Overall really enjoyed the experience here. I will say my penne Di mare dish might have been a little better without the sun dried tomatoes. The quality of food seems to be high overall in any event so we are curious to try a few of their other menu items on future visits or take out orders.
Don't let the strip mall location fool you; this is a top-notch Italian culinary experience. Cozy atmosphere with impeccable service. Authentic Italian cuisine with correct spellings on the menu - a rarity in the US! Excellent wine list with many hidden gems.
Such a very pleasant surprise to find such an exquisite Italian Restaurant hiden in a stripmall in Louisville CO! I heard some recomendations from friends that suggested we visit this hidden gem. I was so happy that I did. we chose to sit at the bar becuase the dining room felt busy, besides I always find that you get bettter service. we were not disapointed. Our Barteneder Trace was attentive and handsome! My girl and I loved the rare Tequila's and Whiskeys, I even enjoyed the Italian Lager. The food including the bread was the best Italian fare Ive had in Colorado!
Good place to try it out if you have a GroupOn coupon. I won't give the original price for dinner as it's just way expensive for the food. But the taste is really awesome and definitely worth if you go with the Groupon
You would not expect this in a strip mall. Wonderful atmosphere! Fabulous food and service! I tried the roasted beets on arugula with herbal goat cheese cake, toasted pistachio and white balsamic agrodolce. Flavor combinations were amazing! Also had lasagne bolognese. Delicious!! I want to try everything on the menu!
Great gluten free pasta, calamari was GF and GF bread. Risotto and vodka sauce dishes were 🔥! Highly recommend. Also, atmosphere is violin music and way better than What I expected from previous reviews.
Amazing food and experience. Ellie was one of our best servers anywhere. Great Chianti.
well done food and service, waitstaff that understands a “perfect “ Manhattan, and Shawn the sommelier really knows his stuff, and helped us select a wonderful wine for our dinner.
We got here a little later than intended, but our waiter J.T. was phenomenal. He me an amazing recommendation that resulted in me ordering one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had. Fantastic food and service, cannot recommend highly enough.
Ellie was very engaging and attentive to our needs. Food ,service, atmosphere 5 stars. Establishment clean recommend this location.
I rate many places, with many of them being Italian I like to think that I understand what good Italian tastes like. I believe this place is a great experience with nicely seasoned food. So overall an amazing time.
Absolutely awesome! I started going here in 2006 and it's consistently delicious! One of my favorite, hidden gems. ❣️
Food was fantastic and so was the service. Definitely would recommend for a date night.
Fine dining at it’s best! Chicken scallopini perfectly cooked and layered. Excellent wine selection. The service is excellent too. A quiet luxury atmosphere.
Excellent!! Food and service (by Kaia). If you haven’t been here you are misting out! Good price, great drink list … beer and wine at all price ranges. Looks like a plain old nothing restaurant front until you step inside!! True hidden gem. Penne scallop, shrimp vodka sauce was incredible, their bread with dinner is unreal (don’t miss the olive oil on the table) lasagna was also excellent! Had the mushroom appetizer- best ever. (Think I sound like they paid me to say this but they didn’t! It’s that good!)
This is another one of those great unknown places. My wife and I first went here in 2000 shortly after it started. We were pleased with the food and service. Throughout the years we keep stopping in whenever we are in the area and have yet to be disappointed! The food is amazing and the service is always great!!
Very nice family owned homegrown Italian restaurant. The atmosphere is very “Old School” warm and welcoming. We dined with friends and everyone the really enjoyed our meal.
10/10! I’m an Italian from New York and this place felt like home. Our waitress was so nice and the food was delicious. We will be making this our new place! Prices are amazing too.
Had our anniversary dinner there last night. It was great! The focaccia was some of the best we’ve ever had and all the staff were really nice and attentive but not in your business. Just perfect for a romantic night. Love the atmosphere, too! Just super sad we left our pesto linguine leftovers because it was delicious!
We had a family gathering and the service was excellent and the food delicious! They did an excellent job serving so many of us!
I love this place, good food, reasonable price, friendly staff. My waiter asked to replaced the appetizer for me and my boyfriend since the sprouts were so bitter for us. Sorry we didn't remember his name but a very nice gentleman. We winged by this place with a coupon of 4-course for 2, they treated us well without distinguishing within or without coupon. We had a great time to celebrate our special day 8/8/18. Definitely gonna come back someday.
We’ve enjoyed eating at Via Toscana for special occasions, so we knew it would be a great choice for my husband’s family reunion formal dinner. Working with Sean was a breeze, reserving a private room for our event. He helped create a menu that pleased everyone and stayed within our budget, happily accommodating those with dietary restrictions. Everyone raved about the food and the service that evening. Thanks to everyone who helped make our reunion so special!
Every detail of the interior is very nice and brings a great ambiance. The food itself is so good! I got the PAPPARDELLE BOLOGNESE - pork and beef tip braised in traditional ragu, hand cut fresh pasta, sauteed spinach, pecorino romano. The focaccia bread was also soooo good! Matthew was my server and he did an excellent job checking on me and making sure I was good. The vibes. I thoroughly enjoyed everything from the lighting of the restaurant to the wine. Really had a good time eating here by myself. Would love to try more menu items and I will be back! I’m sure the dessert is incredible as well but I was way too full for it. All the items on the dessert menu sounded really good though! This is some of the best Italian food I’ve had around the area and most likely the best in Louisville/Superior. I greatly look forward to my next visit to Via Toscana! Compliments to the Chef and all staff!
Excellent dinner! The service and atmosphere were fantastic and it was surprisingly quiet considering the amount of people and size of the restaurant. The calamari was light and well seasoned, and a great portion for the price! The eggplant parmesan could have used a tad more marinara but was a great meal. And the special tagliatelle chinghiale had wonderful flavor. Overall, delicious meal and had the best prices I’ve seen for an Italian dinner in the area.
A hidden gem! Very delicious Italian food tuck in a commercial plaza. Once you enter the restaurant you'll forget you are in in that commercial plaza. The calamari was good, the cioppino was delicious ( I haven't have one with pasta, but this one had angel hair pasta in it and it was delicious), the bacon wrapped rabbit was okay as it was a little dry, the desserts were also good. Overall, a great Italian place!
We came here to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary. We absolutely loved it! The food was so fresh and exquisitely made and the staff was so professional and friendly. The atmosphere is also very romantic. You wouldnt guess how beautiful it is on the inside but dont let the strip mall location detwr you! It is the gem of the entire location! I felt like we were dining in a romantic wine cellar. 🍷 We will definitely be back!
My husband and I went to Via Toscana to celebrate his birthday. The restaurant is very nice, romantic and has the Italian feeling. Our server was very nice and polite gentleman. The food- well we forgot to take a picture of the appetizer just because it was so good. Then I remembered to take some of the main course. We had Italian wine which was another good choice. Overall we had a great experience and would highly recommend it. We are definitely going back soon.
The food was absolutely amazing. Definitely a 10/10 place. My husband and I went because of the Groupon deal where two people get 4 course meals for 55 dollars. We both tried some of the unusual food items and we weren't disappointed. In our opinion, the beat gnocchi was absolutely incredible. I totally recommend this place and the Groupon day
Our server, Emma, was on top of it. She kept our drinks filled, made sure we got exactly what we ordered, and was kind. She also packed up our leftovers for us. The food was delectable and the atmosphere is unbeatable for the price. An amazing experience overall. Pictured are the appetizers we ordered.
Came here with a groupon- $55 for a two person- 4 course meal. Absolutely hell of a deal! This is truly an upscale restaurant when it comes to quality of food, service, and decor. I was thoroughly impressed by the quality of food as each course was served to our table. I will definitely be coming back
Crazy delicious food. Swanky atmosphere. Excellent wine. This is a total winner of a date night. I had the shrimp and scallop pasta in vodka sauce, and it was some of the best food I've had in a long time. The portions were just right (or perhaps a little big, which is perfect). We took home a bit of dessert and probably should have not eaten all of the main course, but I couldn't stop. It's a little too pricey for me to eat there regularly, but I would totally go back for a special occasion.
The servers were courteous, friendly and respectful. The food was excellent and the pricing was very reasonable. We plan on going back in the near future.
Here for Denver restaurant week. The atmosphere service is elegant and professional. Super relaxed and courteous. The food was brilliant! The cocktails are well balanced, and the courses from first to last are well crafted and tie every ingredient masterfully. The chef and crew did amazingly well. Wish I could give more than 5 stars. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
We dined there 12/21/24 early evening. We were greeted with a smile and seated right away. Our server was personable and knowledgeable. She gave us time to order. The food was absolutely delicious. We were all very pleased. The Mushroom bisque was outstanding. All our meals were top notch. Our server, wish I could remember her name, was simply lovely. A favorite dining place for me!
We went to Via Toscana to celebrate my moms 70th birthday. I reserved a table on Open Table and mentioned that we had her birthday. When we arrived the staff had gone out of their way to make my moms birthday special. She even got a personalized menu! The wait staff was friendly and very attentive. We are very impressed and will definitely go back!
We go here for our date nights and we are always BLOWN AWAY! the service, the food, the atmosphere! Our waitress even remembered us from last time! It was so sweet. I was scraping my plate clean, the food is that good! And THE WARM BREAD with oil omg its to die for! You have to try this place! A true whole in the wall that will become a favorite.
You get a great dining experience at such a reasonable price. The ambiance (white tablecloths, mood lighting) is nice for a special occasion dinner, or just a night out, and the food is delicious. It's even quiet enough that one can easily converse!
We tried the crab cakes, the pesto salmon, and the filet plate. Everything was AMAZING- the filet entree was 100% the star. Leigha was our server and she was PHENOMENAL! She helped ring in our 10 year anniversary so well- from recommendations to checking on us, she is very polite and professional. All in all, we felt these were fair prices for the cuisine and service. We will definitely be coming back!
Best Italian in the area. Beautiful menu with great vegetarian and gluten free options. The gluten-free pasta is pretty good, though I have had it overcooked. There are a lot of choices and the kitchen is really flexible about accommodating dietary needs. The restaurant itself is beautiful - a surprising hidden gem in a little strip mall. They have great cocktails and a nice wine list.
Great dinner with friends. Accidently double booked our reservation and the host didn't beat us with a broom. Great Caesars, entrees all cooked properly with balanced flavors. Great wine and beer selection. So lucky to have them in Louisville for so long.
Wow this place was an incredible local find. The drink selections were outstanding along with the food and our server Ellie was what really made the experience. She brought over options to taste for exactly the type of wine we were looking for and was attentive, friendly, professional and kind throughout the entire service. The wine and food selections were just amazing and so was Ellie! We will absolutely be back thanks to such wonderful food and attentive service
2025 update: I unfortunately have to take away a star 😭 this has been me & my boyfriends comfort restaurant for our two years in CO, however, the last two visits have been disappointing. Our second to last visit we were served a very watery Bolognese that we were extremely disappointed with. We were hoping it was just a bad night. We went back again during Denver restaurant week & received the same watery bolognese. This time we sent it back & got the salmon picatta which was delicious. Everything else was the quality we expected, but, the bolognese was our anchor dish. The one that kept us coming back & we aren’t sure what happened to it 😭 First time in & will definitely be back. The atmosphere was very cute. We were seated & served quickly. The free bread was delicious. Our entrees were so so good. My boyfriend & I couldn’t decide which entree we liked more. & for dessert we got the gelato & were able to get three different flavors. All of them blew us away but the espresso flavor was so delicious. Our waiter even let me sample some wine before committing to a full glass. We didn’t have a single complaint!
Very nice little gem, certainly if you're willing to travel from Boulder. Food was very good and service was excellent. The ambience is cost too, not busy so you get to engage. Great for a date night! I just don't think portions should be so big...they don't do that in Italy which is my only suggestion.
Very good ambiance spot. Solid food. Plentiful wine list. Worth a visit.
Love the rustic atmosphere. Food was delicious. The cosmopolitan was perfect. The moose chocolate cake was different, wouldn't recommend but the Tiramisu like fabulous!
Context: I ordered the Eggplant Parmigiana from the "Family Meals" section, not from the standard menu. I ordered for pick-up, and did not dine in. The staff at the Front of House were markedly courteous and kind, and were wearing wonderful smiles. The wait was quite prompt, as the meal was in the oven for ~20 minutes. From the waiting area, the decor and ambience seemed quite lovely, and it looked like everyone was having a nice meal. When I got home, I was excited to open up the nicely packaged 1/3 Tray of Eggplant Parmigiana. At first glance, the eggplant seemed to be nicely cooked, with a hearty layer of melted Parmesan on top. Unfortunately, the beauty was only skin deep, underneath the lovely looking top of this pan, was nothing but pasta (image added for reference). The eggplant was almost undetectable on my palate, even when only eating the eggplant with no pasta. On closer inspection, it does not seem that much sauce was applied. The pasta, arguably the main dish, was alright. It wasn't overcooked, had a nice texture to it, but was not what I expected 80% of the dish to be. If I wanted pasta and sauce, I would have run to my local supermarket. The food was fresh and seemed like it contained quality ingredients. Given the $35 price tag, I do not think I would order this again. Perhaps it was simply an off-day, or maybe the "Family Meal" has a different composition than the standard order. Regardless, I will not be ordering their eggplant parm again. However, it seems that many have had a wonderful experience with other menu items. The restaurant certainly seems lovely.
Beautiful restaurant, with amazing service and ambiance. We had a wonderful time here, but the only thing that didn’t match the rest of our experience was the food. Nothing stood out, calamari was not very good, Caesar salad was very generic, overall wasn’t impressed with the food. But service and ambiance made us still have a good time.
This place is usually very good if you eat at the restaurant but the takeout is consistently horrible. I got gluten free bolognese and it barely had any sauce, it had huge pieces of dry meat which wasn't what I normally get with bolognese and the pasta was overcooked and mush. I also got a spinach salad and for $9 I got a bowl of spinach and literally 4 tiny mushrooms.
Kitchen doesn’t know what they’re doing with their shrimp and steak. Steak was burnt and nearly blue. And the crowd here is filled with main characters.
We came here for dinner on Valentine’s Day and were completely ignored. On the day of love no less After being seated, we were given a drink menu that was immediately taken away and never returned. Our waitress actively served the tables right next to us, checking on them, chatting, and giving out flowers, while repeatedly walking past our table without acknowledging us. I never received a flower. Yet when a nearby table left theirs behind, our waitress took that second flower from the unbussed table and gave it to the same woman she had already given a flower to moments earlier. We were never checked on l, not once. The food wasn’t good, but we had no opportunity to say anything. We saw our waitress only twice: when the food was dropped off and when the check was brought with water. Dessert options were listed, but we weren’t asked what we wanted, dessert was boxed up and handed to us without a word. No greeting, no thank you, no “have a good night.” Uncomfortable, dismissive, and unacceptable. I will not be returning.
