This was our first time in Longview and we decided to try Slim Chickens after a long drive. The customer service was excellent and the food was hot and delicious! We thoroughly enjoyed it. Definitely eating here again!

A nice addition to the area. Tried the chick plate along with the fried mushrooms. Both were good. The fried mushrooms were hand-battered and amazing. Most of the time, fried mushrooms don't have much flavor but these did. Definitely recommend. The fried pickles are good too. Love the various sauce choices. It's a nice addition to the chicken offerings. It has it's own spot in the mix with Cane's and ChickenE. Each of them do something good and it all depends on what you're in the mood for as to where to go. Give them a shot.

Slim Chicken's food is always fresh and hot. My favorite menu item is the Chicken Waffles. Basically I just eat the chicken separate from the waffles instead of eating them together. The order takes a little longer to get because they only make them when they get an order. That way they are nice and fresh which lets the butter mix in with the syrup. I took a friend this week and he was impressed by how fresh everything came out.

I called on December 21,2022. I talked to the most helpful young man named Oscar!!! I asked if I made a big catering order up on 12-22 at 10:45 am he said they could and proceeded to help me on my order. And it was a huge order!! I got 5 chicken strip trays 5 wing trays 2 Lg. Mac and cheese trays 9 Lg. Boxes of Texas toast 4 FF trays. I told him I needed a slew of different sauces as this was going to a car dealership and feeding a lot of different ppl. They gave me some of every sauce they offer and gravy and everything was cooked and ready at the time I needed!!! Not only that Oscar even gave us a discount!! That boy needs a raise no joke!! But the food looked amazing. There was tons of sauces like he promised and it was all freshly cooked. I so appreciate Slims chicken for being In Longview y’all rock!! I will be back to make two more orders the same way before December ends.UPDATE:: it is now December 28 and I called yesterday had another catering order but just a bigger one. I had talked to an awesome young man named Auzie!! He was extremely helpful as was Oscar and I believe his name was Jesus. I did not get to pick this order up and see it as I was at work but they delivered it to peters Dodge center in perfect time. I was told it was delicious and a lot of stuff. Thank you all. And I will be making the same big order on Jan. 3. Thank you again slim chicken in Longview!!!

Great experience today. Clean restaurant, friendly staff. Smoky cheddar wrap was dee-lish. Good cole slaw. Husband enjoyed strips, fries, gravy--fresh, hot, tasty. Fast service. We'll visit again.

Customer service is a big deal for me. They were all nice and polite even during the power shortage. They are definitely doing a fantastic job. I would have pictures but I was enjoying the experience. Thank you!

Slims is our go-to stop for a quick meal. We usually share a Hungry Meal. Our dog can dine with us out on the porch (weather permitting). The meal is large enough that our dog can have a chicken strip too. Wait! There's a Slims sauce? I'll have to try it on our next visit. ;-)

First time eating here and the service was excellent as well as the food. The fries are THE BEST (seasoned like Wingstop but better). I had the sweet chili wings and they were hot, fresh, and excellent. The lemonade tastes homemade, and they have Peach as well as sweet tea. Will be going back soon to try the chicken and waffle special on Wednesdays.

The food is delicious and the staff is amazing. I made an online order last week. Sadly some of my items were missing, but I gave them a call, and they immediately offered to replace my meal. When I went in, they not only replaced that item, but my entire purchase. I really appreciated it!

Since this place has opened I did not give it a second look. When somebody took me there I could not get enough. I must have about 20 to 30 of their keeper cups in my house. I usually order the hungry meal but sometimes I get a side salad with it. The honey barbecue is amazing. The Cayenne ranch is also great with a salad. The tenders are juicy and crisp. And when they do a sauce drizzle it's amazing. I would not recommend the garlic Parmesan it's a little salty. The spicy ones are amazing especially the Buffalo and hot varieties.

Slim chickens is up there on my list of favorite go to food places! The prices are fair and the food is great! I always order from the app when I eat there for lunch. They have always gotten my order right! My favorite thing on the meal is the chicken sandwich with the cayenne ranch! I recently tried the Fried pickles and they were soooo Good! I love the cleanliness of the restaurant, the restrooms are also very well kept! They have great lemonade it’s my favorite! Also the Teas (raspberry and peach) is so good! Definitely recommend this place, I prefer this over raising Canes!

Had a DoorDash order we placed and the registers went down, drove up to Slims after the mix up and they took care of our order and even comped us, Jerry was super helpful and had such a great personality, our DoorDash issue had us a bit upsetti spaghetti, but the way they handled the situation was a breath of fresh air! Thank you David, Jerry and the rest of the Slim Chickens team for keeping things professional and being awesome!

Easily one of the best restaurants in all of Longview. The food is amazing! And it's fairly priced as well. The place itself is great too, it's got an awesome bluesy atmosphere. The workers are terrific and the managers are awesome. If you go to raising cane's instead, you're a fool!

They have the best fried mushrooms and I love their honey barbecue sauce and of course their jar desserts.

Slim Chickens always has a great, friendly staff. My family likes to take advantage of the specials they have throughout the week. My boys love Waffle Wednesday. I also order party platters for a family meal. Very good value.

I really enjoy this place. For anyone that enjoys lightly breaded chicken this is a place you need to try! They have a healthy selection of dipping sauces to choose from. I can't at this time say that they're all good because the first time I went I tried the Cayenne Ranch and haven't ever switched to another flavor.

In my experience the food is always delicious and to you in a timely manner. Austin always makes sure that the customer gets what they want and delivers great customer service to everyone that comes through the door. 10/10 will be back many more times.

Really good chicken. Wings or strips both are great. On Sundays they have a free kids meal with the any regular meal. Even when they are packed the wait is not long. And the dipping sauce are amazing so many choices my favorite is the Korea barbecue. Spicy but not to hot. If you have never been give em a try I'm sure you'll like it.

This was one of the best places I've ever eaten at! We showed up late supper. The restaurant was mildly busy. We were treated like royalty! The employees checked up to see if we needed anything a few times, offered to clear our table, and offered more sauces. Chicken was great (highly recommend the cayenne ranch). Fries were Amazing. Others liked the mac and cheese and salad. Brownie jars were fantastic. We'll be going back to try the chicken and waffles. Sat outside on the patio. Everything was cleaned and well maintained.

These guys are wonderful! They actually know the meaning of customer service which is rare since 2020. They’re consistent in their top class rate service . They help me & my church every year for our vacation Bible school at my home church & we just think this staff is amazing, especially Austin! Thank you slim chickens! Plus they have the best potato salad in town besides my mamas!

Cashiers were very pleasant and patient. The restaurant was clean. Our food was brought out as quickly as it took us to get our drinks as we arrived at the table at the same time. Food was good and filling.

My wife and I were in town from San Antonio to celebrate my father-in-law's birthday. Had the opportunity to eat at Slim Chickens once in-restaurant and again for a to-go order on our way out of town. Both times it was for lunch. We had never been to a Slim Chickens before, but came away impressed. The chicken flavor and sauce options are outstanding. Both tenders and sandwich were excellent. The fries in both cases were also excellent, with great seasoned salt seasoning. The service at the front counter (both times the same young lady--sorry I can't remember her name, but she was Hispanic and very good--provided service) was friendly and efficient. In both cases the staff had our food out fast and it was hot and well-drained from the cooking oil. The tea (Community!) was very clear, strong, and tasted great--a sure sign that a restaurant has its stuff together in our experience... The great thing is that a new one is being built in Schertz here in the San Antonio area, so that is great. Recommended and we'll be back!

I go there all the time when I’m in town they always have fresh food. They are always nice too.

The fries are crispy and seasoned. The toast is garlic bread. The chicken is juicy and well-seasoned. The vanilla milkshake is GOOD. The Slim's sauce is different than other special sauces, but very good. I will be eating here again and I recommend it!

Jarry was awesome! The systems at Slims went down twice causing our order to be removed. The whole time Jarry was chitchatting with us and reassuring that we would have our food quick and not to worry! He even ran back into the restaurant twice during the rush to grab a missing side and fix a salad! He was extremely friendly and professional! And his customer service was ON POINT!

Well I was loving them buy heard things have slipped since my last visit I Will check for myself. Yet they did forget to give us our drinks last visit so I had to double back. But I do like the taste of the fries yet they were a little on the cool side last visit I wish for fresh hot. The chicken it tender and I didn't like white chicken or chicken strips but these I can even eat cold.

I went to Slims chicken because Canes was way too crowded, and I actually liked it better! So, Happy Accident! I will definitely visit again!

My family and I had the great experience of visiting this establishment for the first time on yesterday. Taylor and Jordan excellent host did a great job upon entering the restaurant, very courteous. The manager Angelica took the time to come out and make sure everything was good. Never experienced that before, would like to say great job, highly recommended this place.

Slims chicken is the best. Im not eating fried food. So they made my own special order of raw pickels. They have a little of everything for everyone. Call it in or order it online and they will have it ready with no waiting.

I enjoyed the smokey cheddar wrap a lot!! My picky son ate the chicken tenders without a problem at all! The staff was sweet and friendly with us as well.

First time there have to say was worth it not bad on prices. Very good.

Austin is always friendly and employees regularly check on you. & The food is amaaazing… I have tried everything on the menu and love it, I would eat a cayenne ranch sandwich every day if I could. I just wanted to say thank you to the cashier and drive-through attendant. I ordered through the app and it didn't do what it was supposed to, but the girls were very sweet and helpful. I couldn't find a name on anything. The food was fresh and good. After having bad experience after bad experience this last week, I am very grateful for them being so nice and helpful. Food is hot and very fresh. Service is fast and friendly. My mobile order was hot and ready on time. I moved very quickly through the drive thru. Unfortunately, my okra was a bit tough but it was seasoned well and cooked crispy, not burnt, just not young and tender. My cayenne ranch chicken sandwich was smaller than expected but had decent flavor. I prefer their chicken strips but tried something different. (Sorry no pictures of this meal.) Still highly recommend this place! Great chicken with lots of variety to meet every taste.

First time there today!!! And hubby and I were so pleased!! It is now our place to get the best wings in Longview!! My garlic parmesan wings had fresh parmesan!!! Just superb food with excellent flavor. Juicy chicken, I will say GO HERE IF YOU WANT GOOD CHICKEN. Service was fast and courteous. Again nothing but good reviews from my experience today.

Opening day. The wings could use more sauce, but overall the food is great! I wish the awnings over the order screen and drive they window were slightly larger, it was raining outside and they did not block enough of the rain to keep me dry.

The food is good. I like that they have a huge selection of dipping sauces. We come for the "kids eat free" Sundays. Seating is often an issue on Sundays, but when you can feed kids for free, we happily brave the crowds.

Good stuff. They just opened today and I have to say it was a better experience than most places I try when they first open. I'm a big fan of their chicken and waffle and fried mushrooms. Both were as good as they are at other Slim Chickens I've been to. Service was friendly and they got my order correct. What more could you want!

I like the food. The people are friendly. The only complaint I have is the order not being correct. It is ongoning. I use the drive thru. Today I ordered coleslaw with my meal. No fork or spoon. This is not the first time. Can someone not think to put a fork or spoon in my order?. Do you expect me to eat it with my fingers?

I like the food but my boyfriend has mentioned fries not being hot after going there several times. Additionally, I ordered curbside and tonight I had to walk in to get my order because nobody came out. My order was sitting on the pickup shelf with a receipt that said Curbside on it. Not sure if it was an accident or they just don't really do curbside orders.

Bought grilled chicken and 2 dessert jars. Grilled chicken was great! Dessert jar #1 banana pudding had a sour milk taste and smell. So it was thrown out.

Always reliably good and Sunday special makes it an easy and obvious choice. Cayenne ranch is really good and the dessert jars are great!

My wife and I have been to this restaurant many times. Today was typically wonderful. The food came quickly. The food was delicious, hot and we had some left over. We ordered the Mac & Cheese bowl and the 7 piece chicken strip dinner. We love the seasoned fries. I did have 2 concerns. 1. It is always too cold. We always each bring in our jackets because we think it is too cold. 2. We were charged extra for a 3rd dipping sauce. I wish they would not keep it so cold. Please do not charge extra when we order a 3rd dipping sauce with a large 7 piece chicken strip dinner. Thank you

Go during the day it’s better quality food, I’m only saying that because a few times we got very cold old food during the evening after 8pm but other than that this place is wonderful. The people who work here are 99% of the time professional and nice! I’ve dined in a few times and have enjoyed how comfortable and peaceful it is!

Today when I received my food it had a big piece of plastic in it. I did call the restaurant and spoke to the manager Jennifer. She did apologize and offered to fix the mistake which I appreciate. I eat here often and this is the only bad experience I've had. Usually everything is good as far as the food and service.

First time to eat here. We got the Slim's Wrap meals to go. The taste was amazing, and the fact that our to go fries were still hot when we ate them was a huge plus. The fries could use a little more seasoning of sorts, as they were completely plain, not even any salt on them. The wrap had a great flavor, but the picture shows 2 chicken tenders and we both got ONE very slim chicken tender with a lot of lettuce. The wrap was very tasty though. We will go back again and try more things on the menu.

Well I'm going to start by saying the three stars is because will the food quality was good, our server could have paid a lil more attention to detail. I ordered the 5&5 Inferno with cayenne ranch, I got the 5&5 super plain 🤣. Since it was lunch I decided to power thru the blandness of my meal when I was down to 3&2 (🤷🏿‍♂️😄) I realized my coworker hadn't received his order while our owner complained of his buffalo wrap being extra sweet. Yep you geussed it they gave him his barbecue wrap and the buffalo wrap ended up in the twilight zone never to be heard from again 🤦🏿‍♂️. Granted we eat there twice a month or so and this is in no way going to change that actually this is the first time they actually messed anything thing up. You that saying if you are going to do something do it to the max well today was definitely Slim's time to shine on us 🤣. But like I said the staff was super friendly and did get his order to him very quickly once the mistake was realized so it wasn't a total lost hopefully this is a one off thing.

No healthy options here. To the owner's reply: I would love to dine at your restaurant again but as a diabetic and having a triple bypass last year, I must have some healthy options to choose from. The food that you currently serve does look delicious and is the type of food choices that i used to make prior to being diagnosed as a diabetic and having my heart surgery. Please advise when you have some healthier menu choices added to your menu. Thank you for your response.

Vanilla chicken It was not bad at all. But it was not great either. It just seemed plain. The Jane working the counter during our visit was enthusiastic challenged. Management if you are reading along 1-28 after 6. You want the person taking your order to take an interest in your order. She could have cared less. Fish eyes and no smile. Place very clean. If my kid wants to go back I would not object.

I struggled between 2 and 3 stars on this. I ordered ahead. I ordered a drink, loaded fries with no jalapenos, potato salad, and a brownie. Got the wrong drink. Loaded fries had jalapenos all over them. Barely any bacon, cheese, or ranch. Lots of chicken and fries though 🤷🏻‍♀️ Potato salad had NO flavor. Absolutely none. No seasoning it seemed like. The saving grace here is the brownie. The brownie was good. Shame that was all. Forgot to add that the potato salad bowl was greasy on the outside. Greasy hands probably 🤢

Nice place but food was, ok. Had wings and they were dry and crunchy. Only my first visit so I'll go back try other things.

We used to love coming here but the speaker at the drive thru has been so loud the past several times we’ve come. It always puts us in a bad mood when we get that shrill feedback noise while we’re trying to order. Leaving this review so hopefully it gets fixed!

I was disappointed with the food quality. I have several restaurants I would choose over this for fries and fried pickles. The chicken was good and tender. If I ordered here again I would get just the chicken strips.Service was slow.

I love their food, but when ordering through Waitr it's almost always wrong in some way. It has happened often enough that I just don't trust ordering through the app anymore. More often than not it's when getting a side other than French fries with a platter. I keep trying to get mac n cheese, but they keep sending French fries instead. I don't think I will be ordering anything but chicken & waffles from now on.

Got a 5.69$ side of okra that barely covered some of the bottom of tray it came in the time before it was filled ....consistency is key was looking forward to having it as a overnight snack working 12hrs so sad

This is about the Longview location but almost every time I have gone in the past atleast some of the food is cold. Not talking about take out and going home. We sat inside and ate. Lukewarm chicken, stale fries, and cold macaroni.

$11 and this is what I get. Asked for spicy and got regular. 4 TINY luke warm tenders (see photo) and old & cold fries. 2nd time here and same shit different day. The girl taking the order was very nice and I liked everything about her service. The people in the kitchen are the ones who suck. The Slim Chickens app is garbage and might work 25% of the time. To the store manager if you're just going to get on here and give some vague half-ass apology, then save your breath. How about actually doing something about it

I would give a lower review but this is it. I ordered a product that comes with onions. I asked if the onions could be taken off because I am extremely allergic. I was told yes. The onions were not taken off. I called to discuss this with Oscar, the manager on shift. I told him I didn't not want a refund or more food. All I wanted was for him to explain to his crew how important food allergies are. He then told me that he would not be speaking with his crew. He told me that he was the one who made my order. He then told me he put the onion on my food personally because the didn't think it was that big of a deal. Eat there if you want. I won't.

Went yesterday and got wrap but when I got it it was not made with regular tortilla like in picture. And did not say it was made wit different kind. I had already explained to manger I can’t do certain foods. So when I got it I ended up just taking chicken out and told the person who waited on me he told the manger he seen I did not eat it. I talked to manger all he said was Iam sorry no refund or any kind of compensation. Very bad business I won’t go back even though chicken is good. It’s bad ten dollars and all I could eat was the one chicken strip they put in it. I don’t have money to true in trash. One of the women there tried to say the guy who took my order is new Iam tired of that excause. Plus I had told the manager about my issue with eating. I did not want to impress my child, but I will probably go back the next few days and actually show the manager my Ostomy bag to me bag in my stomach from my surgeries and then walk out. Iam fixing to start showing people because it’s not a choice that I like but I have to live with it. And there’s a lot of people that has situation where they can’t eat something.

This is about the LONGVIEW location. I had a reward for a free chicken sandwich, so I used it and made some edits to it. When the store received my order, they didn't see the edits. I don't know if applying the reward removed the edits or what, but my sandwich wasn't made right. I took it back to them and all they did was wipe the spicy mayo off the bun, pick off the vegetables, and gave it right back to me. I didn't want to drive all the way back up there when I realized what they'd done. My husband called and spoke to José and all he did was tell my husband it was my fault for ordering it wrong. Terrible customer service

My food wasn’t fresh at all and the wait was long they have really dropped the ball and started reheating the food because it was NOT fresh!

After our first time there we decided that we won't be returning. We thought this place served whole wings but they don't. We were disappointed to be served drummettes/wingettes instead. We dined in and it was uncomfortably cold inside. And the lemon pepper flavored chicken I ordered was the blandest I've ever tasted anywhere.

Had to give 1 star on food because we never got to taste it…. Everyone got their food before us that ordered after us. We watched another table get our order and asked about the status TWICE before just getting up and asking for a refund. Then the manager tried to make excuses for the almost 40 minute wait, though his employees had already countered his excuses when trying to reassure us. They were “getting it made fresh” TWICE and still hadn’t actually started when we asked for the refund. Lo and behold there isn’t a cooperate number and Longview isn’t listed on the franchise list to file a complaint. And I absolutely must include that we were the only African Americans dining in the establishment up until we approached the counter to leave.
