One of the best Italian spot in Colorado. I had the calamari and chicken parm. After tip it ran me about $45. The calamari was perfectly breaded and served with an amazing spicy marinara and the chicken parm was big enough for two. Definitely my new Italian spot moving forward. I ate so much I couldn’t eat for the rest of the day.
Parma can be a bit crowded, sometimes. It certainly was on Friday, but we were seated immediately. We enjoyed our meal with an excellent bottle of red wine (94 points on WE!), offered on special that evening for only $40! The salads were overdressed a bit, this time. Whoever applied the dressing had a lead foot, for sure. At least the dressing was not overly sweet. Lemon viniagrette. Maybe get it on the side next time. I almost always order the Spaghetti Fra Diavola. It is my favorite. See photo. The sauce is exquisite. I wish I could make this sauce at home. Mind you, it may vary, night to night. We've had some marginal experiences there… but it's usually very solid. I'm not keen on the premixed pesto goop they serve with the bread… and the bread could be warmer… but I really ought to eat less bread, anyway. A very nice dessert option, this visit. See photo.
I’ve been quite disappointed with most of the Italian restaurants I’ve visited in Colorado. Perhaps, visiting many parts of Italy and trying authentic Italian cuisine was an eternal curse. Then our friends asked us to meet them at this “Parma Trattoria & Mozzarella Bar”. I went there by keeping my hopes and expectations in-check. I thought I was walking into, yet another restaurant that claims to know good Italian cuisine. However, they pleasantly surprised me! A FIVE STAR surprise! It was a Sunday evening and this place was super busy when we walked-in. The calamari appetizer, was one of the best I’ve had in a long time. It was light and fluffy and couldn’t even tell it was a deep-fried dish. The Zefferano Risotti was executed to absolute perfection! As you may know, Risotto is a very difficult and temperamental dish, in my opinion, that many would shy away from serving in any setting. Yet they nailed it to perfection! I had the Linguini Scampi and that too was excellent! The pasta was cooked to perfect al dente. Everything in this – quite comprehensive menu – looked amazing! The service too was in perfect harmony. Our waiter was friendly, attentive and fast. I had a great experience here and I highly recommend this place. But make reservations or you might not get a table.
A packed parking lot at 5:45p (the only reservation time available) was the 1st great sign that the meal was going to be excellent. Sure enough, Parma didn't disappoint because the wine selection and squash/mozzarella appetizer were fantastic! Our server was very helpful, expedient and friendly. The only downside was the noise as Parma is an open kitchen concept and the floor concrete giving a reverb sound that eventually fade into the background. We were a party of 4 and our party finished each course. So awesome! If you are into "real" italian food and spirits, Parma should be #1 on your list!
Flavor bomb! True Italian meal, fresh made mozzarella cheese was amazing! It will not disappoint! Our whole party enjoyed the food! Great place for a date night or the family to have a wonderful meal.
My husband and I had an amazing lunch today! The service was fantastic and the food was delicious.
Great menu and amazing food. This butter pesto that comes with bread is unbelievably good and I don’t even like pesto!
Great Christmas eve lunch with excellent service from Colter. Tasty family eats. We loved the lasagna and pizza. Great leftovers for dinner also.
One of my favorite Italian in CO. We went for my birthday and as usual it was fabulous! I tried the buccatini with scallops this time and that is now my favorite!! And of course we had to top off dinner with my favorite Tiramisu. I absolutely LOVE their calamari appetizer. They ran out of the arancini which I was SUPER bummed about but I'll just have to take note to go early next time.
Its hard to satisfy European (French, and Polish) tastes being an Italian restaurant in US, not an easy job! We have tried number of dishes, most of the pastas and some of the appetizers, the food was good but a bit too heavy for our European stomachs (deep fried, lots of fat, big sized portions), which may totally be a European thing. But it was tasty and staff was really helpful when we were figuring out our order. Definitely a place worth to be checked out!
Went here with a couple from my work. I heard from a local this is a good Italian place, so we tried it out. Very authentic. A family run owned business. The pastas, the sauces, the breads. Everything was absolutely delicious. I can tell. I've eaten tons of Italian in my life. Excellent service. People were great, very helpful with guiding us through the menu, the service was on top of everything in terms of wine selection, refilling our waters etc. Plenty of parking. It's a shopping center environment.
Staying at the hotel behind the restaurant this was definitely the place to get a filling meal. The bread and pesto sauce was absolutely delicious and the Chicken Parm was very good. They don’t over bread the chicken which is great. Make sure you mention you want Mariana sauce as it comes with Alfredo sauce by default…topped it with a absolute and coke and I’m stuffed and can’t eat no more…thank you for the delicious meal..
Great dinner. My wife and I really enjoyed our meal.
Had a wonderful dinner here with the family! The service was excellent and food was outstanding! My husband and daughter, who are VERY picky when it comes to Italian cuisine, loved it! I, of course, had to try the tiramisu, which absolutely did not disappoint! We will absolutely be back!
I like the crispy bread, calamari, and Romana Italian wedding dance as appetizers. The bread seems very popular. We had to wait for it coming out of the oven. I ordered salmon as my entree. It’s normal. Overall the decoration is classic. The waitresses are also kind enough.
This place is a hit or miss with their cuisine. Thanks to my server, Lizzy my dining experience was salvaged. Not only is she attentive & polite, she is knowledgeable in the dishes & wines they have on their menu. I came here for my dinner/late lunch. I ordered the Zucca Ravioli at Lizzy's recommendation & it was absolutely delicious. The butter sage sauce was sweet with a zing of balsamic that balanced out the flavor. The sauce however, was a bit runny & drowned my raviolis. I also ordered the Calabrese Pizza & should have ordered the Salciccia Funghi Pizza instead. I was looking forward to a nice spicy treat & got a tasteless greasy pizza. I should have known better that not all sausages heat/cook up & keep their zesty flavors. Aside from that, the crust was good. For dessert, I ordered the Tiramisu & again lacked any sort of flavor. The lady fingers looked as if the got a quick dunk in coffee as they looked dry & colorless, blending in with the mascarpone. All I tasted was the mascarpone cheese & waxy flakes of what was supposed to be chocolate shavings. Lizzy immediately saw my discontentment & apologized for any misgivings. She had suggested the Grand Marnier Creme Brulee for dessert earlier & again I should have taken her word. In replacement of the Tiramisu, she brought me the Creme Brulee & my mouth was HAPPY, making me do the Happy Dance in my seat as I delved in this scrumptious cold creamy treat that had a hint of orange from the Grand Marnier & the perfect crunch from the melted sugar on top. To wash all this down, I asked Lizzy to surprise me with a red Italian wine & she brought me the Castello Di Querceto Chianti which was a nice medium bodied surprise with just the right hint of woodiness I love from the wooden barrels. Over all, my lunch here was refreshing & pleasant thanks to my Wonderful Server, Lizzy. I would have given three stars for the food, however, Lizzy was the redeeming aspect for the four stars. It's amazing how the way one is treated can completely turn a lemon into lemonade.
Parma has been our go-to Italian restaurant for years. Last time we were there, Spaghetti Fra Diavola was a little bland for my taste, so it was a bit disappointing. Overall they always have excellent dishes with friendly staff, so we’ll definitely be back again!
Bustling little place. Basic tables and chairs, Open bussing and service areas. Wait staff was very efficient. Brusque, but not rude. Very helpful with suggestions, and willing to bring us our extra requests. The focaccia with pesto dipping sauce was a nice treat. Fresh and soft. We had the Shrimp scampi and gluten free cheese ravioli. Both excellent dishes. Dessert was tiramisu (excellent) and Nutella crepes (very good). We are already making plans to come back!
We recently held our son's and our new daughter-in-law's rehearsal dinner at Parma Trattoria & Mozzarella Bar and every detail was perfect! Emilio and Mike provided helpful guidance every step along the way and ensured that our event went smoothly. We had a large party (44 people) and they recommended that we hold our event in the heated patio area for more privacy which was a great call. Our amazing servers Julie and Ilona are top notch and didn’t miss a beat. From helping us set up/decorate the tables to taking our orders to promptly serving/clearing dishes after each course to ensuring that no one waited for beverages, their service was flawless! And the food! Everyone raved about how delicious each dish was. I forgot to take photos of all my dishes but included a few to show how beautiful/tasty they look/are! It's hard to pick a favorite dish since we ordered just about everything on the menu and it was all delicious! Great cocktails and wine list too! A special callout to our new in-laws (the Francas and the Englishs of Thornton) for recommending Parma! We highly recommend Parma Trattoria & Mozzarella Bar and their talented/customer focused team for their delicious food, inviting atmosphere, and outstanding service!
All the staff were very friendly and accommodating. We walked in with no reservation and got a table with no wait. We got the charcuterie board with three meats and three cheeses. For $18, you get so much food! The drinks were delicious, and the food came out so fast. I will be going back very soon
They always provide such a cozy, great atmosphere, for any occasion. We had their Pappardelle Bolognese and Pappardelle Porcini (Gluten free), and they had so many gluten free options. A decent wine and drink selection, and our server Amir was excellent, even though they were very busy.
The lobster ravioli is so delicious and the best espresso martini I’ve ever had. I love the vibe here, it’s cozy and vibrant at the same time. I’ve never had a bad experience or a meal I didn’t like here. 10/10
Held a group dinner of over 20 people to celebrate a special event on Parma’s covered patio, and had such an enjoyable experience. Manger Emilio and staff were very accessible and accommodating during planing; great communication & follow-through. Service was exceptional, particularly server Sydney was on top of things, so friendly, respectful, and helpful- she really made everything go smoothly with a big group and many separate checks. HIGHLY RECOMMEND Parma Trattoria for a special meal or group event. And try to ask for Sydney!
Emilio and his staff are incredible to work with. They hosted our company holiday lunch for over 170 people (across two seatings), and everything was seamless—organized, welcoming, and handled with true professionalism. The team is friendly, the service is excellent, and the food is absolutely amazing. I highly recommend PARMA!
Good food. Waiter very helpful with questions about dishes. We had reservations & went early. Later there was a line of people waiting for a table. Got very crowded so seems to be very popular.
Lady who served us was incredibly nice and helpful, in answering all questions and serving us. Went there on my 20th birthday. Got a free desert. food was very very good. its pricey, but well well worth it.
The food was amazing, and our server was very accommodating, respectful, and very attentive to our large party. The restaurant was very nice, and the food was amazing. Once you see the service, everything wins. People leave negative reviews complaining about money — you should just stay home and eat. If you’re going to grab to-go food, then just come and dine. I don’t know why people have to be negative all the time with reviews. I recommend this place , it’s amazing. Be ready to spend money! It is a restaurant, nothing is free. Anyways, thanks for having us Parma! We had an amazing visit. See you soon :)
Parma is one of our favorite go-to restaurants. Food and service is always very good. One little area of improvement could be made to the Tiramisu - we found it to be extremely sweet with way too much chocolate syrup, which in our experience, is not traditional for this dessert. We normally order this dessert at restaurants because it is not overly sweet, so this was the exception. Otherwise, everything else was great, and service is always exceptional!
I've been going here since they opened years ago, and recently moved to Colorado springs. Well I took my Fiancee here for our 1 year anniversary and it did not disappoint after not having been in 3 or 4 years. Fresh pasta was incredible, and flavors were on point. Reasonable pricing on food and drinks with large portions and complex flavors. tiramisu is made in house and delectable, even if they'd be better off with a dark chocolate drizzle rather than the milk chocolate that doesn't lend itself to the quality of the dish.
The food is absolutely amazing hands down best around. I will come back because of that. The service however was some of the worst ever. I made a reservation at 6:15 and specifically asked to be inside and not in the outside. That didn't happen. I asked the waiter and he just said it was not his choice. The waiter never came around and apologized that there was a big table. In fact, a very nice lady came by and asked if we needed a refill. We never got that refill. However, when the waiter came back he did finally refill it. We ordered dessert to go and it came out in plates. I asked for boxes because we ordered to go. Like I said best food ever and it was a Saturday night so I could be in the minority. I will be back for the food but not the service
I've been coming here with my family for several years. We have always had great service, even when it's busy. Had several different dished and enjoyed them all. Great reataurant, but either go early or make a reservation as it's typically busy.
We had the brasato di manzo and the linguine alla boscaiola. Tasted like I was back in Italy eating Nonna's rissoto. The portions are massive for the price. I loved having this for lunch the next day. The service was excellent. The deserts were so yummy too
Great appetizers and dessert! Service was spot on! The menu has plenty of traditional and creative Italian dishes. The zucca ravioli was a bit too sweet for me but I'd still recommend it.
Great atmosphere. The food was pretty good, too. We had Calamari, which was cooked perfectly. A Brussel sprout dish, which was a bit overcooked. Everything else was also prepared. Perfectly, service was good, considering one server was taking care of a bunch of tables. All in all perfect spot for a celebration or dinner party.
Another solid dinner at parma last night! It was crazy busy as usual so the service was slow and sporadic, though our sever was very nice when we did see her. We got a variety of pasta dishes, I had the angel hair pasta with meatballs and Alfredo sauce. The angel hair was more like thin spaghetti but it was tasty. Pro tip, if you get a dish like shrimp scampi or linguine and clams, ask for extra bread when yoi order because you'll need it to soak up the juice!
I arrived in a bad mood for lunch but was cheered by the time I left. I would have given 5 stars but I've had better Italian wedding soup and the staff had a short impromptu meeting next to my table. Overall the food was good though and the portions huge. I would have appreciated smaller, less expensive lunch portions, but this place was busy so there doesn't seem to be a need. Pretty upscale place with quite a few senior citizens. I asked for and received quite a bit of special requests. Nice.
Best Italian in Colorado! The lightly fried and crispy calamari was delicious. The rabé salad and the parppadelle pasta had great flavor. The noodles were just over cooked but still delicious. The service was excellent!
Very good local Italian restaurant. The daily specials are both creative and encompassing of those with meat free vegetarian diets. The atmosphere is ok, not bad not amazing. The food is very good, and obviously freshly made. Probably the best and most authentic in the area, but nothing Id tell you to drive out of your way and nake a specific trip for. The staff is delightful. Overall a very good experience.
Taste: very good Price/Value: $$$/++ Service: very attentive, but check took too long Ambience: relaxing, but classy Food choice: excellent Italian dishes Allergy options: low, but acceptable Comments: Could use more upscale seating for the price. Caesar salad was excellent. Pizza was a large portion and on par with a true Italian taste. Coccoli was good but too salty. Water was very good.
Great but could be better For the Parma pizza, put the arugula on top so it doesn’t wilt, and cut the pizza after the toppings. Why stretch out prosciutto over multiple slices and make a giant mess. Seems obvious but I guess not. That’s my only objective fix, the rest is personal opinion so I won’t comment. This place is fantastic just needs some attention to detail to be perfect.
I returned on 2025-12-22 after 9 months, and I'm pleased to say that the food and service have both improved greatly. I have much to say. FOOD The chicken alfredo this time was salted a proper amount, there also seemed to be a higher chicken:pasta ratio. Good amount of alfredo as well. My only qualm is that there were multiple pieces of chicken that contained tendons, fat, or dark meat, which I dislike, but that's pretty minor, it could be the supplier's fault as well. The tiramisu was also great. It lacked the proper amount of espresso, but not only did they give me a shot to pour over it, apparently the head chef will be modifying the recipe soon. My only other complaint is that the chocolate sauce over it is nice for presentation but takes away from the tiramisu itself, which is very good and the perfect amount of sweet. SERVICE Our waiter was very attentive and pleasant, and didn’t act like robot. Absolutely no complaints there. I had also emailed Emilio after the last response where he offered a gift card, and it's very clear he cares about the restaurant. That alone speaks volumes for real. ATMOSPHERE The restaurant is very clean and has great decor. The tables are spaced properly and the lighting is nice. Dim and warm color temperature for sure, but not to the extent that it is annoying. The only thing keeping the atmosphere from 5 stars are the bathrooms, while relatively clean and functional, if you sent me a picture of the bathroom and didn't tell me what restaurant it's in, I'd assume it would be one in a restaurant no greater than 75% of the price of this one. When capital allows, a remodel would be excellent. NOTES I'm intentionally very critical in this review because Parma is one of the best Italian restaurants in Colorado easily, and I want it to be the absolute best it can be. I didn’t take any gift card, as it could have added unnecessary bias to the review!
Went on Valentine's Day so it was pretty slammed, but staff was friendly and efficient. Key lime martini was delicious, as was the chef's board (was a lot of food for 2 people as an appetizer). Entrees were also very good, had a mushroom ravioli and a mushroom pasta. Overall good experience, will definitely be back.
Came here for a family meal and were seated in a corner. Asked what the mozzerella bar was and were told it wasn't a buffet; we didn't ask if it was. Only 3 pieces of bread were brought to the table for the 5 of us after we ordered food. The meals came out quickly and, though their presentations were nice, their flavor tasted canned and there was way to much sauce on the lasagna and gnocchi. One of our kids had some drinks from his brother's soda and the waitress made a remark that she should charge us for another soda. For a meal for 5 that wasn't that impressive and service that was poor in retrospect, $135 was much more than we should spent there!
We found Parma in 2019 and went often. The food was fresh and authentic. They change things over the last year and it is very noticable. It seems they use jar garlic or a poor quality one and heavily. They have also increased the cream in all the dishes taking away from the harmony of classic Italian flavors. Tonight my carbonara was very very salty and oily. Also the pesto is ewwww. Sad sad days. This was out go to for Italian. Please bring back the old ways of cooking.
Our server was very nice, no complaints there. The food however was very disappointing. Linguine putanesca was overloaded with garlic, funghi ravioli also overloaded with gorgonzola. We could barely eat either as they were too pungent. I was still tasting the garlic in my mouth the next morning. I grew up in Provence and visited Italy many times, this is not what Italian cuisine should taste like. We were also rushed, main dishes arrived maybe 3 minutes after our bruschetta appetizer, that is not okay. We've eaten there before and the food was always delicious, but not sure we'll be coming back after this experience.
This was our first time eating here and from entering the restaurant to leaving, overall it was a disappointing experience. Reviews for this restaurant raved about its service and food that harked of genuine Italian food. I made a reservation for Valentines weekend, expecting something special. But when we walked in, there was no greeting. In addition, when I made the reservation, I indicated that this would be our first time to the restaurant and yet on top of the cold lackluster greeting they seated us in the tent area with a crowded birthday party. To their credit, once I said something they moved us, but honestly, it should never have happened. Again, the fact that they never greeted us and acknowledged the fact that we had a reservation was not a very warm welcoming I would expect more from a restaurant with these prices and these reviews. The bread that they brought out was semi warm, very small and lacked taste. It was served with some sort of oily buttery pesto sauce that lacked flavor and look more like mashed pea baby food. My wife ordered a Keylime martini, but it tasted more like a licorice Lacore with a hint of lime. The calamari we ordered came out almost instantly after ordering, and after tasting it, I can see why, it was undercooked. And the so-called spicy marinara sauce with it was not spicy and they only gave us just a thimbleful. My wife ordered as her main course shrimp linguine. I would say it lacked flavor as well. It was like there was no sauce, only something that resembled chicken broth. My ravioli was a special, and the inside filling and sauce were flavorful, but the ravioli itself was undercooked and very chewy and tough around the edges. While, I appreciated the fast service, the food came out too fast and made me think after tasting it that it was not properly prepared. Almost as if their way of handling a busy Valentine weekend was to get people in and out as fast as possible with food that cut corners. Honestly, it’s pretty bad when you’re thinking Olive Garden would’ve been better. We ordered tiramisu because we heard it was very good and received high remarks as well, but its flavors were not balanced with the coffee flavoring overpowering the dessert. To make matters worse, the soda I ordered with it was flat. Overall, we were very disappointed with our experience and the food here. The most charming part of our experience was our server who was an older gentleman from Italy who explained the history of tiramisu. We honestly wanted to like this restaurant, other than the nice environment and our charming server, that’s about the only thing pleasant I can say about our time here.
Update- Emilio, I appreciate your engagement and your willingness to respond personally. It is evident that you care deeply about Parma and its reputation. Still, it is important to clarify the role of a review: it exists to document a guest’s experience for future diners, not to establish a private dialogue. While you note that apologies were made and that you were aware of the situation, the guest experience remained unchanged at the table. No corrective action was taken that allowed us to feel welcomed enough to stay, and that is the measure by which the evening is remembered. Your follow-up, though earnest, risks appearing defensive rather than guest-focused. Reviews are not obligations for further correspondence; they are records of what transpired. The responsibility to deliver consistency rests with the establishment. Parma presents a lovely setting, and I encourage you to match that aesthetic with seamless, attentive hospitality. Addressing lapses in training and response will ensure future guests experience the restaurant as you clearly intend it to be known. That said, I do recognize the effort you have shown in replying, and I would be open to trying Parma again when I return to the area in the coming weeks—hopeful to encounter it at its best. I will email or give you a call at that time. Thank you for your time. --------- This was the worst experience I have ever gotten. We got seated in a corner table. Then the lady who came up to us did not introduce herself. She hurriedly poured water and it spilled everywhere. Then she didn’t come back for 15 min to ask us what we wanted to drink outside of water. Then 20 min later she still hadn’t come back to even get our order. We were so uncomfortable we decided to leave without ordering anything additional. Such a shame for a pretty restaurant. Not sure if it’s because we were dressed more casual than the table next to us or what. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.
Three of us had an early Christmas Eve Dinner. We wondered about the great reviews of the food. It begun with seating in a half full restaurant by placing us next to a full noisy table despite our voiced concern about the location. Two us had veal dishes. The veal was touch and chewy.. Sauces lacked any character. Mashed potatoes were on each of the plates and we wondered who forgot any seasoning on those or the spinach on one plate and asparagus on the other. Not just a little, but none. We had one appetizer and two mixed drinks along with three entrees. Our check was $145 for food that on the whole was beyond disappointing. This reviewer has experience dining in Rome, London and New York at hardcore Italian restaurants. Not a gourmet, just know when the food is a waste of money. I hope the Chef was taking the day off.
I’m not sure why this place even has a booking system. I made a reservation 3–4 weeks in advance for Valentine’s Day dinner and received two separate confirmation texts. Despite that, when we arrived, there were at least 30 people waiting to be seated. The line stretched out the door and into the 40-degree weather. I obviously wasn't going to make my partner wait outside in the cold just to maybe get a table. When we finally spoke to the host/manager, we were told they were still "clearing tables." If you can't manage your floor timing, don't take the booking. We ended up leaving and grabbing a burger down the street—which, frankly, was more fulfilling than waiting another hour for a table that clearly didn't exist. The bottom line: Don't rely on this place if you actually have a schedule to keep. A reservation here is just a suggestion, and a poorly regarded one at that. This was my second time here; I was trying to give them the benefit of the doubt after a friend suggested I try them again. Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me!
Visited Monday, Feb 16, and the experience was a big decline from before. The service was poor no greeting, no smile, no introduction and it took about 45 minutes to even take our order, despite the place not being busy. Drinks were never refilled. Prices have gone up while portion sizes have gone down (even the cups are smaller). This used to be our go to date night spot, so it’s disappointing to see such a drop in service, quality, and overall upkeep. I came back to edit this review after reading other reviews and saw that another customer (Mike) had the same experience. Our server was a blonde female who also did not introduce herself. After reading the manager’s response to Mike, the argumentative explains a lot. Management’s attitude reflects why this place is going downhill
