If I could give 10 stars I would! Loved everything about this place. Our server was Bailey and she made the entire meal wonderful! The mess with chili is delicious… I’m so glad she encouraged me to get it. The location is incredible, we sat outside on the dock and the weather was excellent. Highly recommend this restaurant because everything we ate was really good. It will be a regular visit for us when we visit LB!

Our go to spot for brunch! The food is always good and the patio is dog friendly! A huge plus! The country breakfast and the mess are the top 2 items we always order. The biscuits are homemade and always very soft. Order the hash browns extra crispy and you won’t regret it. The view is amazing from this place. You can’t beat it!

Wait time was about 40 mins. Place was super packed but it was worth the wait. There’s plenty of parking. There is a waiting area outside and you can order drinks while you wait to be called for your table. Our server was super nice and was very attentive. They do have restrooms outside and they were really clean. The food portions were a good size and it was very delicious. Will definitely be coming back.

Great atmosphere and customer service. We got there at 9am and we're seated by 9:22am, it got really packed and busy around 10am. The food is delicious, the cinnamon French toast is amazing and I don't even like French toast. The Dennys scramble was really good and I also liked the gravy and biscuits. The kids breakfast menu was limited, but my daughter was happy with her pancakes. They could add more things to the kids menu though. The kids apple juice was good. Need to go back and try their lunch menu. Definitely recommend this place.

Nice views and patio. We came here for the views while in Long Beach. Our server, Janice S was great - friendly and attentive. We got the BLT and the crab & avocado melt. The sandwiches were good - I was surprised my salad was iceberg lettuce for the price and its description of ‘green salad.’ They have lots of patio seating, perfect for a nice day. I also liked that they offered coffee and other drinks while waiting for a table.

It’s a local favorite but be prepared for at least a one hour to 90 minute wait on weekends. Tables are empty but there is not enough staff so they limit which sections are open. Also, they push the bar while you wait so the alcohol sales may be a primary driver for the long wait.

We just moved local to the Long Beach area, and everyone kept telling us we needed to hit up Schooner or Later! We were not disappointed (: Food was great, pretty basic brunch/lunch food - I ordered the Chilaquiles, but be forewarned, the red sauce is SPICY! Atmosphere does ALL the heavy lifting here. Water front, with a view of the boats passing by? Unmatched. Additionally, the great part about waiting for your table is you can order a lil drink prior to being sat at their bar. Service was great, and we’ll definitely be back soon! ⭐️

Tried the Florentine Benedict and potato leek soup on a busy Saturday morning. Had about a 35-minute wait around 11am, was seated and served promptly even though they were super busy. The soup was so good, very hearty with chunks of potato and bacon! Came with a side of garlic bread (or choice of sourdough). It was slightly burnt on one side and tasted quite bitter so did not finish the entire garlic bread due to that. Benedict had balanced flavours, the spinach went really went with the dish! Will be back to try their lunch menu items next time!

Cute place and friendly staff. The Buffalo chicken sandwich was really good. The tator tots were cooked perfectly. My husband said his crab and avocado sandwich was good as well. My only real complaint was the chairs were pretty uncomfortable. Otherwise I would recommend this place for anyone to try.

7/12/25 Back at schooners.... Schooners has been an every Saturday brunch destination. Never a bad experience until today... Wait time was a normal experience... No problem. We then placed our orders. I ordered a spinach and mushroom omelette with feta instead of Jack cheese... Order was perfect. My husband ordered the ABC omelette. He was baffled when it came with broccoli but we didn't really think about it. Then we realized after he was almost done with it, he received the wrong order. He first mentioned to the waitress that he didn't order hash browns so she brought an order of berries that he originally ordered, instead of the potatoes. She came back and asked if all was good.. I said well actually no... We basically received someone else's order. She said..."do you want me to say something about it?" We said that's ok... The dish was eaten. Then..... Paying for our bill.. which was around $56.23.... give or take.... We Paid with a $100.00 Bill, we should've received$43.77 back....but. .She gave us $24 back. It said right on that receipt, what the change should be.... $43.77, but yet, she gave us $24... She shorted us exactly $20 bucks. This really... Really looks like she was tipping herself and hoping we didn't notice. I hope not .. We do love schooners, so we're gonna give them the benefit of the doubt. My advice, just be mindful when paying your bill. 👍 No Longer A 4 Star ⭐ ⭐ ⭐.. --------+---------- What a calm, very chill atmosphere. My first time here and everyone was extremely nice and accommodating. We sat at the benches and the wait wasn't very long as we sip on our mimosas. A lovely place to have breakfast.

Food was ok, salads were fine but a couple of us had to ask for more dressing. the onion rings were a bit over-fried and bland. I sat there for 2 hours and I never got a water refill. EDIT: yes, it was just a water refill. My friend ordered the onion rings. it was a large group, maybe 13 of us. Service was fine otherwise.

Place is still way overrated. I came back here recently after many years. Wanted to give it another chance. Big mistake! Biscuits were very dry. No flavor whatsoever. They give you lots of hash but it’s so bland. Didn’t want to eat them. Seems like it’s frozen, not fresh potatoes. Eggs Benedict was average. Didn’t taste like true hollandaise sauce. Probably from powder. Bacon was crispy, I’ll give them that. Coffee was okay, pretty weak. Quick refill though if you’re just in it for the caffeine. It’s typical diner quality. Just because a restaurant was featured on TV doesn’t mean it has great food. Their only saving grace is the good location and extensive bar menu. You’ll enjoy your food coz you’ll be waiting so long for a table loading up on drinks, that you’ll be starving and wouldn’t care about food quality anymore when you get seated. I wouldn't go back.

I was happy with the beer I bought for the long wait, and thought the rest of the experience would be good, too. The Greek salad was plain iceberg lettuce, which was mostly what this salad had. I was expecting a higher quality of greens, like maybe Romain for the almost $20.00 salad. Nope. The black olives, tomatoes and feta cheese were sparse as was the chicken. Not coming back! 🥲

Food was sub par, only good thing was the rosted potatoes. The servers we're giving me and my girlfriend dirty looks our entire dining experience. I don't know what reason they would have to do that, we were being nice the entire time. We also saw other tables get their food before we did. I saw our food sitting on the counter as orher plates went out. As we got seated, a manager (or whoever) was being rude to the man seating us. He was the only person who was nice to us, wish he was our server. Will not be returning, terrible over all experience.
