I’ve always loved flame broiler so when they closed their location at Long Beach blvd and Willow it broke me but this location isn’t too far so i come here now and it never disappoints! Half and half with their amazing magic sauce and a side of kimchi is what makes me happy.
First time there for my son and I. Great customer service. Very detailed in describing the food offered. Reasonably priced. Delicious!!! Our new go to place 😊
Consistently good food. The food is fresh and delicious. And they never make bad gestures when I request half brown rice and half broccoli and to replace the cabbage salad with more broccoli instead. Magic sauce is MAGIC! haha
Flame Broiler isn't the fanciest or finest food in town, but it's a comparatively healthy alternative to the fast food establishments that surround it. The staff at this location are always friendly and prompt with orders.
3 Satisfied People visited Molly's Pies on a Friday. One had a Bacon mushroom and cheese omelet with extra onions, one had a chicken salad and one had pancakes with coffee! $48 total 16 dollars a person with a booth and excellent and kind and service!
Went during the week in a friday night very relaxed environment. Not sure if they are busier in the morning or on weekends. Nobody was in line. They close earlier than Dennys or Norms. Food here was delicious in comparison. Bread and baked goods were the best. Chocolate chip penaut butter cookies were delicious. I would recommend. Must get here early if you want the prime rib special they have all weekend long.
It's a family friendly place. A good selection on the menu. Also, the food was delicious. Service is very friendly and professional. I didn't get our server name today, but she was nice.
We were pleasantly surprised. The food was good. Our server ( Jagger) was fast with the order and had a great attitude. We'd definitely go again when we want a quick bite out.
GO FOR THE LEMON MERINGUE PIE! Polly’s Pies is a part of Long Beach history for me and I always enjoy going back for a quick lunch and some pie. We had the Prime Rib French Dip and it was fresh and tasty, the basket with onion rings that were hot and crispy and the Pie was classically delicious. Unpretentious, confortable and satisfying.
Old school diner atmosphere with amazing food. The pictures didn’t look great but the meal was delicious and felt homemade. Shoe string fries were crispy, burger was great, pasta was great. The ranch is a must try, it was definitely a house ranch rather than a pre bottled sauce and it was phenomenal. Good menu selection, lots of different pies, and our server was a very nice young man. It was super quiet, not very busy for a week night, and it was super cheap.

Awesome food, best waitresses in the world, and the ambiance is all American on patriots day.
Pros: chicken was well seasoned, customer service was great, prices were reasonable Cons: The standard bowl needs something else to make it less boring. It is just chicken, a lot of rice, and some veggies. Also, the hot sauce tasted like Frank's Red Hot, which doesn't really pair well with Asian flavors.
Why do you need to check in with phone numbers to get reward points? Don't you already have my info? Your reward APP needs serious improvement. The gal behind the counter is super helpful though.
Service was very good. Lots of beef. Clean environment. The others that complained must have came at the wrong time because if anything, there was too much beef. The sauce is really good, but a little salty. Veggies cooked perfect.
Good place to grab a pie. Some options are frozen take and bake. Did not sit in but they looked slow, so I am sure they love some visitors. Have had their food at another location and I love the blue cheese wedge salad and some other good cookin'
Love the atmosphere here on BINGO Wednesday except when Amanda & Gloria served us on 08/13/25 had horrible service. We had to get up to get there attention and service. I had to wait nearly 1 hrs to get my refill on mango 🥭 iced tea. We had to get up multiple times to get served. But everyone else there including Noki, Lea,Jager and Irving are awesome 👌 👏

Don't go to flame broiler if you want to spend $17 on a medium bowl and a drink. Ordered the chicken and steak bowl with brown rice, comes with veggies. $3.29 for a small drink $10.29 for a half and half bowl, I added brown rice and I'm sure they upchraged . I expected a decent amount of protein but they were stingy. I felt like this bowl could've been more since it was a mini bowl and surely this meal wasn't worth almost $20 bucks. I felt like I paid for a bowl full of rice. I dined in, I sat in two different tables because I kept getting wobbly tables. That's annoying and uncomfortable.. I stopped going to flame broiler because I didn't like the way they served their protein portion and have been going to waba instead. I came here for a quick lunch and was hoping that my previous expectations would be proven wrong. Yet again ,they weren't.. Waba grill has better portion sizes and Its unfortunate that I came to eat here. Please reconsider going to a different location for better protein protein size. I man and I neet meat to eat !
This is a Small Polly's Pies ! We walked in and waited for a table ! We were not greeted ! It wasn't packed, only another couple eating at a booth ! Finally a woman asked for just two people ! She was going to seat us in a booth where the Sun would of been in our eyes ! We asked if you could sit in the empty booth with no sun ! She tried seating another couple there as well ! They asked for a different booth ! It was after 3:30pm , but she handed out the special Lunch deals for $11.99 ! She did the same to the other couple ! They weren't happy that they couldn't order with the discount , why hand the extra menu ! We ordered the Polly's Patty Melt with fries & the Turkey club with fries ! It took way too long for our meal to be delivered ! The couple that gave their order after us already had their meal ! We had to ask where our meal was at ? ! The Patty Melt was okay, the beef patty was too raw ! The fries were hot & fresh ! The Turkey club was good ! We had to ask for a refill on our drinks ! Again , it wasn't packed ! Only two other couple's ! They didn't have the normal Pies to choose from very limited to 3 different pies ! It's a huge NOPE here ! Not coming back due to the Poor service !
I don't know if they were short staffed or what but the normal excellent service was nowhere to be found. The coffee, which I had to wait for, and when I asked for cream, took so long that my coffee was cold. They weren't busy. Never checked if I needed more coffee. The food I ordered was mediocre, the toast was almost burnt. But the pies we ordered to go were delicious. I was looking forward to the food and service I normally get but sorely disappointed.
The service is good. Free parking. Indoor and outdoor seatings. The food is average diner food. Vegetarian options. It's a pie shop so they have a variety of pies on sale. The price is average.
I ordered the avocado toast topped with 2 eggs. When it arrived you couldn't even see the avocado... it was completely hidden by the eggs as if they just spread a little bit of it on like butter. Avocado was certainly not the highlight of the meal as it should be. I asked for more and was given the tiniest little bit... still not enough to consider it a true avocado toast, IMO. But I didn't want to make a stink. I also ordered the eggs over medium. They were actually over easy on a grill that was too hot because they came out brown, but the yolk was overly runny with some of the white still runny. I ordered a side of hash browns well done/crispy. They were not made to order, so I asked for them crispy AGAIN. The replacement didn't meet my definition of crispy, but it was better than the barely browned ones that originally arrived. I was starving, so again, I didn't make a fuss. They offer bottomless mimosas, so I ordered that and coffee to drink. Coffee was refreshed regularly, and mimosas were refilled when empty, but I was warned after my second one that they limit the "bottomless" to 4 per hour. 🤔😳 which is LITERALLY just two glasses because they were mostly OJ. Service was friendly and efficient, and food was served quickly even though they were pretty busy on a Sunday morning. Despite being a bit disappointed with the food preparation, I would definitely try it again... hoping the next time they had a more qualified or experienced cook. Sorry for the late pictures...I was so hungry I started eating before remembering to take pictures for my review. 🤣

I go here often because it is nearby my house. Well today I believe was the wrong day to go. The staff they had on hand was horrible. He was very rude to me when he is the one who got my order wrong. He got even more upset when I requested to have one of the bowls meat cooked over, not only did I pay for an upgrade for white meat, I stated that it was a lil too char for my daughter and if they could cook it over because it never looks like that. He stated ma’am the food is always fresh as if I don’t know exactly what I’m talking about since I visit very frequently, at least two to three times a week. I was very unsatisfied with the service today. This is not usual tho’ might I add. Everyone is always upbeat, welcome, and friendly. This dude should find another job!
The service was great and the place is kind of clean, but that’s about where the positives end. The food is simply not good. The cabbage, carrots, and broccoli are watery and tasteless, and the chicken is burnt with bits of cartilage. The magic sauce and hot sauce helps with the flavor, but is packed with sodium — kind of odd, given that the signs emphasize how healthy it is. Leaving the place, I felt the same unhealthy feeling you get when you have cheap Chinese food. As it stands though, the average Chinese place has better food. Disappointing.
The white meat and the extra white chicken I had asked for and have no problem paying extra for, is not white chicken meat, but dark chicken meat, and they barley give you what your paying for. They put it now in a small cut now that is only half burnt dark meat...and I have the receipts to prove it. Service is barley acceptable now. I will no longer becoming back to this location anymore. I gave them many chances..they let me down as a customer. My advise go to another location.
Today, I ordered two cherry pie slices to go. A bearded, heavy-set man (I am assuming the head manager of the restaurant but no name) took my order, took my money, and then looked down at his phone, then walked away from me and disappeared into the back kitchen, totally ignoring me and not getting me my two pie slices! After a few minutes, a nice lady employee asked me, “Is he coming back?” I responded, “I hope so!” But he NEVER RETURNED! The lady employee took over this extremely rude, dismissive, and arrogant manager’s responsibility and got my two pie pieces. If this is how the manager treats his loyal customers, then he clearly doesn’t care about his loyal customers. I have patronized Polly’s Pies for decades, but I have never been insulted like this ever before and will NEVER eat at this Polly’s Pies ever again. Hurting the feelings of customers and callously dismissing their loyal customers is NOT what good business is all about. Rude and dismissive management towards customers can ruin this business.
My sister was in town and we decided to try the prime rib and check out the pie selection; the food was generally delicious. However, the waitress that we got was rather brusque in her mannerism, seemed impatient with our questions, and generally didn't seem to want to serve us. For instance, we asked a few questions about the pies and whether we could buy a whole pie to enjoy at our table; she seemed to think it was a stupid question and just told us no without offering any alternatives. Given that we were the only POC in the restaurant, I couldn't help but think perhaps this was racially motivated. Regarding the rudeness, I could understand if the restaurant was packed and she was in a hurry but there were only like 5 other tables that I could see. I would have not liked it but I could tolerate it. The other waitress that helped us was generally nice when we paid to leave but generally the visit was unpleasant and I would not like to visit again. The food is not worth the hostility.
The food tasted great (I would have enjoyed the food much better if I hadn't witnessed this incident). -3⭐ for the way Leah yelled at the kitchen staff. Belittle the kitchen staff for chicken strips. And claiming she felt threatened by slamming of plates and kitchen utensils is ridiculous. I hope management is able to speak to her about the manner of treating other fellow workers.

Poor Customer Service…called to place a to-go order and they placed me on hold (which is fine). A few minutes later a lady comes off hold saying “hello?”. I clearly responded “yes I’m here” multiple times. She continued to say “hello?..” 2 more times before hanging up. I called right back and the phone just continued to ring and no one picked up. I don’t have time to play games with people. Never going back here again
It was the most awful food I've ever tasted from this chain. The steak taste like a rubber band, hard and chewy. The prices are outrageous. I paid almost $17.00 for a plate, so not worth it. I've never felt as I wasted money on takeout like I did from this restaurant. I was so dissatisfied, I threw it away
Waited to be acknowledged for over 10 minutes at the front desk. Several staff members saw our party and just ignored and walked by. The manager was behind the pie counter and saw us and did nothing. I'm new to the area and was expecting better service. At least at Denny's down the street (less than half a block away) I was sitting and ordering before I was able to type this review. 1/25/26. I left after been ignored. Will no be coming back.
LB Polly’s service and food has really decreased significantly. Today my husband and I had breakfast and it was bad. There was one server, when I say ‘in a rush’, short of running, I mean it. As we ordered, he was so in a rush we almost didn’t get in details of our full order, and yes, his irritation was obvious. When he delivered our drinks, he dropped it on our table while rushing to his next task. My husband and I just looked at each other in disbelief. We understood he was the only server and we were patient. Then the food comes. I wished we just left. My country fried steak was way overcooked it was hard. Toast was way cold the butter on it didn’t melt. The one star rating is for the eggs. Everything else was bad. We pay more money for food and it’s so disheartening when these servers or whoever runs its operations can’t maintain good food, good service when met with challenges like staff shortage. I was raised in LB and now live in Norwalk whose Polly’s location is excellent. We were in the neighborhood cause we work in LB. I’ve experienced too many misses and heard the same from family and friends for this Polly’s already giving the benefit of a doubt, but we will no longer visit this establishment. Good things do come to an end and this is one of them for us.
Being a big fan of pie, I was super excited to come across Polly's Pies! I love a good pie and when I saw Polly’s Pie, I had high expectations. With the word pie in the title of the restaurant, I knew whatever pie I went for was going to be amazing. But unfortunately, I was very disappointed. When I saw their pie menu, I immediately went for the banana cream pie. I'm a HUGE banana cream pie fan. It is my all-time favorite. I ended up buying a slice to go. I immediately went in for a bite, but yikes! It was not good at all. The bananas weren't fresh, they were already all slimy and tasted off. The filling was off and the crust was very soggy. I was so sad!! I couldn't even finish it, it was just all a mess. I've had my fair share of banana cream pie and the slice just tasted expired. I'm afraid to go back to try a different flavor pie.
