The service and food was great. We ordered the chicken satay and meatballs for appetizers and were very happy with them. The entrees we ordered were the chicken pad Thai and basil chicken over rice. They were amazing. The best thing was the desserts. We got the Cardi B Mango Coconut sticky rice and Thai donuts. They were so yummy.

I came here with a group of friends and we all loved it. The food was delicious and full of flavor - my favorite dish was the Curry Tofu. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better for all of us. Highly recommend - we will be back soon !

Emporium Thai was absolutely phenomenal! The curry was rich and delicious with just the right hint of heat, and the drunken noodles were outright excellent. The Thai tea was perfectly refreshing and spot-on. From the moment we arrived, the service was outstanding—we were greeted by friendly staff, and our server “Smile” truly lived up to her name. She was incredibly attentive, always refilling our drinks and serving everything with the warmest attitude and a genuine smile. What made the evening even more special was when the owner and chef sat down with us for a bit. They shared their passion for staying true to traditional Thai plates while incorporating contemporary twists, giving us real insight into their vision. We dined on the heated patio, which was cozy and comfortable—perfect for a cooler evening. This spot feels ideal for a date night, and I can’t recommend it enough. They’re currently working on their liquor license, which will be an exciting addition soon. In the meantime, their creative mocktails are delicious and offer a tasty preview of what’s to come. Hands down, one of the best Thai spots in the Sawtelle area!

We celebrated Johnny’s birthday here and everything was perfect. The food was delicious, especially the Pad Thai and Massaman Curry, and the Thai donuts were the best ending. The staff went above and beyond to make the night special — great setup, great vibe, great service. Easily one of the best group dinners we’ve had in LA!

One of the best Thai restaurants in LA! The food is really fresh with clean ingredients (no MSG), and you can taste the difference. Great ambience and wonderful service. Try their Phuket Wings which has the authentic family-recipe for the southern curry sauce — absolutely delicious! Looking forward to being back again

A really nice and fancy place to have great Thai food in LA! We randomly discovered it and it was above and beyond our expectations. The food was really well balanced and authentic. The ambience was amazing and the service was very good! Highly recommend it, though the spice levels here are a bit deceptive (we tried 4/10, and we love spicy, but it was a bit too much).

This is a review on an order I placed through Uber Eats. I ordered the Holy Basil Chicken, medium spice. Let’s start with something I like when I order takeout. The ability to modify items to your dish and make comments so they don’t get the order wrong. They don’t allow modifications and no comments. I have to say, this is one of the few times I was glad that I had to eat it as is. The ingredients is what makes the dish, THE dish. If you add something, it becomes a different dish. It’s no longer authentic. I learned that thru eating this dish tonight. Normally I would be slightly annoyed, but tonight I say thanks to them for staying true to original Thai food. This dish reminded me of the Holy Basil I cooked at a school in Chiang Mai, Thailand. The class walked to the local market and picked our veggies from the local market. The picture is that market. All the green and vibrant colors in my dish took me back to that experience. The dish was robust with different flavors and textures. Savory and smelled delicious. The bell peppers were that right amount of crunch. Normally, they make my stomach hurt. Tonight they were so good I was willing to suffer. I ate a lot, a lot and I felt fine. The medium spice was just the right balance of both. Good portions, quality containers, arrived hot, with no mistakes. I also love that they mention that it has no fish sauce. If a Thai place can’t affirm that, I’m not eating there. I’m allergic. I give them Not 5 stars, but 10 stars. The best Thai food I’ve had in LA since 2000. I’m a tough critic. I write reviews only for places that are unforgettable or a place I regretted. Ironically we ordered takeout after 12 hours of moving long distance. Our last meal in LA. Thank you for making it memorable, and as I said before “UNFORGETTABLE.” It’s a must try!

I am so thankful that Emporium Thai is open pretty late on weekdays. It is a struggle to locate spots whose last call for food is normally 9pm, but this is a go to spot for those that work late night shifts that need to find quality food to eat. This spot is cozy, clean, offering exceptional service with a beautiful and authentic Thai touch. The people that work here are so friendly and attentive - not once did I have to seek them out for refills, add ons, and the check.

This is the most special spot with incredible food I would recommend it to every single person!! The crab fried rice was so unique and tasty I would go back time and time again for it. The best Wong tongs and wings! Chef John is incredbily talented and makes sure everything is super fresh. He has the best group of people working there and the ambiance is perfect. The mango sticky rice and Thai doughnuts are a perfect dessert!

I’m still thinking about the food hours later, that’s how you know it was GOOD. Walked into Emporium Thai on a whim and left in a full-on food coma. The flavors here? Next level. We started with the viral Black Pink Lisa Balls (yes, I was influenced) and they were crispy, creamy, and ridiculously addicting. You have to try them. The drunken noodles had the perfect amount of heat, and the vegan green curry with tofu was rich and full of depth - even meat lovers would be impressed. Also tried the Peking duck and soft shell crab (YOLO), and both were perfection. Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, not greasy at all. The staff was super friendly and made great recs. Ambiance is casual but cute! great for a weeknight dinner or even a casual date. FI’ve eaten a LOT of Thai food in LA, but this might be my new favorite spot. It legit made me feel like I was back in Thailand. 10/10.

Upon walking in, the restaurant had such a cozy and intimate ambiance! It was a really cute place, and the waitress who took care of us was extremely friendly and checked up on us multiple times. The food was great — I really liked the pad see ew and the thai tea! Would come again.

Had an incredible time at Emporium Thai yesterday with my friends! Every bite and every sip was a delight — the red wine and Thai tea were spot-on. My absolute favorite was the mango salad — so fresh and flavorful! The donut for dessert was fantastic, the perfect sweet ending to the meal. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the staff were attentive and friendly. Can’t wait to come back!

Small, intimate Thai restaurant in Westwood, worth the visit. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the food was served in a timely manner! It was our first time there, and we will definitely be back! My husband and I had crab fried rice for the first time. It was DE-licious! No soy sauce is required! We also had their chicken pad Thai. Also delicious! They have a "wall of fame" of celebrities that dine there! Unfortunately, we saw no stars this evening! If you're in the area, give them a try!

An intimate and cozy setting as soon as you walk in. The walls are adorned with pictures of celebrities who have dined here in the past, so I assume this place must be great! I opted for the fan favorite, pad Thai with chicken for the main course and veggie spring rolls for appetizers. I was not disappointed with either. Generous portions that are packed with flavor. The vegetables and peanuts pair well with the soft noodles. The spring rolls are golden with the right amount of crunch, and when dipped with their special sweet and sour sauce, you won't be able to stop eating! Excellent staff and very friendly service that tend to your needs. Definitely coming back here again.

Emporium Thai is a gem worth visiting, especially if you’re in the UCLA area. The moment you step inside, you’re greeted by walls adorned with photos of celebrities, setting the tone for an acclaimed dining experience. It’s clear that this restaurant, an award-winning institution since 2000, has earned its reputation. My first experience with their food was a takeout order, which impressed me so much that I had to visit in person. Yesterday, I finally enjoyed a sit-down meal at the restaurant, and it exceeded my already high expectations. The menu is extensive, but we settled on noodles, curry, and green beans with garlic. Every dish was bursting with flavor, with well-developed spices that truly set this place apart. Lots of vegetarian and gluten free options! Speaking of spice, their heat levels are no joke! Even level 3 packed a punch, so I can only imagine the fire of a level 10. If you’re a spice enthusiast, Emporium Thai offers an adventurous culinary challenge. The service was quick, and the staff was friendly. It’s easy to see why this restaurant has a loyal following and why celebrities are drawn to it. For the perfect ending to your meal, I recommend heading to Saffron & Rose for some unique Persian ice cream to cool down your palate after the spice. Emporium Thai is truly a must-visit, combining fantastic food, excellent service, and a touch of Hollywood charm.

Talk about tasty Thai! One of my favorite Thai spots in Los Angeles! You could try to wear it out but it just never gets old. So scrumptious!! I could go on about what I had and blah blah blah and although I've been there a handful of times, I've never had anything I didn't like. Also if you enjoy spicy, they have no problem turning up the heat so find your "heat(#)index" and get turnt. Plenty to choose from on the menu and offers a good price range for the great quality of cuisine. The restaurant boasts a celebrity clientele and has pictures and slideshows of them all over so there's plenty to look at during the short wait for the food to come out. Emporium Thai is IT...you'll love it so go lift your spirits a little today.

The food was decent and the service was good. While it wasn’t the best Thai food I’ve had, it was still enjoyable. The atmosphere inside was nice. One thing to note is that the tip was calculated after tax. I passed by some homeless individuals on the way to the restaurant, which is common in the area.

We visited Emporium Thai on Westwood Blvd and had an overall good experience. The happy hour prawns were tasty, especially with the sauce over them, and the chicken dumplings, while not extraordinary, were still flavorful and enjoyable. Drinks were a strong point—the Thai tea was smooth and pretty good loved the ice on it, and the Mai Tai was well made. For entrees, the tom yum soup was a little too sweet and heavy on the coconut milk for my taste, but the panang curry had a nice depth of flavor and was satisfying. The clear standout of the evening was the Cardi B Sticky Rice and Mango. As simple as it looks, it was absolutely delicious and easily the best part of our dinner. We’d like to come back and give it another chance by trying some of the celebrity-recommended dishes. For now, we’re giving it a solid 4 stars.

We recently dined at Emporium Thai, and while the overall experience wasn't bad, there were a few highs and lows worth sharing. Ambience: The inside dining area is definitely the better pick — cozy and less noisy. It had a more welcoming vibe compared to the main dining setup. Food: Be very careful with the spice levels! We initially ordered a spice level 4 out of 10, thinking it’d be mild to medium — but it was extremely spicy. Even level 3 packed serious heat. We finally settled on level 2, which was more manageable. If you're not a spice warrior, start low! That said, the papaya salad and mango salad were refreshing and delicious. The mango sticky rice was a solid closer — sweet, creamy, and well-balanced. Drinks were also on point and complemented the meal nicely. (We got Mezcal based drink and Lychee Martini) Unfortunately, the Phuket wings didn’t quite hit the mark — kind of meh and forgettable. Service: Could’ve been better. A bit slow and not very attentive, we struggled a bit. Overall: Not a bad experience, but there’s definitely room for improvement — especially in terms of service . Would return for the salads and mango sticky rice… and maybe to explore the cocktail menu further (with a glass of milk on standby just in case!).

I was craving Thai food after having a very long day and I happened to come across this restaurant. I called wanting to place an order but the automated person kept saying place the order online. I wanted to talk to an actual person because I wanted my pad see ew spicy or to see if they’re able to make it spicy. But the call wouldn’t connect me to anyone so I placed my order online. On my notes I wrote 3 stars please hoping that it was some hint of spice. Nope there’s nothing not a hint of chili flakes. For almost $30 and after a long day, I was pretty upset.

I ordered chicken fried rice to-go from Thai Emporium, but had a chance to soak in the atmosphere while waiting. The restaurant’s dark, cozy decor creates a lovely, intimate vibe that really sets the mood. When it comes to the food, the flavors are spot on—the chicken fried rice was both tasty and bursting with authentic flavor. However, the portion size left something to be desired. For the price, I expected a more generous serving, and the small size was a bit of a disappointment. On a positive note, the staff was very friendly and attentive, which always enhances the dining experience. In summary: flavors on point, but the value for money isn’t quite there. Great ambiance and delicious food, though you’ll want to be prepared for a smaller serving than anticipated.

We came to Emporium Thai for their Dine LA set recently with a reservation for three people. Despite having made a reservation, we were sat at a table for two, and even when other tables were available for 3-4 people, we were not allowed to be moved (before our food had even been served). Having ordered one set per person with different dishes, there were 3 appetizers and 3 entrees so it was rather uncomfortable to have so little space for all the dishes. Even when bringing out the dishes, service was slow with some requests like extra bowls or chopsticks being forgotten about. Our poor experience with the service could be excused if the food was at least better than the service we got, but the food was at best mediocre. Despite having ordered medium spicy for the dishes, not a single dish (not even the papaya salad!!) had even a note of spice. All of the dishes were excessively sweet and lacked depth of flavor, missing key flavor notes usually expected in an authentic Thai dish. The papaya salad was bland, overly sweet and lacked any note of fish sauce, the tom yum soup was extremely sweet, tasting like sweet and sour sauce, and the pad thai was also very sweet. The crispy pork and boat noodles were on the better side, but still disappointing considering the popularity and reputation of the store (shown in-store by the plethora of photos with celebrities and celebrity chefs across the walls). Overall, the service was disappointing but the food was surprisingly more disappointing and inauthentic. 2/5
