Nice restaurant and bar. The food was excellent. The brisket tasted like meat candy and the ribs fell right off the bone. They have a great dinner menu, and the bar also has some interesting house drinks. The interior is also very modern and visually pleasing. It's a great place for a drink or meal.
We ate here (my coworker and I) while staying at the hotel for a conference and thought the food was quite good and service was good (excellent at the bar in fact). Their smoked old fashioned is top shelf and the chicken flatbread pizza is delicious. The flatbread pizza was so good we came back another night to get it again.
I really enjoyed my time at the District restaurant! We arrived during lunch hour, and were seated immediately. The lunch selection menu is not as vast as other meals, however the food was quite delicious and brought out quite quickly! The presentation of the food and restaurant were amazing. I highly recommend this place to all, and I look forward to returning here in the future!
I saw that this spot had great food reviews and I’ve been here in the past for a drink or two, so I decided to stop by for the entree offerings. I had their Crispy fish tacos, angry chicken sandwich with truffle Parmesan fries, and a tres leches cake followed by a vanilla ice cream. The fish taco was phenomenal, mainly because of the sauce and the type of tortilla it had. My only critique was, I wish it were crispier, the fish tasted like it was fried before and then just reheated. Overall it was one of the best crispy fist tacos I’ve ever had, if I retry it again with a more crispier fish, I’d put it at the top. Now the angry chicken sandwich was also very delicious, I love that they used thigh meat because you can taste the flavor difference. The truffle fries that came with it was ok, and didn’t really bring out the truffle permesan flavor too much and it wasn’t too crispy either. The tres leches cake was also very phenomenal, but I don’t consider this a traditional tres leches as compared to the ones I’ve had at La Monarca etc. It was more of a delicious dry cake but lacked the milky/wet/extra moist characteristics that I thought it would have. The ice cream was a nice touch to kind of fill that part. I’d definitely come back here again and it looks like an excellent place during the night. Parking is covered but I don’t know if this spot validates, either way it’s worth the trip.
Great place for after work cocktails and shared plates. Service was awesome and check out the drinks! You can even give them one of your photos and they will put it on your drink
I absolutely loved this place! the fish tacos were especially noteworthy to a pescatarian like myself! BUT IF YOU GET AN ESPRESSO MARTINI THEYLL PRINT A LITTLE PHOTO ONTO IT and the dog was soooo cute! you can even airdrop them one and they’ll print one of your own face (which I think would be a great prank on a friend who doesn’t know so when they pull up they’re confused as to how their face is on it!!) Anyway, we came here for my dad’s birthday and our server was the nicest gentleman (I’m sorry I don’t remember your name!) and the man who brought out the food had the most soothing voice, like he should have a podcast. It was dead on a Thursday night which I don’t understand because this place is a gem that deserves more recognition! I look forward to returning in the near future.
While staying at the Grand Sheraton Hotel, there was no choice because there was only one restaurant, but the food was better than I expected. The servers were also friendly, and from the second visit, they recognized me and treated me more kindly, and gave me service food. I tried various things other than the pictures I posted, and they were all delicious.
Food tasted pretty good. Huge chunks of crab in the crab cakes. The service was good and very attentive. Ambiance was great because they had on the NBA FINALS. They charge an automatic 20% gratuity. The only steak was a ribeye. I wish they had a filet mignon.

District is such a cool spot right in the middle of downtown LA! The vibe is super chill but still feels special, and the setup inside is seriously amazing. It's the kind of place where you just want to hang out all night. Perfect for dinner, drinks, or just catching up with friends. Definitely a must-visit if you're in the area!

District is a stylish modern restaurant that offers a diverse menu including contemporary American dishes, craft cocktails, and innovative small plates. The trendy ambiance, LED lighting, and attentive service create a perfect setting for social dinners or weekend outings. Their fusion of flavors and quality ingredients make it a popular spot for foodies.
The true mark of a quality establishment is its ability to maintain excellence under pressure, and The District demonstrates this masterfully during the busy lunch rush. Upon arrival during peak midday service, we were immediately escorted to our table, a testament to their highly efficient logistical management. This seamless seating process is critical for professionals seeking a refined yet time-conscious dining experience. While the lunch menu selection is, by design, more curated than the exhaustive dinner offerings, this focused approach is a significant asset. It allows the kitchen to execute a select range of dishes with remarkable speed and consistency. The food itself was delicious, arriving at the table with impressive velocity, which speaks volumes about the kitchen’s discipline and organization. Beyond flavor and speed, The District excels in presentation. The restaurant's interior design is sleek and sophisticated, providing a polished and engaging backdrop for the meal. Furthermore, the plating of each dish demonstrates genuine artistry, elevating simple lunch fare into a visual delight. Each element was meticulously arranged, underscoring the high standards upheld by the culinary team. In summary, The District is highly recommended for its impeccable service, efficient operation, and commitment to aesthetic quality, both on the plate and throughout the dining room. It’s a reliable destination that guarantees both speed and sophistication, and I eagerly anticipate my next return.
The place was modern clean service was great. My daughters loved their food. The only thing for me the chicken taste a little dry on my pasta.

The team accommodated a work lunch reservation for me and my team. District was a perfect choice! It was classy casual and had the perfect relaxed yet professional ambiance. I would also go outside of work now as well!

Coming from the east coast i was pleasantly surprised when i was told the crab cakes were good and they actually are!!!! It’s not quite a Maryland crab cake but it is the best lump crab cake out of Maryland that i have found!!!!! And believe me (as an airline pilot) i look.. and look… and look! I also sampled The roasted chicken and its very juicy and favorable... As a fat man with a very specified palette i highly recommend the District and will definitely be returning!!!!!! Awesome job guys!!! Keep up the good work!!!!
Great restaurant for a casual lunch, dinner or a drink. Nice alcohol selection and new American cuisine menu. Service is prompt and waiting staff is super nice. Ordered the smoked brisket which was very good, but still doesn't compete with traditional smoking spots. Cheesecake was nice, but not mind blowing. Good experience overall for the location. They have available power plugs on the table.

I attended dinner on the first night of Dine LA (with an online reservation). It was a bit hectic/disorganized on the restaurant side, so I decided to eat at the bar. The bartending staff were efficient, friendly and had great mixology knowledge. The ambience in the entire place was excellent - music at the right level, good crowds, good vibe. The food was quite good. Portions were perfect and quality was great. I had had the pepper and mushroom to start - the balance could have used a bit more mushroom but the flavour and textures were spot on. The bisque was a bit thick. The beef paparedelle was excellent, I highly recommend it. Their bread pudding was sweet, moist, had great texture as well. Highly recommended for groups, couples or individuals. It's located in 'The Block', so off the street and on the ground floor of the complex but well worth finding. Enjoy.
Very good food served in a a nicely curated restaurant. The egg burrito was very good and tasty. The service is a bit slow as it took 20 minutes to be served and the place was relatively empty.
The service was exceptional. I couldn't have asked for better. I ordered a cocktail and had it sitting as I was reading. Before I even noticed, my server went ahead and ordered a replacement after they noticed a couple of gnats in my drink.
Not staying in the hotel but seen this place passing by and glad I stopped. The vibe is trendy and calm with a unique decor. Food was slightly better than average but the service was top notch so I'd come back for that alone. I'd recommend the Yucca Fries!!
Just visited this location bc the pictures looked nice, however I was quite underwhelmed with my experience. My server was nice, but they seem understaffed. The bar area was busy & the first place you walk into. I didn't feel that welcomed as I walked through to the restaurant area. The host was nice & had a nice smile. The server wasnt attentive & i don't think he introduced himself.. just said thanks for waiting. They also have automatic gratuity of 20%. I ordered crab cakes, they had a strong fish smell & lacked flavor. It did have a decent amount of crab in it. I ordered the salmon w/ mash potatoes & vegetable medley. The salmon was a pretty large portion. The potatoes were stiff but tasted good. Vegetables were squash & zucchini, peppers/onions. I was hoping for an actual medley of veggies. I had chocolate lava cake for dessert, it was really good.. a scoop of ice cream would've set it off though. Overall okay place. I spent $122 (2 kids meals included). I don't really Reccomend if you're big on flavor. ♡
I had higher hopes for this swanky plaza-level restaurant beneath the Sheraton’s lobby, but overall the food fell a little flat and the service left something to be desired. The atmosphere is pretty cool, however, with low-lighting, interesting features, and comfortable seating. The service wasn’t bad exactly, but it was a bit spotty. The server was friendly and jovial, but didn’t come around too often after first taking our order. The food itself was cooked well, but the chicken sandwich and quinoa bowl were bowl a bit flavorless. The chicken was juicy and fried well on the sandwich, but had little to no flavor, and the coleslaw didn’t have much flavor either. The star of the show was the cheeseburger, but it wasn’t necessarily anything to write home about. It tasted good, the beef was seasoned, and the toppings were fresh. The prices were reasonable for DTLA and a hotel restaurant, but still a bit high for the delivery. There are better places to spend $25+ per person on a better tasting meal, but I wouldn’t say this place is terrible or anything—it’s a middle-of-the-road spot with OK food, but not much more.
Pros: - Atmosphere and service were quite nice. - Well-stocked bar and a couple local beers on the limited tap. Cons: - The grilled salmon was tender but seriously lacking in flavor. Almost as if they took raw salmon, tossed it on the grill, then served it with a spoonful of mango relish in hopes that would land well. It didn’t. - The spinach was flavorful, if a bit salty, but the texture was a bit rubbery for a mid-scale+ restaurant. - The happy hour is a bit deceiving, with only Miller Lite or Bud Lite on that menu. The included cocktails lack imagination, made with the same ingredients any run-of-the-mill bar uses. - 20% staff tip automatically included. No incentive to drive better service and a disincentive to those of us who might otherwise tip more. Takeaway: - If you’re going to eat here, go with something fried and safe. Don’t expect a decent or interesting drink unless you pay LA retail. Better yet, find a better value with the plethora of other options in and around the LA Financial District. Recommendations to the GM: - Can the mandatory tipping. When you make me give, I don’t want to give more. - Make all your drinks interesting and unique—then put some of those on the happy hour menu (including a local beer). - Remove any menu items you’re not willing to make exceptional (the salmon and the spinach). - Focus on quality and value. Entice me to want to come back and spend money here.

Food was lacking! Needs to do better. I ordered Yucca fried. Very good. And then ordered the Salmon Dinner with mashed potatoes and spinach. Both the spinach and mashed potatoes were served cold. Absolutely cold. Needs improvement. Service was nice.
Ordered Ahi Tuna Salad and this plate arrived with 4 small strips of tuna for $22! Small Tuna appears to be over done. Nothing about this plate says $22. Yucca Fries were fine. Maybe this is an after work drink spot. Wouldn't recommend for lunch.

Went on Valentine’s Day and waited about 30 minutes for a table, which honestly wasn’t bad at all considering we didn’t have reservations. That part was actually impressive. Unfortunately, once we were seated in the bar area, the experience went downhill. It took about an hour for our server to come by and take our drink and appetizer order. Our appetizers arrived roughly 40 minutes later, but no one came back to take our dinner order. We finally placed our order— only to wait yet another hour for the food. At that point, we decided to have it packed up to go. We were seated at 7:52 PM and didn’t receive our food (to-go) until 9:40 PM. First impressions really matter, and this experience just didn’t meet expectations. This was my first visit, and unfortunately, it will likely be my last. I’m giving two stars because the Old Fashioned was excellent — definitely the highlight of the evening.
As a resident of Downtown LA I have been here a few times But last night was dissapointing. I sat outside and the staff took 30 minutes to come out to take my order it was not until I came inside to tell the bar tender I needed help. Keep in mind the place was not busy.. food quality has definately gone down they brought me a cheese burger and it was under cooked and my tuna salad was extra wet from over washing. Will not be coming back anytime soon
