Really enjoyed my custard donut ($3) and latte ($2.50). The coffee, although espresso, wasn't quite what I was expecting (small, sweet and creamy) but was delicious. The donut selection is very big and they all looked delicious. Decor is cute and service is friendly.
This place is a must... the most delicious, fresh and creative donuts I’ve had so far! The place is welcoming and the staff very friendly. They will make you a fresh donut from the menu. Dulce de leche is my favorite!
One of the best doughnuts I’ve had. If you like crispy creme you’ll love this place. Good strong coffee
Amazingly delicious donuts, and very nice staff. The donuts are fresh and super tasty. My favorite was the maple bacon. If your ever in Little Havana make sure you try this place out.
Very cute little donut shop in little Havana! We had a Boston creme donut! It was excellent! I’m not sure I have ever had a donut filled with so much creme filling! I highly recommend swinging in for a cup of coffee and a donut!
If you want old-fashioned donuts and coffee in a casual dinner atmosphere, this is your place! Highly recommend their Guava and Cheese filled donut and the original glazed, donut dough itself is just the right amount of soft and chewy. Prices are very fair at only $1-3 per donut and they have pretty good Cafe con Leche as well. Recommend Uber/Lyft here to avoid the hassle of trying to find parking on Calle Ocho.
This place has the BEST doughnuts. Better than Salty donut and nicer people. I love donuts. Try the banana cream. Daaaaamn! Update: got my discount card today. Gotta add guava, coconut and mango to my fav list. This place rocks!
Super clean, super friendly, super delicious! Great vibes and the location is a hop and a skip away from the pachanga that is Calle Ocho, love it!
Most amazing donuts I've had! Try the filled or craft dounts, it's heavenly.

Best homemade doughnuts ever!!!!
Is a beautiful place and delicius food
Decent donuts, decent prices.
Loved it. Great service
Great doughnuts and the service!
I sure love the great service I receive from my favorite employee Aleco Sanchez! He drives a cool Subi!
I was there for a pickup .. and when I was there I saw very good donuts .. those smells so good
Awesome doughnuts. Great and friendly workers. Amazing quality and an all around great experience.
Love their doughnuts especially the raspberry filled... Absolutely AMAZING!!
Great doughnuts here with excellent coffee. Very friendly staff.
The doughnuts are amazing! Perfect balance between fluffiness and density.
New name, same great game winning glazed donuts.
Everything looks sooo good. Crazy good toppings and fillings.
Had a donut and coffee and they were amazing
I've always considered Velvet Creme to be better that KK.
Awesome place. So friendly. Try the guava filled.
Boyfriend made me fat off this place I love it.
Really good donuts. It's also super cute on the inside
You can't go wrong with their original glazed!
Best doughnuts ever!!! Omg ♥️
Tastiest freshest doughnuts I've tasted.
Awesome Donuts! Beautiful store.
Ok, so tonight was my first visit to this doughnut shop, and I have to say - these donuts are fantastic! I had this green frosted vanilla doughnut - I swear to GOD I could've eaten an additional five (I had three and a coffee). I'll definitely be visiting this place again.
Cozy no frills modern/historical cafe gem!! Friendly service, clean restroom with fun donut making history artwork. Check this one out!!! House of coffee was closed for holiday, this place didn't disappoint as a Plan B :)
I have never been to the actual location but I have ordered twice from Uber Eats and the donuts are delicious and fresh. My nephew and niece can't get enough. I ordered the dulce de leche filled donut and it was amazing.
Donuts are delicious!!! I work just around the corner and the temptation is too real! Shout out to Alvarito for the friendly help. Just what the community needed! Looking forward to bringing my kids here on the weekend.
These are the best doughnuts in Miami and native Miamians like me remember eating these when we were kids. Velvet Creme has been selling doughnuts since 1947 and this iconic Little Havana location serves classic glazed doughnuts alongside Cuban-inspired flavors such as guayaba, dulce de leche, and others. Milk, coffee, soft serve ice cream, and other sweet concoctions are also available.
The donuts are awesome. I got glazed donuts, and I loved them. They have a wide variety of donuts. You can get anything from glazed, chocolate, to stuffed donuts. Plus, they have muffins, bagels, and ice cream.
Velvet Creme was the first doughnut shop in Miami back in 1947 right on 8th Street. For over 53 years this store remained a Miami icon. And now it's back with all the nostalgia and flavors from the past. A must visit, especially when visiting Little Havana.
Staff was great in helping me get everything squared away for an event, offering to make me a fresh batch, packing everything up nicely, and being super friendly. Donuts were fresh and delicious as always.
So I’m italian and think we make the best donuts yet, these donuts are marvellous! No horrid aftertaste of cooking oil and stuffed with custard cream! Amazing!
It's really good. If you are around and have he chance. Go no regrets. The donuts are super fresh and they have a lot of options.
The five stars at for the great doughnuts and coffee however I must say if I knew two doughnuts and one coffee would be over $13 we probably would have walked back out .
Absolutely delicious! Met the owner today and he was an extremely friendly/accommodating person. I also highly recommend the café con leche.
Yummmmmm!! Their donuts were so good and very reasonably priced! I also love the atmosphere!
The staff was so friendly and kind! We got there when they just finished making a batch of donuts and they were so fresh!
My kids and I loved the freshly glazed doughnuts and I'm very happy to be able to take them to my favorite doughnut shop I grew up with.
The doughnuts are amazing. Wish they would have it around Westchester or Kendall. I definitely recommend it to anyone
Different and creative flavors. All very good, but the simple glazed one is my favorite. It's just great
Delicious donuts and many different flavors. Really worth it to go there.
Excellent experience right at the onset of opening the door to the glamorous scent of freshly glazed doughnuts. The employees were very helpful and ran me thru all of the doughnut options. The actual doughnut fulfilled all of my expectations and more. Definitely a spot worth exploring when in Miami.
Geez! Initially I was taken aback when I was told the prices of the maple bacon donut I was getting for my son, BUT! My GOODNESS!!! 15 bucks for half dozen of THE BEST DONUTS I'VE EVER TASTED .., IN MY WORLDLY TRAVELS💯🔛✔🆙️ And, I HAVE traveled around this world., SO WORTH my early morning Saturday trip! Staff was awesomely kind and that's why I'm reviewing. I Don't mind spending money for EXCELLENT Customer Service and WONDERFULLY BAKED PRODUCTS! WELL WORTH the cost and trip to this Shoppe! You WILL NOT be disappointed!! 😋😋😋🍩🍩🍩
Went this morning! The doughnuts and cappuccino were delicious! Also the owner and staff are so friendly and we're all in such great moods :) definitely gonna go back. So glad to have this down the street!
M&M glazed and pink glaze with multi-color sprinkles are Eastons' favorites! If they were any fresher you would have to cook them yourself! Such a cool retro place with authentic Miami roots. Breakfast sandwiches are delish too! This is not your average doughnut shop. Staff is super friendly - like family!
Omg their coffee is so delicious here you wouldnt have to go anywhere else. It goes with the taste of their donut. The lady who made it for me made it so good that i didnt have this much of a good coffee in a long time. This is one of the place you should go to when you visit calle ocho! Amazing food amazing authentic flavorful coffe!!
Very well done glazed doughnut, specially for south Florida (humidity and dough are not friends) . Such a simple product, disastrous when done incorrectly, perfect , light and delicious when properly made such at this gem in little Havana . 2.50 for one perfect glazed donut . Popped in after trying an ice cream near by , and tossing my ice cream mid way , wanting to get my sweet fix , found them during viernes culturales.
I grew up on these Donuts in the Original spot off 8 th Street and 30 th Ave... this establishment is smaller than the original but still as friendly, clean, and the same taste I grew up on On my way to school in the mornings. Glad they brought it back!!! Worth the drive for a Glazed Donut!
Im a little sketchy about doughnuts that can last a week but they are great. And the salt and sweet of the doughnut sandwich worked perfectly. The owners are very cool and the idia of bringing this brand back is worth the visit.
First heard of them through ig. So after church we decided to look for them. And i love that they are in the heart of Little Havana. The staff was very friendly and polite, but most importantly patient with my girls. The doughnuts were so delicious. And they were fresh!!! Definitely no stale doughnuts here!!! I had the maple bacon doughnut and it was so tasty. Not overwhelming at all!!! Definitely check them out!!!! This will be a repeat for us.
Simple yet delicious donuts in a very nostalgic setting that will take you way back. The design of the store is very homey and very relaxing. Old photos and a style of earlier times really set this place apart from other donut shops. The donuts themselves are delicious and succulent. Tried the original glaze and key lime, and although they we're smaller than donuts I'm used to getting elsewhere, they definitely hit the spot. Prices are fair and staff is friendly. There are so much varieties to try!
Super impressed! The donuts were incredibly delicious and I don't even like donuts!!! My son wants to try every donut shop in every city that we visit and this is absolutely the best donut I think I've ever tried anywhere in the country. The service was excellent, they waited patiently while my son made up his mind which was difficult because they have so many amazing flavors. Definitely worth making a special Uber trip to although I noticed they also use Uber eats so we could have just ordered from our hotel but worth the trip to the shop itself it's very quaint and charming and clean.
Grrrrreat doughnuts, I had an original glazed and found it tasty, soft and heart-warming.The coffee was also very good, smooth and great roast taste. Also not to be left out was the staffing which was cheerful and welcoming. I really hope the donut shop stays in this location long.

The donuts are excellent, maybe even better than Krispy Kreme. However, they have raised the price of their dozen donuts by about $5 in the last two years. It's now about the same price as Mojo Donuts for smaller donuts.

Nice to see this Miami iconic place back
Very good donuts. The experience in little Havana is worth the trip.
The lady’s who were working there really need to work on customer service, however the donuts were good.
The glazed donuts are the best. Keep it simple..
Delicious. They were out of our favorite donuts. Bit pricey. love the new name. Very Miami. (305 is our original area code)
I love this place no competition compared to Dunkin Donuts donuts are a lot fresher better-tasting overall friendly staff holy big complaint I have about this place is they close too damn early you don't see Dunkin Donuts closing that early we are not in the 1950s keep this thing open earlier people in Miami smoke weed and get the munchies 😂☕🍩
Pretty cool selection of flavors. The filled donuts are tasty and the craft donuts are really good.
They did not disappoint with the second chance I gave them. Velvet Creme has its downsides, but the quick and kind work carried out to redeem their name is backed by their cordial care and delicious donuts. The quality found in Velvet Creme Doughnuts & Coffee have left me very likely to visit this shop again. Upon my first visit to Velvet Creme Doughnuts & Coffee, I was very let down. In light of this disappointment, I wrote a review voicing the downfalls of Velvet Creme. In response to my review, I was soon met with a request for additional information by Krista Rios, a Velvet Creme representative. The concerned and kind manner in which my issues with my experience were addressed was very commendable and proved to me that Velvet Creme was capable of much more than what I had previously believed. I was generously offered a sample dozen of the many donuts that Velvet Creme has to offer. While picking up the donuts for review, I met with store-owner Jorge Rios who very clearly loves his business and is notably set on recieving and using proper criticisms to improve Velvet Creme. He attentively heard and addressed all my concerns regarding my last visit. In regards to the customer service I experienced the first time around, he assured me that Velvet Creme is set on making everyone who visits the shop feel welcome and cared for. His attentiveness to me during this visit makes me certain that Velvet Creme is all about good service just as much as they are all about good food. In regards to the donuts I tasted the first time around, he assured me that quality matters to Velvet Creme. The glazed donut I sampled on my second go could not even be compared to the one I tried previously; it was really good. I will attribute my bad glazed donut last time to being part of a bad batch—which is not an excuse, but a reason to test the quality of all products before being sold. The chocolate-bacon donut was a special batch of donuts which will never be made again—a good call in my opinion. The best donut I had this time around was a guava-filled donut. This donut was great, it is now my new favorite donut. It is a very exciting and enjoyable spin on a pastelito de guayaba you can get from a Cuban bakery. It had a great texture and flavor. The only fault I could find in this donut was the distribution of its filling as the filling was very heavy on one side of the donut, leaving the other side unfilled and leading to a struggle to get a good bite of the donut that had a good filling-to-bread ratio. I will definitely hope that the production of this donut is an easy fix as this fault is really the only thing keeping it from being a perfect donut. The worst donut I had out of the dozen was most definitely the chocolate cake donut. The texture was a bit too dense, but the flavor was its biggest flaw. The chocolate flavor was there, but the chocolate tasted unlike any chocolate I’ve tried before. It was artificial and faintly rancid. It was very off-putting, so much so that I did not eat much of this donut. I tried twelve donuts in all; however, I’ve only included my review for the best and for the worst due to a lack of space to include my review for the rest. The other donuts I tried had their share of points worth praising and criticizing, but overall, the donuts were better than last time. In retrospect, I am glad I gave Velvet Creme a second go. The donuts I had and the experience I had left me looking forward to my next visit. I am very happy to see a business striving for excellence in the way that Velvet Creme does. This is a place dedicated to its betterment for the satisfaction of its customers. Although the product itself can be faulted, Velvet Creme Doughnuts & Coffee has great donuts and great people running it. Therefore, I give this place four stars.
This is my second time in Velvet Cream and I dare to say that their original glazed doughnut is the best in Miami!! Delicious and chewy! However, everything else taste the same as in any doughnut shop I ever tried.
Very cool twist on old style and new modern doughnuts.I'm not a very big fan of elaborate doughnuts. I enjoy original glazed or plain with a coffee. It's a bit expensive compared to other doughnut places but still great doughnuts.
Best donuts I ever had. Nice and stuffed donuts but kind of expensive. Hot and fresh Cafe con leche. Service was ok but it can improve by saying enjoy!... Thanks for coming!... Have a great day!
This is a solid donut. The place is cute and clean although the presentation of the donuts could be better. The donuts seems kind thin and whimpy but taste good. We got the raspberry filling and the traditional glaze donut. I did not like the raspberry filling the filling tasted too fake for me, but my husband enjoyed it. I really liked the glazed donut is was light and delicious. Overall I wouldn't say travel out of your way for it but if you're near little Havana it's worth popping in and having a tasty treat :)

Not as good as the original but ok
Tried two of the doughnuts, they were not good at all. 3 stars for the service, though.
I had high hopes going into velvet creme, but it was pretty mediocre.
Over hyped in my humble opinion. Good donuts, friendly staff.
It was ok. Not bad, not good. Prices start at $2 which is more than what is shown online. The doughnuts were also smaller than what I expected. The place is cool though.
I ordered a strawberry milkshake it was good. The idea of a paper straw sucks. I ordered 6 donuts none of them were for my taste buds honestly I would probably go back for a milkshake not for donuts.
Was really looking forward to the renowned Velvet Creme, but unfortunately, I was disappointed. The donuts were dry and lacking in flavor and structure. I was intrigued by the coconut donut upon sight, but confused when I couldn't taste any coconut at all. The cake donuts were the driest and the filled ones cave in when taking a bite. The only redeeming factor was not a donut at all, but instead the coffee. Maybe it has become obsolete among the greater competition of tasteful donuts in Miami.

Dry and flavourless doughnuts - wouldn't recommend
Basic flavors with over processed jelly.
They have raised prices a lot. $4.00 for a single Nutella doughnut, really? On Calle 8? You can buy a pound of Nutella at Costco for $4.00. Has become a tourist trap.
Doughnuts weren't the best. Small and simple flavored. Came in at 9 a.m. and all the doughnuts were old looking and not fresh. Multiple flavors but only one doughnut available in each flavor, which also lead me to think they weren't fresh. Ordered a glaze and was not impressed. The cappuccino was terrible too. It was basically a café con leche.
I was so happy to see a piece of my childhood reemerge when I found out Velvet Creme was coming back. However, I was highly disappointed. I didn't expect the donuts to taste exactly the same. But I didn't expect them to be dry and stale either. Sadly, I would take a Dunkin Donut anytime over these. Not to mention the location isn't the best.
pretty shocked at the high star level. very disappointed in this place. Have gone three times and all times the doughnuts are no good. They are like Krispy Kreme, but frankly not as good. The coffee is the worst donut shop coffee I have ever had. Also, not sure if the setup has been fixed but ordering is a nightmare. The donuts are hardly labeled so you have to peer through the donuts to the donut picker to ask what they are and place the order, rather than them having the staff between you and the donut so they can see both like at Dunkin.
I ordered from here on Uber eats, was super excited to get a strawberry banana smoothie but was very disappointed with the quality of the item I ordered. It was a too bright pink color, which initially threw me off, but I decided flavor was the most important factor. This smoothie tasted like straight up candy - skittles or pixie sticks, I detected no actual health benefits or fruit in it. If this is really just a sugar bomb it should be advertised as so and not a strawberry banana smoothie. Couldn’t even tolerate more than one sip and threw the 2 $6 smoothies I ordered in the trash.

Was a new weekend ritual. Guava and Dulce de Leche. But today I was inconveniencing the person at the counter. Other places, other doughnuts. 👋
The cashier was very rude. They didn’t have a variety of donuts as they should. The donuts weren’t even that good.
WORST PLACE FOR DONUTS.DON'T GO THERE .THE DONUTS ARE HARD.the donuts are dry no flavor.
I Remember Velvet Cream from the old days. Not the same. If they were fresh maybe. But even if fresh the amount of cream inside was not the same! Don't mind spending $32.10 for a dozen if they are fresh.
Tourist trap very disappointing they raised the price on purpose probably and don’t go you’ll end up spending 8 dollars for a rock brownie small and cold Really not worth it. Also the donuts are really nasty and not worth the money you pay for it’s overrated.
The milkshakes where one price yesterday and all of a sudden they double the price , bad way to start a business in my opinion. the only promotional items where the souvenirs only dont try and take me for a fool. all the menu has the same price except that one item .
To be fair to my taste buds and to the shop, I may have just had a bad experience. Let this be the level of excellence or the management of this distinguished and “world famous” establishment. However, the waitress was hardly receptive to a group of four customers. The other waiter who was simply “chilling,” as one would normally take part in when they’re making themselves useless, while the other waitress was attending us. As my father always tells me, “there is always something to be done when serving others.” Now, we shall talk about the most important and crucial aspect of a restaurant, the food. If the food is good in a place that acts as an embassy for a hungry stomach, it can be the saving grace but, the food was terrible. Terrible at best, should I mention. I ordered the custard donut. The presentation was just undesirable. I wish I didn’t have to talk about the taste but my heart tells me it’s the only way to dispose of the wretched flavor. To be frank, as frank as one can be, the donut simply tasted like chicken. The custard tasted like sour dough. The bread tasted like a mound of sugar. I wish I could have my saliva back. Me and my group all agreed that this world famous establishment was far from world famous. In fact, I wish it wasn’t in the world at all. At least not in my neighborhood Calle 8. A paying customer, Jonathan DelaRocha
The Velvet Creme Donuts that returned were nowhere near the taste of the originals. The new donuts were heavy and dense. The filling inside the round John's were nonexistent. Sometimes changing the original recipe doesn't work. I was not surprised when they closed.
