Opinions de Daiki Sushi Monterey Park
I've been here twice with my most recent business trips. This restaurant is very clean, with a great prices. The quality of food and the price cannot be beat. The chefs treat their food with respect and love. I strongly suggest the cut rolls. They average about $6 and very filling. They do have specials each day of the week, so check them out!
Great food and excellent service. Love saba and salmon collar
Daiki Sushi is a hidden gem for Japanese food lovers in Monterey Park! The prices are very reasonable, offering excellent value for the quality. The sushi & sashimi are made fresh, with flavors that truly stand out. From their different daily specials such as $1 Salmon Sashimi's on Mondays to the generous selection of dishes for their Bento Box, Daiki Sushi is a must-try!
Excellent service and food. Will definitely come again and tell my friends
You don't know what you're missing on mondays and through weekday before 6pm. Sashimi with kings portion and 10 percent off on roles they spoil you especially when no ones around and served by a little sweet young lady with a cute smile. 😉 👍
Came here once when it first opened. The food was great but I remember the lightning was harsh and uninviting. Sounds super picky, I know. One random day, we decided to give it another try. So glad we did! We've been there twice in the last month, once with a big party. The food is more impressive than before and yes, the lightning is no longer an issue! 🙃😬 For the quality of sushi, I feel the prices are quite fair. Check out their weekday specials. They have something different going on each day, Monday - Thursday. Update in 2023: Food is still great. If you like beer, go on a Sunday! They are $1 for draft beer. Also, try the standard salmon skin roll. It kind of tastes like chicharrones! So good. 😋
Excellent sushi and sashimi at very reasonable price. My favorite is their eel sushi. The best!
Great food, fast service and efficient. Fish is fresh. We will be back!
Delicious and affordable spot in MPK. We always come here when we are craving sushi. This time I tried the Katsu and Tempura. Both were delicately crunchy and so tasty!
Sushi is so good and fresh and prices are great. Atmosphere is so relaxing. All their staff is so pleasant thank you for such great service
My favorite restaurant. Prices are incredibly good. The waiters are always nice to us and serve us our food within 5 minutes. The food quality is great. Very fresh and the sushi has a rich flavor that melts in your mouth. I don’t often review stuff but this place deserves a good review! Thank you guys so much! I’ll return here often!
It’s very good. CP value is higher than expectations.
Price here is very reasonable. I like their grilled saba and grilled salmon collar. Highly recommended.
Fresh sushi, staff is friendly and lots of specias...$1 beer on Sunday, need I say more.
This picture is of the “Deluxe Sushi Party Tray” I’ve done my research and Daiki Sushi has, by far, the best deal for party trays. If you’re not into raw fish then it’s not the best deal lol. It comes with hand rolls, sushi, sashimi, and deluxe rolls (spicy tuna roll, rainbow roll, eel roll, caterpillar roll). Buy a tray for you and another person and just sushi your brains out.
The food of This restaurant is very delicious. Good to try out .
Very delicious sushi, very attentive service and I will definitely be coming back in the future
Lunch special 2 rolls for 9.99 is good deal and great meal! Only wish that the California and Eel roll had cucumbers. Both of those rolls have a generous amount of avocado, but could use some crunch from a cucumber. The rice is well seasoned and very flavorful.
We were sat at a table quickly. The atmosphere is calm and the food was tasty. Here is a picture of the shrimp tempura roll. It was reasonably priced. They have a special on Wednesday for buy a special roll and get 1 for 50% off.
We always come here not matter weekdays or weekends. And this combination is for sure our favorite. The fireroll is really good and the sashimi tastes very fresh.
Came here for lunch today and ordered a chirashi bowl and a special roll. The special roll was 50% off the second fish on Wednesdays, which was very affordable. The fish was fresh and the roll was delicious. I will come back next time!
The food is very fresh and there are specials every week. My favorite is the salmon special on Monday, which is $1 a piece. On Sundays, there is also beer for $1 a glass, with specials on tuna and toro, which is very good!
very yummy dinner we have here. Most recommended sushi boat, avocado salad, & salmon skin salad.
This sushi restaurant is a good place to come eat lunch or dinner. The spicy tuna roll combo with chicken katsu was delicious. The soup as well. The lemonade was good. But the glass water by itself was not so great to be honest. 3 lemonade $7.50. Dinner combo was $16.95 The food was was very good. I appreciate the service here.
You can still find items on their menu under $10 with the same great taste and proper portion. I returned three times within 2 weeks to try many other items. So far, I enjoyed every order. Their Sun-Thurs daily special include $2 sake and $1 draft by glass. The selections on the lunch combo is the incentive to return. The waitress is attentive and patience. I have added this small restaurant on my favorite list. This strip plaza is sunken from the street level. It is so easy to miss the parking lot entrance. The dollar tree store sign is the landmark to see from afar.
Dodger, kings, football game are on 2 tvs. Specials on sushi everyday. Attentive staff. Always found parking. Good size piece of fish. Friendly and affordable. Cash discounts!!!
Came here for dinner last because we originally were going to go to Kaiba right down the street but they had a long wait. Saw this was open without a wait so decided to give it a try. We were pleasantly surprised with how good the food was and the presentation and plating were really good as well. Highly recommend the udon for the broth and add on shrimp tempura. The eel with shrimp roll wrapped in soy paper was really good as well. Another positive note is that, prices were very reasonable and rolls are well portioned so you don't leave hungry!
The sushi portions were extremely generous and tasty. My first time here and I ordered a Chirashi Bowl. There were multiple sashimi types on the bowl and each slice was the same size as the sushi. The bowl was just large enough to leave enough room for additional orders. Customer service was quick and staff were friendly. With a group of seven, the seats were comfortable and quick. Everybody ordered enough at a reasonable price. Highly recommend to anybody who wants a filling sushi menu and will definitely be coming back again.

Discovered a hidden gem in Monterey Park! They offer daily specials and the staff are super friendly. The fish is incredibly fresh (especially Tuna & Salmon) definitely a highlight. One quirky thing: they don’t use cucumber in any of their rolls, and most rolls come with imitation crab and avocado. Personally, I love avocado, so no complaints there 😄 If you’re into tuna and salmon rolls, this place is a must-visit!
My family and I go for dinner once a week because they have many different types of food and drinks, food is delicious and sashimi is fresh. The price is reasonable. We usually get shushi and beers.
The best sushi I’ve ever eaten in my entire life! Excellent service and great food! 100% recommend!! Very cozy, welcoming and friendly environment!
Food is fresh and incredible. We came here for lunch and everything was great in both quality and price! Definitely a hidden gem, will come back!
I found Daiki Sushi after a friend told me to check it out, and I’m so glad I did. The Monterey Roll was super fresh with the perfect mix of fish and avocado, and the Rainbow Roll was colorful, tasty, and beautifully put together. Definitely a new favorite spot!
Delicious - came here for a weeknight dinner and everything was very good. Very affordable prices. Flavors were very similar to a restaurant we frequented but sadly closed down - Hanashima. So happy to have found a restaurant with a familiar taste.
My family and I go here every week, they have specials from Mon-Thursday and Sunday. They also have a lunch and dinner special to choose 2 rolls from their regular roll menu for “$9.99” (lunch) and “10.99” (dinner). The staff here are really sweet, respectful, and welcoming. Overall, it’s a great little restaurant with some killer deals! Even $1 beers on Sundays! I mean, you can’t beat that anywhere you go!

Their regular rolls are $10 for any two regular rolls. At this price, its regular rolls is definitely a 5 star.
I come often for the $1 salmon sashimi Mondays and $14.99 unagi-don lunch special. I’ve had other items on the menu and their sushi is solid. There’s a lot of tables inside and usually no wait, but I’ve only gone during lunch time so I don’t know how dinner is.

Based on lunch showing price: sashimi quality is pretty decent. Salmon n Yellowtail are better fish than tuna. Grilled Salmon or Teriyaki beef is very flavorful. Services is very minimum. Answering questions only when asked. Not attentive or friendly. Not seeing many customers during lunch hour. Recommend food to go.
The food tastes just ok because I had better sushi elsewhere. The service was great. They give you big portions.
The fish was so good and fresh, however the rice wasn’t. The rice should not appear in any sushi restaurant , ever. Always cook new rice please! The tempura was very greasy and hard to finish them all. Service was alright.
Refused to refund me after I waited 30 min for my order, when the app said the order was already complete. I didn't want to wait for sloppy, hastily prepared food and my blood sugar was low... I equested a refund twice and then the food magically appeared. The salad was miniscule and the lid wasn't even on the dish. Tasted AWFUL. Do NOT trust bought reviews from bots from this restaurant. Not worth the time, money, or mess since it spilled everywhere without a lid on ..
If you're into high-stakes dining and enjoy playing sushi roulette, Daiki Sushi in Monterey Park might be the thrill you're looking for. Unfortunately, I wasn't. I placed an Uber Eats order and went in to pick it up. I stood there for 10 full minutes -- no greeting, no eye contact, no acknowledgment. It started to feel like I had become a ghost. Eventually, I had to flag someone down like I was trying to catch a taxi in the '90s. When they finally handed over my food, they did so with the energy of someone doing me a personal favor, not, you know, the bare minimum. Then came the real treat: the sushi. All of the raw fish was slightly warm to the touch -- not "freshly prepped" warm, but "left out in a room with no A/C for who-knows-how-long" warm. Sushi should not feel like it's been tanning. The spicy tuna? Didn't taste like fish. Looked like it had been dyed with Red 40 and shame. I took one nibble and threw it out before my immune system had time to stage a protest. And the regular tuna (or maybe it's albacore)? Thin, sad, and oddly gelatinous. It resembled a fruit roll up more than fish. Here's the part I can't wrap my head around: How has this place not been shut down? Where are these positive reviews coming from? Are we eating at the same place, or is there a secret Daiki Sushi in a parallel universe serving actual sushi? Daiki -- I don't need you to roll out the red carpet, but cold fish, basic courtesy, and not giving your customers salmonella vibes would be a great start.
