Opinions de B Sweet Los Angeles
Got to visit another great spot on my LA itinerary, B Sweet Dessert Bar! I placed my order online and purchased their VEGAN halloween cheesecake, maple tres leches and a hibiscus tea. I really wanted to order everything, haha! When going inside for pickup, it was pretty busy outside so that's how I knew it was good. Picking up my order at the pick up window was quick and easy. Amazing customer service! When my bf and I took our goodies out the bag, our mouths dropped. The slices were HUGE! They lasted us a couple days. The vegan cheesecake was absolutely AMAZING! Along with the maple tres leches. B Sweet will always be a place I visit when returning to LA!
This place is a gem! Very close proximity to Big Boi and my order was prepared very quickly. I’ve been low key looking for a good Halo Halo spot closer to me than in Carson and now I have it! The Halo Halo is one size, well crafted and delicious for the right price. The ube bread pudding was definitely not needed after this, but I’m glad I have it to add a little sweet to my savory Big Boi leftovers. This dessert spot is great, I will definitely be back the next time I want a solid Filipino experience. Thanks guys!
A really nice cashier had a super calm demeanor he looked young and efficiently explained the flavors to us. We also met the owner, Curt (Kirt?) who explained their impact and history of/with the area bringing Filipino food to popularity. Such a wonderful story and a down to earth guy. Wishing him and Barbara many more years of success. I appreciated the ice creams a bit more than the bread puddings as they were overly/artificially sweet tasting. We ordered the red velvet icecream and the green coconut icecream. Love music here is fantastic
Came here for halo halo. It was 13 ingredients (including Ube ice cream) and it was delicious! Everything else on the menu looked good too so excited to come back some day to try their bread puddings. We dropped by on May 4th and it was decorated for Star Wars which was really fun.
The Baseline: For a desert shop the flavor of offerings must out-weigh the taste of pure sugar, there must be unique/rare offerings that drive me to go there, and the value of the desert must be balanced with the fact I probably just finished a meal. Food: This is a Filipino based desert bar that compliments Big Boi just down the street. This place has great deserts, so great I have seen them packaged at Earl of Sandwich at Downtown Disney. I have had Halo Halo in the Philippines and I prefer the Americanized Halo Halo I get here. It just has that extra that I prefer. The bread puddings are sweat but the flavor always comes out over the sugar hit I am getting with the custard of the pudding. Also the Cookie Monster is a must take home because a ginormous chocolate drizzled chocolate chip cookie is a fun thing to have on hand. Service: I have always had good to great service at B Sweet. They were out of drip coffee on my last visit and they were able to make me an espresso americano mixture that hit the spot and wasn’t on the menu. The charged me for a drip and that made me happy. Ambiance: The seating on Sawtelle is nice (even on cold nights) and the inside has cool niche decorations. The service line is efficient with a good flow from ordering to waiting for your items. Recommend this place for after dinner Sawtelle night.
Chef Barb and everyone that helps run the shop are just solid, cool, nice people. I was actually kind of shocked to see some of the negative comments on here. Obviously there is going to be some variation and preference differences in flavor/tastes/textures of the many common deserts, but I’ve never been dissatisfied even when some of the desserts have their own unique spin to them. I absolutely love this place and miss living right next door to it! The cinnamon rolls are my favorite, along with the seasonal pineapple dole whip, ooey gooey cakes, and the strawberry shortcake/cheesecake. Def recommend checking them out!
I was really curious about the vegan cookies and cream cheesecake; I never find good vegan cheesecakes so I ordered a slice of it and an ube latte. The cheesecake was phenomenal, I had to double-check that it was vegan because you cannot tell! Absolutely delicious, and I really enjoyed the latte as well. I ordered delivery but I will definitely revisit this place again, I was impressed!
Sweetness overload! I thought I could handle trying a few items on my first visit but wow even though I shared everything with my 2 kids we still came home with about half of everything! First thing I wanted was the Halo Halo, then the hot bread pudding in Ube Lightyear flavor, also had to try the Buttered Popcorn Cake, and we tried the Ube Pandan Cake, last but definitely not least the delicious Ube Cheesecake! Halo Halo was so yummy and such a beautiful presentation. Hot bread pudding good sticky warm sweet and gooey...soo yummy. The Popcorn cake was so good and different I love popcorn and me and my kids loved the cake! Tastes like maybe a kettle corn mixed with a butter popcorn and a creamy cake all at the same time! The Ube cake was also a sugar rush by that time I had lots of sugar already but we took a try I think it had a tad too much frosting but the cake and pandan parts were so good all the cakes were moist spongy and creamy. And finally the Ube Cheesecake, it does taste like ube but I didnt really taste cheesecake. It was good dont get me wrong but not what I was expecting. I would return to try something new maybe ice cream or a latte. Beware! Hard to find parking unless you find a structure near by.
They have probably the best halo halo that I have ever had. It’s a pretty big serving, so it’s perfect for sharing 😋
The ube ice cream is the best. Today i got the halo halo with 13 ingredients. Normally I get the halo with the ube ice cream inside the donut. They also have vegan options where the ice cream is made with oat milk.
I've been dying to try this place ever since I saw them on the Profit! Definitely did not disappoint! Everything on their menu is sooo good. I'm making an effort to try everything. The online ordering system is so easy to navigate. For halo-halo lovers, this one can't be beat. I tend to not order this at many US restaurants because they are usually not that great, but not Bsweets. They add all the right ingredients to make it authentic.
First time finding vegan halo halo and I was blown away. This was the best thing I tried during my trip to LA. 100% recommend this place for your halo halo needs, vegan or not. Friendly and fast service too! Very nice area for all kinds of good food.
My friend and I visited here while in LA and it was amazing! I got the oreo cookie bread pudding and the salted caramel bread pudding those were phenomenal and delicious! However, I also got the Ube cheesecake and it was terrible. Ube may not be for me I will not try it again

Unreal dessert place. Probably the best dessert I’ve ever had in my life. The red velvet banana pudding is insanely GOOD. I’m blown AWAY!!!!!

Very popular desert shop with bread puddings as the speciality. I got the red velvet. The small (‘good’) size is more then enough. Definitely get ice cream on top otherwise it gets a bit sickening after a while.
This is a good place for sweet treat. Good environment. Nice decor. Friendly customer service. I tried the bread pudding. I think the bread in the pudding needs to be a little more texture to it. I tried the oreo one. I also tried a butter cookie cake I think. I liked that better.
A westernized take in Filipino desserts, this trendy place offers both warm comfort & cool desserts. I came at night and caught the busy after dinner crowd. Could not resist getting one of their bread puddings (their specialty) in red velvet, plus their ube cheesecake. The also offer the traditional Halo-Halo (flavoured shaved ice flavoured with sweet beans + & a ice cream sandwich version of the same name. I also can’t wait to come back to their brownie and monster cookie! 😃 (They are related to the other Filipino place (a comfort food restaurant) just doors away, called Big Boi) Instagram - @aida.loves 😊

The decor of this place was off the hook. They went all out and covered every inch of this place. The staff were very friendly and helpful when asked about items on the menu. We got the Halo Halo which is there signature item and the ube ice cream sandwich. The ice cream sandwich was so good. Really can't beat the ube flavour. I was disappointed with the Halo Halo. I have a huge sugar tooth and I didn't even finish it. Not sure if it was made wrong but I didn't really see what all the hype was. The ube ice cream and the red bean was probably the highlight. The rest of the toppings just didn't jive well. Maybe it was just too over loaded for me that it just became a sugar overloaded towards the end.
The setup was very intriguing nice layout on inside but I definitely was not much of a fan of their ice cream sandwich called the halo only because the donut was so sticky that it was sticking to the napkins and every time I touched it, it was just too much stickiness. The ice cream flavor was chocolate mint and it was very good as for the the traditional glaze donut was alright it could have tasted better but I was just not a fan of the stickiness even though they give you an wet-wipe which still doesn’t help. Overall I would come back here to try their other sweets on the menu that looked interesting but I wouldn’t get the halo ice cream sandwich again..

It used to be a 5 star for me. Glazed donut bread pudding was a go to on the weekend. We would take our boys over for some live music and dessert. It was excellent. However, the last few times the bread pudding has been underwhelming and that’s me being nice. Nothing but mush and no texture. WTH happened!!!! I tried it at least five times since my first bad experience and now we just gave up. Did the recipe change? Why has the quality gone done? Where is the texture? I do hope it comes back because we’ve been going since they opened and I used to order all the time. They even did a pan for our baby shower in 2019. Sad to see such a place go downhill in quality (popularity means nothing).
