Authentic oaxacan food. Tlayuda mixta is the best. Alambres Oaxaqueños or Enchiladas Oaxaqueñas. Those dishes are the best 3 they have. 100%recommend, don't forget to try the micheladas, passion fruit is great.

Been in the neighborhood for sometime always stopping at little taco truck and little restaurant near compare recently ordered on GrubHub the food was so good we decided to dine in this evening great idea.This restaurant is truly based on quality not quantity so if you are looking for big Mexican style Feast this might not be for you but if you are looking for Quality that will fill you up with amazing flavors and taste Somos Oaxaca food beverages and service exceeded our expectations. We stopped by on a Friday night and we were pleasantly surprised by the live music that started while we were there. The salsa, guacamole and cocktails were delicious, the tamarind margarita was a favorite. We were there during happy hour and they had a nice selection on their happy hour menu. The patio is nice and spacious, the bathrooms were clean and the staff was great! We ran out of time to order dinner but I will definitely be back to try more.

Somos Oaxaca really IS Oaxaca. I tried the tlayuda mixta, this has to be the best tlayuda in LA, all the authentic Oaxacan flavors are really there. I've ordered take out but I wanted to reserve my review until I actually dined in. It finally happened this past weekend and I am truly happy it did. My husband and I stopped by this past Friday and the food was absolutely delicious. We started off with queso fundido, this was accompanied with flour tortillas, super delicious, we had a maracuyá michelada, super refreshing and had great flavor!! We ordered the chorizo and papa flautas along with the tlayuda, wow!!!! Everything was fresh and super delicious. We finished off with a buñuelo dessert, this was served beautifully with the best leche quemada ice cream I have ever had. It truly brought back memories of my trip to Oaxaca last summer. They have a small menu, but there is nothing small about the flavor! I have recommended this restaurant to everyone I know, EVERYONE, I am truly impressed! The service was great, the owner was also there, he even poured my husbands beer, he is very kind and very hardworking, he even asked for recommendations, but non needed, he is doing an excellent job. I cannot wait to go back!

I placed an order to go and it was ready on time, which is super important for me. The burrito i ordered initially seemed a little pricey for me, but when I took that thought back when I saw how huge my burrito was. It was freshly made and so delicious! It also came with a side of chips and salsa, which I appreciated. Worth every penny, 10/10.

It’s super rich, smoky, a little bitter, with that hint of sweetness and chocolate that sneaks up after a few bites. The chicken just soaks it all in, and the rice on the side is perfect for mopping up the extra sauce. It feels like one of those dishes you just sit with and savor because every bite hits a little differently. Then I went for the chapulín taco plate. Yeah, the grasshopper one lol. They come toasted, crunchy, kind of nutty and tangy, and when you build the taco with the Oaxacan cheese, guac, onions, and lime, it all balances out. The texture is wild but in a good way. Definitely feels like a “lean into it” type of dish, but it’s actually really good once you do. Together, it felt like I got the best of both worlds from the deep, soulful side of Oaxaca with the mole, and to the bold, adventurous side with the bug taco.

After years of driving by this place we finally checked it out last night. EVERYTHING was delicious. The flan is a must try! Can’t wait to return.

I have to say that their breakfast was delicious, but kinda pricey. I think I'll stick to CJ's Café for breakfast. Dinner, on the other hand, I'll spend more money on a dinner entrée, so we'll probably come back for dinner. The service was great!

I have gone to a lot of oaxacan restaurants. Unfortunately this one is the worst so far and very expensive. Please get a new chef and work on original decor

Came here to dine out of convenience. The meal was underwhelming :( I ordered tacos which, after inspecting, had at most 2 pieces of meat - the rest was fatty. My husband and I were also excited for the cochinita pibil plate, and weren't satisfied unfortunately....

The person who took my order on the phone seem friendly enough, the place looks great and the people were nice . It was just the tlayuda I got was so salty I couldn’t even finish it .

I live right next to this place. Very inconsiderate and blasts repetitive music that the entire block can hear about, being inside of it genuinely hurts your ears if you aren't adjusted to concerts. The food is pretty good, and decoration is warm/welcoming. Wouldn't say it's the most sanitary since they have a chronic rat issue that leaks over into the neighborhood, but pretty okay cooking environment inside wise.

Even the water was terrible. I chose to eat tacos and they were so tiny barely the size of my hand. Nothing they had was spicy. My mother asked the waitress if they had Nicuatole and she looked so confused. All the dishes were just normal mexican recipes. One too salty, another no flavor, the only one that was good were the chapulines which were already pre-packaged when they got to the restaurant. We are definitely not going back there again. I should have asked for military discount to save for some of the terrible food.

Extremely friendly and clean establishment. On the other hand the food was very salty and unpleasant to eat.

Ordered agua chiles it was a very small portion about 6 shrimps and no tostadas also ordered chili relleno plate that had just a small portion of rice not able to eat it because it was covered with a spicy salsa I think was habanero and a horchata that taste like water with cinnamon, definitely not original Oaxaca food at all. I don’t mind it being pricy if it’s worth it but not worth it at all. Service was a 10 very polite and professional.
