Amazing experience at India’s Tandoori in Hollywood! The food is full of authentic Indian flavors, and I really appreciate that everything is Halal with great Vegan options. The tandoori dishes were perfectly cooked, and the spices were well balanced. Friendly staff and a clean, welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended!

I came to this Indias Tandoori Hollywood restaurant yesterday. Yesterday was Labor Day. The restaurant was very busy and our entire family really liked the look of the restaurant environment. A clean restaurant and every chair and table in the restaurant was spotlessly clean. A big thank you to the team at Hollywood Restaurant for the hospitality they provided us during such a busy time.

Really solid Indian food. Onion bhaji to start. Shrimp Tikka masala, bhindi bhaji, rice and garlic Naan for dinner. So many good flavors. Plenty of food for 2. The place is done up with a really nice decor.

First evening in LA and Indian tandoori hollywood was the perfect choice. Excellent food, quick quality service and comfortable ambience. I ordered the Hyderabadi mutton dum biryani, Mango lassi. Highly recommend both the dishes. No excess spices and super light on the palette 🙌🏼good portion. The rice was light, juicy tender mutton chunks, did not make us bloat and gloat after consuming! The biryani was served with yummy raita. Pista kulfi was a packaged one but worth it! Would love to visit again :)

I recently visited this restaurant and tried their Butter Chicken Curry and Lamb Curry. The lamb is always freshly sourced, which makes it very tender and free from any unpleasant odor. I was also impressed that all the ingredients they use are organic, which added a fresh and wholesome taste to the dishes. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very inviting, creating a cozy and relaxing dining experience. On top of that, the staff provided excellent service, being both attentive and friendly throughout my visit. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for authentic Indian cuisine with great service and ambiance.

This place is so inviting I give it An A ++ for atmosphere chandeliers are so gorgeous the lighting is great tables are clean service was perfect I would definitely come back just for the amazing service. The food was great A. I got the Chicken Tikka Biryani spicy, a garlic basal naan it was soo delicious I couldn’t even finish it from how big that portion was. In the end I had a mango dessert pudding it was delicious not to sweet witch was perfect in taste. I’d definitely come back. Thank you for the experience.

We dined here last night after a very long drive from Yosemite National Park. The dinner was fulfilling. Positives: The location is good, plenty of parking, late night hours availability, good atmosphere. The chicken tikka biriyani we ordered was great to taste and made very spicy as per our request. Service was good too. Negatives: The chola Bhatura we ordered wasn’t upto the mark. The chole was delicious but the bhatura was more oily than required. Overall the experience was positive and the prices were reasonable with a good atmosphere and good service. We only ordered the following for 2 of us: Chicken Tikka Masala Biriyani - $15.95 Chole Bhature - $14.95

food was pretty good, service was pretty good— my friend and i didn’t know they charge a mandatory automatic gratuity fee. usually an agf is for groups of 6 or more never two ppl so we were honestly a littleeeee surprised when our server told us “u have to tip” we usually tip regardless but the service wasn’t needed since we chose the lunch buffet not menu ordering so we didn’t get much service bc we didn’t ask for any rlly. no one’s fault on that end rlly it’s jsut weird that they made us pay it like it were a fee of some sort so watch out for that if ur going alone or with a u and a friend!!!

I ordered chicken pakora and sheekh kabob on DoorDash and was a little disappointed. The picture of kabob showed 6 dry ones on a plate and I thought to myself wow what a great deal. However, when it came, it was 2 cut up kabobs with red chili paste over rice. This is very different from how kabobs are usually sold and if I knew that’s what it was, I wouldn’t have ordered it.

Honestly first the host isn’t welcoming. He’ll just stare untill you ask for a seat, steward cannot even suggest you any food just by saying its all on the menu. Now the food, it doesn’t even taste anything like what item you ordered. Oh boy I’ve had a worst dinner experience. Atmosphere is fine but if you are on window seats you’ll never know the Air Conditioning of the place and you’ll sweat if the food is mild to hot. Bread is dry everything is cold. Also made you wait for 30mins to ready the order while said it’ll take only 10/15mins. The portion size the prices I’m outraged because my dinner is ruined.

Disappointing Dining Experience The only redeeming quality of this restaurant is the ambience, which, admittedly, is quite pleasant. However, that’s where the positives end. If you’re looking for good service, you won’t find it here. The staff greets you politely enough but then seems to lose interest in providing basic amenities. When we arrived, we were casually told to sit wherever we wanted. No napkins or utensils were provided at the table, which was a surprising oversight. After realizing our initial seating choice wasn’t comfortable, we asked for a change. The staff took their time, arriving five minutes later only to instruct us again to sit wherever we wanted—this time, asking us to carry our plates and utensils with us. The neglect in service continued with the complimentary papad they served, which appeared to be leftovers from the buffet. The sauces on the table were unappetizing, with remnants of melted or old papad mixed in, adding to the overall sense of uncleanliness. As for the food, it was a major letdown. I ordered garlic naan, tandoori roti, shahi paneer, and chicken karahi. Despite the chef’s confidence in these dishes, the food quality was subpar. The chicken karahi was bland, consisting mostly of sautéed onions and tomato paste with no real flavor or spice. The shahi paneer was slightly better, but when we asked for more spice, the chef merely sprinkled some pepper and masala powder on top, which did nothing to improve the taste. The garlic naan was soggy and far from fresh, and the tandoori roti, which I specifically requested to be soft, was instead overcooked and crispy in a way that ruined the texture. In summary, this is not authentic Indian food, and the experience was far from what I expected. I’m not sure if previous reviews praised the chandeliers or the food, but from my visit, it’s clear that the latter certainly doesn’t deserve any accolades.

Liars!!! Every time I order food from this place they always managed to mess it up and send the wrong thing, including lying about their own “white meat” meals. They put two pieces of chicken breast in there and the rest dark Mete thinking that no one’s going to notice. The past two times I ordered it. I ordered sagg on the side and got some beans instead. On top of that their undercooked rice pudding made me sick. Not a fan of this place!

Our experience here was disappointing, even though the food itself was acceptable. After we finished eating, we moved to a cleaner table to sit and enjoy our tea. Two different staff members approached us at separate times, both clearly unhappy that we had changed tables. I explained that we could return to the original table if needed, but one of them insisted, “No, we will clean it either way,” in a tone that didn’t feel welcoming. We had requested plain tea with no added flavor, but it was served with cinnamon. When one of my friends mentioned we didn’t want it because of the taste, the server replied, “Don’t drink it, it’s ok,” then took the cups and threw them into the trash bin near the guest washroom aggressively. Their menu is also extremely text-heavy and overwhelming to read. It’s not appealing or easy to navigate, and updating it to a clearer, simpler layout would greatly improve the customer experience. Another thing worth noting is the 18% service charge added to the bill. When we asked about it, we were told it’s mandatory, which came as a surprise considering the level of service we received. Overall, the service felt unprofessional and unwelcoming, and with the menu design and mandatory service charge, the experience did not justify the visit. I would not return based on this experience.

Food taste is okay, however Menu is misleading. They have more than 150 items on their Menu but only 5-6 items can be served. It is their implicit way to push you to go for Buffet. For instance, we asked about Salty Lassi which was mentioned in the menu but they apologized to serve it. Plus, the buffet seem overpriced considering the items included in it. They haver 6-7 dishes in the buffet and don't have any sweet dish, hot or cold drink. Spending $25+tax on a buffet with limited items do not make sense. Management should think about it.

I visited this restaurant on 11/28/2025 with two others. At the time, they were serving breakfast and a buffet. Two of us ordered breakfast, and one person chose the buffet. The buffet was $25, and our total bill came to $63, which was reasonable. During our meal, my partner simply tasted a small portion from my plate to check the quality of the food — not to share the buffet. They preferred a light breakfast and intentionally did not order the buffet. Meanwhile, I didn’t even take full advantage of the buffet selection; I only picked a few items based on my appetite, and my partner wanted to taste the food to decide whether to order something else. However, what happened next was extremely disappointing: The owner watched us on the camera, recorded the footage, and sent it to the waitress with instructions to show ua the video when we would pay the final bill. The way it was handled made us feel as if we were doing something wrong or trying to cheat the restaurant, which was absolutely not the case. I rarely write negative reviews, but this experience says a lot about how this “family-owned” business is being run. People taste each other’s food all the time. It helps them decide if they want to return and order more in the future. A respectful approach would have left a positive impression, but instead, the owner’s behavior ruined our experience and made us feel unwelcome. If the owner paid more attention to the overall dining experience instead of monitoring cameras to find issues where there are none, the restaurant would retain more customers. Respect goes a long way, especially in hospitality.
