Great service & amazing food! We got to try the prime rib & ribeye, both of which were perfectly cooked and quickly served. The blackberry pie was warm and delicious, with a really nice crust. Came here on a busy night day before Thanksgiving, strongly recommend getting a reservation. Staff was super friendly! Don’t miss out on this place!
My partner and I had such an incredible dinner here last night that we both, without even discussing it, decided to come back again tonight. The service is truly exceptional. The gentleman who served us is the most friendly, attentive, and personable server I've ever meet. We were seated in a spot with a view of the open kitchen, where we could see the chefs preparing the various steaks and seafood. The kitchen was very clean. I can see the meat and ingredients were of pretty high quality. I ordered the New York steak, cooked medium, and the doneness was absolutely perfect. A note on the drinks: My partner had a Margarita last night, and I loved the flavor but I’m not big at alcohol. Today, I asked our server if they could make a virgin version. It arrived quickly and was exactly what I wanted. A few moments later, the server returned to check if the flavor was good for me. Overall, this was a perfect 10/10 experience across the board, from the impeccable service to the fantastic food. We will definitely be back whenever we have the chance!
Highly recommended! Delicious food and a cozy vibe. Friendly and hospitable service. I love the menu, and this will definitely be one of my favorite restaurants in Mammoth. 😍
Hidden gem in mammoth. We went as a family of four and were treated warmly and respectfully. We ordered the prime rib, ribeye, Mahi Mahi and the unique Elk Chops. All were delicious and special treats to our taste buds.
Arturo was probably the most professional waiter we have ever had. The food was amazing they sang a song for my daughter. If 10 stars were possible they would have 11
Great food and service, a special thanks to Taylor who saved our day! We walked in without reservation on 4th of July evening, and obviously they were booked. So we walked outside to Google something else when Taylor run out of the restaurant, searching for us to tell they just got a cancelation. It was so kind of him to look after us, he litteraly saved our day because our toddler was getting hungry. Stephen was our waiter and cook (!), he was fast and very professional. The food was great and at a reasonable price point. We really enjoyed this place!
I had dinner at Mogul Restaurant yesterday, and it was an excellent experience from start to finish. The food was outstanding, especially the meat, which was clearly of high quality and cooked perfectly. The service was equally impressive. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, making sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed throughout the evening. Even though we stayed late for finishing our meal, they were more than happy to let us relax without any pressure to leave. To top it off, the bill was very reasonable for the quality of both the food and service. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience, and highly recommended.
We had a great experience at Moguls. The food was great, the service was excellent. We will surely be back.

Being the ignorant traveler, I showed up at Mogul without a reservation, just 2 days before Christmas. But the host really tried his best to squeeze us in. We waited approximately an hour before being ushered to our table. Needless to say, the service and food was excellent.
We went on friday and david was our waiter he was excellent and I had fillet minyon and lobster baked potato and clam chowder is was excellent and we had artichoke dip as an appetizer and vanilla bean crème brielle for dessert and everything was excellent. We will definitely go back. We give it 10 out of 10 .
Went to this place with the family for dinner/birthday. The wait was about 30 minutes which wasn't bad. Sat down at the bar while we waited and had a summer triple Belgian ale that was really good. Shortly after we sat down at a booth and ordered the food. WOW! The food and service was amazing. Had the top flat iron steak with potatoes and vegetables. This was the most tender delicious steak I have had in a long time. The best food. My entire family had different dishes and they all said the food was absolutely exquisite. Our waiter/the staff we met was awesome! Friendly staff. Amazing food. Good environment. Definitely coming back here.
Not a fine dining experience but amazing food and fantastic service. Nice cabin feel, casual, and relaxing. Steak was great, sides were great, and all of the staff get 5 stars. Really enjoyed our night.
Great local place, went for the Prime Rib 16oz but there is plenty of good options.
Experience was so good that now 4 days after visiting I remembered how good it was that I had to go back and review. Leon our server was amazing. I got the ribeye and my wife got the elk chops on special. Scallops as an app was amazing and they had a good amount of specials on the board too. Try and make a reservation it will help for sure.
Excellent quality service and food. Everyone who worked here was in such a great mood it really added to the overall experience. I usually think food at higher elevation is more bland than at sea level, but this place BLEW the other steakhouses I’ve been to OUT OF THE WATER! The Gorgonzola butter is to die for! Thanks for the awesome experience we will be seeing you again.
The food is pretty expensive but the reason I'm leaving a 5 star review is specifically for the black berry pie served with ice cream. It is not your run of the mill frozen pie that you would probably get from most restaurants. This is some home made, out of this world berry pie of deliciousness that I am still wrapping my head around. If you have a couple weeks left to live and have a bucket list of things you want to do before that happens, don't go leaving this world with out trying this pie first. What started as a normal night out with the family turned In to a life changing experience all because of this black berry pie.
Wow!! Yep, that sums it up. Took the family for dinner here and was not disappointed. Started with artichoke spinach dip and sweet/spicy shrimp, Wife and daughter had the filet, I had the ribeye with mashed potatoes. Our server/chef Tommy was awesome!! Made sure we had everything we needed and prepared a flawless meal. Host was cordial and inviting. This place fills fast and parking is sparce, reservations recommended. We went early and got in luckily. Highly recommend and will definitely return.
Great food, service and views!
The food tasted amazing, everything came out exactly as it was ordered. Our waitress spend the time to describe not only how the food was going to be prepared, but the ingredients that went into everything. She even took the time to take our group picture, with multiple cameras! The atmosphere was perfect to have a conversation, without excessive music or noise from other customers. It was one of the nicest dining experiences I've ever had! I would strongly recommend this restaurant!
Great restaurant! The waiter also cooks the food. Great service. My wife and I both got the filet and it was cooked exactly how we asked. King crab legs were good 2 and cut I, half for easy eating. Also, kids meal steak was a great non-fatty sirloin which was perfect for my 6 year old daughter.
All around excellent dining experience. Halibut, one of the specials for the evening, was tasty and well prepared. Wedge salad met expectations. I ordered baked potato but received mashed potatoes, and was quite pleased with the mistake. The server was also the grill cook, so she took a lot of ownership in the product. I loved her ultra positive attitude..
Great prime rib and good prices on good wine. Have to call for reservations is the only down side. Leave a voicemail and they call you back.
This is a top notch restaurant. I ordered a filet mignon, a baked potato and a ceasar salad. The filet was excellent, tender and cooked exactly like i asked for it. Both the potato and the salad were some of the best i have ever had. I also had a bourbon cocktail which was excellent. My server was efficient, personable and a nice person. Thank you Mogul Restaurant!!!
Excellent. I always stop by Mogul's when I'm in town and this is one of the better establishments in Mammoth. The service is always excellent and meals great. There are not many good consistent places to dine in Mammoth, so if you're on the fence in deciding on there to go you won't be disapointed.
Amazing service from Destiny and the manager Ryan. The server was our grill chef it was perfect. If you like firmer scallops though ask, they come lightly seared i wish I asked more well done. But still amazing. Highly recommend. Still here and couldn't wait to post a great review.
The Mogul is a great steak or seafood restaurant. Waiters cook meals on the grill to your liking. Food is delicious. We were originally seated where there is a window and the draft from the grill fans pull in the cold Winter air. So we were reseated away from Windows and all was well! When I made reservations I made a point to say it was for a Birthday. The owner asked name of the person who is having the birthday. When it was dessert, we ordered dessert and not even a candle was brought! I was surprised. So, maybe bring your own!!
It had a very nice cozy cottage vibe and the workers were so nice! It was very expensive, but so are all the other places nearby. The food was great, but the well done steak had a raw center. The pesto pasta which was supposed to be mini was not mini! It is a very heavy and large portion! The bread they gave us at the beginning tasted very fresh but wasn't very warm.
My wife and I had a great meal here We did not book a table but I would advise doing so. The food was extremely tasty we opted for the elk which was a first for us and was fantastic. Zach was our server and he was very friendly and attentive.
First time to Mammoth and was driving around looking for a place to eat and came across Mogul. We were a walk in but looked like most had reservations, however we were seated right away. David was our waiter and he was outstanding! My wife had the Salmon and I had the smaller prime rib cut. Both of our meals were outstanding! and for dessert we had the Creme Brulee, Perfect! Thanks for a perfect Birthday Dinner!!
Last minute decision to have dinner here, and it came out great. David took care of us and did so with a great attitude. Steak was cooked and seasoned perfectly, pretty decent quality cut, too.
Loved the restaurant and the food very much. This place was perfect along with our server David. He is genuinely the GOAT. This guy needs a raise ASAP. I’ll definitely go back when I visit Mammoth Lakes again. W David and W Mogul.
I’ve been coming here since the 90’s and they still have the same amazing service and charm. Don’t expect a cheap meal, but do expect knowledgeable staff and a manager on site who truly cares about the establishment. Great steaks that are prepared by your server. Plenty of options for kids as well.
Great restaurant...food was delish, wait staff wonderful and we appreciated the manager on duty checking to see if our meal was perfect. Cute atmosphere...reminded us of a northwoods appeal. Prime rib perfect for me...med rare. A bit too red for my husband....but that's prime rib when you eat later at night. We loved the Mogul!!!
Very good service. The restaurant is small and intimate. Reservations are recommended.
No need to look at a menu. Order the 16 oz prime rib with your favorite red wine( they have a large list of them), & thank me later. The spinach artichoke dip appetizer is also delicious. We have been here twice now, once last Wednesday & once a year ago. The experiences have been identical, absolutely perfect! Everything, from service to decor is right on point. Your server is also the one who cooks your steak, or other meat you order. This place is a mandatory stop if you are visiting Mammoth. My stomach is still floating on cloud nine from that meal. Be sure to make a reservation, the day before if possible. They seat at 5:30, but the bar opens at 5. As we waited to be seated, we saw walk-ins being turned away around 5:40. They were simply too booked. 5 stars! 5 stars!!
Thanksgiving has always been a holiday to bring a big heartfelt, homemade spread to the table. Now that we're empty nesters and our adult children living on the other coast, we celebrate new traditions for the holiday. This year, we joined friends at their cabin near Rock Creek and opted to have someone else be responsible for our feast. As the saying goes, we chose wisely with Mogul's in Mammoth Lakes. From the beginning, making our advanced reservation and receiving a confirmation call the day before, it felt as though we were dealing with family. Once inside, we were greeted and treated as kin. Our server for the evening, Karen, deserves special recognition for giving us the royal treatment and sharing with us her spirited sense of humor. The food was generous and exceptional, from wines selected to main dish and dessert. Initially, I was hesitant to not make our own feast for the day. But Mogul's delivered amply. I was left grateful that Mogul's staff shared its labors with us in the spirit of the day.
The waiter takes care of you with kindness and delicacy, he personalized the experience and the meats are just excellent.
Took my wife here for her birthday Dinner, she loved the Lobster and I enjoyed my Flat Iron Steak. We will return!!!
We enjoyed a relaxed dinner in a cozy, winter-appropriate atmosphere. The cocktails are well prepared, the food was fantastic (we had the prime rib, which was slightly underdone, but delectable), and service was outstanding.
Incredible thanksgiving dinner at MOGUL!!! We wanted something non traditional and to say this place delivered is an understatement. The entire staff was so incredibly friendly and so attentive. We were want for nothing! Not to mention the delicious food. It was really fresh and delicious, surprisingly exquisite for a small mountain town. Our waiter / grill chef SCOTT was THE BEST and was nice and patient. The food was delicious but we will be back because of the incredible service and home like feeling and treatment we got. Happy holidays & thanks a million Scott!
The food and drinks were amazing and they treated me like a regular even though I haven't been here in years
The management greeted us at the door. Very friendly and we had a great conversation. Scott was our server. Told us the features in such a nice way, we went for almost all of his recommendations. We started out with the King Crab Legs. And went on with Prime Rib and Filet Steak. Both were cooked to perfection. We will be adding this place to our list of must returns. We can't wait. Thank you to the staff for being so friendly and making our experience one to remember. Shawna and Chris 2023
Lovely place! Service was great, including the water lady who was always on top of things and refilling our water frequently, our sharp, funny, and extremely professional server Jill, and food! The prime rib was amazing! The mushed potato was so airy and soft! It was the best mushed potato I ever had in my life! I don’t know how they did it, but I am sure there is some secret technique. Salads were huge and so yummy. I am so glad that I called someone I know who travels to Mammoth Lakes often and she recommended two places with Mogul being the first one. Otherwise, we would go elsewhere and have some average food again. Thank you, Mogul staff!
The entire staff is dedicated to providing a comfortable, relaxing dining experience. The food quality is first rate. The wine selection is amazing, as well as specialty cocktails. Great beer selection as well. Great place to dine when visiting Mammoth Lakes.
Excellent! From the second we came through the door- what service! I can also say that we had the best waiter I think I've ever had in any restaurant. The food was superb. I got the chicken which was succulent. The sides were perfection. Everything perfectly cooked and seasoned. This is where you should eat dinner!!
We were recommended mogul from our Airbnb host and we were so happy we did. We walked in without reservation and they took us right in. From the start out server Leon was amazing. He checked on us and was so friendly. I went with the prime rib and lobster tail...both were amazing and cooked perfectly. I'll definitely be going again next time I'm in town We made it back to mammoth for July 4th and it's now become a tradition to visit Mogul restaurant before we leave. Always get the prime rib and it never disappoints.
Oh my gawdddd…5⭐️ to service, ambiance, food and a variety of amazing appetizers!! I highly recommend the mushrooms but everything must be good too😊 we came here back to back because it was just that good but most importantly the customer service is on point. It’s a good choice to celebrate or simply just spoil yourself cus you deserve it!!
First time in Mammoth, met Sade at another restaurant, (bar tender) invited us to try Mogul. Glad we did. Great service, great people. The restaurant is a little dated, but who cares, it's a ski town. So glad we went. Sade, definitely a 5 star.
Food was prepared perfectly. Was told about specials, so went ahead and ordered the artichoke. Which was great. When we come back to Mammoth will be visiting this restaurant again!
The best place on Mammoth and some of the best food, service, and atmosphere we have ever experienced. I will be back again!
One is the best anniversary place to visit . Loved the prime rib, lobster and lost our minds over the beautifully prepared crab legs, one of the finest comfort food places with a rustic vibe , the owner and the service was 2nd to none. Your waiter also cooks and prepares your food. Keep up the great work there.
If ever a trip to Mammoth, make sure you get over here for dinner. Should've made a reso but the Manager was quick to find a server and accommodate us as a walk in. David was our server and he was such a delight. Very attentive and all about service. We had the Flat Iron and Prime Rib. Both cooked perfectly. Wine is nicely priced. Will definitely be back on our next trip up to the mountain.
I recently visited Mogul Restaurant and had a great experience. It’s a perfect place to enjoy a quality meal in a warm and cozy atmosphere, especially after a day in the mountains. The interior has a classic mountain lodge feel — comfortable and inviting. The service was excellent: friendly, attentive, and professional without being overbearing. The food was outstanding. I ordered a steak, and it was cooked perfectly — juicy, flavorful, and served with fresh, well-prepared sides. You can really tell they use high-quality ingredients. Portions were generous, and the prices were absolutely fair for the quality. Overall, Mogul Restaurant is a place I would definitely come back to. A great choice for dinner with family or friends. Highly recommended!
We LOVE coming here whenever we’re in Mammoth!! This place is a must if you’re in town - the food is delicious especially the Prime Rib!! The drinks are solid and the staff is amazing, friendly and personable - get here early because it fills up fast, it’s definitely worth the wait, check out the bar!!
If you're in the mood for a quality, properly cooked steak; look no more!!! We ordered medium rare ribeyes. The entrees come with a choice of side, steamed veggies and freshly baked bread. Everything was absolutely delicious. The server was attentive, engaging and very friendly. She took our orders promptly and the food was ready very quickly. The beef tasted like one expects a great cut to taste. Deep flavor, well marbled, properly trimmed and seared to perfection. This restaurant has been in business since 1971 and there is an unmistakable reason why: Quality food and quality staff. Put this restaurant on your "must go" list for your next visit to The Village, you won't be disappointed!!!

We recently visited The Mogul for the full “Animal Protein” experience and everything was mostly great. Among our group, we tried the chicken, fish, and steak. The steak lovers in our group were very happy , it was juicy and cooked well. The fish was decent too. However, the chicken didn’t meet our expectations. The staff was nice, especially two gentlemen who greeted us with a warm, welcoming. Overall, I recommend this restaurant for a nice dinner outing in Mammoth Lakes. Just a tip: it’s better to make a reservation,, Also, note that they open after 5:30 PM
If you wanna have a nice piece of protein (fish or pork or steak or elk chop), here is the spot. The fire grill gives a full flavor profile to your meat. Overall, pretty good environment. Staffs are friendly.
We feel this restaurant is overrated. It’s too old fashioned and outdated for our taste. We ordered a mammoth cut prime rib, which cooked beautifully but other than that, the baked potato is just a potato being baked without any other taste, the same thing to the vegetables. The wedge salad is delicious and classic. If you like classic style, you will like here. But if you like something more modern, you should skip to somewhere else.
My real rating is more of a 4.3 A good place to get steaks if you are in Mammoth. I got the New York Steak and enjoyed it. It could have been better it felt lacking in the seasoning. The service was great, they gave bread appetizers. The environment of the restaurant felt very welcoming and friendly.

Friendly little bar serving cheerful inexpensive drinks. Ribeye was delicious. Our server was fun. Why only 4 stars? Freezing cold inside! I had to wear my Michelin Man coat!
We both ordered prime rib s it was the special and an appetizer of the mushrooms. The mushrooms was one of the things my girlfriend remembers the most about our trip to the States. They were indeed quite good and the prime rib was excellent, though it was all a bit pricey. The atmosphere is very nice. It's a warm and cozy place for cold mountain evenings and the staff is very high end and attentive. We would come here again.
Food was good, service outstanding. Friendly service at the bar with a great Mammoth hazy IPA on tap 👍🏻
Cozy atmosphere offering delicious steaks and much more! I really enjoyed the rustic ambiance and it's so warm inside from all the food cooking right in front of you which makes it perfect for a cold evening! Your server does it all! They will cook your meat or fish on a grill that's located in one of the rooms. We weren't sat in that particular room but could still feel the warmth from it and hear everything sizzling away on the grill. Our steaks were fantastic! Cooked and seasoned perfectly. The mashed potatoes and simply cooked veggies (green beans and carrots) were great as well and let's not forget about the delicious salad bar! Good salad bars turn me on! Make your own and each meal comes with a trip to it! If you're looking for a great steak and reasonable prices this place won't disappoint. I love places that match their surroundings and it's the perfect match for Mammoth!
We got seated right away despite it being pretty busy. The drink options were varied, but neither of our drinks were particularly tasty. But the food was great. If they have the Elk Chops as the special, they were cooked to perfection and the cherry chutney on top was something special. The staff were incredibly friendly and chatty.
Great service decent food The filet was just ok but nothing to brag about The white fish was above average but not spectacular. Our server Scott was fantastic, one of the best servers we’ve ever had. The place is simple and nice clean but not fancy The dessert was excellent Cinnamon charlotte was phenomenal! The mango sorbet was delicious
Had very high expectations, but the food was just okay. We ordered grilled chicken, aged Ribeye steak and shrimp. It is comparitively expensive as well. Got seated after few minutes of wait during fourth of July long weekend and the service was good. Overall, Mogul is a decent steakhouse but not for me.

Pretty nice restaurant. Seems to be a popular spot in mammoth. We had to get a reservation on Friday night. Waiters were very friendly and had a nice ambiance. Food was overpriced for what it was. One of our steaks was cooked rare when asked for medium rare. Also one of our chickens at our table was underdone. Pricey for an undercooked steak/chicken.
All the staff we came into contact were very friendly and professional. The food was lacking for the most part -- veggies (asparagus and a single slice of red bell pepper) were steamed and not seasoned at all, rice pilaf had an odd taste and the texture made it seem old and reheated, the prime rib was "eh" and the shrimp my spouse got tasted like the sweet and sour sauce they used was from McDonalds. We did order the mushrooms as an appetizer and while these were the star of the dinner and quite delicious, they served them to us after we had already received the meal instead of as an actual appetizer. The $108 pricetag of this meal for two people was very steep for the taste and quality of the food. Would not return or recommend.
The host as well as our server David were excellent. Friendly, helpful, knowledgeable. The issues were as follows. The artichoke was not trimmed nor was the choke removed in fact the artichoke was undercooked with no meat on the leaves. It was sent back for a replacement. The prime rib was chewy/tough. Difficult to cut. The baked potatoes skin was tough and crazy at it may seem difficult to cut. I ordered a gin & tonic and it took an extremely long time to get.
We live in Mammoth and this used to be our favorite dining spot for special occasions. However, the last two times we ate there, it was so noisy that it ruined our meal. We used to request a quiet booth at the front and they would accommodate us. Now, they seat us in the back part at the smaller tables (near a large table that seats 8+). I suppose they're trying to cram as many ppl in there as they can to make more profit (I understand it's a resort town business), but it's like eating at a Chuck E. Cheese now. Plus, we felt rushed by our server. It really felt like a "cattle in, cattle out" kind of experience. ☹️ We miss the "old" Mogul!
Service is great. Food was not the highlight unfortunately. Too bland for our taste. Highly recommend the mushrooms though. Atmosphere is old school, a capsule from an old time.

We waited a long time for undercooked chicken and over cooked steak. Service was proactive and accommodating, but for the price, it was disappointing, considering the already limited menu. Food had good flavor (not great), and the wait staff did a good job taking care of us in the meantime.
Nothing upscale here. Food is Sizzler quality. Atmosphere is campy. Prime rib was the worst I’ve had….mostly gristle . The artichoke, bus boy and waitress were the best part. I wouldn’t come back.
We were sadly disappointed by our experience at the Mogul this evening after reading so many positive reviews. On the positive side, the restaurant was pretty kid friendly, though the menu online says that kids receive a balloon with their meal— ours did not. The mushroom appetizer was quite good. A few things, however, made our experience overall quite poor. We ordered the prime rib and it was very chewy— almost inedible. The most challenging part of the evening was that our server, while very nice, appeared to be quite intoxicated. He smelled of alcohol, spilled my drink (and did not offer a replacement) and seemed to have trouble holding plates of food upright. Our service was quite slow. Perhaps the worst, when we tried to discuss this at the front with a man who appeared to be the manager, he dismissed our concerns and didn’t bother even replying waiving is off with no care. This was all quite disappointing for a $200 meal. We will not be returning.
This was a disappointment from the minute we walked in the door and we should have left. Reception guy had us wait when we had a reservation and the restaurant was nearly empty. It was almost a power play. Waitress started with, What do you think you'd like to have for dinner? No offer of a drink to start! When I asked about fish, she basically said, yes, we have fish and we grill it. She bragged about being there for well over 20 years. After twenty years she didn't know to take a drink order first? The best staff we encountered was Juan. He was plesant and efficient and we truly appreciated him. This is an expensive option for dinner which is fine but staff overall does not measure up. Limited menu options, again okay but no steak or other options for a smaller appetite. I ended up with an appetizer. Truly disappointing. More disappointed in myself for not leaving while I still had no drink on the table!

They didn’t ask us how many people we had in our party before they told us they didn’t have any tables available and had to wait 1.5 hours. We all are colored people. And yes they did look at us up and down.
Ribs were tough, tasted like they were boiled an hour and slapped with tasteless bbq sauce
During our recent visit to this steakhouse in Mammoth Mountain, my party of four encountered several disappointing issues that marred our dining experience. From the onset, the cryptic response we received upon calling to inquire about accommodation was our first red flag. Upon arrival, it became evident that we were not exactly welcomed, a sentiment that was palpably reinforced by the owner and manager's apparent disregard for our presence. This differential treatment was both uncomfortable and disheartening. The quality of the food, particularly the steak, was another major letdown. The necessity to request A1 sauce at a steakhouse speaks volumes about the meal's quality, which fell short of expectations for a reputable establishment. However, amidst these negatives, our server Karen was a beacon of excellence. Her professionalism, kindness, and dedication significantly improved our experience, making us feel valued and appreciated despite the overarching atmosphere. I urge the management to consider this feedback seriously. It is crucial to treat all patrons equally, regardless of any perceived differences. The noticeable disparity in treatment between us and other guests was not only evident but also disappointing. Fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment, alongside ensuring high-quality culinary offerings, should be paramount. Such changes could transform experiences from disappointing to delightful, encouraging patrons to return. While Karen's exceptional service provided a glimmer of hope, the overall experience was underwhelming. Regrettably, without significant improvements in customer service and food quality, I will not be returning.
I called in and the girl told me no more reservations but show up at 7:30 and will get you in no problem. I show up at 7:15 and get told that they don’t know if it’s gonna work because a lot of people beat me to it. Non-accommodating, bad attitudes:/ wasted our Saturday evening dinner in mammoth and the guy was a total jerk about it...
It was an uncomfortable experience and we got a unwelcoming feeling at The Mogul Restaurant tonight. We had a reservation for 545pm and I called around 4pm and spoke with Steve to ask if we could move it later to 730pm because our baby had issues and he said ok no problem try to show up a little earlier like around 7pm and we will get you seated right away. We got there around 655pm and noticed a lot of empty tables and even heard one of the waiters say it was slow and he only had two tables. We were greeted by Taylor the front desk scheduling guy who never smiled at us once and had a negative big ego attitude and he tells us we will have to wait about 15-20 minutes for a table to free up. We explained to him that we were told we could be seated right away by Steve if we showed up closer to 7pm and he said no. We are slammed. I said but you have lots of empty tables and he totally blew me off and acted like he didn't hear me because he's too busy looking at his schedule. We sat for about 15 minutes in the chairs by the front door where it's freezing cold because it's 12F outside and freezing cold air is blowing in every time someone walks in or out and my 2 year baby starts crying because he's cold. My wife approaches Taylor and asks him is there any way we can get seated right away because we are cold and he ignores her and walks away from the host stand and disappears. We had enough of this crap and as we got up and started walking out a nice lady with glasses we haven't seen before asks us for our phone number so they can call us when our table is finally ready. Thank God we didn't wait for their call back because they didn't call us until much later! This is not how you treat customers especially ones with a 2 year old baby. We went to Harmony Brazilian BBQ next door, got seated right away and had a delicious all you can eat steak meal. The front of the house scheduling here at The Mogul needs to improve, treat customers with respect and be nicer to customers.
