First time here and it's a hidden gem! My Husband and I split the carne asada omelette and had a pancake on the side. MORE than enough food!! Delicious!! Service Excellent!! We'll Definitely be back!!
Great service. Great prices. Great tasting food. Loved chips and salsa with breakfast. Happy we found this restaurant!
Breakfast: Outstanding! We got a sausage skillet and chilaquiles verdes with eggs and substituted for sausage. Great cafe de olla. Will return soon! ❤️
Amazing (free) chips and salsa. Great service. Beautiful interior. No complaints! All the food was fantastic. Breakfast all day is a major plus.
First time coming here. It was amazing. I didn't know what to get. So many good plate combos in the menu and excellent prices. Liz our server was awesome. Thank you Liz for this amazing experience. I can't wait to come back and try another plate. I highly recommend this place to everyone. High quality food and people. Loved the taste. Liz was very attentive to our needs. I got the Chilaquiles with 2 eggs, carne asada, rice, and beans. It was delicious. Definitely will be coming back. 👍🏽👍🏽 I will post updated pictures of menu.
First time here and we loved it. Brought my wife for her birthday and she is happy. The atmosphere is nice. The food was delicious. They Definitely they have a some good cooks. Our server Lisbeth treated us very good and gave us top notch customer service. They have regular coffee and cafe de la olla. 😎 both pretty good. I recommend this place for anyone looking for good Mexican breakfast.
This is a great place for breakfast/ brunch. It's right off the 215 fwy on Scott Rd. Closest cross street is Haun Rd. It's in a small shopping center in the corner suite closest to Scott Rd and Haun. It has a nice, relaxing, quiet atmosphere inside. Our server was very courteous. We noticed there's a cantina/bar area in another room. We haven't been on that side, but I'd thought I'd mention it. We've been here a few times and we were never disappointed. They give you tortilla chips and salsa (which we love) while you're waiting for your food. We love their Banana Foster's French toast. It's amazing. I feel like that's one of their signature dish. Their orange juice tasted like it was freshly squeezed. Everything tasted fresh. They have a lot of delicious options to choose from in their menu. We're definitely coming back to try the rest of their items on their menu. The prices are also reasonable. Wheelchair friendly and their bathrooms were clean.
Food is reasonably priced and tastes pretty good. The atmosphere was a nice touch as well, I’m more of a fan of dimmer lighting so I felt pretty relaxed. Just wished the proportions were a bit bigger. No complaints
This is an updated and edited review. Originally three stars now four stars let me explain. If you were to ask me if you should get a breakfast plate to go, I would say no. However, if you were to ask me if you should get a burrito to go, I’d say yes. The burritos are 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥 I’ll update a third time when I get try another dish but so far they’re doing alright. Would come back but would have to be careful if I were getting it to go.
Read a lot of good reviews regarding the food. After a 45 minute wait we finally got to sit down and order. Got a carnitas burrito with a side of fruit and a carnitas plate with a side of fries and veggies. Carnitas: dry and a sweet bland flavor. Beans: dry lacking moisture Cheese: sweet not appetizing Michilada: served in a hot scooner with ice, not ice cold as could expect a michi to come served. Rest of the sides where okay. Might have just been our order and at the tail end of breakfast. But this place did not live up to the review hype.
Food wasn't good. My refried beans were giant lumps ( not fresh) . We had a party of 7 and The only meal anybody liked was eggs. Will not be going back.
I used to eat here all the time. I quit when I found lots of fingernails in my food. After not having eaten there in a few years I tried it again. I had a Carne Asada Burrito. The meat was under cooked and challenging to eat. There was lots of cartilage in almost every bite I had to remove from my mouth. I mentioned this to the waiter and he said he'd talk to the cook. Very polite but I did not know what to expect by telling him. Obviously I'm not going back. Finally, the food has left me queasy and I am having a hard time sleeping so I'm writing this review at 1 am. The take away. If you find a mouth full of cartilage or fingernails, stop eating! There were two others with me but they did not seem to have problems with their food. I'll ask them about their dishes in the future though. The atmosphere is perfect though. If there were not food issues I'd eat there all the time again.
The food here is okay, but be prepared to pay for any extras that come out of the kitchen like extra tortillas, for instance, and they don't tell you about the upcharge until your bill comes, also the service is terrible, I sat there for fifteen minutes before they even asked me if I wanted something to drink, during my meal, I was trying to get the attention of a server and none of them would make eye contact with me! Very disappointed, I will not be eating there again!
While I usually don’t leave reviews, I felt this experience deserved one. The atmosphere was nice and the food itself wasn’t bad. We were seated quickly, and a server came by to take our drink order. A short while later, a different server took our food order. After waiting quite a bit, we realized our drinks still hadn’t arrived. The second server came to our table and asked if we had ordered drinks, and when we told her yes that we had placed it with the other server, she then brought them out shortly after. The food came out fairly quickly and was decent. However, once it was dropped off, our server never returned to check on us. My partner had ordered French Toast but never received syrup, and we both needed drink refills. We noticed the other server actively checking on all her tables, while ours completely neglected us. After waiting for a while, we had to flag down the other server, which prompted our own server to finally come over. She apologized, but by then we just asked for what we needed, the check, paid, and left. We’re not from the area, but unfortunately this was one of the worst service experiences I’ve had at a restaurant.
Hostess was rude, food was fair, man who brought out food was friendly. I had been wanting to try it but was not impressed. They never dust: window and window sill was dirty! If they dining area is unclean, I don't want to see the kitchen!
Waited 35 minutes to be seated and after an additional 45 minutes still did not receive food. When question there is no apology from the waitress just told that they were busy. We paid for our drinks and left. Will not be back.
So I had placed a phone order for pick up. I could tell the girl that answered was new because during the conversation I could hear her speaking in the background to someone asking them questions on how to do things. Anyways, I ordered the chilaquiles. I asked the girl if they do red sauce and she said they do both red and green sauce. I said, "okay I'll order the red sauce." She asked, "how I'd like the eggs with the chilaquiles." I said scrambled. She said, "I'm sorry we don't do deviled eggs as an option." I said, "oh no I said scrambled." That was the first indication that she probably couldn't hear what I was saying and the fact I had to constantly repeat myself during the conversation. So I finished ordering the food and my husband went to go pick it up. When he got there they asked what order he was picking up for because there for no name for the order. She didn't ask me for my name btw. Well he said red chilaquiles and continue with the rest of the order. Apparently the girl swore I ordered green chilaquiles. Husband knows me and thats what he told them. She only orders red chilaquiles. So he waited another 10 minutes for them to "remake" the chilaquiles. When i opened it there was red sauce poured all over the food and I could see green sauce at the bottom. So I started moving the food around and the whole food is mixed with green sauce. I'm pissed. My husband's pissed because they made him wait longer and pretended that they remade the food. I get it I worked in food.. mistakes happen, misunderstandings happen. There were times when I had to take back food because a customer said that's not what they ordered, but I could have swore they did. However, they need to take accountability this is their business. I wasn't mad until I saw the food. Anyways, I don't recommend eating here and obviously we won't be going back.So I had placed a phone order for pick up. This is not the same quality food as it was 2 years ago. Not sure if it’s new ownership but the food tastes old (beans crunchy) and uncle Ben’s rice out of a bag and warmed up. This used to be authentic Mexican but is not anymore.
My Husband and I order the 2 shredded beef taco plate. It was Terrible!! My first bite i couldn't bite through the meat it was Super dry. Pretty close to beef jerky. The rice and beans were barely warm. When we arrived on a Saturday at 5:00 pm for dinner and there were only 2 groups of people there i should I have left then. I will NEVER go there again.
