Opinions de Blue Line Pizza Mountain View
We love their food and come often. Their service is very good! Speed of getting food ready is also good. Their sticky mango rice dessert is very good, sweet and ripe mangos. Still many dishes to try!
This actually turns out better than we expected! Guess it's not yet broadly shared on xiaohongshu but already got full house on a Friday evening. Food has 锅气 which is very authentic. Rotti with peanut sauce, papaya salad, spicy basil with ground pork all are very good. Their mild spicy level is probably medium in other American-Thai restaurant, authentic in its way. Prices are reasonable, we got more than we could finish.
While visiting Castro Street we decided to try this Thai restaurant and were very pleased with the quality and taste of the food, the service and the environment. The Mango salad with crispy tofu was exquisite. The spicy eggplant stir fry with prawn was also amazing. We paired it with steamed brown rice and after our first few bites decided we will definitely be back to try other dishes.
The owner was very nice and generous. The food was really good and the service was fast.
Everyone in our group loved their food. I recommend their curry dishes (Mussaman & yellow curry), spring rolls, ginger tea, and roti with cashew sauce appetizer.
We visited this place for team lunch. Great Thai place with excellent food! I loved the authenticity of the food and their service was great and friendly! Great vegetarian options too! Deserts were okayish! Worth a try!
One of the best Thai restaurants I have been. Hot Tom yum soup was made of shrimp, mushrooms and tomatoes and it was very sour. Hoa Mok Fish was tasty and the spice level was pretty good.
Best Thai food experience in Mountain View/Palo Alto. Our months- long search is over. We had chicken satay, soft tofu fresh rolls, and spicy basil tofu fried rice. All really good. Great service, airy, on a busy fun closed street. We will be back!
Very nice Thai restaurant. We enjoyed large coconut seafood soup and springs rolls and also Sinhga beer. Everything was fresh and tasty.
10/10 experience and food. I used to come to Amarin a lot when I lived nearby. I have not been back in a long time but was able to stop by the new location. I am so grateful that I was able to come back and have the mango cashew chicken & thai tea. Everything was delicious, just like I remembered. The service was great and everyone who helped me was so kind. I will be back when I am in the area again!
The pizza was really good. We were there early, so not much of an atmosphere, but it was nice and quiet. The service was okay.
These guys are awesome! Their food is the absolute best too. This one time I had the smallest of an issue with my pizza (1 incorrect topping), and without any question the staff and manager apologized and even gave me a full replacement pizza for anytime later. This is a frequent stop of mine. Keep doing what you guys do ❤️
Tried the Italian Combo pizza, chicken wings, and Brussels sprouts—everything was delicious! The Amber Ale was a great pick, too. Apologies for the half-eaten pizza in the photo—we couldn’t wait to dig in! Service was excellent, and the outdoor seating made for a relaxing Friday evening after work. Highly recommend!
Hands down one of the best experiences and pizzas I've ever had. The service was fast and courteous, we sat outside and it was great watching all the people dining all around us at a bunch of different places. We got the Chicago chop pizza, the small with deep dish was more than enough for 2 people. I recommend at least 3 people. The shishito peppers were also brilliant. I definitely recommend you try them with the lemon (squeeze a lil lemon juice and put some chevre on it) *chef kiss* so yummy! I live the outdoor area here, so great!
The food was super tasty. I ordered garlic bread and the chicago pizza. That was probably the best garlic bread I've ever tried. The server was friendly and would refill drinks quickly without us needing to ask. Food wait time wasn't too long, roughly 10 - 15 mins. Would definitely go again.
Excellent pizza. Service was good but confusing at first because my table didn't have a QR code to scan and submit your order. I do like that process though. Simple to add things on or make additional requests without having to flag someone down. I had an order of garlic bread and a small deep dish and both were great. Will definitely be back when I'm in the area again.
Blue Line Pizza was recommended by a couple of friends and we decided to try it out finally. The ambiance is casual and warm, the servers were friendly and we enjoyed our dinner. Now coming back to the food, we tried their specialty which is a deep dish pizza, it wasn't like a true Chicago deep dish but you wont be disappointed. We loved it, the taste was good and the crust was awesome. I give them 5 on 5 and we will be visiting soon. We visited last year before Covid struck the world!
Trying this place after 10 years. The quality has gone down compared to our last experience. The spring roll was good but the sauce could have been better. It was too salty that it overwhelmed other tastes. Pineapple fried rice was good you can’t go wrong with it. Green curry was delicious. I think this was the only place that I could find spicy Thai curry. Overall, good meal, but kinda overpriced.
We have eaten here for years and this is the first time at the new location. This place is half the size of the old location that was across the street. The food is still very good. Mango cashew chicken is a family favorite. Service has room for improvement. They dropped stacks of plates on the center of our table and had us place them, dropped 4 glasses and left at the side of the table, and brought the wrong appetizer by accident, We will still return and hope service is better next time.
The food was delicious I enjoyed the green curry I ordered and the pan-fried noodles. Service: The server was also really attentive to our friends’ nut allergy so I appreciated how they went back to check if the dishes were nut-free. The service can be slow also. We waited a while for our food and they almost missed the last dish we ordered, so expect to wait after you order. Restaurant: The restaurant has plenty of seatings. They have Thai decorations on the wall which is nice to see. It also looks like they have the tables where you sit on the floor, but those were closed when we came. Parking: Parking around downtown Mountain View’s not bad. We just parked in one of the lots nearby.
The food was really delicious but I am giving four stars because they gave us small dish and it was hard for us to eat in small dish. Apart from this the overall quality of food was awesome and the service was also good. Along with it they also helped us by keeping the cake in refrigerator as went to celebrate one of friends birthday. Fried rice , spring roll, pranthey and chutney and special salad was too good but the quantity was less as per price. I am definitely going there again!!
A great Thai place to eat with friends! The Tom ka soup is pretty good! I ordered with seafood. Curry is a bit salty but I guess you need to eat it with lots of rices, crab fried rice is my favorite! I had it twice but first time is better than second I guess. Still enjoyable
Came for lunch. Tried to skip carb and eat healthier and asked if I can have veggie as replacement. The waitress was flexible and agreed to change it without extra charge. Food came fast. My soup was delicious, although the replaced bean sprouts were scanty. Can't ask for more when they were nice enough to modify for you. Basil chicken and yellow curry chicken were both tasty. Yet the papaya salad was unbearably sour and tasted terrible, it also had fishy smell. I've never had papaya salad this bad. The recipe was a disaster. Service was very nice. Staff was polite and attentive. Would probably come back to try other dishes.
Good authentic Thai food. Friendly staff. Nice ambience. A bit pricey but well worth the tasty fare they serve. Some tables offer great view of the street and you watch the world stroll by.
Vegan pizza was excellent, especially the truffle mushroom. Would be amazing to see even more fully plant based options on the me u in the future!
They have amazing deep dish. It all stayed in one piece when slicing. The cheese and toppings didn’t slide off. We had half of the pizza without mushrooms, but they didn’t mark which side. The tomatoes in the sauce were absolutely delicious. Picking up the pizza was a little odd. It took them a while to find the order, but worth it.
Good authentic food mostly, curry etc a bit over seasoned . Also note that extra sauce for ROTI seems like an extra charge of $7. Also the bill was given to me without showing the specific price for each item. Just wishing more honesty on this. The point is mostly deducted for this.
Pros: spacious indoor and outdoor seating, good selection of food options. Cons: server was making mistakes in serving the food( wrong, late). blue line pizza was tasting really bad, way too much sauce on one side and very little sauce on the other half. Chicken barbecue pizza was all piles of bbq sauce in top which made very bad looking and tasted bad too.
We came in here because there were no lines on Friday night and we got immediate seating. Not a place where you would come in for “vibe” as opposed to many other restaurants on Castro. We got half and half deep dish pizza which typically takes about 30 minutes to be served. Their take on garlic bread was unique but it was a bit more like deconstructed pizza and less like garlic bread. The small deep dish pizza is more than enough for two people.
I think I fall among the rare minority who aren’t a huge fan of this pizza. It could be because their vegetarian options are simply not as good as their meat ones. But I’ve had vegetarian deep dish pizzas in other places which were just marvelous. Allow me to elaborate: I got the deep dish Aphrodite which comes with cherry tomatoes and basil. The size of the large pizza is good enough for four hungry people. The pizza was fresh and warm and served with a special tomato sauce. All good. My issue was with the fact that the amount of cheese seemed lacking - especially considering that the pizza was deep dish. The height of the pizza attested to that. It was simply not like the traditional deep dish pizza but was some sort of combination between a thin crust and deep dish. This impacted the entire taste. It was well made otherwise but this skimpiness in cheese impacted the overall flavour and experience. I did like the garlic bread which looked like a mini pizza itself and was light and airy. I also wish they had given some additional cheese to sprinkle on top. The place is not halal but their vegetarian options are interesting.
Food lacked flavor. Chicken satay and papaya salad was good. Fresh rolls and crab fried rice were average at best. Pranag chicken curry was the worst. Had big chunks of chicken with two three pieces of bell pepper. Curry was tasteless and whole dish looked unappetizing. Won’t be visiting again
Unfortunately service fell far short of even decent. Both waiters were rude and short with a 10+ minute delay to take our order and 30+ minutes to receive food. Drink refills were nonexistent. When it came time to pay the bill, we were told when we were given the check that the bill could only be split two ways. There were 6 of us that sat down and we informed the waiter we would all be separate checks and there was nothing said. We paid via handheld PoS system which could easily separate the checks. I understand it takes a few more minutes of the waiter’s time to split the checks, but that is compensated by mandatory pay and optional tips. On the positive side, the food was fantastic, with great taste and really solid portions. This unfortunately does not overcome the service issues. With all the other options in Mountain View, I would look elsewhere.
I ordered a pizza from Doordash ... simple mushroom & olive. My receipt stated that it was a mushroom & olive pizza in the box. What was in the box, however, was pizza with prego sauce, spinach, and TONS of onions. I wrote into Blue Line Pizza immediately, but the company has never responded or sent an apology! Suggestion: go with a restaurant that takes responsibility for its mistake!!!
