Love the live music they have on the weekends. They have a nice area for the kids to run around and you feel safe knowing they are fenced in. Buffalo chicken wrap and fried pickles are very good!
Love this place! Great live music, food, and drinks. We came right after they got their liquor license, and even though they were crazy busy, the ladies at the bar were absolutely crushing it. We will definitely be back!
We love this place for the food and entertainment. Karla Nash does a great job and the kitchen staff rocks. My favorite server is Taylor because she is sassy.
Where do I start…. The servers are amazing! There is live music almost every night. Music bingo on Tuesdays and you actually win good money. The food is phenomenal!! Lots a bar food like wings and cheese sticks. They have an amazing bbq sandwich and the burgers are the best definitely recommend the holder burger because it comes with an egg and sweet and spicy jalapeños and pickles. The owner Karla is beyond fantastic and bends over backwards for all the customers and employees. This is without a doubt my favorite place to eat!!
Fun country/cowboy atmosphere! The salad and fried pickles were fantastic! They have a nice beer and wine selection too. We'll definitely be back!
I am visiting family and we came in to eat and listen to live music. I loved it here! Such a cute atmosphere - the food was great! The service even better! The owner Karla the owner was so friendly and accommodating.
Cork This Tap That is one of those rare places that instantly makes you feel at home. From the moment you walk in, the friendly staff greets you like family, and that warm, welcoming vibe carries through your entire visit. The atmosphere is relaxed and full of community spirit — you can tell it’s a local favorite where friends gather, conversations flow easily, and everyone feels like they belong. The team goes above and beyond to make sure every guest has a great experience, and it really shows. Whether you’re stopping by for a drink, a bite, or just some good company, Cork This Tap That delivers on all fronts. It’s not just a restaurant — it’s a little slice of the neighborhood’s heart. Highly recommend!
Rustic atmosphere and very unique. Having TV'S and being able to watch football was definitely a plus. There was also live music with provided a wonderful ambiance. The food was delicious. Our server was friendly.
This is a very cool place to visit when you are in the area. We were out riding our bikes and came here on a recommendation from a friend. We were so glad we did. The staff here are very welcoming and the food we good. The staff actually took the time to visit with us and asked where we ride in from and where were we riding to. There were other groups is riders and others that were in cars it trucks also eating there. It was like one whole group of people that went there together because we all mingle and found out about each other. It was great! The food, I got the chicken fried steak, was really good. The sides even had good flavor. I have seen one or two other places that also have the customers sign and leave a dollar bill Staples to the bar somewhere, so if course that's what were did. Over all, this is a destination for the next time we are in the area riding again and can't wait to go there to eat again. In fact we are actually planning on heading this way in a could couple of weeks and take a different route to go to this place again. Hopefully we come across more people that are like the last group and want to get to know others that are also visiting this restaurant too. Finally, the name. It is very clever and a very catchy name for a restaurant / bar. Makes you want to use it with friends just for a laugh. "Cork this & tap that" love it!!
Last week we had a luncheon for 60 people after the end of life celebration for my mother. Everything was great-service & food were beyond amazing. The atmosphere for a gathering this size was perfect. Between the outside seating & indoor private room was just what our family & friends needed to congregate & celebrate my mom!!! The owner was there and happily served alongside the staff. It was great seeing teamwork in order to quickly serve everyone. We worked together before the event to have a set 6 menu items that guest ordered in advance. As guest arrived appetizers were immediately available for guest. I provided a spreadsheet in advance so they were prepared to begin serving as soon after guest arrived. Kudos to all the staff for the ease at making this event smooth, relaxing, and most importantly enjoying delicious food. The price I stated included drinks-including alcohol, appetizers, entree, dessert, tax, and tip. A great price point for an event such as this.
We had a really nice time at this place a few weekends ago. It feels like a rural Texas joint ought to feel on a Saturday night. We liked the selection of beers on tap and wines - surely something for everyone. We also liked the dog-friendly patio area where we sat (well away from everyone, but still close enough to be part of things - see photos). We appreciate places that welcome our little 10+ year old chihuahua mixes, as they like to get out of the house sometimes too! A talented young man named Nathan James was playing guitar and singing classic country tunes the night we dropped by. We made a point of cheering loudly when he finished (and even encouraged the chis to bark at him a bit, which got us scolded - felt bad about that, and apologized to the musician and his dad when chatting afterwards, but they apparently thought it was kinda cool. Clearly no harm intended, but we try to be respectful of places that allow our little ten pound "hooligans." LOL Our bad, not theirs) Anyway, we hope to get back and try the food sometime, and look forward to hanging outside again when it finally gets a little cooler. The dogs also give it a paws up!
Excellent little hidden gem with friendly staff; Chris took great care of us today. He told us the owner is originally from Wisconsin so we had to try the fried cheese curds. They were good & close to the ones my sister in law brings when they come visit (she’s from the Green Bay area). The burgers were amazing & neither of us could finish ours. The sweet tea was perfect. We even got a visit from Casanova, the unofficial mascot while enjoying the live music today.
So much to say about this hidden new gem. We had a blast! Food, fun, live music by Kenny Cooper, dance floor was on fire, not to mention beer and wine was flowing. The new owners were on the premises and interacted with the customers. The atmosphere is so relaxing and I absolutely love what they have done to this place. So it's a must go to on my list of oh the places I want you to go! Look at the photos I posted. Best of luck with this new venture. Feed them and they will come, uncork it and they will be back! I will be back with my girls!
My first time here, as we walked in we were informed to sit where ever we liked, that was nice. The atmosphere was well decorated, I really got a kick out of the shirts they had for sale. We had Fried Pickles and a Pretzel for starters. The Pickles were thicker than most and very good, the Pretzelwas humongous and great with the cheese. I got the BBQ Jumbo Stuffed Baked Potato and my buddy tried the one I was curious about, the Chicken Fried Steak Stuffed Jumbo Baked Potato. They are an IPA bar with some interesting drinks and even cooler names for some of them. On the down side, the potatoes seemed to not be done all the way through and we did inform our waitress, not in a bad way just so that they know for future purposes. The place seemed very nice and we will definitely be coming back.
I have been going every Tuesday for the last 3 months for singo bingo. It takes 45 minutes for me to get there. The last 2 times I went i was turned away because they are "too full". Given , there is plenty of seating outside and I had a spot at the table saved for me by a friend. None of this was considered before turning business away. I will not be returning. Even though its kind of pricey I like the place. I will not go that far just to be turned away. You lost a customer
Sadly disappointed, does appear a lot of their food is frozen. The veggies on the wrap and the burger were not fresh.. chicken strips were just alright also appeared frozen lots of batter as well as the chick fried steak. Atmosphere nice unfortunately we weren’t impressed with the food.
First time visiting with my wife and baby sister, Initially greeted and told to sit anywhere we like. However after sitting for 15 minutes and not one waitress came to give us a menu, water, nothing. Then when another group sat down after us they were tended to before us. Completely ignored. So we decided to leave, 4-10 experience only because your decor was nice and the first person to greet us (tall brunette) made my baby sister smile. Updated response to Carla Nash. Ma'am you greeted my party, found you on Facebook. ( Tall cowboy with the 7 year old blonde you called beautiful) You neglected to tell a server, to which if you read other reviews you'll see this isn't the first time this has happened. We were in the restaurant and one table that actually was outside that sat down after us was served first. My wife looked around and was quite vocal, she did speak up. Keep your card and do better for other guests. We will not return.
I don’t know who in their right mind thinks they have an even decent chicken fried chicken. It’s not even made in house. Most of the food isn’t. I’ve been eating here since it was Holders over a decade ago. Drive down the start to Georges and get a good burger. My whole family was sick for 12 hours after eating there. I called and communicated that the order was $100 and it was terrible. I was told “the main manager@ would call me today and offer a refund, gift card or some thing (not that we will even dine there again). This is cattle and chicken country. The wings were TERRIBLE. Clearly a frozen beef patty. I don’t understand when the resources are right there, especially as many ranchers eat there. The gravy could have been from Dairy Queen on how think it was. I literally flipped it over and it didn’t budge. Shame on y’all for even attempting to say this is country food in Montgomery TX. I’m disappointed in the food and service. Here are the pictures. The atmosphere is nice but it doesn’t make up for the crap food.
