This place is cute and quiet and service was great. Our server, Angelica, was very nice and funny. She was knowledgeable about wines and provided us with a great experience. The food was very tasty and fresh. Everything was served fast, hot and to perfection. I would recommend this place over and over again. Parking was easy also due to them being in a plaza.

Went for the New Year's Eve dinner with the prix fixe menu to celebrate my birthday. It's thr 2nd year I've gone and I think we will make it a yearly tradition. Incredible food and drinks. Love that you still get options with the menu and everything was delicious. I've been for lunch, dinner, and wine dinners and I've always left extremely pleased with my experience.

Exceptional food, atmosphere and service. Routinely delicious specials with authentic recipes. Brilliant wine selection and something available for everyone. Not to mention the staff are genuinely kind and energetic. 10/10 all the time

They hosted our company Christmas party and it was a great experience! Guy was so helpful in the planning, and our waiters, Jeff and Gaylon, were very good. All the food was amazing and the honey glazed pork chop was one of the best bites I’ve had all year! Kudos to you, and thank you from everyone at The Marketing Squad!

My wife & I recently utilized a gift certificate for a recent lunch. It was our 1st time back in 15 years. Brassiere is one of the top 5 restaurants in the St Matthews/Middletown area. Exceptional food, Ambience & service are provided by this French restaurant. Prices are comparable to similar fine dining restaurants. We are scheduled to return on 8/19 and take advantage of their weekly dinner special

Delicious! For appetizers, we had escargot, French onion and the soup of the day special, which was a tomato based gazpacho. They were all absolutely amazing, especially the gazpacho. Lamb chops and mussels were cooked to perfection and creme brûlée was good too. Atmosphere is cozy and comfortable. Service was professional and quick.

So happy we came here to try their charcuterie board. We had some amazing food and drinks. Jeff, our server, was amazing and knowledgeable and made some great recommendations. Will definitely go back!

A perfect dining experience. The COVID precautions were in place and appreciated. The staff provided excellent customer service and make it seem effortless. The Upscale setting was comfortable and provided an ambiance that made our evening feel special. And then there was the food. It was everything you would want for fine dining. I had the pork chop, French onion soup, and raspberry cheesecake. All of it delicious and worthy a separate review. Thank you Brasserie Provence for living up to your stroller reviews. You've earned the praise. Already looking forward to my next visit.

Loved it! Everyone was super friendly. The salmon was modified a bit to accommodate my lactose intolerance, but everything tasted amazing. Incredible seasoning accompanied by a great bodied wine. Dessert was truly mesmerizing, I would have ordered another if I wasn't full already. Thank you!

This time we went for our 6th anniversary. They were so good to us. Made sure to say Happy Anniversary when we checked in, when the water was placed on the table, and when the server came to our table. The server was also very helpful as she helped me know what all of the food was before I ordered. We ordered the Chateaubriand for two with the Brussel sprouts and duck fat pommes frites. When they brought out our food for us they divided it in front of us. It was kind of fun watching him put it all together. All of it was delicious. Really good food. Part of the anniversary special was an amazing chocolate cake. They had a candle in it and a Happy Anniversary Chocolate. And I'm a creme Brule fan and it was delectable. They are having some special events for Derby and Mother's Day. 1st visit: Loved the steak and the deserts were so satisfying.

This place is a hidden gem. The food was excellent, atmosphere was cozy, great wine and the staff were awesome!!! The calamari and also mushroom appetizers were very good. I got the rainbow trout and it was excellent. Prices were also reasonable. Worth stopping in if you’re in the neighborhood.

DELICIOUS!!! AMAZING !!! DELIGHTFUL!!!! This restaurant is a hidden gem in Louisville! Best duck I've ever had! And the 12oz Filet was so so tender! We had the cheesecake and macarons for desert. So delicious!! A must try!

Recommended French restaurant. The owner is amazing and knows how to take care of his patrons. Food is delicious. The service is awesome. The live band is a plus if there are there when you come and dine there next.

Loved this restaurant experience and especially the atmosphere inside. We visited on Monday, which is perfect as most bottles of wine are half priced! Be sure to ask your server which bottles are included on this special before ordering. French Onion soup was excellent and my favorite part. Excellent place for a date night or special occasion.

I have been dining at Brasserie Provence since 2019, 3-4 times a year. Every, single time, it's been a top tier experience. Even the few times I've brought my 9yo, they have been so kind and made her feel she's having a grand experience. Thank you for always making me and my guests feel welcome.

Brassiere Provence is my favorite restaurant in Louisville and that’s really saying something given I’m a food critic. Every course was delicious and exquisite. The entree was an array of different flavors complimenting one another. French food is now my favorite cuisine. If you’re in this part of town then Brasserie Provence is a must try; you will certainly not be disappointed. I recommend the escargots, red ruby trout and the macarons for desert.

My second time having dinner here and it was excellent again. Had the prime pork chop (honey lavender) with ratatouille and gratin dauphinois. The pork chop may be my favorite pork chop I’ve ever had. Moist and tender, excellent flavor all the way through. We has their fromage (cheese) plate for an appetizer, with a pesto cheese, three-cream Brie, and a blue cheese with grilled bread, raspberry purée, and fig jam. I was so full from dinner I got my dessert (key lime tart) to go. Service was also excellent and the owner regularly walks the dining room to greet and check in with guests. One of our favorite places in the city.

First time dining here and we weren’t disappointed. Jeffrey our waiter seemed a little nervous but he could have been new, but he took good care of us. Guy, the owner stopped by for a quick chat and I tried to remember some of my French from high school haha We got our desserts to go, the macarons weren’t my favorite thing but the sorbet was to die for. We will definitely return sometime. C’était bon!

Good food and Great staff. Did temperature check and provide hand sanitizer upon arrival. Ate outside where there was plenty of open air seating even had a heater at the table.

Immediately upon entry your first interaction is with a seemingly authentic Frenchman. It is quite a delightful ambience perfect for a date night. There is a copious amount of bottled wine to select. The glazed porkchop is remarkable and the steak frites accompanied with the aioli was impeccable. Will definitely return.

One of the two vegan options was amazing!!! The black bean cake... The other, eh. But great atmosphere and huge selection of wine. Great for a romantic date!

I went for my anniversary with my husband. We had red snapper and steak, and everything was perfectly prepared, with a wonderful balance of flavors. The staff made it special for us with a cute and delicious little dessert for the occasion. I would highly recommend it for celebrations, or just a quiet date night.

Just returned to Louisville from a visit to northern California, Seattle, Portland and Chicago only to return to brassiere provence and have the best meal in two weeks. The duck was delicious and cooked to perfection and my wife’ lamb chops we absolutely delicious! Jeff (our waiter) shared his extensive knowledge of wines and Guy (the owner) was gracious enough to clip some fresh lavender from the restaurants garden. We are so looking forward to returning soon.😊

I love this place. Great food and we always have more than enough to take some home. I had their vegetable soup as a special on my first visit and it was the best soup I've had in my life. Prices are very reasonable

Went on a Wednesday night with my husband and 10 year old. This was our first time going to a French restaurant. We enjoyed all of our food. We had a salmon dish, duck and clams. Also had the crème brûlée. We were all full and satisfied. All of the staff was so friendly. Our server was hard to hear/understand and he didn’t seem very knowledgeable. However, the hostess and another manager floated around checking on everyone and they were helpful. I had called ahead to make sure this was a kid friendly environment. While this isn’t super high end fine dining, it’s also not Applebees. This is a nice restaurant. Don’t bring your kids if they’re going to be bickering or can’t sit still. Not the place to give them a tablet or phone to keep them entertained.

Had the prix fixed menu for Valentines Day, it was excellent. Love the potato gratin. So delicious. My filet was a perfect medium rare. I have been a patrol here for years. They never disappoint me!!!

Upscale French bistro. Muscles, duck, and steak frites were all excellent. Didn’t see caviar on the menu, but I could be wrong. Overall, this is the best restaurant I’ve been to in Louisville. Highly recommend.

Absolutely wonderful! We wanted a nice dinner somewhere we haven't been yet for our anniversary and I have never been more pleased or impressed with a choice of restaurant. The staff were so friendly and attentive. The man that I assume was either the manager or owner was very hospitable and involved. He greeted us on our way in, checked on us during our meal, and even saw us out at the end of the night. The atmosphere was very nice, quiet, and intimate. The food was so, so delicious! The Tomato & Goat Cheese Tart that we started with was the perfect balance. The texture, flavor, everything was perfect. He doesn't normally enjoy tomatoes very much, but took one for the team and loved it! He got the Magret de Canard and really enjoyed it. I tried a bite of the risotto and it was great. The wine sauce was very nice. I got the Prime Pork Chop. It was glazed in lavender honey and I was so glad that I had ordered it. I was unsure about the ratatouille because I had never had it before, but I absolutely loved every bite. Of course, the potatoes au gratin were delicious. We ordered the Tropézienne and were surprised with a chocolate cake as well. The desserts, along with everything else we ordered, were gorgeous and plated beautifully. I'm honestly not sure which one was more delicious! All in all, the staff-wait staff and the amazing cooks working behind the scene- really made our night truly special! I highly recommend adding this to your list. It won't disappoint.

Food perfectly prepared and seasoned a many curated of French favorites offering a unique dining experience this restaurant is a local gem and everyone should stop by to experience. The wait staff was accommodating, polite, offered great suggestions kept waters filled everything just top notch. Awesome craft cocktails, great wine list for all budgets with focus on French wine. I cannot wait to dine here again and I will be bringing more friends and encouraging everyone to try this place out! Amazing! P.S. Try the pork chop you won't be dissapointed

I want to thank Guy for giving us a great early Valentine's dinner. He found a table for us at the last minute and even got us out quickly to catch a show. They were very busy, but he still found time to make us feel special. The food and drinks were great as always!

Superb dining every time. The atmosphere at Brasserie Provence is warm and inviting, and the staff are consistently excellent—attentive without being intrusive. I’ve been here multiple times and have never had a disappointing experience. The mushroom appetizer deserves special mention; it’s easily the best mushroom dish I’ve ever had and something I genuinely look forward to each visit.

Splendid! 5 stars all around! Our first time trying Brassiere Provonce & I am so sad we hadn’t tried it sooner! This has been a frequent local haunt for my parents every Friday & they invited us out to dinner this past Saturday! The charcuterie, soups, cassoulet , lamb chop , steak frites & desserts are some of the best we have had in the city! Thank you to the incredible staff, bar tender Galen & the owner for making the experience even more wonderful! Cheers! We will be back soon!

I don’t think you could have a nicer meal out with family in the East End. We loved the burger, mussels, Provençale tomato, salmon, and (best of all) Gratin Dauphinois potato. Jeff was awesome as a server.

Brasserie Provence is my favorite! If you appreciate the high quality, well curated and well crafted French Provincial cuisine, you’ll love Brasserie Provence. It is unique amongst Louisville restaurants and a local treasure. Amazing wines, cheese, onion soup and other traditional French cuisine, as well as a wonderful variety of dishes for any palate.

You know it’s hard for me to give 5 stars but this was honestly really really close! I sought restaurants that served “escargot” and landed here. Parenthetically, there are only 5 establishments in the city that do. When I arrived for my 12:30 reservation there were a total of 5 people in the restaurant. I waited at the hostess stand for about 5 minutes I until someone came to ask me if I had a reservation…? Like if I had sd no perhaps he was going to sorry we can’t seat you? Anyway, he sat me and I’d already studied the menu so I was ready to order. The host, the waiter and the manager (who clearly spoke French and added to the experience!) all did a great job. The facility was clean, the music was French, not too loud and set the mood. The service was fast and the presentation was visually pleasing. If you’re looking for great meal in a quaint charming atmosphere check this out!

I'm giving 5 but really mean 4.5, I think it's appropriately rated. The menu is somewhat hit or miss, but the hits are really good, and the misses are only disappointing, not bad. First, the ambiance is great, despite the strip mall exterior. Formal looking without being stuffy, so you don't feel out of place. Cute little Lego set of the place and some history. Service was attentive and warm. Our waiter was relaxed and had a dry wit I appreciated, and they repeatedly checked to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. Nothing outstanding, but definitely up to par for this kind of restaurant. Cocktails were just a bit disappointing to me, the Manhattan was was watered down, the sand de peche really got taken over by the red win, but the kir du loup was solid. Would recommend just doing wine or trying some of the French liquors. I liked the brandy and Pernod quite a bit. Charcuterie was skimpy for the price, and I was disappointed with the pate, but the toasted baguette slices, fig jam, and duck butter were 🔥, and everything else was solid. French onion soup was average. The lavender glazed pork chop is enough by itself to make me come back, they nailed that floral flavor balance perfectly, and the bonus is it comes with the best sides! Potatoes gratin were sublimely rich, and the ratatouille had a good char to it. My stuffed chicken was also really good, though, and I always love good roasted brussel sprouts. Flourless chocolate cake was a great finish, decadent with a touch of pastry cream. Overall, it's not the best French food I've ever had (Parc in Philly), but there are some great items on the menu that make it worth a visit, and it has more reasonable prices than the other French restaurants in the area

This was a disappointment. The service was very slow. I had hoped to get a couple of drinks but only ended up getting one because the service was incredibly slow. The food was disappointing. My companion got the Black Bean cake and was extremely disappointed. She typically likes everything. I got the Steak Frites and it was very bland. Ended up spending $90 which included 3 alcoholic beverages but before tip...which I didn't want to leave. Will never go back.

Nice place. Nice service. Bland, flavorless, dry food. It’s a place for old people.

Sorry for the late post. First off, I would like to say I was highly disappointed in the experience that I had at Brasserie Provence. My friend and I went during the Kentucky derby and from the get go, the waiter didn’t want to serve us and wanted us to watch the derby. Naturally, we came for the food and experience. We had to ask another waiter for bread as our waiter was watching the derby. When we got the food it was subpar at best. I got the seared sea scallops and the cherry tomatoes were difficult to get off the vine twig. My friend got the halibut and when my friend gave me a try of his it was super dry and over cooked. The meal also came with a dessert but it took very long so we asked to take it to go. When we got the check the owner “Guy” was absolutely disrespectful to us as we questioned why he added a tip to the check when there were only two other tables in the restaurant. Another table also complained and asked to get it removed. Guy questioned my friend on his cooking knowledge and told us that we were wrong. I will tell anyone who wants to give BP a try, be wary about the service and the bill.
