i was very pleasantly surprised by the double decker burger I got from this location. it was delicious and the sauce included was too! I know the ice creams would be good too, they are at every location.

It’s all about the old fashioned service and the flavors that stay true through the decades! Gotta try the Chocolate malt with double malt! Or ask them to blend a banana into your chocolate shake and call it a dirty monkey!

Fosters Freeze in Los Banos is great. Really clean, not fancy, but restrooms very clean and smelled clean...also food was perfectly cooked and yummy. Fish and chips were so fresh tasty not pressed fish meat. Very flakey. People friendly.

Hey....if you want a blast from the past stop at the Los Banos Foster's Freeze on Hwy 152 in Los Banos. OMG....they still have the original menu. I ordered the Chili Cheese Burger AKA the Old Fashion.... it was like I was transported back to the 70's again. Food was good...services was excellent.....and everything is made to order. I couldn't have been happier.

I love Foster's chocolate soft serve ice cream cones - not many FF locations left but when I see one I'll pull over. Glad I did in Los Banos. I'll be back!

Surprisingly delicious. We ordered a few twisters and sundaes - and the ice cream was fresh, silky smooth and yummy.

We went like at 1015 in the morning and the grill wasn't working so I opted for a chicken sandwich we got our food and eating in the car and then about 5min later they brought me a cheese burger cuz I ordered the big dipper that's why I gave them 5 stars

Their desserts were all great, and they were fairly inexpensive for what we got. Way better than a dairy queen!

This is an original Fosters Freeze in Los Banos. The original Menlo Park one is gone making them fewer. This one serves the favorite chocolate dipped cones, sundaes, banana splits, shakes, along with tasty burger selections. There is original retro 60's advertising posters of the menu items served on the dining room walls. Try to make a pilgrimage to experience the taste of the 60's ice cream and hamburger stand before it's gone.

Ac could be better for eating inside. Indoor dining room could us upgrading. I love Foster's Freeze. Lady taking orders was doing the best she could. Only 2 people working, one cook and one lady working the window.

Always my go-to stop in Los Banos between the drive between the Central Valley and Bay Area. Been getting the chocolate-banana mile shake for years!

Burgers are always made fresh and ready, their crinkle fries are my favorite as well as their onion rings. My banana strawberry shake was thick and full of fruit just like I want it!

Legend has it: this is the best Fosters Freeze in California! Everything is always fresh, the wait is never long and the staff is consistent...the burger is always the same which is why I keep coming back! Definitely ask for a cherry Pepsi, because they put actual cherries in it!! The ice cream is the best in town, and the toppings/mixings are endless..they even let you venture off menu so don't be afraid to get creative! The kids love it because they get a free ice cream with the kids meal!

I have loved the hamburgers at Fosters since I was a kid. So natural, so American. It's the only place I can eat a burger that tastes like a burger should. They have different combos . Their frostes, sundaes and shakes are the best.

I love Foster Freeze. I've been stopping at the one in Los Banos since the mid-70s and am always happy it's never changed. There aren't that many of them around anymore... Don't know what they put in that magic soft-serve but it's the taste of my childhood and their pineapple shakes are the BEST!

Good old diner vibes although the inside seating area was pretty tired looking and the bathroom was not the cleanest. The chocolate malt was very thick and delicious and it came out quickly.

There is nothing like a real creamy soft server ice cream. The staff is efficient and quick. I stop here as the halfway point when I travel around California. It's a good spot. To stop and take a break. Parking is easy. The restroom is cleaner than most.

Treated my 95 yr old Uncle to a strawberry shake ( he hadn't had one since he was a young boy) & I got a Rootbeer float. Both drinks were delicious. The employees were friendly and the service was excellent.

Great customer service, quick and efficient from beginning to end. Really like that when you ordered a shake you actually got a full cup and not a half cup full. The food had good taste and didn't have to wait long. You walk up to the window and look up at the windows and see the menu and order. You have a table outside to wait or you can enter inside and wait with AC. The eating area was clean and bathroom was was kept up and looking clean. Overall a good place to get food or a quick stop for ice cream to cool down. Would go here again if I ever go through this town.

The food was great. I ordered me the #2 and substituted the bun for lettuce with cheese. It was bomb! And the strawberry shake actually tasted like real strawberries. Omg and the onions were even better! I definitely recommend this place. Plus they have easy outdoor dining as well as inside dining. It’s at a very accessible location on Pacheco in Los Baños. Hands down really good food. And the cook had to come out to speak to me when I requested the burger wrapped in lettuce. Such a nice lady and spoke Spanish. Made my order just like I wanted it. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I don't usually pay $10 for a meal. These fries were amazing. This is what I call a fry. The cheeseburger I got had everything on it including onion rings. I ate one by itself and it was so good and crunchy. It was a big hamburger and was delicious. And with those huge fries it made it worth every penny. The only thing wrong with this meal was the small size of the drink. The fries were crunchy and I had to send a picture to my girlfriend just to show her these fries. She loves McDonald's fries. That's a joke compared to Foster's fries

Best Sundaes in town!

It has good desserts, just a little pricey. They have deep-fried burritos for a couple bucks that taste good, especially with ketchup. It's a bit dated on the inside but it never disappoints.

It brought back the old memories of younger years. We'd walk to Foster Freeze on a cold winter day and the cashier would let us pay for a 1/2 cup of hot fudge, fries and a hot burrito. It sure hit the spot on cold days, and savor it cuz we didn't have a lot of money to spend every day after school. Of course now, I fell in love with their variety of shakes with real bites of fruit. Many types of ice creams, banana split etc. It's simply good and the vanilla is old fashioned- the real deal. Great in the summer or freezing days. There's indoor seats if you need to stay out of the heat or cold.

Road side /Hyw hamburger stand in los banos An era almost gone... 50's 60's and 1970's These were everywhere now almost a thing of the past. Fosters is fosters nothing has really changed As far as the food goes the cheese burger was fresh and hot .....fries very good and super hot also. The only thing that has changed like everywhere is it is not $2.75 like in 1971. But over all value is very good. I give this blast from the past a 8.5 out of ten Really enjoyed sitting buy the side of the road eating a burger like I did as a kid with my parents. You can eat inside also... clean dining room with the AC blowing cold right now it is 98 degrees out side. Anyway this Little place....All Good

I enjoyed this experience actually! Although initially didn't think I would. The young lady who took my order was very patient, polite & friendly! The location is really close to the street couple that w/ speaking through masks, windows & passing cars/trucks can get real old quick! But she was Excellent; I should have got her name. A high school kid! The food was good too!

Our neighborhood go to place for soft serve ice cream cones. We also come here when they have special deals on food that they promote on Facebook. The food is good and the staff is always nice and friendly. I would recommend this place to my family and friends. 😋

Oh...a frosty is good any day of the year. Especially coming home from the coast. It's a nice break to take coming down off the mountain. You can sit, relax and enjoy a cold frosty. Try it on your next trip home. I am sure you will start doing it on every trip. Enjoy !!!

The food was good for a Fosters Freeze. The employees were nice and the food was served quickly and hot. One of the only drawbacks is that it was hard to hear the employee when ordering due to Hwy 152 being so close and the hundreds of cars going by. Not Fosters fault.

Great place but they sure screw your on hours. I tried to make an order at 8pm, hours are until 9pm, but apparently staff decided to close early. Oh drove by on my way somewhere else, they’re open, 1 customer, but clearly chose not to answer the phone. That’s very unprofessional

It was good. Burger was made just right. Soda cups, I wish they could be a little bigger.. Ice cream was melting a little, but not much.. it was busy.

For all the hype, I was expecting more flavor or something that would really stand out. The 1/4 lb chili burger ended up as a small thin patty which tells me super high fat content that's been rendered out of it. The chili tasted budget canned and didn't stand out in a good way. The double burger was also mediocre. The fries had great texture, but the bland flavor left a lot to be desired.

Kinda hard to mess up the ice cream so that was good. But the cook is the laziest I've ever seen. All four of the pickles in my burger were just stacked in the middle.

Overpriced food products and dirty, especially the bathrooms. The food product is inconsistent at best. Such a shame for a group that has potential. Undoubtedly needs new leadership.

Stopped here since DQ is permanently closed. Daughter n grand kids had classic burgers that tasted like fish and dry nope not a good burger at all... They said the only good thing about this stop was the browine ice cream and fudge sundae... And of course my banana split. I don't ever eat there burgers either. The restaurant area inside has a horrid smell. That hits you in the face when walking up towards the the entrance. If it wouldn't have been that it was something quick I would have said ok lets do mickey d's It doesn't look clean at all. Don't stop to eat here unless your having the ice cream. Nasty horrible place. The cashiers were friendly though.

I ordered a meal and my burger meat smelled funny so I smelt it and it was a fish smell. I had my friend smell it to make sure. I went to window to let the lady know and they said they don't sell fish products because I asked if it was cooked on the same grill. She was pretty nice about it but the 2nd burger smelt fishy to just not as bad. I stop here all the time I go out of town and never experienced this and never want to again. Sorry but you lost a customer

This Fosters eating area was not very clean. The hallway to the restrooms smelled terrible. We were there at lunch time and about thirty 3rd and 4th graders came over with 2 teachers from the elementary school next door. They were fairly loud, so we waited for our food outside where it was quite warm. It seemed to take a long time for our food even though we ordered it before the students arrived. Our food was good and very hot but had to eat in our car with it running so we could have the a.c. on. We rarely eat in my car, so that didn't sit well either.

While enjoying a delicious ice cream with my fiance we found a hair in the twister. Workers should be issued a hat or hairnet, and have their hair in a ponytail or bun.

This was the worst burger I have ever had. Patty was cooked to death and maybe 1/8 of a lb. Black and nasty. I gave it back to them with just a quizical look with no questions. We grew up at Foster's freeze and we'll, this wasn't it. Good milkshake

Always stop here when in town each weekend. Stop tonight at 9:19pm and not one employee had a mask on. Very disappointing especially with the high rise in covid numbers and all the traffic that past through that places. Will now think twice about going there and will let my friends and family in town know to be aware that staff don't wearing mask when taking order, serving or cooking food.

Too bad the shakes aren't what they were when I was younger. Now they're made with ice milk and flavored syrup (a piece of fruit is added so they can claim it has fruit) rather than just ice cream and fruit, that makes it taste like nothing they had just a few decades back. Oh well, good by to yet another memory of better foods. Guess I can add that to the ever growing list of corporate decisions that prefer profits over quality and customer satisfaction.

You have boll weevils in your establishment I ordered some food a couple of days ago and when I was signing the check a boll weevil was on the check and I killed it after I got home with my meal there was a boll weevil in my waffle fries you have an infestation of boll weevils in your establishment you need to take care of it before it gets worse.
