I stumbled into this store by pure coincidence but was blown away. I have never been here before so I asked the employee at the register for her top picks. I wanted something strong. I believe the employees name was Jette and she advised the vietnamese coffee for me. While Jette was making the drink for me, she kept a fluid conversation the whole time, even though we were pretty far away. No one ever talks to me, so this was nice. The drink came out quickly and off I went to my work. While at work, I was promoted and all my interactions were positive. Unsure if it was the drink that caused my good fortune, but I will definitely come back!

Let's start off by saying- I am a carnivore. Never really liked the meat substitutes or tofu. I have had some recent stomach issues, so I decided to try a vegetarian meal. While being extremely skeptical, I went to Veggie Grill in Long Beach. I got the Far East Thai Chik'n bowl, with dressing and jalapeños on the side. WOW WOW WOW!!! I love Thai food and this really hit the spot. The Chik'n was actually really good, dressing tasty, pickled veggies scrumptious, brown rice (which I usually don't like because it's too firm and dry and tastes funny) was great. I LOVED it. Will definitely be coming back to try something else. Sorry picture was an after thought and I was half done, lol. Great friendly fast service as well.

This is my go-to spot in Long Beach. The food is always on point, the place is clean, and the vibe is super chill. The staff here really make the difference because they’re always friendly and take care of me every time I come in. Angel, the manager, runs the place like a pro. Veggie Grill is my favorite vegan restaurant chain, and even non-vegans love it. They have healthy protein bowls and hearty salads, and also comfort food classics like burgers, chicken sandwiches, and onions rings. It’s fast casual and you can get in-and-out quickly but I like to linger for a second round and their seasonal desserts.

This location is a vibe. I like the old-school casual countertop seating. It is very welcoming with a touch of diner aesthetic. The staff was quite friendly and greeted me as soon as I walked in the door. I got the Maverick, and I love the pretzel bun with the onion rings! Everything on the menu is delicious!! I cant decide what my favorite is!! Tasty burgers, filling bowls, salads, tacos, quesadillas, you really can't wrong! Wash it all down with a fresh strawberry lemonade! Staff is always friendly and helpful. Atmosphere is great, always good music. There's also outdoor seating if you prefer. Make sure to grab dessert! The cookies and chocolate cake are divine!!

Altogether, scrumptious! I like mint though I find the mint leaves can offset the other flavors in The Far East Bowl. I find the mint tastes best as a separate after bite than a portion of an initial bite. There is a creamy sweet sauce that tastes really good and the seeds are barely noticeable. The Far East Bowl is a somewhat soft meal, easy to chew. By the time I get to the Southwestern Nachos, I am pretty full, and, I appreciate soft Nachos now. Some might consider the Nachos "soggy." Yet, I find the portions of the Southwestern Nachos I can eat with a utensil more enjoyable than the crunchier portions I eat using my hands. I find the ingredients and flavors of the Southwestern Nachos mix very well and taste better with soft Nachos than hard Nachos, to me. Yet, if I am eating only Nachos with a salsa, I prefer my Nachos crunchier than soft. These meals travel well to be so enjoyable after about thirty minutes on the way via UberEats (from a driver wearing a mask).

Vegan!! My 16 year old sister told me about this place so she joined me, my 12 year old daughter and 10 year old brother for dinner. We are new to plant based eating. We will go back! The sauces are good! The buffalo chicken strips are good! The sweet potatoes fries were good!

First time trying this coffee place after my workout. I have been looking at this place for few months now and today I decided to give it a try. Service and the store were great. The coffee tasted good. I had a regular size latte but I paid $6.60 without the tip. Just milk and coffee for that price.

The coffee was really good here. There wasn't much of a selection of cakes and pastries. There's seating outside and a restroom inside. It's a great place to visit either before or after your Trader Joes shop, which is conveniently located next door.

Don't let the modern decor fool you. This local OC chain is serving up some authentic Vietnamese Coffee aka VTM. ITEM'S ORDERED: VTM (Original Vietnamese Coffee) VTMatcha (Vietnamese Coffee + Matcha) TASTE: The VTM here is well made & what I expect from a good Vietnamese coffee. Strong dark roast coffee flavor balanced out (not overtaken) by the sweetness of condensed milk. Coffee strength is quite present so I could see this maybe being too strong for some people. I do see they also offer a lighter version as well. Towards the middle/end it did get somewhat too sweet & creamy for me, but I am a big strong coffee fan. VTMatcha is exactly what the name implies. For the matcha fans, the ratio of matcha to coffee is on the matcha side. & On the plus side the earthy matcha flavor is not lost. So it comes together with the Viet coffee to make a tasty drink. SERVICE, LOCATION, & PARKING: Service was very good right when we walked in. Cashier was friendly & the girl who gave the drinks to me was kind as well. Just FYI, they don't accept cash. It's a pretty small interior with no inside seating. Pretty sure it's not just a covid thing since I don't see where they'd even put inside tables/seats. Looks like there were 3 tables outside. Interior is a simple, clean look which is still inviting. I like how the ceilings are high to make the small place seem larger. This BLKdot is located Marketplace Long Beach (corner of PCH & 2nd Street) with several other businesses (Trader Joe's, Veggie Grill, etc). There's ample amount of parking & I found a spot right in front on an early Saturday afternoon. FINAL THOUGHTS: Little bit pricey here since you are buying from a newer/modern coffee shop in a nicer area. The VTM was basically $6 while the VTMatcha was basically $7. BLKdot is under the same "umbrella" as the popular 7 Leaves, if you've ever been. I would say this coffee here is stronger (but similar flavor) than the house coffee at 7 Leaves. Which makes sense since the VTM does not have the sea foam to subdue/counter balance the coffee strength. It they used crushed ice I'd be even happier. Just makes it that much better to me. Pretty sure most of my 7 Leaves drinks have had crushed ice. They need to bring that here! They use bamboo straws which hold up much better than paper & are more eco friendly than plastic. I like this. Could you find a similar (maybe better?) Vietnamese coffee at a more "mom & pop" location for lower cost? Yes Could you serve the VTM to your Vietnam born auntie & they'd give it the stamp of approval? Yes Would your Vietnam born auntie approve of this price? No Would I come here again? Yes

Veggie grill had this season items breakfast and it is really delicious. I went there during weekday lunch time and the place is not as packed. So that is good because you can access to parking easier and less wait time when you order either in store or mobile.

Their coffee is too strong and when I order a latte their milks are not creamy. The coconut milk is watery. It seems they don’t understand that I’m looking for a yummy drink, not just a jolt to wake up. This is my 3rd visit and will be my last.

I spent a little over $50 for the crispy cauliflower appetizer and the Beyond Steak Filet meal with broccoli and potatoes. The meal left much to be desired. The steak was extremely salty and the broccoli was undercooked. Broccoli is one of the easier dishes to prepare so this is unacceptable. The appetizer was palatable, though everything had a slight aftertaste that I cannot explain. I appreciated the pleasant customer service and the ambience, but for the amount paid, I was hoping for a different experience taste-wise. Perhaps, this was a one-time incident, so I am willing to try another meal to see if this was the case.

If you want a terrible experience + terrible coffee, this is the place for you! The young lady with glasses and dark hair working there needs to find a new job immediately. She doesn’t want to be there. She doesn’t know how to work in a customer based business. Needs major training on people skills. If someone greets you, you greet them back. If someone says thank you with a smile, you acknowledge that. If you don’t like your job, find a new one. If you don’t like talking to customers and providing good customer service don’t apply to a customer related field. And then couldn’t even make a latte. $7 for a cup of iced whole milk. Yeah, no thanks.

While the chicken burger was right on, their Caesar crunch salad ($8.75) and fries ($4.65) are so tiny you’d think they were serving appetizers for ants. Definitely a ripped off place.

I used to love to go here. But my experience the past couple times I've gone has been terrible. I went today for an iced matcha and they literally gave me a cup full of ice for a $6 drink which is crazy. The cashier (short boy with curly hair) was rude when I asked if they could add more matcha. I won't be back!

If your looking for good coffee, this is not the place. The service was very timely and friendly, but you might as well go to Starbucks. The employees are not knowledgeable when it comes to what coffee is being served

Tiny place with rude untrained baristas. Milk in the lattes does not get steamed right. The guy taking our order didn’t know the menu at all and the girl making drinks was just snapping at everyone, no friendliness at all.

Customer Service is long gone at the PCH location near Whole Foods. Staff are the equivalent to robots now. Why bother hiring workers who do what your phone app does. Owners, please, adopt the "all automated food ordering" set up already, the "machines" have better people skills than the workers. For those of us who have been consumers at places like Whole Foods and Veggie Grill for more than a decade, the steady decline in both food quality and service has been glaringly obvious since being bought out by larger corporations in recent years. To the CEOs of each - sell the So Cal locations to entrepreneurs who are actually invested in efforts that promote a positive experience for customers. To the workers who just want to "not deal with people", there are plenty of jobs that do not require you to interact with the public. Go elsewhere.

One of the saddest vegan meals I have ever paid for. Plain Jane stuff. Onion rings were burnt and hard and like 8 sad rings for $7. The Chkn thing was something straight out and 80s minor league baseball stadium. For the price of that food I could have done better somewhere else. Maybe there are better items and these two are there worst, but they shouldn't even sell them for money. Just take them off the menu.
