Millbrae Kebabs & Gyros

First time to Millbrae Kabobs and Gyros. Great food and great customer service. They take extra time to plate your food and make sure is perfect before it's sent out. If anyone is ever in the area and looking for a great Mediterranean Restaurant Millbrae Kabobs will not disappoint!

The kebabs were so good, I don't think I've ever had kebabs that even came close to these. We came in kind of late but they were still friendly and served us a lovely meal. The hummus was flavorful and had depth, usually garlic is overpowering but not here. Even the dressing on the salad was delicious. I wish we lived closer.

I live in SF and have been in the area for couple of decades. Middle eastern cuisine is one of my favorites and the quest for the perfect shawarma has become an obsession of sorts. A lot of places put gyro meat in lavash bread and call it a shawarma, but if you’ve been to a shawarmas motherland you’d realize that is a sheep in a wolfs clothing. When I inspected the meat of the spit I suspected that I was in for a surprise. Not me and my girlfriend ordered the same dish…the beef and lamb plate. It was the closest to shawarma meat than I’ve had west of Lebanon (though I haven’t been to Detroit where I hear they know what it’s about). Erjohn is passionate about his food and it did not disappoint. We also ordered the baklava, and it was very fresh and totally hit the spot. I’m so happy to give 5stars for the food and service. It’s also ver clean if I could provide 5+ stars, I certainly would have.

The place is clean, and they have a lovely little patio to dine in. The Owner cares about who delivers his culinary meals. We are humbled to be part of DoorDash, and the confidence DoorDash has in sending our team to handle delicate orders from upscale eateries. I was staying nearby for a night before flying out of SFO and stumbled upon this place. It was a surprisingly fantastic experience. The food was delicious, service was genuine and kind, the atmosphere was friendly and comfortable. I will make an effort to go back when I am in the area again, highly recommend!!

Such a delicious meal, we recommend the mezze plate and beef gyro plate. You need to get the sangria with them! E is the best, he took great care of us.

I had the lamb/beef gyro plate, which came with rice, salad and pita and I’m writing this because I’m very well versed in Mediterranean food, and this is some truly top notch food. White rice can be bland but this one was flavorful, the salad was well seasoned, as was the meat and the pita was the absolute best I’ve had in years. Delicious.

The gyro plates are great! I had to do to go but the atmosphere is nice. I'm out of town so I can only imagine how good everything else is.

Simply amazing! Perfect seasoning and super flexible options. The seasoning level is lighter than most other places selling gyros which in my opinion makes it taste more authentic and let's you get more of a wholesome outdoor grill vibe from the food. This place serves organic meat too (⁠ﾉ⁠*⁠0⁠*⁠)⁠ﾉ I asked for grilled vegetables (generous amounts of onions, pepper, tomato were provided) and fries instead of what's usually offered on the chicken gyros plate. 🤌🤌🤌

Meat is always packed with juice and flavor, and the rice is also a standout. On top of that, service is always friendly and welcoming. Definitely a place I’ll always return to.

Ordered the combo gyros plate and chicken kebab plate. The combo came with beef and chicken, a salad, rice, pita bead and hummus. Meats were very tasty and not dry. Salad is very good with the sauce. Rice has good aroma and taste. Pita bread was good with the hummus. The chicken kabab had a nice charred flavor and was moist. Overall, price is good, place is clean and food is very good.

Been here a couple times and every time I come the food never fails to satisfy and keep me satiated. I get the beef kebab plate and the kebabs are so good! Not dry and very tender. Comes with pita bread which is always warm and soft. The salad is so refreshing paired with everything else on the plate. 10/10 would highly recommend to anyone!!

Feb 3rd 2026 this was my first time trying this place, and honestly I’m glad I gave it a try! The space is very clean, welcoming, well decorated, and beautifully colored. The seating plan is well thought out and the music added a captivating energy to the atmosphere of the place. The service is also top. The man who helped me and all the other several customers during my visit here was super kind and it was easy to tell that he had a lot of pride in the place and lit up everyone’s day with his kind energy. He even went out of his way to help me connect to the Wi-Fi, which this is isn’t really the place to do work I noticed, but he was still very kind enough to help me connect which I was very appreciative of. He has a great relationship with all of the regulars too. Throughout my time dining in, I probably saw about 10 regulars and everyone of them were happy to see the man. From their interactions, I was able to tell that there is a genuine relationship between the customers and the man as he greeted each one of them with great energy and enthusiasm. It was all smiles. He was like this with other customers as well, who didn’t seem to be regulars. Oh yeah I forgot to talk about the food! If you are wondering if I recommend the food, I highly recommend! I had the falafel plate and added a side salad. It hit the spot! I wanted to try something else on the menu so I then asked for a bowl of the chicken soup… it came with a lemon wedge and pieces of pita bread. This dish also hit the spot! It was delicious… I will definitely be coming back to try more of the menu, especially different kebabs and gyros. If you are considering giving this place a try, I would say you will not be disappointed at all. 100% guarantee this place will satisfy not only your appetite, but will also leave all other senses elevated from the uplifting vibes of the restaurant. Food is always great. Good size portions. I always get the chicken kabob and it's always juicy. My husband had the hamburger tonight and said it was great.

Tried to eat lunch here today and specifically asked if the kebab plate was gluten free. I asked if the rice had pasta in it and was assured that it was fine. We get home, I’m excited to eat and lo and behold - there is pasta in the rice and now I don’t feel safe eating this food. Allergen friends beware! Two stars because my husband said his food was pretty good.

I was his regular customer (4 times) for late dinner until tonight. Food 2 star: I order kale salad come with no dressing that is 0 star. The lentils it was ok so for that 2 stars Customer service: well let’s start when I walked in (the guy on the pic) he said to his worker ohh the “pendejo” (the nicest I can put it, “Stupid)” is here. He think I don’t speak Spanish. But I let it go thinking maybe he was talking to someone else. Then when he was bringing my food, he was looking for me and said where is pendejo? Calling unnecessary name and I never have any bad personal problem with him. You may still have a bad food, it happen sometimes. But to insults his customer and calling bad Name... I can’t support business with bad moral! crees que no entiendo español ? “pendejo”

Please be very careful when you go to this restaurant. I went there with my family and we made a purchase that was almost $80. My kids initially wanted it to go, but then when we all got there, we changed our mind and decided to eat in. The restaurant owner essentially kicked us out of the store And cited the fact that it is his policy and that he DOES NOT CARE OF WE DONT COME BACK! The food is fine for a restaurant like this, but certainly does not stand out in any way to justify this type of behavior. Just a quick update after the response from the owner: Mr Ercan, thank you for the reminder about lying. I simply stated facts. I would encourage readers of this review to search through the other negative reviews to see people saying the exact same thing. It is beneath me to insult anyone else by calling them a liar. I will leave it up to the reader of this review to do due diligence and fact check if others have reported the same thing. Then, you can make your own decision.

Just a bad experience all the way around. I think the owner should get to know about ApplePay if he’s gonna use it. In addition, if he wants to keep his business open, he should start appreciating every customer. Because there’s a lot of gyros places opening and around, and next time I’m not choosing his place.
