Unimpressive on the outside but a gem on the inside! Beautiful artwork, awesome staff and food to die for! Decent prices too. I will go back year after year for their chicken panang! You must try!!!
Best thai food I've had since Thailand. It is a little ghetto around the place....I wouldn't have felt safe by myself with kids, but I was with my tall husband. We got pad thai, pad sew ew, and green curry. We also had fried spring rolls which were great!
Green curry was soo good. Me and my wife were returning from Yosemite and stop by before heading back to the Bay Area. Thai milk tea was delicious too.
Very authentic Thai food, all dishes are superb. Drop by after the Yosemite trip, very positive surprise 🫢
Best place to get some great Pho! service is fast and friendly! Been coming here almost every other weekend, my girlfriend loves their beef pho!
Everything about this place is excellent its hard to find anything bad about it, the price is fair for all the food you get. Large food togo boxes full tobthe top, great staff great atmosphere! High-quality food , really recommended!
The food was excellent. I had the yellow curry with chicken. Unfortunately, they were out of mangos so I was not able to try their mango sticky rice.
Excellent traditional Thai food and flavor! Daily specials are a great way to try different recipes and we have not been disappointed! This is one of our "go to" places for Thai food.
Great food! Nicest people, they were very attentive. I ordered the chicken pad ew and got a nice big serving that was also my lunch for the next day.
This place is BOMB! Just visited for the first time and the food was amazing I got the orange chicken and chow-mein and by far the best flavor food I’ve tested from all Thai cuisine places I’ve tried you guys have to come and check it out!
We were traveling though CA to go back home to AZ and felt like Thai food. I used Google maps and found this place. So worth the stop. Excellent Pad Thai, spring rolls and Mango Rice. The mangos were absolutely perfect! This is one happy girl.
Ordered for pick up. Packaged perfectly. Food was excellent. The team was excellent with their customer service as well. Thank you Thai Cuisine.
What a great day for soup. Had Thai combo noodle soup. It hit the spot. Cost around $15. I recommend this place. The place is very small and can fill up easily. My first time there it was full and then stayed about 70-80 percent full. It has about 7 spots for 4 people each and 1 table for two (my seat). 02/11/22 Had another bowl of noodle soup, good, not as crowded today.
This is one of my top Pho places in Merced. The broths flavorful the portion size is good. The service is great. The menu has good options. I recommend to eat the Duck pho with egg noodle or the drunken noodle. And a coffee or thai tea to drink.
Excellent food and service. We had Basil Fried Rice with prawns and stir fried glass noodle with beef. Thumbs up. If you are in town of Merced and crave for oriental food like I did be sure to drop by this place close to motel drive of 99 free way. You will not be disappointed.
This is where we go when we want a special treat meal. My favorite place to eat!!!! I love all of their dishes. The service is stupendous with kind people and the food is amazing. If you are looking for an affordable dinner that tastes incredible... you just found the spot.
The chicken chowmein was amazing! The Thai iced too is nice and sweet! The egg rolls and the sauce that comes with them was delicious! You can't go wrong with this place. The flavor is here.
The service was polite and quick. The food was delicious. I had just one dish and it was cooked just right. Very flavorful. The location is just off the CA99, so it's hardly a detour, and very easy to get to, and back onto the freeway
The special of the day fish and white rice was amazingly tasty and delicious. I going to broaden my horizon and try different platters. I drive 10 miles for their noodle soup witch is the best in town.
Their dishes were above my expectations. Which is a really good thing. I looooved their Lao style Som Tum. However wasn't really feeling their Pho noodle dish. Maybe it was my mistake for not trying it before adding additional fish sauce. Regardless, the waitress who helped us was very helpful. Brought us additional bowls before I even got the chance to ask for them. I highly recommend this place.
We enjoyed our meal here very much. The server was VERY nice, friendly. Lots of vegetarian options, which was good for a meatless Friday. Everything was cooked freshly and served quickly. Pad Se Eew had lots of vegetables and tasted yummy. Green Papaya salad was a hit - the only problem was that it was more spicy that we would have liked. That is the problem with trying a new restaurant, you don't know how to answer the "how spicy do you want it" question. We asked for medium spicy, it was very hot. But we still ate it all. And we had a shrimp appetizer, very tasty but simple. Good prices considering how much food we received.
This hole in the wall gem is now one of our favorite places to stop when we’re passing through, which is often. Food is very fresh and delicious. Our server greeted us with a smile and immediately attended to us. I highly recommend this place.
Delicious! Portions are on the smaller side though. The barbecue chicken wasn’t what we thought. Seemed like satay chicken but delicious regardless. The sweet sticky rice with mango was so yummy. But definitely pricey for the portion size. Fresh taste for sure!
Soooo tasty! This was some of thee best Thai food I've had outside of Bangkok! I ordered Basil mussels, Papaya salad and the spring rolls. Drinks included thai tea (very refreshing) and the mango smoothie, (which tasted like i was drinking the epitome of the perfect summer mango... I'm not kidding!) Everything was unexpectedly VERY GOOD. My mom ordered the half duck, that was obviously not their best dish, but everything else was superb. 😋 I'd definitely come back!

This is the most amazing place I’ve ever eaten at. It was my first time trying Thai food and it was the most pleasant and delicious experience, the server was absolutely kind. Ps. Try the mango sticky rice !!
Probably the best Tai food in Merced along with tai cuisine 2 , with fresh veggies and lots of color in their dishes. The ladies that work there are friendly. My favorites are Pad see ew, Pinapple fried rice, chicken satay, and fresh spring rolls. That’s enough food for 3-4 people and it came out to 60$
This spot is a gem. Food was absolutely delicious. Panang Curry was out of this world. I get duck every chance I get and they were happy to substitute it in for me. The family that runs the restaurant were SUPER friendly and kind. Thanks again!
G’Day! We’re travelers from Sydney passing through to San Francisco from Yosemite. Great to have some Asian cuisine after a week of burgers and fries! Pad Thai was good and saucy. Service was pleasant, quick and food was fresh. Thanks for the traveling tips too! Wishing you all the best!
For the last year I've been going to different pad Thai places around in the San Joaquin valley. This pad thai was something special. It was really tasty. Now I'm no food expert but I am a professional fat ass. I feel bad I didn't take a picture because it looks so good and I ate it so quickly. No lie I almost licked the plate clean but there were people in the building. Food came out quickly. I also really like the three different chili selections they had on the table. Four including Sriracha. That dry chili flake powder is nothing to play with. It is not there to make friends. I will be back to try something else next time I visit Merced.
My recent visit to this Vietnamese restaurant left me utterly delighted. The ambiance was a delightful fusion of modern elegance and traditional charm, making it an ideal spot for a romantic dinner. The service was impeccable, with the waitstaff being both courteous and attentive. But the real star of the show was the food. The menu boasted a wide range of options, and each dish was a masterpiece. The banh mi sandwich was a taste explosion, and the crispy spring rolls were a perfect start to our meal. This restaurant is a true gem that deserves all the accolades.

They have great prices and are quick! I have tried Pad Thai, chicken satay, and curry here and have enjoyed everything I have ordered. The takeout availability is awesome too and the restaurant is small and quiet if you are looking to eat in. The only negative is the location of the restaurant; everytime I go there are people loitering around outside, panhandling, and once one of these people slapped their hand on my car. Everything else is great.
Arrived for lunch 1ish. A young woman was the only person for the whole place. It's not that big, but she was good at keeping up with everyone. The portions were either big or small. Hubby ordered the combination noodle soup, large. It was a it said, large. I ordered the full order Yellow Curry, which actually came with rice - most charge extra. The full size was quite small in my opinion, but none the less, the taste was on point! I was super happy with the spice level. Normally it's too much on just a standard basis, but this was perfect. For someone who prefers a not-so- spicy curry, it was great. The Thai tea was mixed right. The milk and tea did not overpower each other. Overall, we will be back. The only thing I would recommend is a half size larger portion on the curry. See you soon Thai Cuisine!
We were suspicious because the dishes looked like Americanized Thai food but they tasted surprisingly good.
Love the food here Keep coming back

We all enjoyed our dishes- asparagus tofu, yellow chicken curry, beef pad Thai and duck noodle soup. Flavor and presentation. Service was great, as well. The only odd thing, we didn't see a beverage menu listing and had to ask about drinks.
Strong disappointment after reading some rave reviews.. Soo it’s ok good to satisfy Thai cravings since nothing much around here within 5 minutes drive. BuT the thing is... the food is American “Thai” not real Thai.. pad see ew was .. umm eww bla😝 where’s the eggs cooked into the noodles.. I mean it’s eatable but not “Pad see Eu with beef” Ordered lemongrass soup Tom Yum (after talking to the girl, said ok no coconut today.. & thought she heard me 😡 I mean occasionally I’ll have Tom kha but rarely. I’ve always like Tom yum first.. and tonight I want the spice of red not with coconut milk) I mean it’s ok soups, not great but would’ve been better if I got what I asked for.. and there was some salty msg or something after taste I don’t like.. 🥴 oh well. Oh well they can only survive &do so to us travelers who will never return anyways.
I came here about ten years ago, and the food was excellent. I really wish the old owners would return. I ordered egg rolls. Totally the wrong flavor. I can't really describe how they tasted, but it wasn't pleasant. Tasted kind of like fishy. I don't think there was anything unsafe, just a little odd. I ordered Larb Na. Supposed to be extra wide noodles with a protein (I got chicken) and a flavorful Thai gravy. First, no gravy. Second, no veges, third, chicken was mushy. I mean really mushy, with an unpleasant flavor. No spiciness either. They gave me a big container of soup that I didn't. Order, and I think that might have been the gravy, veges, and chicken for the Larb Na. If that was the case, it wouldn't have been very good. Funny thing is, the soup was the best thing I got. Seriously, on it's own, it was very good, but not very Thai. Zero spiciness. I also ordered Red Curry soup for my brother. It smells great! Haven't tried it, because it is my brother's. I don't expect to return to this place. The disappointment was strong tonite.
I ordered one shrimp Tom Yum. It was good. It was definitely on the sour side. I would have liked a bit more shrimp considering the size and price of the item. I also ordered one Po Tak. It was delicious and fragrant. It had a decent portion of different seafood. It tasted very fresh and balanced. I definitely recommend it if you are someone who loves seafood or if you are still feeling the night before 🥳 Their Thai iced tea is delicious. For dessert I ordered their Sweet Rice with Mango. They told me they didn’t have any more mango, but that they would put extra sweet rice for the same price. I agreed. When I arrived home, I was disappointed. The sweet rice was dry and the portion small. The dessert did not reflect its $9 price tag in taste nor size. I would recommend you pass on it if they don’t have mango. Overall, good place. Menu is on the pricier side considering portions. Recommend the Po Tak.
First time here and I'm not really impress with my soup. I order the combination noodle soup with meat balls. There was not really any taste on the broth and it lack some meat for the price that they ask for. On my soup i found only 3 small shrimp, not enough calamari or inmitation crab. I wasnt happy with it. My wife order the yellow chicken curry and that was full of flavor. As for the restaurant is decent clean, but i notice that they don't disentfect the menus table, chairs and their chop sticks and soup spoons any can grab them from the table that you are seating on. The restrooms are clean "atleast the men's".

Ordered pad kra pao with pork and I got something completely unexpected. I asked for it to be made spicy and it was complete white people mild, zero spice whatsoever. Pad kra pao is supposed to have Thai chili peppers but there were only bell peppers. Very disappointing. The stir fry was very soupy and the rice was served on the side instead of the stir fry being served on top of the rice. The dish tasted fine after I put 6 scoops of chili garlic sauce on top... until I found a hair in my food. Workers in the kitchen were not wearing hats or hair nets. Rated 2 stars instead of 1 because the waitress was nice and didn't charge for the food. Will not be returning though. Do not recommend, this is not authentic Thai food in any way this is very much an American Thai style.
I want to order to dines in and I stand in the restaurant forever. Finally the girl from the kitchen ask me “ what do you want “ very in polite. Very bad service.
The chicken tasted like freezer burn. Prices went up drastically (for no appealing reason)
With 1 hour to go before shutdown we were turned away. Very sad. Saturday night and this place closes at 8:30 PM - it just doesn't make sense why these type of restaurants close so early on the weekend. I'd think they'd want to maximize their business, oh well, my daughter and I will find a place where our business is appreciated.

Food was good but has anyone ever noticed that they take out there own tips so you end up paying way way more then your suppose to??? Rediculous!!! Paid about $15 extra for 3 plates! They definitely know how to make money! Would not suggest as a place to eat unless you really want to pay extra.
Horrible service. Upon entering the restaurant, we were not greeted for a few min and then told to sit at a booth. The waitress, without saying anything, threw 2 menus on the table and went back into the kitchen area without taking our drink orders. After sometime she came back from the kitchen and rudely asked what we wanted. I should've left at that time but, people say the food is good here. She came back with our orders, placed them on the table and disappeared back into the kitchen, not adking for drinks. They never once checked back on us until the end whrn they brought the check. I asked for a sprite and she seemed annoyed that she had to go back and re do our check to add the drinks. Thai Cuisine II had by far better service and better good. I will never come back nor recommend anyone here. I will stay loyal to Thai Cuisine II.
Thai Cuisine was a huge disappointment, and I can’t recommend it based on my experience. Food: I tried the Green Curry and Panang Curry, and neither of them were to my liking. The Panang Curry was way too spicy, to the point where it overpowered any other flavors, while the Green Curry was excessively sweet. Neither dish was balanced, and I was disappointed by the lack of customization options—they didn’t even ask us about spice levels, which would have been helpful. Hygiene: To make matters worse, there were cockroaches under our table. It was absolutely unacceptable and made for an uncomfortable dining experience. I’ve attached pictures to show the condition of the place—this is not something you should expect from any restaurant. Service: The staff were not friendly, and the service was subpar. They weren’t attentive or accommodating, and it felt like we were an afterthought. When you’re paying for a meal, the least you can expect is decent service, but unfortunately, that was missing here. Ambience: The ambience was laughable at best. It was far from the cozy, inviting atmosphere I was hoping for, and the overall vibe just didn’t make the meal enjoyable. It felt more like a poorly managed space than a restaurant where you’d want to sit and enjoy your food. Overall, the food, hygiene, service, and ambience were all huge letdowns. With cockroaches in the dining area and lackluster food, I won’t be returning to Ramen Hajime anytime soon.

Would’ve given him a better review if it wasn’t for the hair I found in my drink and the multiple pieces of plastic I found in my pho when I told him about it, they offered to remake it, but at that point, I’d already lost my appetite so they offered a refund, but we’re trying to give me a full refund even though I gave them the food back. Definitely don’t go here unless you want to eat plastic and drink human hair.
I walked in and wasn’t acknowledged at all. I stood there for several minutes with no greeting or indication that anyone would be helping me. A worker came out at one point to give firefighters their food, but still said nothing to me—as I stood there. After waiting a bit longer with no acknowledgment, I decided this wasn’t the place for me to have lunch and left. Very disappointing experience.
My wife goes to eat here because she was craving yellow curry with my 3 yr old son everything was fine and they were nice but as soon as they found out my wife was Cambodian they told her they cant serve her and that she needed to leave what kind of restaurant in 2025 would do this?
