Celebrated Valentines 💝 day a day early this year. We chose Chophouse in Murfreesboro. I gotta say that the food was really great. Our server was really helpful and informative about the questions we asked. We both ordered the Ribeye with baked potato and broccoli along with the deviled eggs/maple bacon pieces. The eggs were tasty and the steaks were very tender (med-well). Then we ordered the strawberry cake with vanilla bean ice cream. The experience was one of the best we have had dining. Great job Chophouse.
We had a wonderful evening. The restaurant was very busy but well organized, and the service was excellent. The food was great overall. I didn’t love the side dish, but the steak was outstanding, one of the best I’ve had in a long time. The prices were reasonable for the quality, and overall it was a very good experience. I would definitely come back.
A must try for those that don’t like long reviews. Was in town for an event and had a few colleagues mentioned they went the night before and had a good dinner. I have eaten at the big name steakhouses so wasn’t sure was I was in for. We didn’t have a reservation and was greeted at the door and at the hostess station and only waited 10 min for a booth for 2. Our server came right over. I decided to try the old-fashioned. My friend decided to get a glass of wine. They bought out a basket of bread that was really delicious and I was impressed as it was fresh baked bread. As far as the old-fashioned wasn’t the best one I’ve ever had so we decided to order the steak medallion special. I had the Caesar salad and yes, it does have anchovies in it the way it’s supposed to be the salad was fresh and delicious. Our food came out shortly after, and it was cooked correct. The mashed potatoes were amazing so then it came time for dessert and of course our server did a great job telling us about the desserts all the desserts are made on premises. Including ice cream. My friend had the ice cream and I had the Keylime pie all very inexpensive by when I’m used to for a higher at a steakhouse service was amazing The general manager came around to ask if everything was OK if I’m ever back in the area I will be sure to stop by here.
Everything was great... OMG — hands down the BEST ribeye steak I’ve ever had! Perfectly cooked, incredibly flavorful, and topped with sautéed mushrooms, onions, and just the right amount of blue cheese crumble. Every bite was unforgettable. The experience was so memorable that this is officially my go-to spot for every birthday, anniversary, and special occasion from now on. The atmosphere, the service, and that ribeye… absolutely unmatched. Highly recommend!
The food was perfect. The service prompt and unobtrusive. Our reserved table for eight was set beautifully before the fire place. It was a family celebration with our young adults who usually are in more casual settings. They loved the tablecloth, place settings, and special service. They loved the steaks!
The Chop House was recommended by a friend and now I am recommending it to everyone. My wife stated that the glass of wine she had made her "Soul Happy." I had a beer and I was good. The atmosphere was low key and quiet. The wait staff and managers we fantastic, we never wanted for attention. The food was Fantastic, my wife recommends the "Oscar" i had the Halibut, not meals were fantastic. The place can be fancy for those who will enjoy a nice night out and it can be a great place to eat. We will definitely be returning. A special thanks to our server Elijah. You rocked!
Perfect in every single way. Service and food as well. Even the chopped salad is a spectacular dish topped with half of a fresh avocado. The Prime Rib tonight was also absolutely amazing. I could almost cut it with a fork and the Au Jus complimented it very well along side Burgundy Mushrooms it was a wonderful Sunday Dinner. As soon as I tasted the salad I knew I was in for a treat. This is not your average steakhouse. It's incomparable to almost any steakhouse I've ever been in and I will be coming back to enjoy the bar area soon. The atmosphere is great, upscale but not "snotty" and my particular waitress tonight was an excellent conversationalist and a top tier server. It's even better to have a great dinner AND meet a great new face.
Just had a fabulous dinner at this great “Chop house”. Our server was Quincy who was fantastic and knowledgable about everything on the menu. My wife ordered a lobster tail, corned crème Brûlée and a salad and deviled eggs. I ordered the chef special delmonico rib eye with a salad, potato and broccoli. All of this food was amazing. We ended the night with a few of the desserts on the dessert menu. For drinks we got a mojito and chocolate martini. All the food, service and drinks and atmosphere were top notch and highly recommend. Now we may have ordered some of the more expensive things on the menu, but it was soo affordable! This place can be a casual dinner date or an anniversary dinner like the one I had with my wife. Great night!
Customer service was excellent. There were some discrepancies between customer requests and the food provided. I believe the bartender could enhance their drink preparation; my Bloody Mary, for instance, had a disproportionate amount of tomato juice and lacked a sufficient liquor presence. Rectifying meal errors also seemed to take an extended period. I nearly slipped in the vicinity of the grill, likely due to a greasy floor near the BBQ section, which warrants attention. Overall, satisfactory; however, there is room for improvement.
Great food and service by all of the staff. Becky was our waitress and she was phenomenal. We both had the ribeye and they were cooked perfectly. Salad was fresh and the baked potatoes were spot on. It was loud due to a large party with several small children but after they left it was more suitable for a nice meal. No biggy. The kids were having a good time.
And they have a hurricane on the bar menu! Many places don’t offer the drink because it requires passion fruit juice. It was excellent! They brought us some very tasty bread right off the bat. After that came an excellent house salad. For entrees we had prime rib and baby back ribs. Prime rib was perfectly done and the ribs were “fall off the bone” tender. Mashed potatoes were great as well. I got an extra side of creamed spinach, since it is one of my favorite things and I can never resist when it is available. It was perfect. Fantastic dinner at a fantastic restaurant!
This is a place I would definitely go back to every day! I found it on my way from Chattanooga to Memphis and it was actually the best food, presentation and service! The dishes with a generous portion, Michael's attention and recommendations were amazing, and the price definitely amazing in relation to quantity and quality! I'm back and I recommend it 100%. These are just reference images because we had half of our dishes eaten when we thought of taking a picture! But in reality the arrival was WoW!
This is my first visit to The Chop House, and I absolutely love the place already. Nice music playing gives it a nice laid back atmosphere. I'm here celebrating our 2nd anniversary and we chose a upscale steak house. I ordered the ribeye and the steak was so juicy and it melted in my mouth it's that tender. 😋 My wife had the crabcakes and they were the best cakes she's ever had. The service is very friendly and fast. We went on a Tuesday so it wasn't too busy, but the place is still full. We also ordered 2 drinks, she got the cool as a cucumber 🥒 and me the superfruit lemonade 🍋. Key lime pie for dessert. I will definitely be back to order something else delicious from the menu. It didn't disappoint 🧐😁
The Chili was good, the lemonade was good, but the Ribeye was fantastic. The steak doneness was on point, not perfect, but it was almost there. I asked for medium rare and as you can tell from the picture it was right on point, It was more on the medium side, but it was delicious. The loaded baked potato was good as well. The service was great. Kudos to Taylor, awesome waiter. Table for two, 80 bucks, not bad at all.
We had the prime rib sandwich and the Cajun chicken pizza Florentine. The prime rib was a thinner portion than usual but delicious. It was late in the evening. Tend to be larger earlier in the evening. Love the bartenders here. Great experience.
Always the best service. Victoria rocks as a hostess and every single server we ever have has been incredible. Today it was Piper and she was awesome. That’s why we eat here once or twice a week.
What a great find in Murfreesboro! Stopped in for lunch and was not disappointed. We both got the Prime Rib and all expectations were exceeded. It was cooked perfectly along with the sides.
We ordered prime rib and it was excellent. Probably the best I’ve ever had. Abby was our server and she made sure our Christmas Eve Dinner was one to remember. I strongly recommend The Chop House for dining. We will definitely be back.
I believe my server was Jacob, he was truly amazing and attentive! Our wait wasn’t long, the food and drinks were amazing and that lunch menu price was awesome! I believe I found my new lunch spot! I do hope I got the gentleman’s name right because he deserves all the praise. I travel a lot and I haven’t had that good of service in a very long time!
So glad my husband and I chose to eat dinner at the Chop House on our way home from Florida when we stayed over in Murfreesboro last night. We used open table to make a reservation an hour before arriving at the restaurant. We were warmly greeted and seated in a nice booth by the fireplace upon arrival. Our server was welcoming and engaging and provided us with helpful suggestions for our selections. We chose the chef’s choice of the Delmonico ribeye and it was phenomenal. We opted for burgundy mushrooms and asparagus. Their salad with the French dressing was delicious as was the deviled eggs with bacon. We ordered the strawberry cream cake for dessert and it was so amazing. The manager stopped by to greet us and thank us for stopping in. Everyone was very friendly and we felt right at home despite having traveled 700 miles that day and stopping in for dinner before checking into our hotel. We were so happy we to have experienced the Chop House and highly recommend to all.
The setting is sophisticated yet relaxing. The service is impeccable and I tried lamb chops for the first time and was not disappointed. They were cooked to perfection and seasoned perfectly. My virgin pina colada was one of the best I’ve had. The Chop House is my new favorite place for a great dining experience.
The food was great. I had a prime rib sandwich and onion rings. Both were extremely good. This was my first visit. The onion rings were very large with a thin coating. Never had onion rings like this. Our server, Camryn, was very professional. The service was great. I look forward to my next visit here. Two other people with me had food that was just as good. Just a great experience. Thank you to all the made our visit special. It is kind of rare to get a total experience as good as this.
Calendar (sp)... absolutely wonderful young lady! Very engaging and attentive. The food was on point, the shrimp bisque was top flight, the atmosphere was perfect for a little lunchtime conversation and the manager was well versed in hospitality!
Everyone was very pleasant, the food was prepared just as ordered and from drinks to appetizers to dinner it had a perfect flow. The waitress was very helpful with answering all the questions and keeping refills and always knew when to show up at the table. This was our first time eating here and it was a great experience and we will definitely be back.
Food is always delicious. I normally eat during their lunch special hours. So much good food on that menu, one of my favorites is the Chicken Piccata. I ate at Panera the other day and paid more for one meal there than a meat, potato and salad meal at Chop House. The food is always consistent. Chop House is just one of those places where you never get a bad meal, not too many of those around anymore. I have never had bad service at Chop House either, the servers are always attentive and kind. The restaurant is clean and efficient. I would have to say Chop House is my favorite restaurant in Murfreesboro.
Amazing service, went on a busy Friday night, to celebrate some birthdays. Our waitress was amazing her name was Analee or Analisa...(it was loud and I was a bit distracted by my 3 yr old) but she was the sweetest and most efficient waitress, drink refills kept coming before I even realized I wanted another sip. Felt bad we had to dip out quick since one of the members of our party wasn't feeling too good. Really wished I could have thanked her more! I hope the gratuity we left portrayed appreciative we were of her service! Oh food was great too🤣
Just had dinner there with a party of 13. Even though we had a reservation It took a little while for our table to be ready. The manager on duty came over and apologize and gave us an appetizer on the house. We were all very appreciative. The food was delicious, and the portions were very large. The price was extremely reasonable, and our waitress was amazing. She was very friendly, caring, and attentive. All the food came out at the same time and was cooked perfectly and was hot when it arrived to the table. The steaks watch, tremendous in both size and flavor. The side dishes were very large as were the soup or salad. The drinks from the bar were well made, and very reasonably priced.
Chop House is such a treat for our family. Its the best restaurant in Rutherford County. We have not had a bad experience or a bad meal yet. We try to go at least once a month. Its definitely our go to place when family come to town and we want to treat them with a great meal, great service and great atmosphere! We can always count on The Chop House to impress.
This past Saturday night we had a party of 6 and we requested table #35 on the backside of the fireplace as this is our family’s most favorite area in the restaurant ❤️. Our server was wonderful and everything was very timely. The entire experience was wonderful! The only thing that may bring attention to is maybe when the appetizers come to the table it would be nice to deliver them to the person who ordered them. Sometimes appetizers are ordered for the entire table but in our case ours were not as we had 3 separate tickets that night. Being delivered to the person who ordered them and who is paying for the appetizer takes away having an awkward Taking of the appetizer. I had 2 orders of shrimp cocktail appetizers and the person who delivered them just sat them on the table in front of people who did not order any and I had to reach across the table to retrieve them. That was awkward to do. So if items could be delivered to the person who ordered unless it is stated appetizers are for the table, it would be more seamless. But we were very happy with our evening and The Chop Housenis our most favorite we will always be back! ❤️
Food was amazing. We ate here with our 10 year old son. He really liked their Mac & Cheese. He ended up eating it all, and then took his cheese pizza and ate it later. Husband's steak was cooked to correct doneness, and my Mahi-Mahi was also deliciously done. Not dry, and flavorful!
Brought my 5 1/2 year old granddaughter for New Years Eve. The waitress made our night. I brought a bottle of sparkling grape juice. She brought beautiful glasses to drink it out of and poured our "wine". The food was excellent!!
Came here to celebrate my birthday with my family. Had an excellent meal followed by some yummy fresh churned peppermint ice cream. My ribeye was little undercooked but they quickly remedied it with a freshly cooked steak at the perfect medium temperature. I tried the creamed corn brûlée which was very good topped with the perfect brûlée crust. Our server, Elora, was friendly, checking on us regularly and making sure we had everything we needed.
Wow! I was visiting from South Dakota, the ambience is amazing, loved the fireplace. Friendly, thoughtful staff. The filet: Cooked to medium rare perfection, seasoned to perfection, the only issue is the drive to come back and eat again!! Thank you for an amazing experience.
The Chop House never disappoints! The deviled eggs were amazing-perfectly seasoned and such a great start to the meal. The salad was fresh and on point, and the prime rib with loaded mashed potatoes was hands-down the best I’ve ever had. The service was spot on from start to finish-friendly, attentive, and professional. The atmosphere and music made it the perfect place to relax and enjoy a great dinner. Highly recommend-no cap! 😊
I did have a long wait but we also visited on a Saturday night before Christmas so that was expected. Our waitress was awesome and very attentive. My steak was cooked perfectly and the broccoli was fresh. Her recommendations for dessert was great too and I got the peppermint ice cream! Thank you for a great experience!
I was a first time diner at The Chop House. I had the prime rib, and the 8oz portion felt like 12 oz, it was flavorful and moist. My sides were on point as well. The waitress was very attentive and kept a check on us while allowing space for conversation to be smooth. My only setback was the booth was a bit tight, but that's more on me than them lol. I would highly recommend giving it a try.
We brought great friends for lunch. I had the grilled chicken salad, and it was great!! Our friends had turkey and loved it - and ended up taking about half the order home!!! My wife had the salmon and was a little disappointed in the portion size. Also, she asked for rare and received raw. She sent it back to be cooked a little more, and it was returned cooked well done. They brought her another piece that was properly cooked. In all honesty, they were incredibly accommodating!! No 'sour face' or 'rolling eyes' - just great service!! I marked down the 'atmosphere because of the 'noise'. We had a hard time having a conversation and hearing each other.... the background noise was pretty loud....
Cindy was a wonderful server. This was the first time we had her as a server and she was so attentive and kind and we got our food quickly which we appreciated. Amber is another great server that we’ve had in the past as well. Victoria at the host stand is always excellent, everything always runs so much smoother at the front when she is there. She pays attention to details and calls me by name every time I visit, which makes the experience more personable considering I’m not a local and drive an hour and a half any time I visit. We love visiting the Chop House and employees like these 3 make the experience worth the trip.
When I made my reservation, I asked for a booth so we would be able to talk. When we arrived, we were escorted to a booth in a quiet corner. Despite there being a large group of 65 people also in the vicinity of where we were seated, the noise level never got too loud, and we easily carried on a conversation in our booth. The service was outstanding, as was the food. And the waitstaff went above and beyond when, after paying for the bill and signing the receipt, I accidentally hit my credit card while sliding my receipt off the top, and it slid across the table, on to the booth seat, and down between the booth and the wall. When I could not see it, I approached a member of the waitstaff and explained what happened. She quickly said, “let me see if I can’t solve that for you.” She leaned down, removed the booth seat, climbed over the infrastructure, and shined her iPhone light into the space and saw the credit card where it had slipped between the frame supporting the booth and the side wall. She then spent a number of minutes concocting several possible Contraptions that would be slim enough to slip down in the space, yet firm enough to then be able to push the credit card forward and out from the gap between the booth seat frame and the wall. She did not give up when the first two failed, concocted a third one, and successfully extracted my credit card. She wasn’t even the waitress serving our table, just one that was walking by when I realized what had happened. I could not have been more appreciative of the service we received for our meal, as well as the service we received in retrieving my credit card. I will return often to the Chop House! .
Fabulous dinner !!! Everything we had was wonderful and the service was impeccable. The calamari and shrimp appetizer was amazing along with the bread and honey butter. The chopped salad was very unique and loved all the flavors. The steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare and was so tender...melts in your mouth. Even though it was Christmas Eve, the service was amazing and each course was promptly served by one of the nicest waitresses we have ever had. KUDOS to the Chop House in Murfreesboro. We will definitely be back !!!!
Started with Shrimp Bisque. Nice flavor amd a good start. Ordered the prime rib and fully loaded baked potato with a side of grilled shrimp. Let’s start with the prime rib. The cut was amazingly tender and with a decent taste. The meat itself did lack some seasoning but that was made up for in the au jus. A quick dip and the flavor shined. The shrimp were slightly dry but the seasoning was spot on. Made you like your fingers after you picked up the shrimp. The potato was definitely a potato. Even with the topping there was nothing to really stand out. Overall a very enjoyable meal with the star of the show being the au jus and seasoning on the grilled shrimp.
Food was great, server was great however the hosts were less than desirable. When you walk in they just look they don’t greet you and don’t seem happy to be there. Get the greeting together and it will be perfect.
Upon entering the establishment, we were greeted by the hostess, who informed us that our waiter would be with us shortly. She offered us tortillas, seemingly because we were the only Mexicans in the establishment. That comment was unacceptable and felt thoughtless; she probably didn’t consider her words before speaking. This left us feeling somewhat offended. However, our actual waiter’s service was superb and exceeded my expectations. The steak was cooked to perfection, exactly as I requested, and tasted delicious. The shrimp were mouth-watering, succulent, and truly flavorful, making the meal exceptional overall.
I mean this was supposed to be a good meal and maybe I just ordered the wrong special, but the sea bass was hot trash. $48 bucks for an over cooked undersized piece of fish. The steaks that were ordered looked good, I had a bite tasted like a steak. Strawberry buttercake was the best thing on the table all night and the devil egg app is worth it. Sad to say I did not enjoy be cramped in to a corner booth for a party of 6 grown men with a reservation for a table please. No more than an overpriced Outback with great Buttercake.
Food was amazing and the atmosphere in the bar was very nice and relaxed. The only problem was that both of the bathrooms were extremely tiny (I could almost see the person next to me) and EXTREMELY dirty, toilet paper on the floors and clogged toilets. If they get the bathroom situation taken care of it would definitely be a 5 star place to go to.
Perhaps dine-in may be different, but ordering delivery from their website was mid at best, even with the understanding that it won't be as warm/quality as in-person. My wife's steak (she prefers well done, no pink, her choice not mine) was VERY dry and almost no seasoning. Before all the "duh, that's what they call well done", I can grill a well done and be tender/juicy(ish), we've ordered well done from many other locations for her and are tender/juicy(ish), and for some reason this was.... well, well well done and bland. I don't judge, and I'm not saying this is the case, but this falls under a chef's rule "if you order it well done, you aren't getting any of the good cuts" kind of steak attitude. Baked potato she said was also bland and cold. I tried both and agreed with her. Again, we've done plenty of online orders before, I get that items will be lower temp/quality than dine-in and I don't consider that nearly as much as flavor. As for the appetizer, mozzarella sticks, I'm not sure what I expected but for $15 I was unimpressed. 6 plain-Jane basic mozzy sticks.... I can get the same exact thing (or more/better) for $6-7 at any fast-food place or freezer section in grocery store. Maybe I'm an outlier based on other reviews I've read, but I cannot justify the price for what we received, especially if you order delivery. Ultimately, there are other options at this price point that provided better quality/flavored food.
Dined here on Tuesday night, 1/20/26. We came in without a reservation and, even though the place was busy, we were seated fairly quickly in the bar area. The hostess was great—friendly, professional, and welcoming. The food was good, well cooked, and reasonably priced. Unfortunately, the service took away from the experience. We ordered a bottle of Rombauer Cabernet Sauvignon ($99). The server completely broke the cork while opening it. We understand this can happen, especially if the cork is dry, but instead of bringing a new bottle, she walked away and had the bartender strain and decant the wine. He came to our table and asked if it was okay to decant it—but only after it was already done. We didn’t want to wait any longer, so my husband agreed. Even after straining, there were still small pieces of cork in the wine. The whole process took about 20 minutes. While this was happening, the server asked if we wanted to order food, but I preferred to wait until the wine situation was resolved. The delay made the whole start of the evening uncomfortable, and honestly, I would have left at that point if not for my husband. After that, she took our order, later dropped off the dessert menu, and then brought the check—without ever really checking on us. The wine was left in a decanter, and we poured it ourselves. She didn’t touch the decanter even once until it was empty and ready to be cleared. It felt like she was focused on side work and stepping away rather than paying attention to her table. To add to that, the dessert menu was dropped off before our starter plates were cleared, so we essentially paid before the table was even cleaned. When the check came, nothing was comped or discounted, and nothing was offered to acknowledge the delay or inconvenience. After we had already paid, a manager did stop by to check on us, but at that point we just wanted to leave and didn’t feel like reopening the situation. The food itself was solid and fairly priced, but because of the service, I can’t say it was a great experience. I’m not sure we would choose this place again the next time we’re in the area.
I'll start by saying I'm writing this review out of disappointment. Three years ago I went to Chop House and had an amazing experience and amazing meal. I've been back 4 times since then and it's been worse each time. Now I've decided last night was my last. Let me start by saying first that the Prime Rib chili was delicious (at least it was 3 years ago because thats the only time I've been able to get it there). I had it the first time I went to the restaurant and it sold me. But since then every time I went back it was not a soup option. The second visit I was disappointed to hear it was not a regular soup. I got to the point that I started calling to see what the soup was before going. Yesterday I was told Prime Rib Chilli was on the menu. I booked a reservation immediately. I arrived, I was seated, and after being seating I was told that they no longer had it that day and that they only had it earlier in the day. The waitress was nice but the food service took way too long as slow as they were after 8pm. While waiting, hungry, we were also told they were out of bread. Out of BREAD?!? One person in our party ordered Gumbo which should have come with rice but I guess they were out of that as well. The only reason I returned to the Chop House was for the Prime Rib Chili because In a previous visit I was very disappointed with the seasoning used on the chicken tinders, and we've also had some very dry pork chops in a visit before that. If this were a 5 star restaurant I would expect flawless execution. If it were a 4 star restaurant I would expect their best soup on the menu to always be available. But even 3 star restaurants can at least be accurate when you call and ask what's on the menu, and they don't run out of bread. So I'm giving Chop House 2 stars now. It sounded to me like they just stoped making food that night which is when you might as well close for the day if you're not going to try and maintain a certain level of expectations.
Horrible Birthday experience! I made reservations for 6 when we got there they gave us this awkward table that was really too small for us and after I complained they gave us a table that was still snug but was better. 10 minutes later the waitress who had NO personality and was stiff as a board spilled 6 drinks across the table. She did not once apologize. My husband and I luckily scooted out of the way but the table was totally soaked. I will have to take my coat to be dry cleaned another cost out of ths horrible dinner I was not offered compensation for. They cleaned up in a half assed manner. I was annoyed at that point and I asked the manager to switch our server. She did give us a new server and but we had to ask for new silverware and the table to be completely dried, which they never did. Food was good but the new server was very low touch and at the end of the meal I go the full bill, NO complimentary anything. While I did not expect the whole dinner free, taking off the drinks or an app would have been the right thing to do. I gave a substandard tip, but a tip none the less and left. I AM NOT IMPRESSED, and will never go back, EVER. I will make sure that everyone I know is aware of how my son's 16th birthday dinner was ruined!! I would expect better for a $350+dinner! Avoid this joke of a resturant!
I came here on Valentine’s Day as a newly orphaned person coming to celebrate Valentine’s Day alone after the death of my father. I was largely ignored at the podium for about 5 to 10 minutes while I was just standing there. I was not greeted. I was not told it will be just a minute. This was on February 14 at 2:30 PM. I realized that the restaurant was busy but when I was finally acknowledged, I said I just needed a seating for one and was told roughly that it would be a two hour wait. I was not offered a seat at the bar nor asked again if I wanted to wait I was brutally ignored and I walked out. I don’t know that I will ever come back here again as this was my first and only time to ever come here. If this is how they treat customers at all it’s a wonder you were as busy as you were.
