Great local Jamaican food restaurant! I've been here many times and the food is always consistently fresh. Pic is from this morning😁
Its my first time here and friendly lady welcomed me. I got patties and a jerk chicken meal. Its so delicious and friendly service! Id definitely come back here again
Very excited to find a Caribbean restaurant nearby 😆 I was helped by Kayla with my order and she is so sweet and has a great singing voice. Anyways, my experience has been enjoyable here, you should give it a try and ask for Kayla! :D
Why have you not yet dined at this restaurant?? Came here as a recommendation from a friend of a friend. Food and everything excellent!! Had the oxtails, rice and peas, cabbage, plantains and mac and cheese… sooo good. Highly recommend.

The service was excellent and the food delicious. The server was very professional and treated me with the utmost respect even when I was slow in making a choice of the meal I wanted. Much care was taken by the server to place the meal in the bag so it was secure. I enjoyed the meal as it had all the trappings of the island seasoning I was accustomed to. I look forward to returning. Of course by then my taste buds will be calling for something else, which I am confident I will enjoy just as much. I am hooked.

It was a lovely experience, customer service was excellent. Kayla was my server and she was pleasant, service was timely and felt personalized. SS
The food is really good, Im always buying the oxtails. It's tender, well seasoned and flavorful. I also love the beef and curry patties, the dough is always fresh and full of flavor. Customers service is present here, the ladies as well as guys as soft spoken and friendly. Ill keep coming back!
Came in the girl up front greeted us . Asked what we wanted . It is very different from any other Jamaican food place I been at . Very friendly . I ordered oxtail and the small size . They put so much of it with rice and peas and plantain . Very worth it .
This is one of the few Caribbean restaurants that beat the stigma of terrible customer service. I haven’t yet had the pleasure to dine in but I avidly order on uber eats and this place consistently has amazing food and desserts. If they ever run out of or don’t have something they quickly give you a call and offer other options which is an important component in customer service. I truly appreciated that when my mom had an issue with getting the wrong order they not only took accountability but they took immediate action to correct it. I personally absolutely love their chicken or red pea soup and lemon cake. Anytime I call the staff are polite and knowledgeable and make sure you’re taken care of. They have a service and love for good food that you taste in each and every dish. Love Cravin!
Listen or rather read. On a random day I stop by I was actually headed to Richie’s, but since this was open and a I saw a few folks in there I was like why not. I got a small chicken soup and a oxtail rice & peas with plantains. The SOUP was a sensational surprise to my taste buds. The broth was thick and it was just the right amount of spice to it. I can honestly say I was shocked at how good it was. Now for the oxtails it was spicy I added my own pepper sauce, however it was well seasoned well tender not fall off the bone tender but no long chewing. For its location I can’t see the restaurant getting a lot of traffic but for those that know about it’s an easy winner. Can’t wait to try the other items cause if the oxtails is a hit everything else has to be just as good. Special shout out to the ladies in the front serving and cashing out great personalities with that touch of that infamous YARD 🇯🇲 personality. no pics of the food cause by time I remember everything was half eaten LOL.
Incredible First Experience with Jamaican Food! I walked in and was greeted with such a warm welcome! I told them it was my first time trying Jamaican food, and Kimberly went above and beyond—she gave me a sample of all the meats to help me decide. Everything was delicious, but the oxtail stood out. I got it with rice and peas, all smothered in that amazing oxtail gravy. I also tried a beef patty, plantain, and a slice of chocolate cake—both were excellent. The vibe was friendly and welcoming. I asked other customers what they recommended, and they said, “Everything is good!”—and I believe it. Everyone had something different, which says a lot. I highly recommend this place if you’re in the area. I’ll be back whenever I’m in town!
Went there today with my son. Atmosphere is very cozy, we ordered the large oxtail and the large jerk chicken with a beef patty. All excellent and delicious and generous. Will come back again for sure! This is a must visit.
I just finished my first meal from Cravin' Jamaican and have to give my ratings for this new establishment. A few days ago I was walking down the street at 8am when I happened to look over and see this restaurant with customers inside and was psyched to discover a Jamaican restaurant just minutes from where I live and even open for breakfast. My partner (who is from Jamaica) and I have been on a quest for a good Jamaican place that was close to where we live. We've traveled the lower Westchester County area and pretty much all have been just "OK". Tonight we decided to give it a try and we were happy we did. THE FOOD: We loved it. The portions were plentiful. We ordered a chicken curry meal (lunch sized portion), a curry goat meal (dinner size) and a fried chicken meal (lunch size). The meats were perfectly cooked. The rice and beans we ordered were delicious. The cabbage was good, though for my personal liking, a little bland. All in all, we score the food at 100%. THE SERVICE: Our receipt said our server's name was Kim K. So, if that's who it was, then we give 100% thumbs up for this happy, welcoming employee who had us laughing as we tried to place an order. THE AMBIENCE: This storefront is clean and inviting with three tables should you decide to eat there. Obviously this is more of a take-out place and it was certainly active while we were there. THE BOTTOM LINE: We love this place and we look forward to making this part of our weekly "Dinner Night Out" routine.
Ooooohh my Gosh, they have my favorite jamaican Ice-cream. Dragon stout, grapenut, rum and raisin and egg-nog🤗😋🤤and guess what the flavors are cris-crossed, head on over you'll never regret the burst of flavor from that fridge....oh and yes the food is awesome 😅🤣🤣🤣almost forget, and they deals with delivery drivers with respect and courtesy 👌

I just had a quick meeting at the restaurant and was treated so well by the staff, that I had to offer my A+++ review of this restaurant. Excellent customer service still exists and Cravin' Jamaican Cuisine provides service in abundance and with class and lovely smiles. I really enjoyed their delicious spicy beef patty and home made sorrel drink and will be ordering my dinner this evening from Cravin' ! Please stop in and support this local business, you will not be disappointed.
I met the most beautiful, kind, and helpful young lady who served me this morning. Her name is Kayla. She guided me with the menu. I purchased a box of patties with different stuffing, bread, and cake. My favorite is the chicken curry pattie. The food is so very delicious 😋. Home made and very clean environment. Lunch was not ready as yet. However, she offered me a piece of jerk chicken to go. I tried it, and it was amazing. Thank you for your hospitality. I will definitely be visiting soon. I am happy to have been introduced to Cravin by my friend Michelle. 🧡

Quaint Jamaican restaurant. Service is quick, and the food is decent. I got a large jerk chicken with rice and peas, and plantain. The chicken was moist but the amount of rice was overkill. I also got 3 patties, which were the stars of the show. If you’re going to visit try the curry chicken, jerk chicken, and spinach patties.
I tried Cravin in when it first opened in White Plains (see previous review). I only had breakfast there because how am I gonna pass up ackee and saltfish for breakfast? I was too thrilled they opened in Mount Vernon. Restaurant is clean and bright, the customer service is great, and the food is on point. I'm stuck on the fried chicken and rasta pasta right now, but the jerk wings and jerk chicken are good too. They have beef patties, even Jamaican ice cream. That Greatnutt tho! Definitely worth checking this spot out.

Ordered a Snapper for my daughter, she liked it, said the rice could of been more flavorful. Ordered a Jerk Chicken for my wife, her remarks are the rice could be better but the chicken was seasoned perfectly! They both gave it a 8.5/10. We’ll return for sure, glad this spot is across the street.
I ordered from Cravin for the first time through Uber Eats. My food was sent out and on the way almost immediately which, in hindsight, should’ve been a red flag. I ordered the jerk salmon with rice and peas (with oxtail gravy), plus sweet chili wings, a side of mac and cheese, and plantains. The “jerk” salmon was simply a soft, fishy-tasting piece of salmon with a strange bottled brown sauce poured on top…nothing close to authentic jerk seasoning. (See attached photo for reference.) The oxtail gravy on the rice was weak and lacked depth, which makes me confident the oxtails themselves wouldn’t be any better. The rice and plantains were the only decent items, and that’s not saying much. The mac and cheese looked and tasted like a mix of Velveeta with a little real cheese sprinkled between layers. The noodles were oversized and overcooked. As for the wings — the photo on Uber Eats showed small, crispy-looking wings. What I received were huge, rubbery wings that looked like they came from antibiotic-pumped chickens. They were barely seasoned, soggy, and falling apart — clearly sitting in sauce all day. Wings should have at least some crunch, even with sauce on them. I spent $60 on a meal that ended up in the trash. I wouldn’t even give it to my dog — and that’s because I actually care about him.

Husband bought food from here 3 days ago. Paid over $150 for food that was dry and lacking taste. Very basic with little seasoning, especially the escovish fish. Rice had no coconut in it, no taste at all! Fried plantains were hard and not ripe. Everything was like old reheated food. Disappointing 😞

There used to be a lady there that was so pleasant but the new older lady there is NOT quite friendly and she makes the plates of food very skimpy for plates that are almost $20 plates. Hopefully they can do better with that and the customer service.
