Popeyes locations can be hit or miss. This one is always clean, staff is friendly, and food is always fast fresh and delicious. Never any problems here.

By far the best fried chicken dinner I've had in a LONG time. Haven't eaten at a Popeyes in almost 30 years since I was a kid growing up in Hawaii. Generally, I hate fast food fried chicken because it's greasy and NASTY. But, sometimes I'll forget and have a hankering for fried chicken with biscuit, gravy, etc... and go to a KFC. That happens every 3 years or so. Then I'll remember why I stopped eating KFC and fried chicken. Just disgusting greasy chicken that tastes like a Kentucky Fried Rat. Anyways, I haven't eaten any fried chicken in over 5 years and thought I should try this place out. Man, amazing. Food was SO good, it's like better than a 4 star restaurant. Wife had shrimp po boy and fries. I had chicken, biscuit, and sides. Best food I've had in a while.

Very expensive but great food

The food is extremely good. This is a staple stop when we're in town. I have learned to check my order before I leave. Sometimes they get very busy and occasionally mix orders up. Again, the food is incredible and very yummy 😋

First time eating at Popeyes and we were impressed. The food was tasty and a little spicy. We will go back but it will be a while because its a distance from Newman. Staff was polite and came to our table to ask if everything was good and if we needed annything, unusual for a fast food restaurant.

I've been here a couple times. Service is always good. Friendly people and rather speedy with orders even during dinner time. Chicken is always hot and crispy.

Can always get my Popeye's fix here when I want it. Neat and clean and usually a friendly and efficient staff. However, I went into this particular Popeye's today and was asked if I wanted to wait on some fresh Spicy Chicken that was cooking and an Associate that was assembling my order got angry because I chose to wait for the fresher Chicken. The Associate's name was Chloe and she took the Chicken that she was packing and literally threw it back into the warmer and tossed the tongs back where they were and walked away, instead of continuing to assemble part of the order. She walked away and at that point was more interested in talking with another Associate that was in the back of Popeye's working. She has some serious anger issues, and also doesn't possess much in the way of Customer Service. She needs to watch some videos or be trained by someone who does know how to treat Customers in a Professional and courteous way, wouldn't hurt for her to smile either.

My favorite Popeyes stop BY FAR. It's always great service and the best chicken nuggets I've ever had. Sad to hear that they are discontinuing the nuggets!

Second time visiting here. Food was hot and tasty. Fry portion was a bit on the small side, but the chicken sandwich was large.

The crew today Sunday 4/25/21 @ 12:45PM Were just awesome. The line was at least 15 people long and they had everyone in line done in about 15 minutes. Also the food was very hot and fresh. They were on there game today.

I just love Popeyes period. In my opinion you can never go wrong. There are a bit ridiculous in there prices but there are always good deals going on so if you order one of the limited time deals it's not so bad.

I’m glad I stood in line.. best service I’ve had in so long I was smiling because it was in the middle of a rush and they were “short staffed”?! Places I go have lots of staff and they don’t produce service or product like this location. I am blown away! Let them train the world and show them how it’s done!!!

First time ever eating at a Popeyes, have to say we loved it. Not only was food fantastic, served quickly and hot. Anna and Daniel were very friendly, and polite, we will definitely be back on our way through this area next time. Definitely recommend you or your friends give it a try if you've been on the fence about it.

I came in from Sacramento on my way back from filming in Los Angeles and had forgotten my glasses. I told the register person I couldn't really see well because of the missing glasses, and they went above and beyond to make sure I knew what I was looking at and explained orders for me! What a beautifully accessible experience!

Stopped here on my way home from a trip, and the service here was great. We came in with a fairly large group pretty late at night( I do apologize to the employees for this). But despite this, they still got hot food to us quickly. Food quality was the same as any other Popeyes, but luckily that's good!

Crew Here is amazing. Among the most friendly staff I've seen in fast food. Went out of their to help us out and fresh cooked us a order of wings (which were amazing). Big props for also checking for apple juice for the kids. 24 wings in 12 minutes. If you are traveling and don't have a lot of time to stop, this is the place. Can't recommend more. Once again, the best staff.

So I 0ut five stars so you guys are able to see this just left Popeyes ch8vken still hot but started to eat lashed potatoes and there was plastic in my mashed potatoes no time to turn around now. Driving to Vegas bit the manager will defiantly be hearing from me. I almost choked on the plastic and theres more then just two pieces in this"large" mashed patatoes...

Good, but messed up my order twice. Luckily they gave me 4 extra wings.

Very good service, about 10 minute wait, but chicken was fresh and cashier even asked if I needed dipping sauce, honey or moist towelettes, because they were out of napkins.

My mom likes to stop here anytime she has a chance to travel. She says the chicken is fresh, hot, and crispy. I have to say that this place does take forever to get your order, so do not go hungry like my mom lol. However they do have family's and truckers who also stop here at peak travel times (summer, Winter, etc.).

I purchased the Chicken Strips, they were tasty & the biscut was warm and fresh! I had the coleslaw as my side, It was my first time ordering it. It was pretty good, too!

Arrived around lunch time, lobby was messy and the tables were dirty. Order eight piece chicken only one of the breast were over cooked otherwise not to bad.

Personally I like the taste of Popeyes then KFC. Only thing that I don't is that when I order mashed potatoes and the gravy on the side they give very little of it. I've asked about this and they've told me that they only put 1 scoop of gravy per order of mashed potatoes ordered. And since I always asked for the 16 piece meal and I get to get 3 sides since at home everybody like mashed potatoes. One thing they don't have is potatoe salad, so don't ask for them.

They are very shorthanded. Always very busy. But they did the best they could with the help they have. I'm not the one to put some business down that is at a disadvantage because the state does them all dirty

Spicy chicken sandwich DID NOT DISAPPOINT. I've had it many times here and it's always great. Only issue is sometimes the fries aren't fresh or they give me the wrong side altogether. Line is usually long but they keep things moving.

Very good, fresh chicken tenders with white meat. The only thing it's a little pricey. Even with their app.

It wasn't the best experience. We ordered 3 chicken sandwiches, 1 order of fries, a $5 box and 3 drinks. It took over 35 minutes. There were only 3 employees. I'm not sure why, if there was a cut in hours due to COVID, but they need at least one more person. The food was excellent. However, the wait time was ridiculous! And there was a waiting room full of clients. I'm giving 4 stars because I'm sure this is caused by the pandemic and not a regular occurrence of the particular store.

The speaker calling professional drivers to take a shower kind of kills the atmosphere. However the employees were phenomenal, service extremely fast, thank you guys.

I always loved popeyes chicken. Just missed a moment that it's become as much pricey as a good steak.....But good news is that in the same building at TA buffet you can have the same chicken, save yourself about 3$, and eat not only 4 piece of chicken what Popeyes picked for you, but made you choice and eat it as much as you want🙂 Free market and competition rules😉

I love the chicken at popeyes, always 10 stars. However, the fries were way over done and that was probably due to the fact that the fry cook was visibly annoyed when our cashier ordered out 5 orders of fries.

The food was to spicey for my palette, even the regular chicken. But if you like that kind of stuff then try it. People were very nice.

I ordered chicken finger and they tasted like they had been sitting out all day. Took first one back got another same problem. However, the biscuit is soooooo good with the honey sauce.

the quality of this place is lower than par. we visited around 11am and chicken was done for a while. fried chicken is small and dry. i had much better popeyes from other places before. disappointed.

Today was actually better than it has been the last 3 visits. They did have the food choices I ordered this time. The hot case must have been off, the chicken was cold, and the sole employee was making pizzas for Godfaher's, so while I was the only customer she had, I still had to wait. This one is plagued with issues since opening- still got my fingers crossed for improvement cause it's a handy stop for us.

Was dirty and the staff seemed very overworked. Many customers where not wearing masks and due to the small size there was no safe place to eat that was 6 feet away from the lineofpeople or people without masks eating.. most tables were not cleaned. They got orders wrong and were out of most sides. The food they did have was decent and it seems like a small town truck stop style so it's not unexpected how things were. For people passing through it works but thereare other places to eat in the area that are better fitted if you are looking for something a little better.

Food is good but took me 30 min to get my order. Im glad i checked in the car beacuse my order was incomplete . I was missing 2 spicy chicken sándwiches plus i order a 4 pcs meal and my fries were smashed and mixed with my Chicken. I was really dissapointed my the second consecutive time. This location Closes at 7pm!! You know, right in the middle of dinner hours when most people want to stop to eat dinner, but no they're Closed. 😡 We love Popeyes, the fried chicken is amazing and it's the best fast food option in Santa Nella, just don't plan on having dinner here.

Stopped by here on road trip along Interstate 5. Great shrimp at this price point with good chicken tenders. Mashed potatoes and gravy really good. Forgot to give me fries and a spoon. Had to go back and wait again.

I know it wasn't all there issue but my wait time was crazy and the chicken was dry and tuff. It was like no one knew what the other was doing. Food coming back cold. Normally this one of my favorites the crew was nice

Gave 2 stars because the staff was polite. I tried to redeem my 1000 rewards points but this location doesn't have a scanner so I couldn't purchase from my app, even though there's literally app advertising on the door. This has never happened to me before and I drove here from Florida.

What the hell Popeyes Chicken & Biscuits and Popeyes Famous Fried Chicken & Biscuits. I am absolutely appalled. I walked into your FEMALE bathroom to be greeted by a huge MAN sized diarrhoea in the toilet and a deceased raccoon in the vent? This is an absolute outrage and I genuinely cannot believe I am sat here writing such a foul, God awful review. Gave me PTSD.

Stood in line for about 25 min before ordering started driving back home(which is hours away) only to find out or order was wrong completely and I wasn't going to drive an extra hour just to turn around.. word to the wise don't take their word that your order is right check it before you leave..

Constantly running out of popular items. Can't think of a visit where my order was right. People at the counter not happy. I gave it several visits thinking it was just an anomaly. Just left again out of their signature items, oh well bad management.

Highly disappointing, what business opens in a truckstop, and closes at 7pm, while all other Popeye restaurants are open until at least 10pm, even the Popeyes in Buttonwillow is open until 10Pm. So to all truckers keeping the country alive, if you want dinner make sure your there by 6:59Pm, or you'll end up having to walk down the road to Carl's JR since the Country Pride is still closed. Carl's is open 24hr while they take orders inside until Midnight like a smart business.

I put in an order, online, paid for it and drove from 16 miles to pick it up only to find out that they were closed. I was there during their posted business hours but they weren't! I was told by a next door business that they don't have a manager for the evening shift so they have been closing off and on. What? Their website allowed me to place an order for pickup at a CLOSED Location?? Buyer Beware!!

This Popeyes definitely did not care about customer service. There was an insane wait time for food and there was hardly anyone there! Cashier was rude and just appeared to not want to be there. Every time I've gone to Popeyes it's been great, but not this time.

This place has fallen apart in the past 4-5 months. They are out of everything all the time and are never open when they say they are. The employees are rude and the new manager is a joke. Why would you close at 7pm? Some of us truck drivers and other people work and drive later than 7pm and would like to get a hot meal when we park but you and huddle house close early and it's B.S. no wonder your ratings are bad!

Ordered to go. No napkins, plates, or utensils. Chicken was overcooked, no butter or honey for biscuits and not enough mash potatoes for 4 people in the family meal. Very disappointed...nobody are the food. We threw it out. $25 dollars in the trash. We will never go to this chain again.

This location advertises food that they "no longer carry". They tried to "upsell" me for the popcorn shrimp combo instead... it's only $6 more then the tackle box was... and a downgrade on the quality. I passed amd took my services elsewhere

I was told my food would take 10 to 20 min when I seen all of it cooked and sitting on the counter all they had to do was put it in the box so I went next door and order chicken and it cost less and was just as good wow. would have never known if it wasn't for someone who didn't want to work. Placed an on-line order for pickup at 932. Got there and they are put of everything. Sandwiches, coleslaw and mashed potatoes with gravy. Substituted a side for extra fries. (So 3 fries and mac and cheese) got home 25 minutes away.. 2 tiny bags of fries (the box always had more in it, than i was given) and the Mac. Shorted me on a side of fries. Naturally, i noticed when i got home, and the restaurant was already closed. Not only was the food incorrect, the wait for my pickup order was an additional 10 minutes. Normally i would complain about this, but after finding my food incorrect this became an issue as well.

I would give service a minus score. I ordered a 2 piece thighs and was given a breast and a wing when I came back in to correct the problem the manager doubted me but the nice young lady that took my order told her I was correct. The manager told me to throw away the other order but I just left it on the counter. She said I was rude and I said I guess I was and kept talking smack to me as I was leaving so I gave her the one finger salute. Just want to be completely honest.

I been at the location many times… the food is good, but the restaurant is run horribly! They are ALWAYS out of something. Today, Out of nuggets, tenders, spicy bone in chicken and Mac and cheese. Your options are bone in original and chicken sandwich’s. Hope you don’t want Pepsi, because they are out of that too. The line is almost always a 15-25 min wait as well. Why do I keep coming back you ask? Because it is the only one around and I really like Popeyes!

This place has management that needs to be retrained the way they speak to the workers is an embarrassment, I was there dinning with my family and heard one of the upper management bad talk about the employees.

I got 3 pieces of white meat chicken, 1 was a nice size, and the other were 2 wings with very little meat. I did not like the fry batter, so after removing it, it wasn't to much left. For the same price you can get 2 whole chicken at Costco- without the fattening batter. I will never be back.

Got 3pc tenders combo, I got two HUGE chicken wings and one super small one. I couldn’t even eat it, I can’t do the bones in the wings that’s why I get tenders. But at least the fries were okay so I could eat something, huge waste. Especially when traveling, I can’t get my money back. Service wasn’t good, kept hearing the girl give attitude towards the customers

The chicken was undercooked and the chicken breading was soggy and undercooked. The girls here always have an attitude. The food here used to be good enough to ignore the attitude but yikes. There goes my dinner. 🤢
