Love this place. Always have. But, once in awhile it always seems they miss count an order. In the past I would count as they would and have caught a mistake but recently with Covid I don't check till I am in the car and they got me. But hey, I call it an extra tip as we love the buns and dumplings.
Dim sum while social distancing? Yes please! This place was always mainly a take out place and have remained open during the lockdown. Their dim sum is really tasty. I particularly like the pork Shu-mai (pork dumplings) and Xian Shui Jiao (fried crispy glutinous pork dumpling). Oh, they are reasonably priced too. Around $3 for each three piece dish.
Awesome eggy custard egg tarts (don tats) when they come hot from the oven. They are just perfect. But don't over-buy, because they are really only meant for that day. They make authenric, great tasting taro root dumplings (wu gok) and glutinous rice dumplings (hom sui gok). The rest, shrimp ha gow and pork and beef siew mie are good and standard, as i would want. But the above 3 make driving to the Dixon Landing Store worth while. They have a sister store in Fremont at the Lion Market at Newpark Mall, but i prefer the taste here in Milpitas better.
Best Dim Sum. We drive all the way from South San Jose to come here in Milpitas location. Found out they have other locations in East San Jose. Definitely will check it out. My favorite here is the Pork & Egg porridge. Thank you.
The dim sum was pretty good and affordable (cheap!). The shaomai was stuffed with lots of ingredients. We would definitely come back again when we what to have some dim sum!
Absolutely fantastic! Any time I'm in the area I stop by here for the pork buns and shrimp dumplings. There's always a line, so look at the menu beforehand and order fast!
Typical Chinese dim sum to-go place. Their pan fried noodles, shumai, baked pork buns, to name a few are very tasty. My favorite sweet bun they make is the sweet taro buns, especially when they’re fresh from the oven… SO GOOOOOOD!!
This place has been my favorite take out dim sum place for years. Nearly everything is worth a try and in reasonable price. My personal favorite is its peanut rice dumpling, they don’t always have the item so you’ll need some luck if you’d like to try it. Though the food is fine but often times wait in long line the staffs are very busy.
The place was manned by an over-half-a-decade old-looking Chinese lady who wants me to buy the whole store! Haha. I would if I could eat them all. It’s just different kinds of temptation- fried, steamed, sautéed and baked. There were even trays of extra goodies on a table ready to be picked unlike the ones behind the glass counters that the lady wanted to immediately part with. At first, I thought of buying the congee and steamed buns but I settled with shrimp tofu, shrimp balls surrounded with crispy noodles, a couple of egg tarts and bread with sesame seeds. She was gesturing like annoyed that I don’t know what I’m missing with the mochi by the register and that I should ask her to pack another two orders of the sweet delicacy. I said, “Next time!”. I’ll even add a taro bun! Their dumplings double the size of the ones served in specialty restaurants was enjoyed at home by my two teens. Sure, these deep fried goodies are not good for you, but I do enjoy consuming these items once in a while. And true to promise, I will go back and buy the other ones I haven’t tasted yet.
Best kept secret this side of the City without going to Chinatown SF or Oakland. Never had any issues with service as they have always been very nice. If you’re looking for a quick spot for dimsum then this is the place. It’s best if you take your food and eat elsewhere as they only have two small tables but can get busy at times so you’re right in the middle eating while else is in line. Everything is delicious. From the barbecue pork buns, red bean sesame balls, crab rangoon, siu mai, everything… all good!
Good food for a reasonable price, but I am not sure if their prices are updated because the math isn't mathing. Dimsum Lunch: 10.99 Chive Dumpling: 4.7 Egg Tart: 1.7 x 2 Chicken Feet: 5.14 Subtotal: 24.23 I paid: 25.98 Was there a container price or tax or something I am forgetting??
Affordable a-la-carte dimsum! Have all the basics (shrimp har gow, radish cake, soy sauce noodles, xiu Mai, sticky rice and the likes!) Cashiers speak English so don’t be afraid to ask around and try something new. Food is pretty good and nice to take out. Lots of local Chinese elderly and customers so you know it’s their go to spot in the area.
The shumai are tasty. They have good buns too. I like to buy the prebagged ones they have ready in their fridge. They're great to have in your freezer for when you need something to go with a quick packaged ramen dinner.
Great food, good price. Cannot compare price with SF China Town branch. Always busy at lunchtime Edited: new price on 11/09/2021
12/23 has the best egg tart. 2nd best char sui bao
Delicious dim sum store. My favorite items include egg tar, chow mein and sticky rice chicken.

Best Shu Mai I've ever had. Good portion and good price.
Food was great and always affordable. Price went up a little but everywhere does. Love their dim sum and noodles. Will definitely be back
Tho their price went up quite a bit in the past 3 years. The quality is still good and the food is delicious, especially their egg tart and siu mai.
Great authentic food! Service is great if you speak their language. If you speak english, not so much. It is still worth it because of the food!
Rude front counter lady ✅ Authentic Dimsum ✅ Dining tables used as storage ✅ An authentic canto dimsun experience. Just missing some cussing and yelling at the cook in the back. Lunch combo fantastic.
been coming here for years since i was a kid with my mom, its always had good food and good prices. some items are oily but delicious. the staff are not very talkative, but they have always been very fast and overall nice people whenever I go. Not a lot of seating, more of a to-go restaurant. I feel some items stand out more, the fried shrimp balls and the chive balls are my favorite

Small, dingy, grumpy ah ma behind the counter. Reminds me exactly of Hong kong! Lunch specials are a great deal. Portions are huge. Quality is definitely far from restaurant grade dim sum, but for the price, it is decent.
If you a looking for a nice and cheap dim sum place. This should be it. Its taste is not the top-tier one. But what could you complain about when looking at its price.
Honest truth is that it's sad this is the only place that sells dim sum in the morning at 8:30am but don't go there once it opens cuz you will get the left overs from last night, yuk. I miss NY and Cali really sucks big time and don't live near here cuz two chemicals factories are just about 2 miles away which is a water and garbage facility. It stinks living near here and/or if you drive by on the 880.
We came here to buy some dim sum and egg custards! The place is no-frills, and lacking in decor, but it does remind me of visiting a similar shop in Chinatown Oakland! Prices were good for what is available. Food was fine! Service was good from the lady serving us and packing our selection to go.
The good: A small mostly to-go dim sum shop in a Milpitas, California strip mall. The food is consistent in freshness and taste. Delicious shumai dumplings, buns, and desserts including custard and coconut breads. The line moves fairly quickly unless you get the occasional indecisive customer. The bad: The cashier has never smiled in the many visits I've made, and they can be a bit impatient at times. Getting a Thank You is a rarity. They should get rid of the grab-your-own loose plastic utensils and napkins box to promote cleanliness, and instead provide pre-packaged wrapped options.
Love the Chinese buns and ready made Dim Sum dishes here. Very authentic. Wish I could read or speak Chinese to order some of the dishes that I see others with. They do have a few tables in the shop, but not really a good place to sit down to eat. Still love the food for take out.
A popular place for dim sum take out. There are many choices and the price is very reasonable. Most of the items taste good. The deep fried shrimp crescents are better than the shrimp balls.
Friendly staff I think can be hit or miss. We like the BBQ pork bun and the egg tarts. But we won’t get the Sui Mei again
Good tim sum. The baked char siew pow (sweet barbecue pork buns) is nice. Siew Mai is very meaty. Noodles, thin or flat ones not too bad. The century year old porridge (congee) is very meaty, an 8/10 rating. A repeat if in the area. 2024-DEC-15
Great dim sum to-go for very good price. Plenty of parking but not very suitable for dine-in due to lack of space. A lot of items are in the dispkay cases but majority are not. As such, and in a lot of cases when it is crowded, it is good to know what you are getting before arriving. My favorite item is the egg custard and imo it's better than the famous Golden Phoenix in San Francisco because this has a thick flaky crust rather than a thin phillo dough crust. Quality of ither items are much better than ones sold in SF Chinatown.
They've cleaned up the place a bit since I was here. More seating, new equipment. If you want the popular items like egg tarts, shrimp or beef rice rolls, or chow fun, come early. They sell out and often do not make more for the evening.

Reasonable price and decent quality for the lunch special.
Got the lunch special #1, which is a fantastic deal of $12 (cash, a little more if you use card) for a big bowl of congee, two steamed pork buns, 2 shumai, and 2 shrimp dumplings. The dumplings and congee was fine. Steamed buns are skimpy on the filling but flavor is there. Come here for the lunch deal or if you value quantity, quality and flavor is average.

Credit card fee is 3% & minimum purchase to use c.c. is $20. Always ask for the receipt & check before you leave the store (cashier might over charge when order is long, line is long...).
Decent dim sum for the price in this area, but often have to wait in a long line. We order steam pork buns, siu mai, har gow, daikon cake, and more depending on the day and availability. The dim sum is sometimes over cooked or rubbery and the flavor lacks anything special compared to din tai fung or other dim sum locations in San Jose.

I was pointing out to the lady that I wanted a order of cocktail bun, When I was about to pay i noticed it was not what I asked for, when I pointed out to her what I wanted she the had a rude attitude toward me and gave me the correct item. The food is okay Just the cashier is rude.
This used to be my go to place for dim sum. But prices have increased tremendously ( which I understand). However, the size of each item has dramatically decreased. Each dumpling is almost half the size it used to be. The cocktail buns are too. I understand increasing prices, but shrinking the size too? It might be too much at once...might consider finding a new dim sum place.
Bought a Dozen BBQ baked Pork buns this morning from this place. Usually it’s good, but this time they sold me an imperfect pork buns! And the dough is missing some flavor at this time! So not the buns that I usually buy from them!
This place is dirty and the service is rude. The lady dropped the food on the floor and still gave it to me. No way! I will not be back ever. The worst service I ever had. They need to be investigated by the health department. Just awful 🤮 Make sure you check your order before you leave because they will cheat you on the amount and will cheat you on your change. I plan to notify the IRS and Franchise Tax Board as I saw transactions not entered into the cash register.
Very bad service. They ignored you and took order from people behind you first. When you questioned them why they ignored you, and they gave you attitude. When you asked why they had such attitude toward customers, then they started shouting at you. The container they keep cooked baos are super dirty that it looked like they never clean it.
Cashier lady was extremely rude. I would give her zero if I could. When we were ordering (with no one behind us), she kept on saying be quick, be quick. When we finished and asked her where to dump the plates, she kept on saying why you cannot find it rather than pointing towards the trash can.
WATCH OUT FOR YOUR MONEY! I recently moved to the area and went to this place for some take outs. It’s cash only without receipts. The first time I went I suspected they over charged me, but the cashier lady kept pressing me to leave as a long line behind me. I gave in and later found she double charged two items. The 2nd time I was told to pay around $50 at the cashier. I asked the lady to count items one by one for me as this time I wouldn’t give in for the crowds. She finally said oops she double charged me a $3 item. But when I pulled out the calculator on my phone to start adding numbers together, guess what? It is more than $12 that she overcharged me. I got my $12 back. I was also told by some local friends that this place intentionally miscalculates the total to charge customers more when they’ve already raised the price a lot. Be cautious if you ever buy things here.
I used to visit this place often when I worked near by. I stopped by here few days ago and I was kind of in shock and very disappointed by their quality now. Not only it was the first time that I tasted half cooked shrimp in shumai, all their shumai and dumplings left a floury texture in my mouth like something didn't get mixed well enough. I don't usually leave negative review, but the food was so bad that I feel I have say something. The lady(possibly the owner) also kept pushing me to buy more food which was another turnoff. Half of my food was wasted. Sad 😢
The worst experience I ever had in my life. Inside the restaurant, it was too dirty and unorganized. The food tastes were not good. And the cashier lady was so rude and cranky while I ordered the food. I don't speak Chinese and don't eat pork, so while I was asking her about the food and ingredients in English, she became mad at me. It was a super insulting and bad experience for me in California 😞 Here are my ratings: Food : 3/5 Cleanliness: 0/5 Food price: 4.4/5 Customers service: 0/5 Definitely, I’ll not come back here again. Please be friendly and polite with your customer.
HAIR IN THE PORRIDGE (第二次在粥里吃到头发了!) This is my SECOND time discovering HAIR in the porridge from this place!GROSS! The first time was more than a year ago and the woman who seemed to be the boss was really rude! Therefore, I'd decided to avoid this terrible place, but today I was in the area and saw some people waiting in line for dim sum, so I thought they might have improved and decided to take my risk, and of course, there was freakin' hair AGAIN!!! You would think they have taken more safety procedures during COVID, but obviously not! THE WORST AND DIRTIEST DIM SUM PLACE IN THE AREA.
