Mimi’s is such a lovely place where I’ve been able to gather with friends and family & receive spectacular service. Zaida is beyond special! She consistently anticipates needs and is just a lovely presence at Mimi’s. This place is family/kid friendly as well - highly recommend this location if you are looking for a great brunch, lunch or dinner.

Mimi's Café in Monrovia is great cozy and family place to have the most delicious breakfast and lunch. One of the main reason also we go back there many times is Pedro who is so friendly and polite and serve us the best food and fresh coffee. He is very fast and food is hot and nothing to worry. Easy place with him to have a great time.

We have breakfast at this Mimi's once or twice a month and every visit is always a very warm and pleasant experience. Today our server Zaida was very kind and attentive. The food came out exactly as we ordered and the food tasted wonderful. Thank you Zaida for making our Saturday morning breakfast so wonderful.

This is a wonderful cafe with an amazing French vibe! The staff was super quick to attend us, shoutout to Andre Tafur for being awesome ✨. One of my friends could only eat gluten-free food, and they totally accommodated that. The service? So friendly and fast! And the food? It was sooooooo good. I hope to eat there again soon!

Today me and my 3 friends came to Mimi’s and it was a great experience! Our server Kevin was a quick server and brought our drinks and coffee’s out in under a minute which is what we like! The food was hot and our coffee mugs kept getting refilled with hot coffee. Our bellies were full not to mention satisfied. Excellent service, food and ambience I love it here! Great job Mimi’s

It was a rainy day and we felt like having some French onion soup so we went to Mimi’s Cafe. Like always the French onion soup was delicious as well as other dishes. Good service.

I would rate this location with 5 stars for their food, service and atmosphere in the cafe!!! We have been holding our Kiwanis Club of Fil-Am meetings here every month and we are always impressed with their service! We have a favorite server named Kevin - he is always so attentive and respectful. That is a plus in choosing a place to hold meetings! We always come in with our room already set, with utensils ready and they always serve us promptly. The food variety is great and there is so much to choose from, with new menu additions always welcome! I have some menu favorites but I would say that their food is mostly delicious and appetizing. We enjoy ordering food during our meeting and eating them as we discuss! I would consider the atmosphere warm and cozy - as our Club members feel like this is our home! I would not pick a better place to hold our Kiwanis meetings! Thank you Mimi's! Special thanks to Ramiro and Kevin for their service!

Came in hungry, left happy—and only slightly older! The food here is always good, which is important, because at my age, I need consistency. If I wanted surprises, I’d open a mystery-flavored jelly bean. Tastes just like I remember… probably because I’ve been coming since dinosaurs roamed (or at least since flip phones). Shoutout to my waitress, Zaida—she was so great, I almost asked if she’d adopt me. Friendly, fast, and somehow understood my jokes without rolling her eyes (too much). Will definitely be back—unless I forget where I parked, in which case I’ll be here permanently.

My son and I came to Mimi's Cafe for breakfast, it was our first time at this restaurant. Our experience from the beginning was awesome. As soon as we walked in we were seated. The coffee was definently restuarant quality, and our server was outstanding, I don't recall his name, he was a Hispanic gentleman in his forties. He never allowed for my cup to get empty. My son ordered the savory breakfast bowl, and he just loved it. I ordered a breakfast platter. Eggs over medium, potatoes, sausage with wheat toast. It was cooked to perfection. If you expect good food, great service and reasonable prices, this the place to go.

John, our server, went above and beyond to help us navigate the menu and made some great recommendations. I ordered the chicken with garlic spinach, and it was absolutely delicious—perfectly cooked and full of flavor. We arrived about 20 minutes before closing at their 9pm close time. The host said it would be a limited menu available since their kitchen was starting to close up. I appreciated the news upfront and we decided to stay. Seated right away and server quickly came out. He explained if we ordered right then he could have the kitchen make whatever we wanted. We only needed a light bite so got the corn chowder by the cup, side of French bread and for dessert a delicious bread pudding. Everything was tasty and server was extremely friendly and quick to serve.

Great food at a reasonable price, with friendly service in a warm atmosphere. When the server asks if you want toast or muffin with your meal, say muffin! They are huge, warm, and delicious! The potato cake benedict is a great riff on a classic, I would definitely get it again. The bloody Mary is tasty and picturesque. My brother got the bacon avocado omelette which did not disappoint.

Had a pleasant experience here with a group of 10 people. We made a reservation about a week and a half in advance. Everything went smoothly! Plenty of parking, huge selection of food to choose from in the menu, and friendly servers. Pricing is average. Ordered a side or the french onion soup and it was delicious! But the real star was the french toast!! It tasted like a mix of french toast and a cinnamon roll, it was DELICIOUS!!! It is very sweet but I like that level of sweetness so I was ok with it. I would definitely come back for it! To top it off, our waitress went above and beyond and gave us all separate checks without us even asking. I was amazed and very grateful! A wonderful place to meet with big groups!! Most restaurants won’t separate the checks like that.

There are plenty of comfy booths to sit in. We came for lunch and the food was stellar. Great quality and large portions. I had the turkey pesto sandwich and vanilla cappuccino with oat milk. I always enjoy coming to Mimi's Cafe. All the staff have been super friendly over the years. The food is always delicious. I love the look of the building. I wish more people would go though. I don't know about breakfast time, but lunch and dinner aren't terribly busy most of the time I've gone or walked by the place. So, you should never have much of an issue getting a seat. There is a bar with seating as well along with a meeting room area. I know during the week, there's usually some sort of social gathering in that room. I've seen some painting classes before, some wine tasting classes, and other small events. The menu is a decent size. My go to item is a burger called the French Quarter Burger. Basically a bacon hamburger, but on a cheesy sourdough bun with avocado. Delicious. I often grab a cup of French Onion soup because it isn't too salty like I've had at several other restaurants in the past. There is usually an insert menu with seasonal/limited time offerings. Currently, as of January 1st 2026, it's items with birria beef and sauce like a birria omelet. During autumn, there are a lot of pumpkin/pumpkin spice items. My one issue is you're supposed to get a little bread basket when you go with a couple slices of a baguette and a carrot muffin thing, but there never offer it. I was offered the bread once in the last two years. There's a small section on the menu that mentions a charge for wanting double the carrot things. So, I think there's a cost saving thing happening, or they just don't want to put the baskets together for people.

The first visit we went for lunch which was quite good, but the second visit we ordered egg dishes and they just didn't taste that great.. there's plenty of local restaurants that offer better quality food, but this was close to our hotel. The waitresses were very polite and attentive, and the Apple crisp we had at lunchtime was delicious.

We were there for lunch yesterday. I ordered their lunch mix and match special, corn chowder, reuben sandwich with fries. Somehow they served me with ham and chicken sandwich. I didnt realize until I almost finished it. the sandwich was tasty and It's all good! I'm sure they will be glad to exchange it for me if I asked. Therefore, 4 star given to them.

Eggs Benedict was delicious. Denver Omelet was made to order, so we're grateful for the accommodations.

The place was nice and quaint while we enjoyed a lunch consisting of chicken pot pie (that needed a little salt added to it but was pretty good without it) and some smoked salmon eggs Benedict which were very good. There was only one server but he was on top of things for the most part. Overall I think it was a nice little dinner, good atmosphere and food.

Worst corned beef hash that I have ever eaten. Long, stringy, dry tough strands of corned beef mixed with uncooked scallions. Absolutely horrible, tasted like it came from a can. Also food was not hot, probably due to being severely understaffed, only one waiter to serve restaurant that was more than half full. He was great, considering.

The food has really gone downhill. I remember it being much better. I got the bacon tasted and felt a day old. The chicken and waffles were cold and. The omelet was the better meal served, but the amount of meat and cheese was lacking. The service was great and attentive! And the place was clean and nice. I haven’t been to this Mimi’s location in a few years and I was so disappointed in its service and in how rundown it looked inside. There was no one in the front when we walked in and had to wait a few minutes for someone to notice us and seat us. Our server was very kind, however I could tell that there wasn’t enough servers and after taking our order we never saw her again. The manager brought out our food and never again did anyone check up on us. I had a hard time getting a box and had to ask twice for our bill. Very disappointed! The food was good per usual but not worth coming again. Would highly recommend going to a different location.

It's a pretty well known restaurant that has been around for decades. Its french based but don't be expecting authentic french cuisine, especially if you have experienced France. Its outdated but pleasant.. the booth we were in was extremely uncomfortable, like all the springs were broken. Its a good place for a change... but looks like it needs a facelift. Staff were nice.. it was dead 10 people max.. 8 o'clock on a Monday. Nothing to get excited about... but worth a visit

Took my mother-in-law for breakfast and she said her bacon looked like it had been cooked the day before and was hard. The eggs were... eggs. Hard to mess that up. My bacon, ham, and sausage omelet had more tomatoes and cheese than meat. Our meal came with roasted potatoes that were cold. Like they cooked up a bunch, and it sat there. The blueberry muffin was good. We came at 9am the day before Mother's Day and it was empty. Guess now I know why. It has gone down. We tried, but we will go somewhere else next time.

Not a great experience. We actually traveled 30+ miles to get here for lunch. Service was fine and it’s a cute little place to eat but the food arrived cold on both plates. One plate got taken back and was flash heated - the turkey - when it came back out it was okay, but certainly nothing special. The second plate got taken back and remade - a burger. But unfortunately, by the time all of this happened, we were out of time and had to leave. In fairness, the waitress did take the burger off the check and we took it to go, but of course, the whole experience wasn’t exactly what we’d hoped for. The food was obviously cooked properly, it was just somehow forgotten about and by the time we got it, it was cold. It happens, but let’s be honest you go there for one thing, good food that is served in a relatively quick timeframe, and it should obviously be hot. In that respect they didn’t meet expectations today.

It's fine. I got Steak n Eggs...steak had a lot of fat and was low quality imo. For the price you'd expect better. I went for Breakfast on a Sunday. Wasn't too busy but they did forget a few things we asked for and had to remind them several times.

The food not good taste old, the only thing that I like was the corn chowder, I ask for mango tea and when the lady give me a refill she didn’t ask just fill the cup with plan iced tea not good!!

The service was okay suddenly the server was his first time and confused our orders I ordered a smoked salmon omelette instead I got a Smoked salmon Benedict. Another problem was there was a tiny plastic in the Steak and Egg poor service didn't see the plastic when it served but overall the expectations was not there for Mother's Day need to be aware what's on the plate especially what we ordered.

So I thought I was gonna be able to "let this go" but it seems as tho I couldnt. Honesty is the best policy. "Kylie" was not a very good waitress. In fact she was horrible and unkind to me. Frankly She lacked manners, and lacked professionalism. She really thought She was able to camoflouge her thinly veiled Jealousy and insecurities towards me. But alas she was not able to. And it showed. She betrayed her true colors and own nature by the way She purposely mistreated me rudely, with her wanton disregard for basic customer service and fundamental manners in her prejudiced and discriminatory treatment of me. Its no wonder the whole place is always so empty now. Because the Customer service is completely lacking. The only reason why I even gave a couple of Stars is one: the food was somewhat good (even tho it doesnt really look like the menu picture at all) in fact it looks unappetizing, unattractive lol dry and sad. And two you have a Sweet and kind manager named Ramiro who handled my grievance really well when I spoke to him. In conclusion take heed of the reviews. I promise you, its with good reason. God knows how many customers this waitress treats this way. Perhaps Im the first one to bring it to your attention. It seems as tho She picks and chooses who she's going to be "nice" to, Particularly Men haha coz I saw and heard her being all flirty, and giggly, kee-hee-ing and laughing it up with the boys. Unacceptable lol Just remember the old adage in the Restaurant business: You come for the food, but you come back for the service. And the service was most def lacking. And I couldnt be more HONEST about it. Sorry.

I’ve had so many great experiences at Mimi’s Cafe in the past and unfortunately this was an exception. The staff are friendly but not very attentive, when the poached eggs on our eggs Benedict meals were hard boiled it took over 20 minutes for the server to check back with us to see realize he forgot to request freshly poached eggs from the kitchen. At that point the other members of the table had already finished their meals. Fortunately, the manager was thoughtful enough to credit back the cost of the food.

Service, great. My issue here is the food quality. If you have a four top, that steak should be the first thing down so it has time to rest and not bleeding all over my eggs. If that wasn’t the issue it was the steak being under, twice. It’s just wasting food at that point and that’s the reason for my review.

So disappointed food was old , only one waitress working as a host, waitress and bartender! Food was so old it made us sick ! They discounted one meal that was nice! But the owner of this place needs to improve it! I will Change my review in a month when I go back

The older male waiter isn't nice and he was rushing me to order and didn't have patience to let me decide and those food served very small portions. Scattered vegetables with meatloaf 2 sides. And bread was limit and. Not what it used to be. Not great anymore.

This place was kinda of a letdown, the food was ok, their Expresso machine was down, so I asked for coffee and it cold, I asked for hotter and it tooked them so long to get back to me that I just drank the one they gave me and they forgot about my request, the lady that helped us was frowning the whole time and kept rushing is about our orders, when I asked for a cafe au lait, she picked up her hand and said "I said we have no Expresso." It was an honest mistake and I didn't Deserve the attitude. Won't be coming back.

Mimis completely ruined Thanksgiving. After working 6:30 am - 5:00 pm, we showed up at 5:20 for our 5:30 pm reservation. The person checking people in said they didn't know how long it would be, but it could be an hour to an hour and a half wait to be seated! We found out they were accepting walk-ins in addition to the reservations. We waited until 6:30 pm. At that point, my husband went inside to see where we were in line. He overheard people who had arrived at 4:00 pm for their 4:30 pm reservations who STILL had not been seated. The check-in person told him we were currently at the bottom of page 2 of people waiting to be seated. Since I have to be up at 5 am for work tomorrow and it was clear we weren't getting seated anytime soon, we just left. I am now sitting at home eating a microwavable meal. Thanks Mimi's for completely mismanaging Thanksgiving. Reservations clearly meant nothing. Walk-ins should have never been accepted if people with reservations were being made to wait several hours past their reservation time. Mimi's will never get my business ever again.

Just left the restaurant and my friend was extremely unhappy with his omelet. Served mildly warm, the top cheese was rubbery and unable to salvage as such he walked out. So take heed...don't let the food stay under heat lamps and assume it will be fine.

My husband and I decided to go to Mimi's for my birthday. Upon seating us, the hostess did not tell us our waitress' name so we didn't know how to address her. After bringing us our appetizer she left so quickly that my husband had to chase her down to tell her it was birthday (this after she already checked my I.D). When our meal did arrive and the waitress came around to check how we were doing- she did it in a passing by manner-never took the time to actual see how we were doing. When it came time for the dessert it which took a very long time the waitress appears to have forgotten the occasion. This left me a little sad so when we went to leave my husband asked another waitress if they sing happy birthday to guests which she replied yes to- the manager on duty who was standing near by asked us what was wrong and offered to do it. However at that point I was too upset by the waitress' behavior. The food was okay-the promotion they have going on is good. $12.95 for an appetizer, en-tree, and dessert. However it wasn't anything special, in fact, I liked the seasoning of the salmon at a taco place better. Presentation of the food was nice. But as far as the waitress goes- we had better service at the fast food restaurants that we went to the next day. It wasn't worth spending the money on dinner for the service we got

I walked in for breakfast and ordered French toast no powdered sugar, scrambled eggs, bacon and coffee. It took 10 minutes for someone to take my order and another 10 minutes to get my coffee. About 15 minutes later, I get my order of French toast with the sugar on top, my eggs were brown because they were over cooked. They weren't even busy.

We waited for a long time to be seated not knowing why our name was crossed out. They didn't even apologize. The person who was waiting for us didn't even let us ask questions about the food. Our food was cold. Will not come back.

Mimis is dear to my heart. So this is for managers to pay attention. We ordered a coffee, two waters, turkey dinner, kids waffles, and my favorite French onion soup...food came and it was downhill. The turkey was cold (so now i know it's microwaved). The waffles were very extra extra crispy. The waters never came, and my soup never came either. The waitress did heat up the turkey, replaced the burnt waffles for fresh ones, brought 1 cup of water, and took the soup off the bill. The experience was still disappointing. Maybe on a busy Sunday staff more servers. Or have a checklist for them so the kitchen can run more efficiently. Thank you.

Both times take out. The first time the $12 dessert was burnt and did not include the sauce which would have been the only moisture in the bread pudding. The second time was the pot pie, which looked as unappetizing as it tasted.

So disappointed I was just there today and to start off the food was gross and the waiter was so rude and attitude. If you ever go to this location do not let LUZ be your waiter that was my waiter today and it was just a nightmare We asked for our steak well done and she bought out the steak burn I would not recommend this location

This place is very good if you eat in person. I’ve been here and ordered a jambalaya and it tastes amazing, staff was nice, but the next day when I ordered to go, the jambalaya portion size was cut in half in the box. Extremely disappointed. I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend not ordering to go as ur food portion size will be cut in half and will only be enough for a 6 year old. I really hope their manager steps up and addresses this issue.
